You hummed along to the music blaring in your ears through your headphones, as you practically skipped down the manhole into the sewer below. Maybe Mikey was down here somewhere? You picked up your phone, clicking on Mikey's contact and tapping your foot as the phone rang. You sighed in frustration as the line went to voicemail.
"Hey, this is Mikey!" your boyfriend's greeting quipped, "Uh, don't know how you got my number, or why you're calling me, but uh, leave a message or... whatever. Booyakasha!"
You giggled a bit at the voice recording, and was about to leave a message when a growl sounded from behind you. You gulped, turning around to see a huge shadow. Other shadows appeared beside it, and suddenly you were on the floor, your phone sliding away to the feet of your oppressors. A knee dug into your back, and you craned your neck up to see a ninja mask staring back at you. The Foot Clan.
Another growl. You whirled your head around to face the hidden enemy once again. A bony and partially furry hand extended toward your phone, picking it up. The mutant stepped fully into your sight, and you gasped.
The guy was definitely a mutant. Narrow yellow eyes glared down at you, and a canine snout snarled. Huge ears jutted from the side of the mutant's head, and it looked like his grey, musty coat was withering away, revealing parts of the dog-like man's skeleton.
The mutant sniffed your phone, then looked at the screen observing the contact. He grinned maliciously... or at least, you thought he grinned. You couldn't really tell with the rotting flesh and all.
"Ah, Michelangelo," the dog muttered into the phone, "I see you've found another human friend. Well, isn't that just peachy. She'll make a nice addition to our host of test subjects. You want your little... girlfriend back? We'll see about that. After all, she's not gonna be all that keen to see you after we're through with her and her little friends."
The skeleton dog hung up, and then crushed your phone with his bony fist. You shrieked in terror, whimpering, "You're not gonna get away with this."
"Watch me," the mutant growled back, signaling for the Foot Ninjas to silence you.
"Put her down for the enhanced speed test," the dog-man growled as you struggled ferociously, before a fist smacked into your temple.
"Mikey..." you groaned, before your head lolled to the side, and you blacked out.
