"So, what exactly are we going to do down here?" Neuvillette asked curiously.
"Whatever you want."
"Hmm?"
"You can do as you wish. As long as it's not too... you know... private."
"You mean that as don't do private things in public, or that I can't do them in private either?" He asked teasingly.
"Neuvillette!"
Can you not say that out loud while walking around in Meropide?!
To this, he let out a completely unrestrained laugh.

The next thing I knew he took my hand in his, holding it tightly and-

"Care to take a walk with me, my dear?" He asked.
That tone of voice bordering straight-up seductive...

Neuvillette is charming as is, but if he suddenly starts acting all seductively...

"Can I not what? Didn't you tell me to do as I wish? I'm merely inviting you for a walk."
I know what I said, but I wasn't expecting this!
If this goes on, my reputation in the fortress will go down the drain.

It disappeared the second he kissed the back of my hand.
"Shall we go then?" He smiled.

This is not what I had planned when I said 'Let's have fun in Meropide'!

Now I found my back pushed against the back of the couch as Neuvillette loomed over me.
An ominous premonition filled me.
Alright. Let's try to escape first.

"You said I could do what I want." He interrupted.

"Say, Wriothesley... Are you curious what your husband has been up to in his free during lunch?"

Neuvillette froze, looking at me in silence for a few seconds before he burst out laughing.
"Yes... You would think that wouldn't you? But no. He was reading."

"Romance novels."
Neuvillette reading romance novels?
"The adult kind." He added with a smirk.
My face turned bright red in that same instant, I could bet my life on it.
"Surprisingly enough, there is much to learn even from such things. Shall I demonstrate?"

But I didn't get any as he leaned closer, resting a hand on my tight.
"You're blushing." He commented.

His free hand tugged on my tie.

He leaned closer to whisper into my ear.

He then suddenly pulled away almost completely. Only his hand that rested on my thigh remained.
"Research pays off, my dear Wriothesley. Especially since, unlike my more rational side, I'm more than shameless enough to use it."
Out of nowhere, his whole demeanor changed, turning much, much softer.
He then leaned in once more.
I couldn't get myself to move even just an inch.
"Wriothesley..." He whispered.
This whisper was followed up by a nip on my ear and-
"Wrio... Honey..."
A shiver ran down my spine and of course, he noticed.
"Oh, you like it when I call you that? From what I read, this particular word can be quite sensual."
Sensual?

"Should I use that instead of 'my dear' from now on?"

I wouldn't survive that!
Just as I was able to muster up the strength to protest-

The door flew open before I could even react.

I turned my head to come face to face with a furiously blushing Amalie.

With Neuvillette leaning over me like this, his hand on my thigh, mouth right next to my ear...
"That- I- I'll try to find a way to take care of it." Amalie stuttered.

My words were interrupted by the door falling shut once more.

My words were silenced with a kiss.

I could only reach behind him and pull him deeper into the kiss.
His eyes widened in surprise.

I pulled back in shock, breaking the kiss.
"Ne-Neuvillette?"
Like... The reasonable one...?
My Neuvillette?

For the hundredth time today, my words were interrupted.
Neuvillette's eyes darkened once more and just as I thought I had been mistaken about the personality change...
"Even though I know that he is still me... I cannot help but feel incredibly angry..."
"Hey... Hey... He's still you." I tried.
"Oh, I'm aware, believe me. that is why I have yet to rip anyone or anything to pieces, but..."
I have never seen Neuvillette like this.
That oppressive draconic aura he always held back was now rolling off of him without restraint. I almost felt like I was suffocating.
It should not be possible to cheat on your spouse with themselves, right?

"Neuvillette love-"
"Love... Right, love... I love you far too much to allow anyone else to lay a hand on you, even if it is just another part of me. I left him here to his own devices, that is my fault and it will not happen again. Ever. But Wriothesley..."
For the first time in our relationship, Neuvillette grabbed onto my chin almost violently, turning my face to face his.
"You will not be indulging in such activities with my... other side again." He smiled.
And that smile...
It sent yet another shiver down my spine.

I couldn't help but shift my position slightly. This, however, caused Neuvillette to look down, his eyes following my movements.
He looked down and...
Blushed.
You still dare to play blushing maiden after that?!

"I- I- I was not aware that... I wasn't aware that this could cause you to be-"
"Shut up!" I interrupted him this time.
If he said another word I really might die of embarrassment.
As if Amalie catching us in a compromising position wasn't enough.

While two of Fontaine's finest were left in a... peculiar situation, the culprit was back peacefully inside Neuvillette's mind.
He would have been subjected to Neuvillette's jealous streak and at least a beating, had Wriothesley's... reaction, not diverted the dragon's attention so much that his little revenge was completely forgotten.
"Well, Wriothesley did tell me to do as I wished." He chuckled.
Pity for Wriothesley, he had not known that what the shameless and impulsive side of the dragon he loved wanted most was to tease the poor clueless and innocent side into a jealous fit.
"My, my. How unbecoming of the Iudex of Fontaine to show such bearing." He smirked.
Hmm...
"What a wonderful day. I wonder if he still dares to force me to watch him work so much that he passes out. Would he still dare to let me loose like that?"
Whatever the case...
"It's a win for me either way."
