Wooyoung

As the morning light filtered through the curtains, Wooyoung stirred awake, a contented smile gracing his lips as he found himself wrapped in San's arms.

Gently tracing his fingers along San's face and through his hair, Wooyoung's smile widened as he marveled at the peaceful expression on his sleeping face.

But as his gaze drifted downwards, he couldn't help but notice the dark circles under San's eyes.

The last few days must've been draining for him. Despite his usual stoic demeanor, it was clear that even he needed rest and care from time to time.

But he would get that.

Wooyoung would take good care of that.

Suppressing a giggle, Wooyoung leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to San's cheek, reveling in the way the older man let out a groan of protest before reluctantly opening his eyes.

San blinked sleepily, his gaze still heavy with sleep as he looked at Wooyoung with a mixture of confusion and amusement. "What's so funny?" he murmured, his voice rough with sleep.

Wooyoung couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the older. "Nothing, nothing," he replied, his voice soft and affectionate. "Just felt like kissing you, hyung"

San's lips quirked upwards into a sleepy smile, his hand coming up to gently caress Wooyoung's cheek. "Well, I can't say I mind," he said, his voice filled with warmth.

"So... Whats the plan for today?"

The older stretched slightly before sitting up, "We're going to bring my family and yo-", he cleared his throat, "And Yuqis family flowers".

Wooyoung nodded slightly as he yawned.

He turned to the little table next to their bed, only to be greeted by over 30 text messages and 15 missed calls from Felix, Jongho, Mingi and even Lia.

The first thing he saw when he opened his chat with Felix, was a picture of Yoongi making out with someone. Someone who wasn't Jimin.

"Oh shit", Wooyoung mumbled as he scrolled through the messages.

"Whats up?", San asked next to him as he was also scrolling through his phone, "Seonghwa sent me so many messages last night, holy shit"

"Yeah. We must've missed a lot. Look at this, hyung", Wooyoung showed San the picture who just tilted his head.

"That's not Jimin, is it?", he asked, "Read me the texts after that"

Wooyoung nodded, closing the picture before clicking on Felix texts:

"Nj?"

"I have no idea what he meant with that.."

San hummed next to him. He had been listening to Felix weird messages with a little smirk whilst putting on his shirt.

"What did Seonghwa text you?", Wooyoung asked, opening his chat with Mingi at the same time.

"Basically the same thing Felix texted you but with better grammar"

Wooyoung hummed before gasping dramatically, "Where the fuck were they last night?"

Again, Wooyoung turned his phone to show San his screen.

The picture showed Felix making out with a park bench. Next to him stood Seonghwa who seemed to be laughing his ass off.

"Where is that?", San asked, zooming in on the surroundings.

Behind them was a big lake and they were surrounded by trees.

"Definitely not Itaewon"

Wooyoung closed the picture before typing in a quick reply to both Mingi and Felix.

He then opened his chat with Jongho.

A single text light up on his screen:

"How are things with San?"

Wooyoung smiled to himself.

Finally a real message.

"Young-ah", the man next to him got his attention, "Could you get ready now? I'll go brush my teeth aswell"

"Sure hyung"

San

As San and Wooyoung wandered through the bustling flower market, the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the lively chatter of vendors and customers alike.

San couldn't help but marvel at the vibrant array of colors and shapes that surrounded them, each bouquet more beautiful than the last.

As he watched Wooyoung flit from booth to booth, his eyes alight with excitement, San couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth spread through him.

There was something infectious about Wooyoung's enthusiasm, something that made even the simplest moments feel like a grand adventure.

He knew how much the younger cared about picking out something good for his parents and that made his stomach turn.

In a good way.

Wooyoung's curiosity seemed boundless as he chatted with the flower sellers, asking them about the various scents and meanings of the flowers on display. San couldn't help but smile at the sight of him, his eyes sparkling with delight as he absorbed every bit of information like a sponge.

The younger seemed so happy.

He really belongs to Jeju.

After a few minutes of exploring, San heard Wooyoung call out to him from across the market, making his way over to where Wooyoung was standing.

Wooyoung's face was practically glowing as he pointed towards a particular bouquet, his eyes alight with excitement. "Hyung, look at these!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with awe.

