Announcer placed Blanco on one of the hospital beds.
He examined the mold every which way that he could.
The boards and wires in some areas were covered in mold, but as long as the mold there and in the inner exterior areas (which it had spread to) were cleaned/replaced, then the damage was repairable.
The memories, including the corrupted ones?
Announcer initially thought of attempting to decrypt and/or uncorrupt the memories.
But if they couldn't be fixed that way, they'd be, unfortunately, almost lost in time.
Luckily, Announcer's little brother, Midnight Speaker Box, gave Announcer a copy of a hardware piece that Blanco's memories were stored in.
That could work with new hardware as soon as it was connected after Blanco was fixed.
Blanco soon came to.
"What - What's going on? The whole world's going crazy. What is happening?!"
"I saw that the mold inside of you is pretty ugly, but the interior damage is repairable. I will just need you to be shut down for this."
"O - okay..."
Blanco was a little hesitant about shutting down, but Announcer reassured him.
"It'll be alright, Blanco..."
Announcer reached towards Blanco's shutoff, but Blanco reached it first.
"Just
try
to
relax..."
Blanco then relaxed as they shut down.
***
Blanco got up, now in a white room.
"Where - am I?"
The room glitched a little, then a lot, and then -
The school hallway? But it felt so much longer than before...
Then...
There he was.
Æññøűŋçęř...
In all his... glory? For any glory... he didn't look or even SEEM glorious. But he seemed like he knew... something.
"Âŕě ŷõụ øƙāý?"
"Um... Where... no... How... am I?"
"Ÿőů ŵəřë pŕęťţý ɓêªṭėņ ŭp ɓāĉķ ţĥêřę."
"Wait... I remember this," Blanco said to himself. "Is this when... me and Announcer first met?"
"Ẅęłľ Ɓļãñçœ... đö ýøů ŋēĕð æṅÿ ĥēĺp?"
"Of course."
As soon as Blanco said that, the place glitched more, and Announcer started running.
He stopped, then turned to Blanco.
"What are you waiting for?"
Blanco ran to the young Announcer, and the two held each other's seven-fingered hands.
They left the area at once and as quickly as they could run.
As the two were escaping the glitching area, many places flashed in front of the two speaker boxes, like someone's life flashing before their eyes.
The Announcer in front of Blanco progressively grew up behind the areas of the planet where he had been for almost as long as he and Blanco could remember.
As the two ran further, the glitch covered all of the sides in the areas of where they were coming from and going to.
The glitchy mess surrounded the two speaker boxes as everything went dark again.
Blanco started up again, seeing a black screen area, and then his sense of vision started working for the first time.
He didn't remember anymore from before the dream... or much in the dream.
He was in a hospital bed and saw someone who looked exactly like the vintage form of Announcer over him.
"Hello, world, and hello to you," Blanco said.
"Hello... Blanco. How are you doing?"
"Well, I don't remember much, but I remember a dream with someone that looked and talked exactly how you do. Their name was Announcer."
"Announcer?... That's me.
I spent hours repairing the mold in your system."
"Oh, my! All those hours...
just for me?" Blanco said in a... curious voice.
"... Of course. I will now finish up what I was doing. I will now install a little chip inside of your patched - up corner. Hold still."
Blanco did as he was told while Announcer installed the chip.
"All done, Blanco."
Blanco then saw their entire life flash before them.
Everything was explained. Even the news anchors and the report.
"Now I remember everything... wait... Announcer?... Oh my GPU! I... have never seen you in all of your beauty in years..."
Announcer seemed a little worried, but then said...
"Wow... I haven't felt so... what? Flustered? Yeah, so flustered in years."
"I knew that worked," Blanco replied in a strange tone. Then, he looked around and realized that even the hole in them was patched up again after the memory chip was installed.
"Announcer...
THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'VE NEVER FELT THIS GOOD IN YEARS! Whew... I'm fixed! I'm fixed...
and it's all thanks to you, cute speako."
"Did you just -? I haven't been called cute that way in years."
"Hehe, I'll save that for later. For now, let's hang out in a place other than here."
"Sounds good. In fact, let's shop together, Blanco."
"Okay! Anything for you!"
***
Blanco and Announcer went to Walmart and looked around in the store.
Announcer bought a few things, and so did Blanco.
Blanco got some paper, a pen, glitter, and a few decorations.
Announcer saw the pattern in his friend's items. He thought that Blanco was trying to tell someone something... Something very special. He didn't know who, though.
***
Later, the friends went to Blanco's house.
Blanco styled and prepared something very special... for a very special... lucky one.
They gave their all to the big, sparkly heart. Then, he set it on the table.
Now for the someone to see.
***
Announcer waited a little in the living room for Blanco. Then he found a note.
"Go to the dining room, Announcer.
- Blanco." Announcer read off of the note, then thought a little out loud.
"I wonder what is in there."
So Announcer went to the dining room.
A big paper heart with glitter on it was on the table.
He read the message written on the heart.
"Dear Announcer,
We have been friends for quite a long time, as you, and now I, both know. There has been a question that I have always been meaning to ask you, but the times and expectations of our pasts didn't allow me to...
Would you like to go on a date?
Sincerely, your 'friend'...
Blanco."
"I would love to," said Blanco, replying to the note that Announcer had just read aloud. "If you don't, I understand you game show host types."
Announcer paused.
He looked at Blanco, pointed the love note at himself, then the other speaker box.
He then replied,
"Anything for you, Blanco. I love you too."

A/N: woohoo part two of Blanco's repair story turned gay relationship yay wahoo
I plan on doing more of Announcer's past in my AU soon.
Including the speaker box clones in BFDI. (+ chars such as Midnight and Blanco, and another character called Jewel, who will soon be revealed)
Bonus fun fact: Midnight is inspired by the BFDI RC "Announcer's Brother."
