Hello hello hello!!! I am back with part II of Ash vs Leon! This will be the conclusion of the fight as well. I'll do my best to make it as memorable as I can. Stick around till the end, as I'll reveal a little info about the next chapter. So enjoy the chapter now! (Video is also mine (check out the rest of the series too))
Leon's Charizard let out a mighty roar as it got ready. Dracovish stomped on the ground as he got ready.
"Charge in with Fishious Rend!" Ash said.
Dracovish ran forward as his jaws glowed blue.
"Use Scale Shot!" Leon said.
Charizard fired multiple scales towards Dracovish.
"Keep going!" Ash said.
Dracovish chomped down at all the scales before they hit him. He readied his jaw again.
"Thunder Punch!" Leon said with a punch.
Charizard readied it's fist. Dracovish bit down on Charizard, however he bit down on the Thunder Punch fist. He cried out in pain and immediately let go.
"Scale Shot!" Leon said.
Charizard attacked again, this time hitting Dracovish with all the scales.
"Dracovish!" Ash called out.
Dracovish fell backwards, landing on his back. He didn't get back up.
"Dracovish is unable to battle, Charizard wins!" Gloria declared.
"And Dracovish falls! But it made one heck of an impact!" The announcer said.
Before Ash could react, Cinderace and Latias raced towards Dracovish. Once they got up to him, they pulled him up and Latias held him in her arms. Ash and the boys made it to them soon after. Dracovish slowly started to open his eyes.
"Hey buddy, how are you feeling?" Ash asked.
"Hungry...are there any pancakes?" He asked tiredly.
"Not here but, we'll get you some later okay?" Ash said.
"Okay...I can't wait..." he said.
Cinderace looked at him with sadness. Dracovish noticed and looked at her.
"Why are you crying?" He asked.
Cinderace finally noticed that she was actually crying. "I'm sorry...it's just that I..."
"Don't cry...it's not good to cry when you're sad..." he said.
Cinderace looked at him with surprise. "But I am sad...because of how I've treated you since we met..."
Dracovish was surprised and confused.
"I shouldn't have said all those mean things...I should've taken more time to know you more...I'm sorry..." she said through her tears.
There was brief silence at first.
"I never cared about that" he said. Everyone looked at him with surprise. "Cause you're my friend..." he said with a smile.
Cinderace was shocked at first. It quickly turned into a smile.
"Best friend" she said.
Dracovish smiled happily. He finally looked up at Latias.
"Since she's my best friend now, does that now make you my girlfriend?" He asked innocently.
Latias blushed hard. She was speechless at first. She suddenly sat him fully up. She faced him, her facial expression looking serious.
She suddenly placed a hand on the side of his head. She then closed her eyes and leaned in and planted her mouth against his. Dracovish closed his eyes as well. Everyone was shocked, even Delphox and Sylveon. They separated and stared at each other.
"It does" she said lovingly.
"Yay! It's just like in all my dreams! Wait...where are the pancakes?" Dracovish said happily, turned his head back and forth as he asked his question.
Everyone laughed at his antics. Ash pulled out Dracovish's ball.
"Rest up for now buddy, I promise we'll get lots of pancakes for you later okay" Ash said.
Dracovish happily nodded. Ash recalled him. He looked at Cinderace, who nodded as well. Ash recalled her next. He looked at Latias, who was smiling while blushing.
"Told you that you still have ones who care about you" he said.
Latias gave him a closed eyes smile. Ash recalled her. He, Pikachu and Greninja returned to their trainer box.
"Sorry about that Leon" Ash said apologetically.
"It's alright Ash, seeing the bond a trainer has with their Pokemon is always a heartwarming sight to see, and I can tell the bond you have with yours nothing short of inspirational" Leon said.
Ash was surprised at first, but smiled as well. He looked downward. 'And speaking of bonds...'
Pikachu nodded, making Ash nod in response. He held out his arm.
"Pikachu...I choose you!" Ash said as Pikachu jumped onto his arm and climbed around him, jumping off the opposite arm.