San followed his gaze and found himself gazing at a stunning arrangement of flowers, each bloom more exquisite than the last. The colors were vibrant and eye-catching, the petals delicate and graceful in their arrangement.

"These flowers," Wooyoung said excitedly, "they stand for strong connections and keeping promises. That's good, right?"

San's heart swelled with warmth at Wooyoung's words, his smile growing wider as he took in the beauty of the flowers before him. It was a simple gesture, but to him it meant a lot.

He cared.

He hasn't changed at all.

With a gentle nod, San reached out to touch the delicate petals, his fingers brushing against them with reverence. The scent of the flowers was intoxicating, filling his senses with a sense of calm and tranquility.

"Thank you, Young-ah," San said softly, his voice filled with gratitude. "They're beautiful. Mom would love them"

Wooyoung beamed at him, his eyes shining with happiness. "Here, hyung, smell them," he urged, picking up the bouquet and holding it out towards San.

San leaned in and breathed in deeply, closing his eyes as the sweet scent of the flowers enveloped him in a warm embrace. It was a moment of pure bliss, a moment that he wished could last forever.

He really wished it would.

As he opened his eyes and met Wooyoung's gaze, San felt a sense of peace settle over him.

"I'll take these", San told the seller who instantly wrapped them up for him.

As they left the flower market, San cradled the bouquet of flowers carefully in his arms, a sense of satisfaction washing over him. These flowers were perfect for his family's grave.

They were his mom's favorite color.

Purple.

Wooyoung walked beside him with a contented smile. But as they passed an ice cream shop, his attention was instantly drawn to the colorful display of frozen treats.

"Hyung, look!" Wooyoung exclaimed, pointing excitedly towards the ice cream shop. "Ice cream! I can't believe they're still open in September! Who the fuck eats Ice cream in September?"

San snorted.

Without hesitation, he veered towards the shop, a smile playing at the corners of his lips.

After purchasing their ice creams, San handed Wooyoung a cone of pistachio-flavored ice cream—a flavor he knew was the younger man's favorite.

Wooyoung's eyes widened in surprise as he accepted the cone, a mixture of delight and curiosity flickering in his gaze.

"How did you know?" Wooyoung asked.

San simply shrugged, a playful glint in his eye. "Lucky guess," he replied, his lips quirking upwards into a smile.

Wooyoung couldn't help but laugh at San's response, shaking his head in amusement. "Well, it's a good guess. Like damn, I haven't eaten this for years" he said, taking a tentative lick of his ice cream.

I know.

As they continued walking along the beach, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore filled the air, a soothing backdrop to their leisurely stroll. The sun was shining bright, casting a warm golden glow over the sand and sea.

Very unusual for september.

With each step they took, San felt a sense of contentment settle over him, a feeling of peace and happiness that he hadn't felt in a long time. It was moments like these—simple, carefree moments spent with Wooyoung—that reminded him of the beauty and joy that life had to offer.

The last few years, visiting Jeju hadn't been this pleasant.

He had loved Yuqi but everytime they had been there together, he felt suffocated.

Like it wasn't a good thing to visit his parents.

It was painful every time.

But with Wooyoung it wasn't.

It was calming.

With that thought in mind, he reached out and gently took Wooyoung's hand in his own, intertwining their fingers as they continued their walk together, one step at a time.

"We're almost there", San said, glancing over at the other next to him who was happily licking at his ice cream.

Wooyoung nodded before also looking up at San.

As they approached the graveyard, nestled in the midst of a sprawling field, San felt a mix of emotions swirling inside him. The serene beauty of the landscape was a stark contrast to the weight of its meaning.

But before they could reach their destination, San gently stopped Wooyoung in his tracks, a determined look in his eyes.

He opened his mouth to speak, ready to finally confess his feelings to the younger man, but he hesitated, the words catching in his throat.

A soft chuckle escaped San's lips as he noticed the small smudge of ice cream on Wooyoung's nose. He reached out to wipe it away, "You've got a little something there," he said with a small smile, his voice warm.

Wooyoung blinked in surprise before offering a sheepish smile of thanks, his cheeks flushing pink with embarrassment, "That was so kdrama-like"

But as San's fingers lingered on Wooyoung's cheek, he found himself unable to tear his gaze away, his thoughts consumed by the weight of the words he needed to say. His fingers fidgeted nervously.

