After the Dragon Hunters brought Kai, Jay, and Zane to Iron Baron, who mistook them for being Oni, he ordered them to be thrown into The Pit with Slab. Daddy No Legs lead them through Dead's End they noted they hunt Dragons to use their Elemental Powers. In the distance, Cole, Aria, and Wu kept watch over them.
"They're headed towards that arena." Cole points out "But I don't think they're going to see a show."
"Then we have to go in there and break them out. Come on!" Wu jumps down but Cole catches him.
"Are you crazy?" Cole pulls him back up.
"I agree with Master," Aria comments "We can't just sit here while these people are doing who knows what to our friends."
"This place is crawling with Hunters and getting caught isn't on my to-do-list." Cole argues "We're gonna have to wait it out."
"Don't put off till tomorrow what can be done today." Young Wu tells him
"Ha," Aria points at Cole mockingly "the student is becoming the master."
"Shut it," Cole hits her hand away before looking at young Wu "I'm not putting anything off. I'm trying to come up with a plan. What do you expect me to do? Take them on all by myself?" Wu pulls out a telescope "Since when did you have that?"
"I borrowed it earlier, like how you borrowed my wisdom." Young Wu replies
"You wouldn't be going in alone Cole," Aria interrupts "You got me."
"And risk these dragon hunters finding out your also a dragon," Cole argues "no thank you."
"There." Young Wu points out a clothesline "We can use that. We can use disguises."
"Uh, I don't know. Disguises haven't worked out so good for me in the past." Cole says
"Uh, cousin Cole," Aria points into the distance where Wu was already running towards it
"Master Wu! Get back here!" Cole shouts running after him "Wu!"
"Here we go again," Aria says before following after them
Back in Ninjago, the Resistance drives up to the Garbage Depot.
"What is this place?" Lloyd asks
"I call it, the rest of the Resistance" Skylor replies
They all get out of the truck.
Tox looks at Dareth "Just what are you supposed to be?"
"I'm Dareth, master of, uh...uh, Brown" he replies
"Brown?" Tox questions
"You'll witness my power" Dareth replies
Skylor groans.
"So, you Elemental Masters call this dump your home?" Dareth questions
"Nu-uh. Not dump. Depot" Karlof replies
"We've found it to be a perfect cover. It allows us to go wherever we want in the city while keeping an eye on things" Skylor explains
Lloyd smiles "Thank you, Skylor. You saved us, but—But how did you know where to find us? How did you know we were in trouble?"
"A little birdie told me" Skylor replies
Mistaké reveals herself "Hello again, young Garmadon"
"Mistaké?" Misako questions
"Old woman?" Reika comments
"What are you doing here?" Nya asks, ignoring Reika.
"I'm sure you have many questions about where your friends are." Mistaké replies with a smile "And I have answers."
The group sit around Mistake as she pours tea.
"So my friends, they're alive?" Lloyd asks
"Hm? Oh, yes, yes. Though they have passed beyond my ability to see." Mystake replies "My Traveler's Tea sent them to a realm that has existed long before time had a name. The land of your ancestor."
"The First Realm, the Realm of Oni and Dragon." Lloyd says
"Where Aria's parents are from," Reika adds "How do we bring them back?"
"You can't." Mystake tells them
"There has to be a way." Lloyd says
"Come on old lady you sent them there," Reika sighs "green boy's useless without my wife around."
"In this case.. the only way for them to return is to find a way back from the other side." Mystake hands Reika and Lloyd a cup of tea "Drink."
"What does it do?" Lloyd asks
"It's Earl Grey." Mystake replies "Clears the mind."
"Huh?" Reika looks confused
"I don't need a clear mind." Lloyd shakes his head "I need a way to help my friends."
"Ooh, such impatience." Mystake says "Did Master Wu teach you nothing at all?"
Lloyd drinks the tea before looking at Reika, who then sighs and also drinks the tea.
"The way you help your friends most is to endure." Mystake tells them
"Endure?" Lloyd asks
"Like the hare pursued by the fox. Or the fox pursued by the hound." Mystake explains "You are the hunted, and must live long enough to see their return. You must endure."
"But what about Aria?" Lloyd asks worriedly "She's in a realm where both her parents are from, I'm worried someone might recognize her if their are any Oni left."
"Or dragons," Reika adds
"You both worry for someone who is stronger then you think," Mystake chuckles "it's nice the young lord has such good friends in this life."