Pikachu landed. He sparked electricity as he took a battle stance. Sylveon immediately started cheering for her boyfriend.
Greninja was silent, his eyes locked on Pikachu. Delphox managed to see it, she suddenly felt worried based on his facial expression.
"Thunderbolt!" Ash said.
Pikachu fired his attack. Charizard spread its wings out.
"Fly up and use Steel Wing!" Leon said.
Charizard flew into the air, narrowly avoiding Pikachu's attack. It then powered up its wings and flew towards Pikachu.
"Get away with Quick Attack!" Ash said.
Pikachu ran forward at high speeds. He managed to jump and dodge all of Charizard's strikes.
"Thunder Punch!" Leon said with a fist.
Charizard flew fast until it was right in Pikachu's path. It powered up its fist and charged forward.
Ash's eyes narrowed. He sent of a shot of Aura towards Pikachu. He knew what to do. "Dodge it!" Ash said.
While still running, Pikachu jumped and performed the spin dodge move, causing Charizard to miss. Ash acted fast.
"Thunderbolt!" Ash said.
Pikachu shot his attack, this time successfully hitting Charizard. Everyone was surprised at what they just saw. Charizard got back up and shook off the pain.
"Very impressive Ash, that was an awesome dodge" Leon said.
"Thanks, we came up with it when we were in Sinnoh" Ash said.
"Let's give our response! Charizard use Fire Blast!" Leon said.
Charizard roared and unleashed its attack. Pikachu quickly sprang into action.
After a smoke cloud cleared, it showed Pikachu performing the Counter Shield. Everyone gasped again. Charizard studied it rather than attacking again, something Leon always told it to do. Once Pikachu decided to stop, he jumped back into the air.
"Charizard, use Scale Shot!" Leon said.
Charizard fired its barrage of scales towards Pikachu.
"Use Iron Tail!" Ash said.
Pikachu powered up his tail and proceeded to obliterate all the scales before they could hit him. Once they were gone, he and Ash got an idea.
"Use Electro Ball with Iron Tail!" Ash said.
Pikachu did just that. The Electro Ball suddenly grew a metallic outer shell. Pikachu launched it at Charizard, landing a clean hit on it.
If anyone else could gasp again, they were certainly doing it. Even the Champions were in awe at Ash's battling prowess. Charizard slowly got back up. Ash and Pikachu decided to end this now.
"Pikachu!" Ash called out.
Pikachu turned and saw Ash gripping his cap bridge.
"Let's give it everything we've got!" He said.
Pikachu nodded. Ash threw his hat into the air. Pikachu jumped up and positioned the hat onto his head.
"Here we go!" Ash said as he crossed his arms, making the Z-Ring glow.
"Charizard, get ready!" Leon said to his partner. Charizard looked back and stared into its partner's eyes. It nodded as it faced Pikachu again.
Pikachu came down, reaching Ash's height. The two initiated the move.
Serena and Sylveon prayed for their victory. Greninja watched on while still remaining silent.
"More powerful than 10,000 volts! More than 100,000! No...even more than that!!" Ash said as Pikachu gathered more electricity.
Serena and their Pokemon suddenly saw flashes in their minds. They were memories that Ash and Pikachu have shared together.
"Ash...Pikachu..." Serena said to herself.
"Pikachu!! 10 Million Volt Thunderbolt!!!" Ash yelled as he raised his fist into the air.
Pikachu finished gathering electricity. Flashes of him as a Pichu being with his adopted mother and brother ran consecutively. He yelled at the top of his lungs as he unleashed his ultimate move.
Charizard grunted as it's eyes narrowed. An explosion erupted. Ash and Pikachu were both breathing heavily. Pikachu was also on the ground, looking very tired. They both let out a victorious breath.
The smoke suddenly started to spin around. Once it cleared, it showed Charizard spinning around with a wall of flames around it.
All of Ash's friends gasped in utter shock.
"Th-That's...!" Brock said, but was unable to finish.
