Aluna POV
After everyone left I sat in the living room looking at Joe who was scanning my facial expression probably wondering what I was thinking.
"Are you going to tell me what is going on between you and Theo?"
"Why does he think you don't love him anymore?"
He asked breaking the silence.
"It's Ryan isn't it?"
"I warned you two to stay away from each other,
Now look what it has caused,"
"Your wedding is at risk and Ryan is going into a match injured because of you.
"How is it my fault Ryan is injured."
I asked with a confused look on my face.
"He was distracted by you."
"You are the whole reason everything is messed up."
"Your wedding is messed up because of you."
"And Ryan may loose his match because off you."For god sake I lost my brother 10 years ago because of you."
"I should off never let you come here,"
"You coming to California just messed everything up,"
Joe said as his words pierced my heart.
Without saying a word to him I got up off the sofa storming out of the house heading down to the beach.
"Aluna I'm sorry I didn't mean it."
He shouted after me but I ignored him walking away.
Joe is right, I have messed up everything I love in my life,
I was the reason my parents died,
And I'm soon going to cause some sort off of problems in Ryan's life sooner or later.
I'm noting but bad luck to everyone I love.
I stopped walking taking a seat on the sand looking at the ocean waves crashing on the shore.
Apparently this is my go to place when im stressed.
As I look at the ocean Ryan kept popping up on my mind.
Last night when we were talking about love it hit me,
From the first day I came to California Ryan have been on my mind, from wanting to kill him for nearly hitting my car too wanting him to kiss me like he did that night when he confessed his feelings for me.
I have to admit he has my heart, I'm in love with him but we can't be together, I'm messed up and I will ruin him just like I did to my parents.
I care about him to much, and I can't bare to see him get hurt because off me.
And thinking about it I don't want to be with Theo anymore, I'm better off by myself.
I headed back to the house seeing my car alone in the garage, Joe probably left for the gym. Which I was happy about because I don't want to face him.
I entered house walking to the kitchen where my purse was opening it taking out my passport.
I took a deep breath heading up the stairs towards my room.
I opened the door letting out a sigh watching Theo who was fast asleep on my bed,
his hair still damp from his shower.
I entered my closet grabbing a suitcase trowing it on the bed startling Theo waking him up from his sleep.
"What the fuck are you doing Aluna?"
Theo ask rubbing his eyes,
I ignored him walking into the closet grabbing a handful off clothes walking back into the bedroom dumping the clothes into the suitcase.
"Why are you packing Aluna?"
"Are we going back home to Paris?"
He asked sitting up.
"Not exactly."
I said breaking my silence.
"Then why are you packing your stuff?"
He asked raising his voice a little.
"Im calling off the engagement we are not getting married,"
I said looking at him dead in the eyes.
"No No wait.
What the fuck are you talking about?
Is it because I brought back that Gabby girl to the house?
"if it is I'm sorry,"
"I just wanted to make you jealous."
"I don't believe that you are sorry Theo,"
"You did that intentionally to make me upset."
"And other than that, your actions the night before was unacceptable."
I said while walking into the closet grabbing a few pairs of shoes coming back trowing it into the suitcase.
"What action the night before?"
He asked looking at me confused.
"When you ripped the necklace Ryan got me off my neck."
I said with annoyance in my voice.
"I just acted that way because I was hurt Aluna,
"From the moment I came you acted with no interest towards me,"
"you weren't even happy to see me."
"For god sake you went even bothered by me going clubbing with your flirtatious best friend last night."
"All you cared about was Ryan being injured,"
"I heard you were with him last night."
"is that true?"
"Are you sleeping with him?"
He asked grabbing the suitcase pulling it away from me.
"No I'm not sleeping with him,"
"And I'm not leaving you because of Ryan."
"I'm leaving you because you are a narcissistic sociopath who has major trust issues."
"Being with you is like walking on eggshells
the past five years with you was hell,"
I was like a puppet, you controlled my life,
"You told where to go, what to wear, who to speak to."
"I was never my true self with you Theo."
I said letting it all out.
"I can change, just don't leave, we can work things out together."
"I promise you when we get married I will be a better man."
Just give me a chance."
he said calming down holding my hand looking at me with pleading eyes.
"I have given you numerous chances before and you never changed Theo."
"I need some space, I need to think."
I said pulling away my hand walking into the bathroom to get the rest off my stuff,
I grabbed a bag trowing all my skincare products and makeup in it.
While packing my stuff I accidentally knocked over Theo's wallet causing it to fall on the floor, he was so drunk that he threw his stuff all over the bathroom.
As I reached down to pick up his wallet my eyes widened as it came across an empty condom packet poking out off his wallet.
body temperature started to rise as I could literally feel my blood boiling in my body.
"You fucking son off a bitch,"
"you are sitting there accusing me off cheating when you are the one doing it,"
I said walking out of the washroom throwing the empty condom pack at him.
"Aluna I can explain,"
He said getting up off the bed tripping over my shoes falling to the floor.
"Just leave me the fuck alone Theo,"
I said while zipping up my luggage storming out the room.
I quickly made my way down stairs looking around for my keys.
For god sake Aluna why can't you remember for once where you put your keys.
I argued with myself but then I remembered that Joe used my car last night the keys must be in his office.
I quickly went into his office grabbing the keys.
"Aluna!"
Theo shouted running down the stairs coming face to face with me as I exited Joe's office.
My eyes widened as he unexpectedly grabbed me pinning me onto the wall.
"You are hurting me Theo let go."
I said looking into his eyes.
"I'm not letting you go,"
"you are never leaving me you hear!"
He shouted placing his hands around my neck squeezing tightly.
"Please!"
I pleaded one more time but he didn't budge,
he continued choking me.
"I'm not letting you go Aluna!"
He shouted with a psychopathic look in his eyes.
"Fine."
I whispered before swinging my left hand hitting him directly in the liver dropping him on the floor.
"What the fuck did you do to me?"
He asked while coughing, realizing he couldn't move.
"My father thought me that, I'm not the type of girl who stands around and let a man abuse her."
"You are lucky I didn't knock you out."
I said taking off my engagement ring trowing it at him before grabbing my suitcase heading out the house to my car.
I let out a deep breath as the sound off Theo shouting my name faded as I closed the car door starting the car speeding off.
