I rewatch the video of Asahi fucking some girl.
Over and Over.
I don't even know who sent it to me, but I know now why he is acting the way he is acting.
Romeo walks into my room. "Are you going sit in here and drown in your self pity?"
"What do you want?" I turn my phone off.
"My sister back. You're like a corpse. Even I wasn't this bad after Delilah left and I was actually in a relationship with her."
"You're a dick." Alessio walks past him. "Mom, Romeo is bothering Ilaria again."
"I'm not bothering her." Romeo shouts. "Come on. Let's go feed the ducks or some shit."
I do need to get up out of bed.
I get up, able to walk properly. It's been nearly three weeks now.
He waits outside the bathroom while I shower and change, and then ties my hair up for me because my wrist limits that.
I walk down the stairs and mom smiles fondly, but warns Romeo before letting us go out to the yard.
"What have you been watching on your phone?" He asks.
"Somebody sent me a video."
"Of?"
"Of Asahi fucking some girl in my closet."
He looks at me. "Can I see it?"
I hand him my phone and he looks at it. "That's Yuki."
"Who is Yuki?"
"She's a new stripper at the club."
I scoff.
Shouldn't have let him go to the strip club.
"Wanna go for a drive?"
"To where?"
"Well, when I went to kill somebody yesterday, I seen Yuki tied up in the basement." He stands up. "So, Matteo knows something."
I hold my hand out and he helps me up.
He tells mom we're going to get food and then we drive to the warehouse.
There was more cars out here than usual.
I get out, following Romeo.
As we're walking down the stairs. I hear his voice.
Romeo turns to look at me. "Hey." He smile. "Show him you're doing good without him."
"I'm not."
"He doesn't know that. Put on your brave face, talk back to him. Won't even try and stop you if you kick his balls." He winks.
I take a deep breath, continuing to follow him.
His father was here, as well as an unfamiliar man.
"You're not supposed to be here." I hear Matteo say. "Neither of you. Oh God."
"Ilaria." Asahi says.
I don't look at him.
"So we put two and two together." Romeo kicks Yuki's leg gently. "Asahi, she is ugly as fuck, that is insulting."
"Ilaria, can we talk?" Asahi asks.
"You can't kill her." Matteo says.
"Like hell I can't." Romeo takes his gun from his holster.
"No. You really can't. Asahi's sister has gone missing and she's the only one that knows."
I look up at Asahi.
He looks rough.
I wish that didn't hurt me.
"Matteo, you weren't supposed to tell them." He sighs.
"Well it was either that or she gets a bullet in her head." He looks at Yuki.
Didn't stop Romeo though, he puts a bullet in her head and stomach.
I jump back.
The explosion has left me struggling with loud noises.
"Are you fucking crazy?" Asahi looks at Romeo.
"What? You hurt my sisters feelings. I don't give a fuck if your sister dies." Romeo replies.
I look at that girls lifeless body now.
I am too tired for this.
Romeo and Asahi start arguing and Hamada walks over. "Romeo, we need your help."
"Reign, we have company!" Someone shouts from upstairs.
I pick up someone's gun from the table, but there was no need.
Because Arturo walked down the stairs.
Him and the other guy glare at each other before Arturo walks in.
"Cousin." Arturo says to the man. "How are you, Ace?"
"About to beat your ass like I beat your fathers, Arturo." Ace replies. "Where's Akahana?"
"Who's Akahana?" He looks around.
"My sister." Asahi stands taller than Arturo. "I'll kill you now, where is she?"
"Your sister has no significance to me, Asahi. I didn't even know you had one." Arturo frowns, then looks at me. "How are you? I heard about what happened."
"I'm good." I clear my throat. "If you have his sister, return her."
"I don't have his sister, Ilaria."
"Why was she seen outside of your warehouse then?" Ace asks.
"I don't know. Maybe she's one of the guys whores." He tuts.
Asahi swings his fist over Arturo's face and I saw that coming.
They break out in a fist fight, and nobody stops them.
Romeo laughs, actually.
It wasn't until Matteo stood between them, threatening them both that they stopped.
"Arturo. Don't make me call your dad." Ace threatens.
"You're a pig, Ace. You have no authority over any of us, let alone papa. Not when you decided to join that pigs team." He nods his head to Hamada.
"And yet somehow your papa still prefers me over you." Ace takes his phone out of his pocket. "Let's head to Chicago and see what's gunning for you, Arturo."
Arturo stays silent.
"What are you doing here?" Matteo asks him.
"Well I figured since the fed was out of the picture I could do my duty and marry your sister. But instead I get false accusations thrown my way."
I put the gun back on the table. "Goodbye." I announce, walking away.
Asahi and Arturo both call my name.
I keep walking, jumping when I hear two gunshots go off but I make my way to the top of the stairs.
Asahi pulls me into one of the offices. "Ilaria."
"Did you just shoot Arturo?"
"Only in the leg." He locks the door. "Let me explain."
"I don't want to hear it."
"No. Let me explain."
"Explain what?" I raise my vices. "How you didn't come and visit me while i was in the hospital? Visit me after the hospital? Ask if I was okay. If I was healing. Tell me how you were feeling instead of ghosting me? Then fucking some stripper in my damn closet?" I hit his chest, my wrist stinging, but I keep hitting him and he lets me for a while.
He holds my arms gently. "You're gonna hurt yourself."
"I hate you."
"I know princess."
"I hate you so much. I never want to see you again, ever again."
I see him flinch at that.
He nods his head, letting go of me. "I'll speak to you some other time, yeah? Stay safe for me."
I shake my head, walking out of the office and just waiting in Romeo's car.
Romeo joins me nearly an hour later.
"Arrange the marriage for Arturo." I rest my head against the window.
He looks at me. "Seriously?"
"Yeah. Small wedding."
"Okay."