"Counter Shield...!" Dawn said with her eyes shaking. Piplup was also in a state of shook.
Serena, Delphox and Sylveon looked on in horror at what just happened.
"No..." Serena whispered as her hands shook.
Ash, Greninja and Pikachu were the most in shook. And what was worse was Charizard looked barely hurt if at all.
"How...how did Charizard know how to perform it...?" Ash said.
"Charizard is a quick study. It doesn't take long for it to replicate a move it may have only seen once" Leon explained.
Pikachu continued to look on in shook, his breathing still heavy. 'No...it's...my fault...!'
"Charizard, Fire Blast!" Leon said.
Charizard stopped spinning and used the flames to initiate the move.
"Pikachu!! Get out of there!!!" Ash yelled.
Pikachu tried to get up but was hit just as he stood up. Another explosion rocked the battlefield. Everyone shielded their eyes and waited for it to die down. Ash suddenly felt something hit his foot. He looked down and saw his hat on top of it. He picked it up and quickly put it on. Once the explosion died down, it showed Pikachu standing on all fours, but covered in scratches, one eye open. He continued to breathe heavily.
The entire stadium was silent, Pikachu's breathing practically echoing throughout the stadium. Ash said nothing, only staring out with worry.
Pikachu started to grow weaker. He kept staring at Charizard and Leon, trying to stay up. His vision started blurring. He finally fell to his side with an echoing thud, his vision slowly turning black.
"Pikachu!!!!" Ash's voice yelled as it echoed in Pikachu's ears as everything turned black.
Gloria checked on Pikachu, seeing him motionless. She closed her eyes and lowered her head.
"Pikachu is...unable to battle! Charizard wins!" She declared.
Everyone gasped in horrific shock. Serena and Burnet had their hands covering their mouths. Delphox was wide eyed with her mouth open. Sylveon was...devastated. Completely and utterly devastated. She silently cried uncontrollably.
"Pikachu...no..." she tearfully whispered.
"How could this happen...?!" Kukui said.
Once registering what had happened, Ash ran towards Pikachu. Greninja stood still, his eyes hidden. His hands started to shake.
Ash picked up Pikachu and held him. He looked peaceful as he slept, and it seemed he would be out of it for a while.
"Pikachu...I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..." he said.
Leon watched them with sadness. It made him remember holding a then Charmander in his arms after it had been beaten in an important battle.
Greninja formed a fist that shook with anger. Ash walked back towards his trainer box. He threw a ball out from behind the box. In a flash, Decidueye appeared. It didn't take long for him to realize what was going on.
Ash handed Pikachu to him. "Look after Pikachu please?"
"You got it Ash" Decidueye said as he took Pikachu from Ash.
Lucario let himself out as well, joining Decidueye. He felt sad as well.
Greninja partially walked onto the battlefield. Ash's body faced forward but his head looked downward.
"Greninja...I..."
He suddenly saw something in the corner of his eye. He looked up.
Greninja was facing him with his left hand stretched out. He looked straight at Ash. Without thinking, Ash stretched his robotic arm out. Their two hands met. A see through human hand and a see through Unovan Zoroark hand joined them.
(Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na...Na Na Na Na...)
Their Aura started to glow and intertwine with each other. A young Ash and Froakie appeared, turning into Ash in his Kalos outfit and Frogadier, turning into Ash in his second Alola outfit and Greninja, finally turning into Ash's current outfit, Greninja still glowing brighter. Once he stopped glowing, Ash-Greninja appeared, although he looked different now.
His body was still Indigo and had glowing Green scar marks and the same pattern on his chest and red color pattern on his head and side hairs. However, new things were visible. The hairs on his sides were a little longer and more wild, the Green Shuriken had an Indigo outline on it, his right hand became mostly black, looking like a fingerless glove complete with a green ring around the wrist area. What stood out the most, was his entire left arm covered in metal, almost like armor.
Ash and Greninja opened their eyes, revealing Indigo and Green eyes on both of them. They stared at each other. Greninja then turned around and faced Charizard and Leon, see through Delia and Zoroark looking at them from behind.
