[Rui POV]
I currently lied on my bed, with (Y/N) cuddling my body. How we both ended up in this situation is a long story. Yet, I didn't mind being this close to her. Her sleeping face was just so beautiful~.
I held her closely to my chest as she slept soundly. I couldn't sleep, this was like a dream come true for me. Lying next to her, I recalled the events that led up to this moment...
Flashback:
[3rd POV]
The Kamishiro's were happily preparing their dinner. Their son Rui was cooped up in his bedroom, fixing a small robot on his table. (Y/N's) situation never once left his mind. He wanted to do something for her, but he can't quite find a suitable way to help her.
There was a sudden knock on the Kamishiro's front door. Mrs and Mr Kamishiro were both surprised, they weren't expecting visitors, especially quite at a late time. "Rui dear, could you answer the door?" His mother yelled from within the kitchen, still preparing dinner.
Getting up from his desk, Rui made his way to the front door. Opening it, he came face to face with an out of breath (Y/N). "Rui...! Could I stay at your place for tonight...?!" Immediately, Rui helped the (H/C) haired girl to the living room.
Mrs Kamishiro wiped her hands with a towel before making her way over to the living space. "Who was that Rui-" Her eyes widened as she noticed the (H/C) haired girl sitting on her couch. "Is that you (Y/N)?!"
Before the girl could reply, Rui's mother pulled her into a tight hug. "It's been so long since I've last seen you! You're so grown up and beautiful!" (Y/N) couldn't help but break into laughter as she hugged Rui's mother back.
While Mrs. Kamishiro and (Y/N) caught up, her husband finished making dinner. With the help of (Y/N) and Rui, they helped set the table, making sure to add another plate for their new guest.
"Sit now (Y/N), I'll serve you some of my delicious curry! Now eat up, and don't be shy about giving me an honest review!" Rui sat down next to (Y/N), with his parents sitting across from them.
They all ate in awkward silence, with Mrs. Kamishiro attempting to make small talk. When Rui noticed his mother wasn't eating, he was quick to point it out. His mother smiled in delight before responding, "Well, I had dinner with (Y/N's) mother, and a few others as well! Very fancy place!"
She looked over at (Y/N), who seemed to be connecting the dots. She realized that when her mother said about 'going out with old friends' she hadn't expected it to be Rui's mother.
At one point during the dinner, Mrs. Kamishiro has pulled a bowl of salad. She placed a scoopful amount into each of their plates.
"By the way (Y/N), why did you suddenly drop by?" Rui's mother asked as she sat back down next to her husband.
While (Y/N) thought of what lie she would tell, Rui took it as an opportunity to slide his portion of salad onto her plate, with his signature smile plastered on his face. When (Y/N) snapped out of her thoughts, she sent Rui a look that meant, 'Are you serious?'
"My parents aren't home due to a last minute circumstance. I left my house key inside my room, so I need a place to stay for the night. Again, thank you for letting me into your home." The Kamishiro's smiled as they continued to tell (Y/N) that her visit was no trouble at all.
On the other hand, Rui saw right through this lie, mostly because he knew about the situation she's in. So while (Y/N) ate Rui's salad portion, he had excused himself from the table and gone to his room.
Although Rui hated cleaning, he had to hide the dress he totally didn't steal from its owner, which so happened to be in the same house as him. He also had her showtime outfit that he hasn't officially given to (Y/N). He began to shove things underneath his bed, which was also covered with mechanical parts on it.
Getting the important stuff out of the way, which meant hiding two dresses and a few pictures, Rui gave up on trying to clean his rather dusty room. At that moment, (Y/N) entered Rui's room with a blanket and pillow.
"Your mom mentioned that the guest room was being occupied by boxes, so she agreed on letting me sleep here." The (H/C) haired girl placed her bag, along with her bed covers on the ground. She picked up a few things from Rui's bedroom floor and placed them in its respective areas.
Noticing the effort to help clean up, Rui attempted to make his bedroom a bit cleaner.

