Y/n POV
Outside the farmhouse, Leo, Raph, Casey and I are training.
"Come on, let's get to it. I'm feeling a lot better. Today, I'm taking you three down." Leo stated.
"Ha! In your dreams, Leo." Raph stated.
"Dude, the guy's been down for, like, ever. Cut him some slack, okay?" Casey stated.
"Come on, Case, let Raph get back into his competitive groove. Honestly, I've missed it; besides, Leo's picking a fight he can't win." I stated.
"Yeah, Leo. I bet you can't take the three of us down." Raph stated.
"Let's find out." Leo stated.
They start to train. He charged at Casey and took him down. Raph jumps in and took down Leo's katana In the process, Leo's right knee snaps again
"Ugh! No, no, not again." Leo said, in pain.
"Bro!/Leo!" Raph, Casey and I exclaimed.
Me and Raph help him up and to the stairway.
"Just let me down here. It's hopeless." Leo said.
"Ah, come on, Leo. You just need to stretch it out." Raph stated.
"You can still spar with us." Casey stated.
"No! I mean, I'd just hold you back. You guys train. I'll watch. It's all I'm good for anyway." Leo said.
"Come on, Leo; that's quitter talk. You're not a quitter, you're our leader." I stated as Leo just looked at me with sad eyes.
"Stupid leg. Never gonna heal." Leo muttered.
"I'm worried about Leo." Casey stated.
"Yeah. I've never seen him so down." Raph said.
"Neither have I; he's never been like this." I said as we hear a roar and then a giant creature appeared.
I hear Donnie, Mikey and April coming outside to see the creature, a giant bird creature with a long neck, tentacles at the bottom and huge wings. The creature roars and started to attack us.
"What the heck? Another mutant?" Casey asked.
"Where'd it come from?" Raph and I asked in unison.
The bird started to swat them away.
"Booyakashaaa! Ooh, bird, worm, and fish. Three animals, one body. I know this one. There's like a perfect name for it in mythology." Mikey stated.
"Chimera?" Donnie asked.
"No, Turducken. But Chimera works." Mikey stated.
We start to attack the beast as it roars. Donnie used his bo to kick the chimera in the face. Raph hits it on the other side.
"In yo beak!" Mikey exclaimed.
Mikey knocked the bird down. It roars and tries to attack Leo, due to his broken knee, he crashes into April.
"Careful, April. You gotta find cover." Leo said.
"What? Is that me I'm looking at? Look out!" April exclaimed as the chimera charged.
"This is my fault. I summoned this thing." April said.
The chimera tries to bite but Raph attacks. The chimera grabs him with its beak.
"Agghhh! Little help!" Raph said.
Mikey and Donnie get grabbed too. Casey gets to the rooftop.
"Time to bring the pain. Goongala!" Casey exclaimed.
He charges but the Chimera grabs him.
"Whoa! Aghh! Your pain! Your pain!" Casey exclaimed.
The Chimera takes the group away.
"No! Donnie! Raph! Mikey! Casey!" I screamed.
"No! Aghh! They're gone. I couldn't do anything." Leo said.
"Leo? Y/n? My eyes." April said.
"April. You're blind?" Leo said.
"Not exactly. Somehow I got a psychic connection to the monster. Maybe from Donnie's neurotransmitter? I'm seeing through its eyes. I know where it's taking them. And....Uh oh. I know why it took them too. I feel really hungry. Like Mikey hungry." April stated.
"You don't mean?" I asked April and she nodded.
I covered my mouth as tears formed in my eyes.
After a while, April screams in pain as she feels the bird's pain.
"April?" Leo asked.
"I-I'm fine. I-I could feel the creature's pain. It got dizzy. The guys are at the top of Talbot Peak. We better hurry." April stated.
"Hurry? April, look at us..." Leo said.
"That's a little difficult right now." April said.
"My point exactly. You can't see. I can't walk. We'll never make it." Leo stated.
"We'll make it. No matter what...I meant to do that." April stated as her head hit a tree.