(Masara TOWN ni sayonara-shite kara doredake no jikan tatta darou)
"We will be...a Pokémon Master!!" "We will be...a Pokémon Master!!" They both said in unison. Everyone was completely speechless at this point, only able to watch.
(Surikizu kirikizu nakama no kazu Sore wa chotto jiman ka na)
"Charizard! Let's have a Champion Time!!" Leon said as he threw his hat into the air. Charizard roared as it ignited its flames.
(Ano koro suggoku hayatte-ita kara kai ni hashitta kono SUNIIKA mo)
"Greninja!!" Ash began. He pulled his hat backwards as his Indigo and Green eyes glowed. "Let's get stronger, and go full power!!!" He yelled.
(Ima de wa sekai juu sagashite mo mitsukaranai)
Greninja widened his eyes as he let out a huge battle cry, Indigo and Green aura swirling around him.
(Saikou no boroboro gutsu sa!)
"Thunder Punch!!" Leon yelled. Charizard powered up its fist with super charged electricity.
"Water Shuriken!!" Ash said as he reached behind his back, Greninja copying him.
Greninja and Charizard ran and flew towards each other respectively at insanely high speeds. Charizard tried to punch Greninja, only to have it blocked by Greninja's Water Shuriken. Greninja swung his Shuriken, hitting Charizard back.
(Itsu no ma ni ka, TYPE: WILD!
Sukoshi-zutsu dakedo, TYPE: WILD!
Motto motto, TYPE: WILD!)
Greninja and Charizard glared at each other as they awaited their partner's commands.
(Tsuyoku naru yo...TYPE: WILD!)
"Jump up and use Aerial Ace!" Ash said.
Greninja jumped into the air, powering up his fists and legs.
"Block it with Steel Wing!" Leon said.
Charizard powered up its wings.
Greninja's foot made contact with Charizard's wing. He then used it to do a backflip and land on the ground. He began to throw jabs at Charizard, finally getting a kick to its head, pushing it back.
(SUUTSUKEESU mo kinenshashin mo GAIDO mo iranai tabi dakedo)
"Use Scale Shot!" Leon said. Charizard did so.
(Deatta minna no atatakasa)
"Cut them all down! Night Slash!!" Ash said as he held his side. Greninja copied him and pulled out a sword.
(Sore wa chanto motte kaeru yo)
He obliterated all the incoming scales. A couple were left. Greninja jumped and positioned himself horizontally to slip through them. He got ready to strike. Ash copied his movement.
(Nandaka dou-temo tsurai kanji no omoide datte atta hazu dakedo)
"Use your tail to push Greninja back!" Leon said. Charizard did so, hitting Greninja in the stomach, causing him and Ash to grunt in pain while holding their stomach areas.
(Kizukanai uchi ni RYUKKU no hokorobi kara)
"Not yet!! Use Double Team!" Ash said. Greninja did so and made a bunch of copies. Some powered up Aerial Aces, some produced Night Slash swords, one grabbed a Water Shuriken.
(Kobore ochite shimatta you sa!)
"Let's go!!" Ash yelled as he raised his fist in the air.
The Greninja clones charged forward. Charizard destroyed them one by one, however it managed to get hit several times.
(Itsu no ma ni ka, TYPE: WILD!
Sukoshi-zutsu dakedo, TYPE: WILD!)
Charizard eyed Leon, giving him the signal. Leon nodded.
(Motto motto, TYPE: WILD!)
Leon revealed his Dynamax Band. "Charizard! Let's finish this now!!"
(Tsuyoku naru yo...TYPE: WILD!)
Leon recalled Charizard. He activated his Dynamax Band, causing the ball to grow.
"Charizard! Gigantamax!!" He yelled as he threw the ball.
In a huge flash, Gigantamax Charizard appeared, letting out a loud roar. Ash and Greninja looked up with no fear in their eyes.
