Dear Luke,
Today I told my dad at lunch that I was dating Ashton. My dad actually wasn't mad, just surprised. He didn't even know I was hanging out with him at all. Apparently, I was good at hiding it. He wants to meet him, and I told him I would talk to Ashton about when and where they can meet.
Today I slept in when I got home, and then woke up and went to lunch with only my dad. Tess had some family emergency so she couldn't come.
When I got home I saw your guitar and tried to play it. Once again, It sounded dreadful. I then realized Ashton knows how to play and wondered if he could teach me. I know I am technically 'unteachable', but I would always try again.
So it is summer. No more tutor, no more pestering bullies, and sadly no more you.
This is my first summer without you. It feels weird. I remember going to the park with you at midnight like it was yesterday, and now you are gone and we can't do anything together anymore.
I feel stupid for not realizing it sooner and helping you, but it is too late now.