'We are a mess.' I thought to myself.
I could hear Donnie, Raph, Mikey and Casey falling down the mountain and into a cave. The Chimera roars in anger.
"Okay, they're safe, for now. They're in a cave." I stated.
"I can't believe you talked me into this." Leo said.
"She shouldn't have to." April stated.
"You don't understand. I thought I was getting better, but I was hurt again way too easily. I'm a liability to the whole team." Leo stated.
"You're not! You're our leader. We can help them. We have to help them." I stated as Leo smiled.
"Things are getting worse. We gotta hurry!" April and I stated in unison.
"I'm trying...my best." Leo stated as April started to sniff him.
"Leo. You...you smell really...Good!" April said as Leo stepped away.
"Don't get any funny ideas, April." I stated as shielded Leo.
"I'm hungry. So hungry!" April exclaimed.
She sniffs, then starts behaving like a chicken and tries to eat Leo and I.
"April. Snap out of it. APRIL!" Leo exclaimed as April came to her senses.
"Oh, man, Leo, Y/n. I am so embarrassed right now." April said.
"It's okay. Just, uh, please stop trying to bite me." Leo stated.
"We have to hurry. The link between you and the Chimera is getting stronger." I stated.
"So let's- Oh man! I can't believe it. I'm standing. I'm standing!" Leo exclaimed.
"Then come on. Let's save the guys." I stated as we started to climb the mountain.
"We made it. But I don't see the fish/bird/worm thing." Leo stated.
"I see clouds. I'm flying through them faster and faster. Do you see the hole?" April asked.
"Yeah, over here. Guys! Guys, do you hear me? Are you all right?" I asked.
"N/n!" Casey exclaimed.
"Y/n, yes! We're okay." Raph said.
"But we're running out of time." Donnie stated.
"Y/n, wait! It's right on top of us." April stated as the Chimera attacked.
"Leo, are you-?" I asked.
"I'm fine. I'm not going to let a little pain stop me." Leo stated.
"What about you?" Leo asked April and I.
"No worries. I'm getting the hang of this. I just need to hit myself right between the eyes." April stated.
"I'm doing well, still sensitive to loud noises." I stated.
April and Leo climbed the Chimera and they managed to crash it into the hole. With it stuck, the chimera tried to bite them but Raph knocked it out.
"It plugged the hole." Raph stated.
"That's good, right?" Casey asked.
"No, that's bad. The pressure from below has to escape somehow. If the geyser can't erupt, the whole mountain will explode." Donnie stated.
"Guys! Move!" Leo and I exclaimed in unison.
We begin to climb onto the Chimera and out of the hole.
"Finally! Are we glad to see you guys?" Mikey said.
"Yes! Thanks, N/n, Red." Casey said, as he puts a hand around my waist.
"April, your eyes... They're still-" Donnie said.
"Yeah, I can't see anything right now. The creature must be in total darkness." April stated.
"Um, guys, exploding mountain, remember?" I asked as the Chimera started shaking.
"Avalanche!" Leo exclaimed.
They begin to run until April's eyes return.
"Wait! I can see. I can see again!" April stated.
"This way!" Leo exclaimed as we ran.
"Yes! Woohoohoohoo!" Mikey screamed.
"We did it! We're alive!" Casey exclaimed.
"April, Y/n, thanks." Leo said.
"Thanks for what?" April and I asked in unison.
"I'd still be at the farm if not for you two. You both really inspired me." Leo stated.
"Aww, big brother." I said as I hugged him.
"You guys were awesome! It's good to have you back, bro." Mikey stated.
"It's good to be back." Leo stated.
"Yeah, I mean, if you're not leading, who am I supposed to complain about?" Raph asked as I giggled.
"April. I-I'm really sorry I tested that neurotransmitter on you." Donnie stated.
"I'm not. Without that psychic link, we'd have lost you guys. Plus it was cool to see through someone else's eyes for a change. Even if it was a giant mutant beast. But the link's broken now. The Chimera's finally gone." April stated.