"Charizard! G-Max Wildfire!!!" Leon yelled as he threw his arms out as fire erupted in front of him.
Charizard unleashed its attack, sending giant fiery wings towards Greninja.
Greninja used his metallic armored arm as a shield as he and Ash grunted.
Leon and Charizard let out a battle cry as they continued to push.
(Itsu no ma ni ka! TYPE: WILD!)
The sky above them suddenly got dark. Everyone looked up and gasped in disbelief. Greninja hovered above with a gigantic Water Shuriken. Ash also had his hand up.
(Sukoshi-zutsu dakedo! TYPE: WILD!)
"GO ASH!!!!" "GO GRENINJA!!!!" The humans and Pokemon yelled respectively.
"AAAAAASSSSHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Serena screamed. "GRENINNNJJJJAAAAA!!!!!!!!" Delphox screamed.
(Motto motto! TYPE: WILD!)
"WATER SHURIKEN!!!!!!!!" "WATER SHURIKEN!!!!!!!!" Ash and Greninja yelled as they threw it with all their might.
(Motto motto!!! TYPE: WILD!)
The giant Shuriken and the redirected G-Max Wildfire attacks collided, causing a massive explosion to erupt, shaking the entire stadium and almost making the safety barriers break. A large beam lit up the sky. It took a little bit to die down. Pikachu slightly opened his eyes.
(Itsu no ma ni ka, TYPE: WILD!
Sukoshi-zutsu dakedo, TYPE: WILD!
Motto motto, TYPE: WILD!
Tsuyoku naru yo...TYPE: WILD!)
Ash and Greninja were breathing heavily as they struggled to remain on their feet. They suddenly heard booming noises. They looked up and saw Charizard reverting back to normal.
It was still on its feet, breathing heavily as well. Greninja stared at it. Charizard let out one last blast of fire from its mouth.
(Soshite itsuka kou iu yo)
It fell over onto its back, not getting back up.
("Hello...in my dream.")
(Was the SM version if you didn't already know)
Gloria checked on Charizard. It had swirls for eyes. Gloria let out a breath. She stood back up.
"Charizard is unable to battle, Greninja wins! Which means the victory goes to Alola Champion Ash!" Gloria declared.
The crowd let out a deafening applause.
"HE'S DONE IT!!! LEON IS DEFEATED!!! ASH KETCHUM HAS BECOME THE NEW WORLD MONARCH!!!!" The announcer yelled.
Ash's friends all screamed and cheered with excitement. Grace and Jake yelled as they raised their arms in the air. Professor Oak was so incredibly proud of Ash, thinking back to the day he received Pikachu.
Kukui and Burnet had no words. They simply smiled and cried at seeing their son emerge victorious.
Serena jumped up and screamed with happiness, her tears coming down her cheeks. Delphox and Sylveon were hugging each other with the same level of joy as their trainer.
All the other champions applauded Ash, albeit much more calmly than Serena and Iris.
"That Ash is truly something special" Diantha said.
"There's no one else like him" Cynthia added.
Lance and Steven smiled as they continued to clap their hands.
Ash was frozen for a moment. It happened right? They had won, right? At last it finally hit them.
Ash and Greninja ran towards each other, engulfing each other in a big hug. They hugged and cried and laughed together. In the background the see through Delia and Zoroark looked at them with teary eyed smiles. They looked at each other, before turning towards their respective sons again. They slowly faded away into nothingness.
Leon walked up and bent down next to Charizard. Said Pokémon started to wake up.
"Charizard...you were incredible" he said as he rubbed its head.
Charizard let out noises as it looked at Leon. Leon recalled Charizard soon after. He looked up and saw Ash and a now normal Greninja still hugging. It got added by the addition of Decidueye and a dragged Lucario by the former. Leon chuckled at the sight. He got back up and walked towards Ash.
"Ash" he said.
Ash turned to face Leon.
"You were absolutely incredible out there. I've never had a more exciting and fun battle than this one."
"Thanks Leon, this was the same for us" Ash said.
