Arini's pov
I never knew, leaving my house would hurt this much. I was always excited for this day, maybe I dreamed of it only but when it really happened, I busted into tears. And I was still weeping in the car. An arm was never leaving my shoulder. He held me tightly and tried to wipe my face again and again, gave me water to drink time to time whenever my hiccups were coming. It was my husband. Shrey.
What could be better than this?
My makeup was ruined totally by now because I cried a lot.
" Okay, do you want chocolate? " A whisper came from Shrey and I looked at him. He suddenly wiped my wet eyes and asked again, " Khaogi chocolate? Lau kharidke? "
( will you eat chocolate? Should I buy for you?)
How cutely he was attempting to stop my tears! But looking at his cute gesture, my eyes shed more tears. I don't know why everything was making me feel overwhelmed and I was crying since the morning only.
This time Shrey patted my back while saying, " Arini it's okay... I will bring you to your home everyday. Okay? Now please don't cry. Please. " With another hand, he again wiped my eyes.
" Bhabi! You became our bhabi today officially.... Itna nhi rote hai abh " It was Ankit who was driving the car.
( sister in law. You became our sister in law officially today . Don't cry this much)
Just as Ankit said that, he earned a slap on his bicep from Kalpana who was sitting on the passenger seat, " It's the day, every girl cries. You won't understand " She said. She was coming with me to my sasuraal. As I have no sister, Kalpana was coming with me.
" Okay stop the car. " Shrey ordered and I looked at him with questioning eyes but he didn't look at me.
The car stopped and he got down. After a few minutes he came back again and sat beside me. The car started again. I wanted to ask him but he showed me his hands.
" Lo konsa wala khaogi "
( choose which one do you want)
He had so many toffee, chocos for me and asked me to choose one.
" These all are yours. But don't cry again. " He held my cheek and rubbed his fingers there slowly saying, " If you cry so much, it'll make me think like I'm kidnapping you, not marrying you "
His words make me chuckle and I took chocolates from him. I took all of them on my lap. I ate one and started putting the rest of it in my hand bag.
Soon the car stopped in front of his house which was my house now too. I could see everyone dancing on the road because of our arrival. Soon Kalpana and Ankit got down too and started dancing. Madhav was present there. And everyone seemed to be so much happy.
I couldn't understand when my tears stopped and I started giving a soft smile. I shifted my face a little when I felt Shrey's hand in front of my face.
" Drink the whole water. We'll have to perform so many rituals. You'll get tired " He said and I nodded while finishing the bottle.
" And look at your face. Ufff Arini I told you to not cry this much... Dekho apni taraf abh " He said while wiping the tear stains and fixed my hair too. I couldn't help but smiled. My Shrey is so much lovable.
" Naak mein kuch mat karo.. Rehne do sindoor " I told him before he could wipe that vermilion from my nose. When he was filling my forehead with vermilion, it fall on my nose too.
( don't do anything on my nose. Let that vermilion stay)
Everyone said I'll be happy with him after marriage, it's the sign of that. And I didn't want to remove that. I loved looking at my red nose.
" Yaad hai mujhe " He said and reminded me of each times when I told the makeup artists to not remove that vermilion.
( I remember that)
After that we were welcomed in his house or I should say in my new house. We performed some rituals, took blessings from elders and received gifts from everyone. Don't know how many unknown faces I saw today.
But my bhabi and bhai were present there as wall, as bhabi is this Shrey's sister, so she got invitation from both sides.
Then they prepared a bowl filled with milk, turmeric and rose petals. It was game time now. Someone took out Shrey's ring and mixed with that liquid of bowl.
Everyone told both me & Shrey to look for the ring. One of us needed to find the ring first.
We both dipped our hands in the bowl and started moving. It was fun. Very much fun. I kept on moving, as if I wasn't finding, I was just enjoying while doing it.
" Jisko ring pehle milega woh hukum chalayegaa " Someone shouted and everyone started laughing. I also grinned. Ufff... Everything is making me crazily happy. I unknowingly forgot the pain of leaving my home and started enjoying the new phase of life.
( the one who will find the ring first, will rule)
Suddenly I felt like two fingers were tapping on my hand. I looked at Shrey as it was him. I couldn't understand but he was forcing me to hold something. As our hands were inside the bowl no one could see anything. But he was forcing me and made me hold something.
" Areyy kisko ring mila dikhao? " Everyone started to ask. I frowned before taking my hand up. And just as I opened my palm, everyone started shouting.
( show us, who got the ring?)
" Arini wonnnnn... Shrey you lost ittt... "
My mouth parted in 'o' shape and I looked at him. He was smiling looking at everyone. He did it on purpose. He made me win.
" Matlab Shrey, biwi ki hukum manegaaa " They laughed at him more. And I made a small pout. I didn't like how they were teasing him.
