The ninja arrive on a tour to the Temple.
"Welcome to Yang's Haunted Temple, the historical landmark and former home of Sensei Yang, the notorious sensei without a pupil, infamous for creating the lost martial art of Airjitzu. Unfortunately, we can't take our tour groups inside, for rumors say anyone trapped inside its walls at sunrise, will be turned into a Ghost permanently. But, if you listen closely, maybe we'll be able to hear the Ghost of Sensei Yang himself looking for his lost pupils."
"I HOPE IT'S NOT A RUMOR, FOR IT'S OUR ONLY HOPE!" Zane yells
Aria and Reika cover his mouth as the whole tour group looks at them.
"Ah, sorry about my loud friend." Cole apologizes, laughing nervously "He's a little hard of hearing."
"Known for his unusual teaching methods.." the tour continued
"I thought you said you fixed him?" Kai questions Jay
"At least he's no longer talking backwards." Jay replies, rubbing his head "I guess my tinkering got his volume level stuck, hehe."
"You know I told Lloyd when he was little and I'll say it again," Aria turns to them "Ninja are supposed to be quiet."
"AT LEAST YOU CAN UNDERSTAND ME NOW!" Zane shouts
"Shush!" Aria hushes him
"Well," Cole pats Zane's back "from now on, only speak if you have something really important to say."
Zane nods in response as Kai turns to Cole.
"Who put you in charge?" Kai questions
"I did." Cole replies "After you guys mucked it up, it's my turn to be in charge. And, like me, I like my plans simple. We sneak in, learn Airjitzu from the Ghost of Sensei Yang, then get out before sunup."
"Since Morro already knows Airjitzu, we just have to hope he hasn't figured out the next clue." Kai sighs
"Well, the sun is setting, which means we should head back to the bus." the head of the tour guides the group "Wouldn't want anyone to turn into a Ghost."
The ninja hide in nearby bushes until the tour group was out of sight. The emerge as Cole and Jay try to open the windows.
"Not working?" Kai questions
They hear a loud bang and quickly turn their heads to see the source, Aria kicking open the doors.
"Oh, uh, okay." Cole says
The group enters the temple as the doors close behind them, and lock on it's own. They walk through the halls, soon entering a room.
"Well, If this place is truly haunted," Kai turns to the group "we just need to wait until he shows himself."
"Uh, he should've been here by now." Jay says, looking around the room.
"You heard the tour guide, if we're not out by sunup, we'll be Ghosts." Cole shivers at the thought
"Wimp," Aria mutters
"You didn't buy into that malarkey, did you?" Kai asks
"Hey, I don't wanna be a Ghost." Cole defends himself "Who wants to be a Ghost? Why didn't anyone warn us this place would get so creepy after dark?"
Jay turns to the others "Uh, remind me again why we agreed to put the guy afraid of Ghosts in charge?"
"We didn't," Aria says "he elected himself.. at the worst time."
Zane shows Jay a book "LISTEN TO THIS!"
"Argh! Allow me." Jay takes the book as the others gather around "Ahem. Whoa. It says here though many believed Sensei Yang's unusually strict teachings drove his pupils away, others admit to never seeing any of them leave the temple grounds, suggesting a more sinister plot. Hah! How awesome is that?"
"Not awesome." Cole says "Not even a little."
"Relax Cole," Aria puts her hand on his back "their's no such thing as ghosts."
"So says the girl who can summon the hands of the dead," Reika argues
"..." Aria looks at her "you got me there."
"Yang was hard on his pupils for a reason, for in his words 'As iron sharpens iron, Sensei sharpens student.'" Jay reads
"Hmm." Kai looks up "I wonder what he means by that."
They watch as a grandfather clock starts moaning.
"It's him. He's in the clock!" Cole shouts, terrified
"You're the leader. Check it out." Jay pushes him towards it
"Why me?!" Cole shouts
"Come on great and wise leader," Aria says "lead us."
Reika snickers as Cole groans, he opens the door and the Falcon flies out.
"Ah!" Cole jumps
Zane plays the groaning sound on the Falcon and everyone laughs at him.
