I sat in my chair with a smirk on my face "I don't believe you, prove it."
Lance sighed "You kids always say that. OK here's what I'm going to do, i'm going to mess with your vision, don't panic." Lance squinted slightly at me and then my world went black, and I couldn't see anything, then it appeared as quickly as it left. "What the heck?" Instead of seeing the room I was in, I saw I was in a candy cane forest and sitting in the chairs in front of me where two unicorns. "Holy crap, this is so wierd, and so girly. Cut it out man." The two unicorns started laughing and then the world started twisting around and went black again, then my vision returned and I was again sitting in the room with the monitor.
"Never do that again, ever." I looked over at Kell. "What can you do?" Kell didn't even give me a chance, because before I even noticed Kell put his hand twords me, I was trapped in a giant squishy pink bubble. The bubble floated up to the ceiling, then came back down, when the bubble hit the floor it turned into a giant metal ball. The ball then turned into glass then disappeared. I got up went over to my chair and sat back down. "So" Kell said "If you don't understand what I can do, I can make force fields around people, and make them change at will." I felt dizzy, it was all so much to take in, also the whole unicorn thing followed by the ride in a giant ball was kind of trippy.
"Anything else you guys didn't tell me?" I said with an air of sarcasm, because after what they told me I highly doubted anything could top super powers. "Yes" said Lance "everything on this ship is really high tech. You probably noticed the doors and how close together they are. The reason behind that is because the rooms are a lot bigger on the inside than out. I could tell you how that works, but you would have to sit here a while." "I'll pass" I said. Kell got back into the conversation "On to the business part, you will have to live here from now on, and all memories anyone had of you, and all records you were ever born have been destroyed." "I'm OK with that" I said "I was never close to my parents, and I won't miss anything from school, I tended to be a loner." "That makes stuff easier for us then" said Lance. "We would like to put you on a training schedule, so you can harness your power." Then an obvious question popped into my head. "Do you guys have any idea what my power is?" "Your power is most likely controlling the element of fire" Kell said. " Well that would at least make sense" I said.
Kell and Lance gave me a piece of paper showing the schedule I was to follow, a high tech watch, and a instruction manual for the watch.
"Your room is number 213." Lance instructed "Go to your room and do what your schedule tells you to. We might have something to tell you later so if we do be prepared for that." "OK bye" said Kell. My chair floated back up with me on it and went back to its rightful place on the wall, I got up and walked out
When I walked back into the hall I noticed that there were words, numbers, and sometimes both above the doors. I decided to walk back twords the way I came from, I stoped in front of the Door I woke up in and read the word above it. Hospital E. Across from the Door was a room that read, rooms 1- 20. To the left of that door was another that said, rooms 21- 40. Understanding the pattern that was happening I walked along the hall untill I came to a door that read, rooms 201- 220. I entered this door and saw it was a hallway. All the doors in this place we're actually steel sheets that slid to the left when you pressed the button next to it. There were ten doors on the left side of the hall that were rooms 201 to 210 on the right it was 211 to 220. I walked to the third door on the right side and instead of a button to let me in there was a hand scanner. I put my hand on it and it flashed green and the door slid open.
I walked into the room and found the light switch, the room was pretty big. There was a king size bed in the far right corner, in the far left corner was a desk with a computer on it and a hover chair, a t.v in the corner directly to my right at the foot of the bed, and for the corner directly to my left there were two doors next to each other. I went to the desk and put my schedule, watch, and manual on it. I went to where the two doors were and knocked on both of them to see if one of them led to my neighbor. I got no reply. I opened of both doors, one was a bathroom with a big sink, stand up shower, and a jacuzzi. The other door was a massive closet it had all different types of clothes you could imagine, even costumes, and even a real spacesuit. "Lance was right" I thought "This place really does defy physics."
I closed the doors and went over to the desk and picked up my watch and put it on. The watch instantly set itself to 8:45 pm, I looked at my schedule and it showed that I had training at 9:00 am. I decided to read the manual to see what I would learn, I opened the cover to the table of contents. I saw that the manual was much more than how to use my watch , although that was shown as a big section, most importantly it showed how to use the panel on the wall. I read the manual on the panels untill I was tired, then I read a small portion of how to set my watch alarm and went to bed.