( that means shrey listen to his wife)
And the next round started. And following the same way, Shrey again tapped on my hand but I didn't open my fist this time. He kept on trying but I shook my head while whispering to him. " Tum jeeto is baar "
( you win this time)
" No, I want you to win "
" Why? "
" As I want you to rule all over me. " He whispered back making my stomach feeling twists from everywhere.
He forcefully put that ring in my hand and pushed my hand a little. I again took out my hand and with the ring. Everyone shouted more for my win. I smiled shyly too not because of them. Because of Shrey.
Soon those rituals came to an end and we both got relief. We needed rest. Everyone told us to not meet for tonight. Tomorrow we'll have our reception and then.....
........ first night...
I changed my clothes and laid down in the middle of Bhabi & Kalpana. We were sleeping together. Even though I was tired I could not sleep tonight. Because of my happiness... Finally our story is complete. That unexpected meet with him in boy's locker, that hard liking, that loving feelings and everything led us to be a married couple!
I had to no words to describe my excitement.
The excitement of spending my whole life with him. With my Shrey. I palmed my face and giggled so hard. Both bhabi & Kalpana were sleeping beside me, but sleep was out of my sight. Only Shrey's was the only thing I could imagine.
I shifted my position and laid on my chest. I quickly opened my phone to go through the gallery. Our wedding pictures were everywhere and I was smiling while looking at happy us.
Bada bolta tha na pyaar nhi karunga, shaadi nhi karunga.. Abh dekho. Bada aya I was speaking rubbish for sure as my happiness broke all the boundaries.
( he used to say he won't love me, won't marry me, now see..)
Suddenly a message came. The id was his.
" I can't sleep "
~ Shrey
I bite my tongue thinking how both of us are having the same excitement!
" Same "
~ me
" Then let's meet? "
~ Shrey
" Pagal ho? Nah nah bilkul nahi "
( are you mad? No no never )
~ me
" Hogaya shaadi ke baad pati ke liye pyaar khatam? "
( okay, so the love for husband is finished after marriage?)
~Shrey
" Pati ko pyaar karna chahiye abh toh"
( husband should love now)

"Toh bahar toh ayo dikha dete hai pyaar "
( then come out now, I'll show you my love)

I was not only smiling this time but remembered that tomorrow will be the first night. I don't know how things will be. In these years, I never ever imagined of anything like that.
I couldn't answer anything to him anymore and closed the phone. I closed my eyes as well thinking of sleeping this time. But my phone rang. I decreased the volume hurriedly even before looking at the caller id. I didn't want bhabi Or kalpana to wake up.
I took the call, it was Shrey.
" Hello? What happened? "
" Why are you whispering? "
" Because sab so rahe. "
( because everyone is sleeping)
" Arini let's meet. I'm standing outside of the room. Just come out "
I winded my eyes and looked at the door. Was he really there? " Are you serious? " I asked and imagined him nodding. " When wasn't I? "
" Shrey everyone told us to not meet tonight. "
" Aur itne saal se main jo kehta tha thik se padhai karo.. Tabh toh kabhi suna nhi mera? Aj bada sabki baatein sun rahi " I couldn't help but chuckled when those words hit my ears. Cute! Shrey was being cute.
( and all these years when I told you to study, you never listened to me. Now you're listening to me alot)
" Okay I'll come but we won't look at each other, okay? "
" Thik hai. Bas ayo ayo "
( okay okay just come out)
I looked at bhabi and kalpana before standing up. They were sleeping and I prayed for them to not wake up. I was wearing a light pink coloured saree. I managed to hide my face with a veil and opened the door without making any loud voice.
As the veil was really long, I could see his figure, not face. I slowly went out and closed the door again. " Agayi bahar. Bolo abh "
( I'm here. Tell me now)
" Let's go " Holding my hand, he started to drag me. " But where? "
" Terrace "
My feet stopped suddenly. " It's easy to be seen if we go there. "
" You became too much scared after marriage. Where is that bold Arini who was enough brave to shout about her love for me? "
I pouted when he said and held his hand tightly. " Thik hai. Chalo. Dikhati hu main tumko kitni bold hu" 😾 mujhe challenge karta hai. Huh
( ok. Let's go. Let me show you how much bold I am! He's challenging me😾)
That's that. I started walking with him, making our way to the terrace. Soon we both managed to sit there together. It was dark but where we were sitting otherwise the whole place was full with lights as it's a wedding house.
The veil was still there over my face. Suddenly lowering his face, shrey tried to look at me and I held the dupatta closer to my face so that he doesn't see me.
" Is it so important to keep? " He said touching my veil.
Shaking my head I replied, " Very important. I don't want anything wrong to happen. When we were attending all those rules, this should go okay too " I declared and heard his audible sigh.
" Okay then keep it like that. " He said and I nodded. " Aj tumne us game mein jitaya kyun? " I asked. He gave me a reason but I still wanted to know.