"A prank? Really?" Cole questions looking irritated
"I should've took a picture for the scrapbook," Aria giggles
"Heh, we were just trying to help you relax." Kai says as he pats Cole on the back
"Yeah, heh. You should have heard yourself scream!" Jay laughs
Zane plays a recording of Cole screaming and everyone laughs again, but stop when they hear a thudding sound.
"Ah. Another prank? Real funny. Didn't anyone teach you to quit while you're ahead?" Cole opens a door and leaves.
"Uh," Aria looks at Zane "that wasn't you was it?"
Zane shakes his head no and the group quickly runs after Cole.
"Cole wait!"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Very scary." Cole approaches a door with its handles moving "As if I believe in Ghosts."
"I swear, Cole." Kai says
"Let's go back! We didn't do that!" Jay shouts
"IT WASN'T US!" Zane yells
"Okay, I have to admit, this is pretty good. How'd you get the handles to move all by itself? Is Nya behind there?" Cole asks
"How would Nya even get here?" Aria questions "Cole don't-"
They scream while Cole opens it, but nothing happens.
"Well, that was anticlimactic." Kai says as they walk into the dojo "Sensei Yang's dojo. This is where he must've trained his pupils."
"Or got rid of them." Jay adds
"Knock it off, guys. If that wasn't you behind the rattling door, who was it?" Cole asks
"The Ghost of Sensei Yang!" They all say except Cole
"As iron sharpens iron, Sensei sharpens student." they hear a voice
"It's the Ghost of Sensei Yang!" they all shout
"Uh, guys, what does he mean by "sharpen?"" Jay asks as he sees the swords on the wall start moving.
"Does this mean he doesn't want to teach us Airjitzu?" Jay questions
"No Jay, I'm sure he would after making us a 6 course meal!" Aria shouts sarcastically
"Move!" Reika yells
The boys run away screaming, the doors shutting behind them.
"Forget Airjitzu, where's the window?" Kai looks around frantically
Cole runs to one "This way!"
They panicky try to open it, but it's locked.
"Gah, we're caged in like animals!" Jay shouts and Yang laughs.
"Argh! Let's try the front door!" Cole suggests
"But that's downstairs, and in case you haven't paid any attention, there's flying weapons trying to slice and dice us!" Kai replies
"THERE'S A DUMBWAITER!" Zane yells as he points behind Jay.
"Hey, watch who you're calling-" Jay looks behind him "oh, a dumbwaiter! That can take us down." The ninja go in the dumbwaiter. "You said there'd be enough room for all four of us in here."
"MY CALCULATIONS ARE ALWAYS CORRECT!" Zane yells
"Wait, what do you mean four?" Kai questions
The ninja all looked behind them to see Aria and Reika missing.
"The girls!" they shouts
Meanwhile the girls were trapped in the dojo, trying to pry the doors open, as Yang laughs.
"Shit," Aria curses "we're gonna become ghosts at this point."
"No thanks to those idiots," Reika huffs
The clock chimes again, making the girls jump.
"You know I'm all for exploring the supernatural, but this is getting out of hand," Reika says
"I agree," Aria says "come on, let's try again."
The girls take hold of the door and pull it until it flies open.
"We did it!" Reika cheers
"Come on let's find those idiots!" Aria runs off with Reika following
Soon enough Aria stops and turns around to see Reika gone.
"Reika!" Aria shouts, looking around "How did I loose her?"
Aria stopped when she saw a flash of light go past her.
"As iron sharpens iron, Sensei sharpens student!" Yang's voice rang out
Aria turns to see a glowing purple orb, it was her father's spirit.
"Ariaaa" it sounded like her father too
"Father.." Aria takes a step back
"Come here, princess." it said again "give me your power!"
"No!" Aria shouts in fear and runs away
The orb chases after her as she ran further into the temple, desperate to find the ninja or Reika.
"It can't be father," Aria pants "he's gone, he's supposed to be dead!"
Aria runs into a corner and falls.
"But that wasn't there," Aria turns to see the orb nearing her, the sound of her father's laugh echoed, terrifying her. Tears fell down her face as it got close "Go away father!"
Aria stood up as her eyes glowed purple "I'm not your puppet!"
The orb faded away and Aria looked surprised.
"As iron sharpens iron, Sensei sharpens student.."
"Aria!"
Aria turned to see Reika down the hall, panting. The girls ran toward each other and hugged.
