A groaning escaped the girl's mouth as she opened her eyes, finding herself lying in a hospital bed. She looked confused at her surroundings, noticing her wrist was plugged to a heartbeat monitor.
Sana winced as she directly looked into the eyes of the boy sitting on the small chair next to her bed. It was her brother. Park Jiho.
Her brother she hasn't seen for a while now.
"How are you feeling?"
Jiho asked, standing up to pat his younger sister's head. Her hair was wet through all the the sweat she had on her forehead before.
"My chest hurts. But i'm okay"
Sana replied weak, trying to smile at the boy although her head was buzzing.
"I'm glad to hear although I know you're not okay"
Jiho chuckled at Sana, feeling her forehead which was pretty warm.
"What happened? How did I come here?"
Sana wanted to know, not knowing why she suddenly woke up in the hospital a few minutes ago. She remembered feeling dizzy in her room, after that her vision was black.
"You fainted in your apartment. A guy called Sim Jaeyun brought you here on time.
But he had to leave since only relatives are allowed to stay here currently. So they called me"
Sana's eyes widened as she heard the name of the boy. Jake.
She remembered working on the project with him but her heart hurted so bad, she passed out.
"Do you know the guy?" She opened suprised her eyes as she heard Jiho asking.
"Oh uhm yes I do. We met up before in my apartment since we are in a class togetehr and need to build a model" Sana explained, changing her sitting position.
"Oh okay"
"Have you heard anything of him?" Sana asked curiously. She wanted to let him knoe she was okay. Probably she should tell him about her illness. Jake probably wanted to know why she passed out a few hours before.
"No. I'm sorry" Sana's smile faded slowly away by her brother's response.
She hoped to be at least told if he called or something. If he would have called, they would probably have told her brother, but they didn't.
Sana winced by the cracking of the door being opened by Doctor Chim.
The doc who took care of her since she was born.
"Oh, you're awake Mr. Park" He widened his eyes in surprise as he saw the girl lying in her bed with eyes open. She looked pale and still pretty sweaty.
"So, when you're awake, I take the chance to explain your current condition, Ms. and Mr. Park.
You haven't been here in a while although a checkup wouldn't have been unnecessary.
Ms. Park, I'm sorry but your heart is getting worse instead of better.
This time it was much pressure on your heart which caused your body not being able to continue working so you passed out. After we did another checkup tomorrow morning, you can go home again.
But we need you to come back in 3 weeks for an update checkup. It's pretty important, for you and your health"
The doctor explained while prove his explanation with pictures on the monitors right behind him. He looked in the girl's eyes, trying to convey his request to her.
"I know, I should come more often to a checkup. I'm just pretty sacred about the results honestly. It was always my problem. Dealing with the results of these tests.
I feel my heart hurting everyday, and I take my medication" Sana replied to the doctor.
She knew she wouldn't have much time left. She would die soon, she knew.
Doctor Chim nodded to the girl he took care of for more than 20 years now.
He knew she'd do anything to help the people she cared about, although her health would suffer from it eventually.
"Is there any way to treat this illness?" Jiho asked hopefully, he always felt guilty for his younger sister. He was only able to visit her a few times.
If he could, he would give her his own heart. If only he could.
"There's a way. But it would be extremely difficult. There's a doctor at our hospital who does surgerys for heart diseases. It's a extremely complex and difficult surgery.
The risk that Ms. Park won't wake up is not even that small honestly.
We could talk about that on an extra meeting i would suggest. I have a lot of patients currently so I have to move on to the next patient, I'm sorry.
For you Ms. Park, when you return back home, Skip your class for about three days and relax yourself. Call me if you need anything"
Doctor Chim said before leaving the two siblings in the room.
"Will you promise me to meet up with him to talk about the surgery?"
Jiho suddenly asked, catching Sana's attention instantly.
Her brother knew she wouldn't do the surgery on her own. She'd think it was unnecessary for her.
"Yeah, of course" Sana nodded in response.
Honestly she didn't ever think about being healed with any surgery.
Surely she would at least think about it for some days although she knew she wouldn't do it eventually.
She got used to the fact that she would die soon, but a surgery? Would that change something?
Probably she wouldn't even wake up. At least she thought about it the whole night.

Jake was sitting on his seat. Last row in Mr. Choi's class.
His messages weren't even delievered to Sana's phone. He looked sadly at the floor, having no energy to pay attention to the teacher.
The whole time he was worrying. Worrying about a girl called Park Sana.
Even at the lunch table Jake was completely quiet. Just like the night before, Heeseung and Ni-ki already noticed his weird behaviour.
"Jake, what's up? You're pretty quiet since you came home yesterday"
Heeseung tried to speak with the boy, receiving a brow raise from Jake sitting across him and Ni-ki. "Oh, nothing. I'm just tired"
"Yeah of course you're tired. But you're always tired and you talk the whole day through although" Ni-ki joined their conversation, shwoing his worries about the boy.
"Uh okay. Yesterday. Sana and I met up at her place to work on the project"
Jake started, earning some curious nods from Heeseung and Ni-ki.
"Anyways. After a while I found her unconscious in her room. I brought her straight to the hospital but they sent me away since only relatives were allowed to stay.
My messages weren't even delivered to her"
Jake explained, earning some shocked faces from his friends.
"What? She was unconscious?" Ni-ki widened his eyes as he heard this from Jake.
He earned a sad nod from him. You could see Jake suffer from it, as well as Sana.
"But did you notice her feeling unwell or something before?" Heeseung asked curiously, trying to help his friend.
"Yeah, there was something a few minutes before. She seemed like something hurted and she was soaked in sweat. I just hope I could see her soon again"
Just in time with finishing his sentence, his body winced by the vibrating of his phone in his pocket. He didn't check it since hours now.
He saw a few notification popping up at his lock screen.
And a message which instantly catched his attention.

Jake widened his eyes in surprise, instantly agreeing to the girl's suggestion.
Everything will be okay.
Sana will be okay, he will be okay.