( why did you make me win in that game today? )
I heard him chuckling before saying, " They were saying the one who wins, will rule over the other one. And seriously I don't want to rule on you. I thought you'd win but... " Sighing dramatically he added, "my wife couldn't win sadly so I had to do that "
I narrowed my eyes, " Yeh tareef thi ya bezzati "
( was it my insult?)
" The way you want to take it. I found the ring and you took that out of the bowl, that means we both will rule over each other. I want that. "
I smiled for some unknown reasons.
" Arini I have something for you " He added making me question , " What? "
I was sitting and could see my feet. My knees were touching my chest and I was hugging them as well. Suddenly my sight found his hand near my feet. I winded my eyes. Is he somehow trying to watch me? What? Why? I told him I can't see each other. I held my veil closer to my face again so that he cannot see my face anyhow.
Before I could utter anything I felt his touch on my left foot. He touched my toe. I shivered sitting there. But that wasn't enough for tonight. Soon I felt him moving my saree a little upward. What is he upto?
" Shrey you" Came my shivering voice but that was cut by his little sush. "Shhh don't speak"
I blinked and dared not to look. Soon I felt him removing my anklet which was given by him only. Ever since he has gifted me that, I never removed that. " What are you doing? " I asked and he again shushed me.
" But why? "
This time no answer came.
Then I felt something cold touching to my leg. Parting the veil a little, I found him wrapping a beautiful payal there. This anklet was different than the previous one, it was bigger and more beautiful ! " Thank you Shrey " I couldn't stop myself from saying that and had to close my eyes when his lips touched my right feet. He kissed me there and i took my feet back suddenly.
" Ye... Yeh kya kar rhe "
( what are you doing?)
" Welcome to a new phase of our life Arini "
It almost brought tears to my eyes. All sudden every single memories that I shared with Shrey, flashed in my mind. The boy whom I used to stare at, whom I used to love without even knowing about love, whom I used to chase, finally now he is mine and I am his.
I started crying effortlessly and couldn't understand when a loud sob left from my mouth. I palmed my mouth, knowing that Shrey has heard me.
" You are crying. Arini? Remove the veil " He spoke in his manly voice.
I wiped my tears and shook my head. " N.. No.. I won't cry anymore " But my voice betrayed when I cried again.
" Arini... " He pulled my body towards him. And I could feel my head hitting on his chest. I buried my face there still being in the veil and he hugged my body tightly.
" Shrey... I'm so happy you.... know... Maine socha nahi tha ki hum sach mein shaadi karenge "
( I thought we cannot marry)
" Aww meri bacchi " ( awww my baby) The hug grew tighter and he kissed my head over the veil. " Arini.. Your heartbeats are so loud. What happened? are you nervous? " He asked while rubbing my back. And I shook my head as more tears fall down.
" I... I am.. I don't know. I am feeling more than I can understand. "
I felt his hands on my cheeks after that. I shockingly opened my eyes to see if the veil was still there or not. And it was there, perfectly hiding my face from him.
Slowly Shrey's fingers wiped my tears. " Ufff kitna royi ho tum Arini. No romantic stuffs if you keep on crying "
( ufff.. You cried alot)
He stated making me chuckle and I heard him sighing in peace. " Finally you smiled "
Now it made me smile more. And I wanted to look at face too now. I was the one who wanted to maintain the rule but now I was becoming the one who wanted to break it.
But I closed my eyes when he pulled my veil up. I shut my eyes tightly, not letting myself see a little bit view of his face. " Don't worry
... My eyes are closed. I am not breaking the rule. Okay? " He laughed while saying that and managed to make me giggle as well.
My placed my palm over my chest and felt the rapid speed of my heartbeat. I rubbed there, trying to make it normal. And soon my hands felt the touch of his hand. He wrapped our hands together. Smiling more, I pushed myself closer to him.
And the next touch I felt was, on my lips. The touch of his lips. As it was unexpected, I shivered there. He moved his lips there slowly, awakening the soul inside of my body. And I too gave in. When I started moving my lips in the synch, I found being in my home. I hugged him, sneaking hands around his neck and he held me closer from my waist.
The kiss went on slowly, passionately in the dark but lightening our souls. It was kind, gentle, pure as if it was fixing our wounds. Once again I realised how much I love him, and how much I'm being loved by him.
Our journey completes like this, we found the love we needed.
Then he pulled back. And I quickly hide my face in the crook of his neck. We were breathing heavily and I had a small smile on my lips. I felt ticklish when his breaths fanned my back. I was already so much close to him but he seemed to pull me closer
" I love you Arini. I love you alot. I really do" He said while catching breaths and I felt like to hide my face more.
" I.. I love you m... more "
" But I will love you more. I will show you my affection, care, love and everything. I will treat you like my queen "
I bite my lips when he said " I am excited to start our new journey "
" So I am"
" I am always here for you. Always. Always to love you more more and more "