"I'm so happy you're ok," Reika says before wiping a tear from her eye
"Me too," Aria wiped her own tears as well "come on, let's find the idiots."
The girls run off to find the boys, soon enough they reached near the top of the temple where the ninja were gathered.
"Guys!" Aria ran to them and hugged Kai.
"Aria, sis, you're ok," Kai says before looking over at Reika who ran to hug him too. "Ok, maybe not so much."
"WERE YOU MADE TO FACE YOUR FEARS AS WELL?" Zane asks
"Face our fears?" Reika questions "Is that what that was?"
"No wonder.." Aria mutters
"We just saw Morro," Cole tells them
"Why would he be here?" Reika questions
"Ugh, and he already knows Airjitzu." Jay complains "We don't stand a chance!"
"Wait a minute. If we're all afraid of Morro, this must be the next test." Kai says "And how are we supposed to save Lloyd if we don't even have the courage to face him?"
"He's right." Cole agrees "Let's get him!"
Everyone runs in the direction he went, but the boys are slowed down due to being tied together.
"Tell me why you thought that was a good idea?" Aria asks as she stops ahead of them
They see Morro run past them towards the attic.
"There he is!" Kai shouts, pointing out to him
"All right. Let's step together." Cole instructs the boys as they began following the girls "One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three."
They run in sync until Jay stops at a set of stairs.
Aria and Reika stop mid stairs to look at the boys.
"What's the matter?" Aria asks
"We gotta get him!" Reika adds
"Uh, attics. Definitely near the top of the list of things I'm afraid of." Jay says
They go up and see Morro just standing there, the ninja stood next to the girls.
"He's just standing there. What do we do?" Jay questions
"I don't know. But go face him, Jay." Kai says
"Ugh, you face him!" Jay argues
"Your tied together," Aria comments
"We'll all face him." Cole says
As the group approaches him, Morro disappears, startling them. The ninja jump back and they see Yang.
"As iron sharpens iron, Sensei sharpens student. You have passed the test." Yang says
"Huh? Then you'll teach us how to do Airjitzu?" Kai asks
Yang shows them a scroll "Only those who see things through will reap the benefit of the reward." He gives Cole the Scroll.
"That's not the only thing we see through. Why is it I can see through my hand!?" Jay freaks out
Everyone looks at their arms to see they were all starting to be see through.
"The ghost thing wasn't fake!" Aria shouts
"Now you will join my students." Yang laughs as several ghosts rise up behind him.
"He's not just their mentor, he's their captor." Cole says
"The new dawn's upon us." Yang laughs "Get out of here before the clock's last chime, if you can."
Everyone screams as they run away, the boys fall down the stairs knocking into the girls, bringing them down with them.
"You're all idiots!" Aria complains
"WHY DID WE TIE OURSELVES TOGETHER?!" Zane yells, agreeing with Aria
"There's no time to complain, we just have to move." Cole says and begin directing the ninja as they ran "One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three."
Aria and Reika run ahead of them opening the door quickly. Reika ran through as Aria held open the door, Cole untied himself as the boys ran out. Aria looked back to see the scroll of Airjitsu on the ground.
"Cole leave it!" Aria shouts as the sun began to shine
"I won't!" Cole shouts as he ran towards it "Get out!"
"Cole-"
Cole pushed Aria out the door before running back for the scroll. Aria stood near the temple as the ninja sighed in relief.
"I can see my hand! We made it!" Kai says happily
Jay holds up Cole's end of the rope. "Ugh, but where's Cole?"
Aria watched as Cole came out of the door, as a ghost.
"Cole," Aria says as the ninja turn and gasp
"Don't worry, I got the Scroll!" Cole tells them before looking confused "Why are you all looking at me like that?"
"You didn't make it out in time." Jay says sadly
Kai nods "Yeah, Cole, you're a... a..."
"I'm a.." Cole looks down at his now ghostly self "ghost!"
Yang laughs as the ninja comfort Cole. Aria sighs and looks out at the sun.
"I know it's upsetting Aria," Reika approaches her "I'm sure we'll find a way to fix him."
"That's not all I'm worried about," Aria tells her
"What else?" Reika asks
"If what we saw in there were our fears," Aria turns to her "that means I'm still afraid of my father."