Once they finished, Rui lied down on his now clean bed, while (Y/N) took a seat on the ground. "You can sit on my bed you know." Rui patted the side of his bed. (Y/N) did just that.
They sat in awkward silence. Eventually Rui decided to voice his concerns for his 'lover'. "I suspect you being here is your father's doing?" He recalled how he had spoke to her about how she could always show up to his house in case things became too complicated.
Said (H/C) haired girl nodded before speaking her mind. "Yeah...he didn't care about anything I said. Trying to work things out with him is far too much for me to handle right now...So I wanted to be away from my house, which is when I remembered what you said to me." Even though it was a topic she didn't feel like talking about, (Y/N) smiled through her worries.
Right now, all the girl could think about was just getting some shut eye and worrying about her problems another day.
She was pulled into one of Rui's warming embraces. Whenever she found herself in this position, she couldn't help but smile. These types of hugs brought her comfort, yet she couldn't quite figure out why. Maybe it was because Rui was a close friend?
They hugged each other for a while. It was silent, but it wasn't an awkward silence, more like a comforting one.
Pulling away, Rui looked at the blanket and pillow on the ground. "If you want, I can sleep on the floor." (Y/N) immediately shook her head. "No! I'll stay on the ground, I'm already intruding here, so might as well do this."
"I don't mind having you sleep on my bed."
"No need! I-I'll sleep on the floor!"
"It'll make me so sad to see you sleep on the ground, so just take the bed." Rui put a hand over his chest, acting like his heart had just been broken.
(Y/N) could only deadpan at this rather childish behavior.
After a while of arguing, Rui and (Y/N) ended up sleeping on different sides of the bed. (Y/N) slept in one of Rui's white shirts and black shorts on. She couldn't help but blush the entire time.
To tease her a bit, Rui hugged (Y/N) from behind, breathing into her neck. "RUI?! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" The (H/C) haired girl, face now fully red, panicked as her heart raced. She was still not aware of what these feelings meant, but it was sure embarrassing, at least to her.
Getting his desired reaction, Rui placed a kiss on her neck before pretending to fall asleep. When (Y/N) turned around, trapped in Rui's arms, she gave him a slight flick to his forehead. She was embarrassed, but she couldn't help but somewhat smile.
Hugging Rui's body back, (Y/N) let the warmth take hold as she too fell fast asleep.

[Rui POV]
Can't say I blame her for hitting me after pulling my stunt, but her reaction was cute~. I felt her breath near my chest as she continued to sleep soundly.
I had received a text from Nene, who was up playing video games on a school night, mention that she'd noticed (Y/N) enter my house. Being the considering person I was, I told her about (Y/N's) family issues to Nene, who quickly understood and said no more.
If I can be this close to her already, then getting her to break up with Tsukasa should be a piece of cake~. 'Just wait my dear (Y/N), one day you'll realize just how much you love me~.'

[Y/N POV]
It was morning, a Monday morning, and I was still trapped in Rui's arms. He slept quite comfortably, I didn't even realize we were cuddling.
'He looks kinda cute like this....WAIT WHAT AM I THINKING?!' Nope! Rui's just a friend, yep! A friend! Nothing else! I attempted to move away from Rui's grasp, but instead ended up waking him up.
"Good morning (Y/N)-Chan~. You slept well?" His voice was groggy and he was still half asleep. He placed his hand on my face while smiling. I couldn't help but smile back as a blush rose on my cheeks.
"I slept alright..." That was a lie, but I refused to admit that this was my best sleep ever. Rui chuckled before sitting up. He looked over at the clock before smiling. "Seems we overslept, it's already 10:30."
Usually, I would be panicking over being late, but I was kinda glad this time. I need a break, and what a better way than spending it with a friend.
Getting up from the bed, I made my way towards Rui's bathroom. I planned on staying with Rui for a while until my parents eventually picked me up.
The bathroom was small but rather clean. It consisted of white and a sky blue pallet. Looking within my bag to see if I brought a change of clothes, I realized that I did not.
'Well shit...what do I do now?'
There was a sudden knock on the door. When I opened it, there was a pair of Rui's casual clothes on the floor. 'Not my style, but it's all I got.'
Putting it on, it was very baggy and quite comfortable. 'Matching outfits with Rui, that's a first, but I'm not complaining. I wonder if all of his clothes are this comfortable?' Sighing, I fixed my hair with a comb I found in my school bag. 'Better than nothing I suppose.'
Exiting the bathroom, I was met up a flustered Rui. "That's all I had, but you still look great." Now I'm starting to get flustered as well.
"I was planning on going to the mall to get some supplies for our troupe, mind joining me (Y/N)?" Rui asked whilst still blushing. Having nothing better to do, I agreed on going out with Rui.