Lloyd and Reika look at each other before looking back at Mystake.
"You.. know about Aria's past life?" Lloyd questions
"Of course I do," Mystake replies "I helped raise the little brat the first time around."
"What was she like?" Reika asks
"Hm," Mystake thinks for a moment before replying "strong willed, stubborn, and thick headed. Much like the young lord you know today, but peace didn't last for long back then as it did neither this time around."
"She just can't seem to catch a break," Reika mutters
"You know a lot about her," Lloyd says suspiciously "just who are you?
"Just an old woman who has made a great many mistakes." Mystake laughs "That's how I got my name. Mystake."
"I have a hard time believing that your wisdom rivals Master Wu's." Lloyd says
"Wisdom comes from many places, but comes in spades with mistakes." Mystake replies "We make them, and if fortunate, we learn from them. That is all wisdom is: being wise enough not to make the same mistakes twice."
Lloyd looks down at Aria's locket that was still safely around his wrist.
"Your father has a destructive power I have never seen." Mystake tells him
"Will my power return?" Lloyd asks, looking up at her.
"Hmm. True power is never lost, only given away when you think you have none." Mystake replies "You have good friends. Lead them. And endure. Only then, will your loved ones be able to make it back."
Back in the first realm, Aria, Cole and Wu, disguised as Dragon Hunters, enter the audience.
"Look, there they are." Wu points out the ninja
"You know I should make a count for how many times they're put in a cage or locked up," Aria comments "and I'm somehow always treated as the damsel in distress."
"We're in the cheap seats." Cole complains "If we're gonna help them, we have to get closer. Come on!"
The trio attempts to move closer as Cole bumps into someone. The guy turns to them and growls.
"I don't recognize you." he says
"And I don't recognize you!" Cole replies
"Nice cuz," Aria mutters
"Haha!" the guy laughs "Everyone knows I am Scar the Skullbreaker. Now, who are you?"
"Uh, we're new to camp." Cole replies "The name's Rocky Dangerbuff. And this is my son, Dangerbuff Jr.. and my sister A-Amy Dangerbuff."
Aria attempted to not laugh as Wu shook his head.
"Ah! From the Dangerbuff clan!" the guy smiles as Aria and Wu look at each other "Ha. I know Stalwart Dangerbuff. I bet he'd like to see you. Let me fetch him." He turns around as the trio makes their quick escape.
"You're right." young Wu looks at Cole "Bad at disguises."
"I didn't hear you speaking up." Cole defends
"The Master knows when to keep his mouth shut." Wu says
"Which translates to, you can dig your own grave Cole," Aria tells him
The trio make it to the front of the crowd as they release the large dragon, Aria gasps.
"That's a big boy," Aria says
The large dragon, Slab, throws Chew Toy in the crowd as Jay runs toward his bell.
"Haha! It's ours!" Jay laughs
"What are you doing?" Kai questions
"If I'm going out, I'm going out with bells on." Jay replies as slab attacks them.
Cole and Aria panic as the ninja avoid the dragon.
"See? Slab knows. Slab can smell Oni blood. Change for us, Oni! Show us your ugly faces!"
"I think the dragon senses me!" Aria tells Cole
"He definitely does," Cole replies covering her mouth "shh." he looks out and calls to the ninja "guys!"
"Cole! Aria! Master Wu." Zane sees them "You're here."
"We've come to help." Cole says
"Then you should leave." Zane replies
"Wait, what? We're trying to save you!" Cole argues
"Master Wu is a descendant of the First Spinjitzu Master and Aria is an Oni." Zane says "Their mere presence is only making things worse."
"They're right," Cole sighs "We should go."
"Maybe not, I wanna help." Wu looks around before he lowers some chains "Now we go."
The trio smile before rushing out to avoid angering the dragon further. The ninja use the chains to hold Slab down. Just before Slab could attack Jay with , Zane used his to freeze him.
The Iron Baron gasps "Oni don't have Elemental Powers. They know the ways of the Master! Hunt them down."
Aria, Cole, and Wu make it out of the arena as Aria sighs.
"What's the matter?" Cole asks her
"I feel like I did more harm then good in there," Aria says looking around "this realm is supposed to be my home, but I don't know the first thing about it."
"Is it really your home though?" young Wu questions "You were not born here, it is not where your family is, that is the place you call home."
Aria smiles and rubs the top of Wu's head "You're right little master.." she looks up and sighs "Lloyd.. I wanna go home.. so protect it.."