Ash suddenly felt something tug on his shirt. He looked down and saw Pikachu awake and smiling at him. Ash picked him up and raised him in the air.
"We did it buddy!! We won!!" Ash said.
Pikachu cheered with excitement. Ash brought him down and hugged his face against Pikachu, both laughing happily.
A couple minutes later Ash was standing in the middle of the battlefield, Pikachu on his shoulder and Greninja on his right. Leon reentered holding a big trophy in his arms. He made his way up to Ash.
"Ash Ketchum, in honor of your victory here today, please accept this trophy as proof of your title of World Monarch, and the strongest trainer in the world!" He said.
Ash was about to accept it, but stopped. He let out all his Pokémon, who already knew what was going on.
"I can't accept it...without all of us" Ash said.
Leon chuckled. He handed the trophy to Ash. All of Ash's Pokémon got together and held it up together.
He suddenly heard a throat clearing. He turned and saw Serena standing nearby alongside Delphox and Sylveon. Ash chuckled, he handed the trophy to the others to hold as he, Pikachu and Greninja made their way towards their girlfriends.
"See? Told you you would win" Serena said with a blushing smile.
Ash lightly chuckled. He and Serena held each other in a passionate embrace. Ash started to move, surprising Serena. Ash bent downward, making Serena cling to his neck to keep herself from falling. Serena blushed madly at this move. Ash then planted his lips firmly on Serena's. Her eyes widened but quickly closed as she returned the kiss. They held that position for a few seconds. Their Pokémon saw this and copied them as well.
A little bit later everyone met up. They all congratulated Ash one by one. Grace gave her signature bone crushing hug. Jake patted his back, congratulating him.
The last ones to congratulate him were Kukui and Burnet. They didn't say anything. They entered into a loving embrace, Burnet crying the entire time.
A party was held in the evening, all his friends were invited as well. There was lots of food and a space to dance. At some point Brock tried to flirt with a beautiful girl but was dragged away by Croagunk after being hit by its Poison Jab.
Ash and Serena were dancing together as they spoke.
"It's crazy, y'know? After over 6 years of being on my journey, I've finally made it to this point" Ash said.
"It's not crazy at all. It was going to happen someday...I'm just happy I got to see it" Serena said.
"It's thanks to you that this all happened" Ash said.
Serena blushed. "Oh come on Ash, you're over exaggerating" she said with a chuckle.
"No I'm not" Ash said with a serious tone and face, surprising Serena. "If it weren't for you, I would've given up before my journey even started. I never did, cause you inspired me to never give up until the very end. That became my motivation, and it's thanks to that that I was able to achieve my goals. I'm a champion and the World Monarch, because I have you by my side" he said.
Serena cried tears of joy at hearing that. They kissed again as they danced. They held each other close as another song played.
"I guess that means you're also a Pokémon Master now" Serena said.
Ash was silent. Serena picked up on that and faced him. He had a face that looked like he was in deep thought.
"Ash?"
"I've been thinking about it for a while now. And I realized that, I'm not a Pokémon Master just yet. I feel like there's one last step I have to take in order to realize my dream of being one" Ash said.
"One last step? What could that be?" Serena asked.
"To be honest...I don't really know. But I can feel that it's the last step I need to take" Ash said.
"I'm sure you'll figure it out at some point" Serena said.
Ash nodded. The two danced together as the last song finished.
For Ash, today was a huge step towards his dream finally becoming a reality, but it was also a day that he successfully showed the world who he is.
The very best...like no one ever was.
And there. We. Go! That's a wrap on Ash's battle with Leon! Did you all like it? I wanted to mix things up a little so I didn't just copy and paste from the anime. This battle was such a blast to write and I finally got to let the Dracovish x Latias ship sail! So as I said at the beginning, the next chapter will kinda not have too much going on, it's mainly gonna act like a filler chapter but still have important plot points in it. I also want to write it to take a breather from all the action chapters that I've written recently. So with all that said I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I'm looking forward to seeing you all in the next chapter. Power to the Readers!