I woke up to the sound of my very irritating alarm and I turned it off. I went to my closet, picked something that looked good and took my shower. When I was all done I checked my watch and saw I had fifteen minutes to get to where I needed to be. I grabbed my schedule and looked back at the first thing on the list, it showed I needed to go to the lava room. Confused about where I needed to go, I went to the panel on the wall and typed in my location and then the location I needed to go. A piece of paper printed out below the panel, it was a map. I followed the maps directions untill I was outside the room. I checked my watch, I was still five minutes early. I breathed in and out to control my nerves and opened the door.
I entered the room and there were pits of lava all around a path that led to a big circle, there where volcanoes and lava everywhere. I saw a man in the center of the circle and figured he would be my instructor. I walked down the path untill I reached the edge of the circle. The man addressed me like a drill sargent would "Good morning Nick, I will be your instructor, do you copy?" "Uh, sir yes sir" I stammered. The man continued "You should know my name is Phil, but you will call me sargent." "Yes sargent" I said. "OK" Phil said, instantly becoming nicer. "I chose this location for training because I was told your power is controlling fire. So here is what I want you to do, I want you to sit down and start doing controlled breathing, I want you to try to harness your inner heat. Then I want you to try to make fire."
Doing what I was told I sat down and closed my eyes. I could feel the lava pits and small lava rivers around me. I started to focus on my breathing, in, out, in. I reached deep within myself and felt the heat. I started trying to take that heat and put it out, I felt the heat moving from my core and twords my arms. I put both my arms out, palms up, as I felt the heat move through my wrists and into my hands. I focused on trying to put some heat out. I opened my eyes and saw a steady line of smoke coming out of my hand. I tried to turn it into a flame, then I lost it. I could feel the heat seeping back into my core and it settled there.
Phil walked over from the other side of the circle and looked down at me. "That was a pretty good first attempt" he said. "I still want you to try again." He turned back around and went to the other side of the circle. 3 more attempts later and all I managed to get was more smoke. Phil called from the other side of the circle "This will be your last attempt today!" I refocused my attention on trying to make a fire, focused as hard as I could. Instead of smoke I managed to make a bunch of sparks come shooting out of my hands, like I was holding a sparkler. The sparks were a step closer to making fire so I concentrated on turning them into fire.
The sparks only increased in amount ant started shooting higher so I decided to call it quits. The sparks died down and and the heat receded. Phil told me training is over for today and I should do what was next on my schedule. I got my schedule out of my pocket and noticed I had nothing else to do that day, so I went back to my room. As I entered my room the panel on the wall spoke. "You have one new voicemail." Beep. "Hey Nick this is Lance, since your day is all free time I was hoping you could come down to the stadium. The stadium is really cool, I hope you can check it out after your training, bye." Beep.
"Hm" I sighed. I typed my location and destination on the panel and received another map. The stadium thing sounded interesting. I looked at the map, the stadium was on the other side of the ship. Then my stomach growled. I got another map to see where the cafeteria was, I needed to eat before I did anything.

After I ate I went down to the stadium, like the door that led into the control room the door was big and arched, except this door was made of wood and you pushed it open. The door was probably more like a small gate, there were glyphs of spartans carved into the arch. I pushed the door open and I was at the top of a big set of stairs that led down through fifteen rows of seats. The seats formed a massive circle around an area and the only thing separating the seats to the arena was a glass pane. The arena was made out of sand with a water moat around the edges. Over all it looked like the Roman Coliseum. There were about 300 people in the stadium, barely doing justice to its size. I saw Lance and Kell waving me over to where they were sitting and I went over and sat down. "Glad you could make it" said Kell. "Why are there so little people here?" I asked "What do you mean?" Asked Lance " This is almost the entire ship." What is this place for?" I asked "This place is where our students hone their skills when they're done training. It's how they improve and keep at peak condition." Answered Kell.
Two people walked out from opposite sides of the area to the crowds cheers and applause. A boy walked out from the left and a girl walked out from the right. They both stoped in the middle, shook hands and walked bake to the edge of a big painted circle in the arena. Than above the rows of seating a announcer boomed. "LET THE MATCH BEEEGIIIIIIN!!!"