Six of them.

Wooyoung raised an eyebrow, his smirk growing more pronounced as he watched San's nervous gestures. "What's up, hyung?" he asked, his voice laced with amusement.

San took a deep breath, gathering his courage as he finally met Wooyoung's gaze. "Before we go to the grave," he began, his voice soft but resolute, "there's something I need to tell you."

But even as he spoke, San hesitated, his words faltering as he struggled to find the right way to express himself. He knew what he wanted to say, but he knew it wouldn't last anyway.

He glanced down at his hands, fidgeting nervously with the fabric of his shirt, unable to meet Wooyoung's gaze. It was as if he were fighting a battle with himself, torn between the desire to lay his heart bare and the fear of what might happen if he did.

Fuck it.

San took a deep breath and looked up, "Wooyoung," he began, his voice trembling slightly, "I think I-"

"Don't say it"

Oh..

For in that moment, standing beneath the open sky, surrounded by the beauty of the world around them, San knew one thing for certain.

He was in love.

He needed Wooyoung.

As San's confession hung in the air, tension crackling between them, Wooyoung's response was not the words San had expected. Instead, he was met with a beaming smile that lit up Wooyoung's face, his eyes shining with unspoken emotions.

Before San could process the sudden shift in mood, Wooyoung closed the distance between them in one swift motion, crashing his lips onto San's in a sudden, passionate kiss.

Thank god.

It was as if all the pent-up emotions and unspoken desires had finally found an outlet, igniting a firestorm of sensation between them.

For a moment, time seemed to stand still as they melted into each other, the world around them fading into the background as they lost themselves in the sweetness of the moment. San's heart raced in his chest as he surrendered to the kiss, his hands finding their way to Wooyoung's waist, pulling him closer.

His beautiful, small waist.

The kiss was everything San had ever dreamed of. And as they finally pulled away, breathless and smiling, he felt a sense of euphoria wash over him.

Their eyes met, and in that moment, there was no need for words. The unspoken understanding between them spoke volumes, filling the air with a warmth and intensity that left San feeling more alive than ever before.

With a shared smile, they leaned into each other once more, their foreheads touching as they reveled in the moment. It was a perfect moment, a moment that San knew he would cherish for the rest of his life.

"Shall we visit them now?"

"Let's go"

San took Wooyoungs hand into his once more, his heartbeat ringing in his own ears.

He was so nervous.

As San and Wooyoung entered the graveyard, hand in hand, a solemn hush fell over them. They walked past rows of beautifully decorated gravestones, each one a testament to lives once lived and memories cherished.

When they finally reached San's parents' grave, he gently placed the bouquet of flowers onto the gravestones, his heart heavy with emotion. Wooyoung stood beside him, offering silent support as he tenderly patted San's hair, a small gesture of comfort.

But as they turned to leave, Wooyoung's question shattered the tranquility of the moment. "Hyung, where is Yuqi's family's gravestone?" he asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.

San's throat tightened as he swallowed deeply, his heart pounding in his chest. With a heavy heart, he pointed towards a much smaller gravestone nearby, his gaze fixed on the ground as he struggled to find the words to explain.

But before he could speak, he felt a shift in the air, a sudden stillness that sent a chill down his spine. He looked up just in time to see the color drain from Wooyoung's face, his body stiffening as he stared at the gravestone in front of him.

"Hyung..." Wooyoung's voice trembled with fear, his eyes wide with disbelief. San felt a wave of nausea wash over him as he realized what Wooyoung had seen.

Unable to bear the weight of Wooyoung's gaze, San looked away, his heart hammering in his chest. "Wooyoung, I..." he began, his voice barely above a whisper.

But before he could finish his sentence, Wooyoung's voice cut through the silence, filled with desperation and fear. "San, what is this?" he demanded, his words echoing in the stillness of the graveyard.

San's chest tightened with dread as he finally looked up, his eyes meeting Wooyoung's in silent acknowledgment. There was no need for words—the truth was written plain as day on the gravestone in front of them.

And as the reality of the situation sank in, everything seemed to blur into silence, the world around them fading away until there was nothing left but the two of them, standing alone in the quiet stillness of the graveyard.

Sans eyes fixed on the words written on the small stone.