Our first stop of the day was a cafe near Main Street. It was relatively small but cozy. The smell of coffee added a nice atmosphere to the modern cafe. I had gotten a (F/F) with a (F/D). Rui debated whether waffles or pancakes were better with himself. Eventually he got waffles and ate his breakfast.
When we finished, Rui decided to take a detour at a clothing store he'd seen on our way to the party shop. At first I thought he'd come in here for himself, but he seemed genuinely concentrated in trying to find matching outfits for him and me to wear together.
I had found some matching pins and keychains for all of our troupe. 'Might be a bit basic gift, but it's the thought that counts! And I even have enough money to buy something for Mizuki and An~!' I felt go giddy about doing something for those who've helped me out more than I could ever imagine.
"(Y/N)-Chan, how about these?" A black turtle neck with matching pants and a brown cardigan. The outfit he had chosen for me was the same in every aspect except mine had a skirt instead of pants. It looked nice, but aren't matching clothes a thing couples do?
Then again, I was currently in the exact same casual outfit Rui wears. "Sure, I'll pay for them, so don't worry." Rui immediately shook his head. "No need, I suggested the idea, so I'll pay."
"Thanks Rui." We paid for all our things and left the store.
After a bit of walking, we found our way inside a small hardware store with a decoration shop next to it. Rui and I split up and each shopped for the necessary supplies. I got the usual of party supplies, such as poppers, balloons, firecrackers and other things I deemed important.
'They have a nice notebook for sale, I could definitely use it when I get show ideas!'
Paying for the materials, I met up with Rui, who seemed to be carrying a box of metals, gears, and who knows what else. "Shall we head back to my place? We have way too many things to carry now."
Nodding, we headed towards the train station to take us to a station nearby Rui's house.

Rui told me stories about what happened after I left back in middle school. I felt pity for him, the bullying never stopped even after I left. I thought so, but at least he had Nene and Mizuki to keep him company. I had no idea Rui knew Mizuki though, the more you know.
Turning the corner onto Rui's street, my mother talked with Rui's parents. It looked like she was waiting for me to return from my errands. 'There goes my freedom...'
"Uh...Rui? Mind if I just leave the supplies at your house?" Rui gave me a solemn smile before nodding. Taking a deep breath, we walked to Rui's front porch, where we placed the boxes down.
Rui headed inside the house while I made my way towards my mother. "(Y/N)! I'm glad you're safe and sound!" She pulled me into one of her tight embraces. "You had me so worried! But I'm glad we can go home now. We'll talk things out later."
My mother opened the door to her vehicle, signaling for me to get. Before I got in, Rui handed me my school bag. 'Oh right! My gift!'
"Thanks for today Rui." From my pocket, I gave Rui a platypus keychain. "A small token of my appreciation." I entered the car and waved goodbye to the Kamishiro's. My mother did the same and drove off.
"Your father explained the event that led up to you running off, and we'll talk about it later."
'I know my father probably twisted the story to make me the bad guy, so I can't wait to hear it...'
"Also, as much as I wanted to not say anything, but that outfit is hideous and I'm sorry that you had to wear that."
'I'm offended on behalf of Rui.' That was just straight up rude. Just get me home already so I won't have to deal with any more insults of my friends.

We arrived at the modern-Japanese private street that I lived on. Most of the people who lived here are doctors and engineers who have worked with my father at one point. I will admit that my father technically owns the entire street. He invested into all these houses to make fit for the rich.
Speaking of my father, he stood outside our house, a pleased grin adored his face. My mother pulled onto the driveway. We both exited the car and made our way to my father.
"Welcome back (Y/N). You scared me when you suddenly left. I'm glad the Kamishiro's were kind enough to let you stay with them." He's so up to something. He was polite to me for the first time in his life, he knows he's won.
My mother looked back at me, her usual smile replaced by a serious expression. "So, you went back on your end of a deal. That's the number one rule you can't do (Y/N). Unless you have a really good lawyer, which you don't, breaking contracts is something you shouldn't do!"
Well technically she's right, but what kind of father pushes their child into a situation we're making a deal with them is the only way out?!
That cruel man still had that smug attitude towards this entire lecture. "A fit punishment for breaking a contract would be to for you to stay home and study until the next exams."
"Next? I thought the exams are once a semester? I'm not staying home for a whole semester?!"
Nothing could wipe his smile. He pulled out a flyer with the date of the next exams. 'Saturday evening...he lied to me...there were no exams on Sunday...my sorry-excuse-for-a-father downright lied to me just so he could get his way!'
I should've seen this coming...anything he says is never true! Yet I still fell for his words....
"And of course you'll hand over your devices until I deem you worthy of them."
'Might as well just kill me now.' What more does he want from me?! I'm not allowed to see my friends, he's taking my electronics so I can't even send them a message for help...!
Having nothing left, I made my way towards my room, ready to resent my father for the rest of my life.

[3rd POV]
A day had passed since (Y/N) was grounded.
Rui and Nene walked to school, with Rui describing the recent events that happened between him and (Y/N).
More determined than ever, Rui and Nene began to plan their next course of action in convincing Mr. (L/N) on letting his daughter live her own life.
It wasn't until Nene's phone buzzed when they stopped talking. "It's from...(Y/N)?" Rui looked over at Nene's phone, his eyes widening as he read the message.
"We can't be friends anymore?!"
