"And you want to sell the restaurant, not just the lot?" David asked.
"I can't sell the lot, I don't own it." Denise explained. "So yes, the restaurant."
"So whoever buys it will have to continue to rent the lease?"
"W-Well...if they can buy it then maybe they can move it somewhere else. Buy their own building or lot and have it built there."
"Sounds like you're asking for a lot from your buyer."
"No, no, I just...I just really need to sell this. Soon. Please."
"Why is that?" he asked.
She sniffed and looked down at his desk. "I just...I need the money as quickly as possible."
"Right. How much money does your restaurant make in a month?"
"Um...If we stay busy then somewhere around $20,000, but if it's slow then no more than $12,000."
He nodded his head and began writing.
"How much is the lease?"
"About $2,500 a month." she sniffed and nodded.
"Alright." He kept writing.

Denise was close to tears at the thought of the situation and the idea of selling the family owned restaurant. But she was even more hurt by her daughter's abduction. She knew she was an adult but no parent could sit back and watch their child be stripped from them and not do anything about it. She was prepared for Tati to be mad at her when she returns, but there was nothing else she could do. She didn't own the house to sell it. She couldn't sell her car, it wouldn't be enough. The restaurant was her only resort and it crushed her spirit.

"Well, I can help you, but I can't promise this will be a quick sell. It's gonna take someone with a lot of money and a bad spending problem to buy this restaurant."
She sniffed and nodded her head, eyes still wet with tears.
"But we'll do our best, okay?"
"Yes, thank you." she nodded.
She stood up and he held out his hand, the two shook.
"Have a good afternoon, Ms. Waters."
She nodded. "You too." she wiped her cheeks and turned to leave the office with her purse in her arms.

~•~

Tati stood pacing her room with a plastic bag in her hand.
She had an idea.

She'd spent her first night in the room last night but didn't go to sleep. She didn't even lay in the bed. She sat against the door like usual and plotted.

She heard a knock and picked her head up.
"Wake up!"
That wasn't the big guy from yesterday's voice.
She could hear that the door was being unlocked.
"Breakfast time." he said as it started to peel open.
Tati pounced and threw the bag over the man's head as he held her breakfast platter and juice in his hands. She turned him around and pulled it tight, making him lose his balance from the suddenness and both fell to the floor. She put her legs over his arms and kept pulling. Watching him squirm and struggle to breathe through the plastic bag that held her newly bought clothes last night.

"I'm not gonna kill you, I'm just gonna make you sleep for a little while." she told him.

She kept pulling with arms growing tired and he finally stopped fighting.

She kept the bag there as a precaution but checked his pulse. He was still alive.

She slowly eased up.

Breakfast all over the floor along with her spilled juice but he continued to lay there.

She looked out into the hallway.

Then stepped over the unconscious body and started walking towards the elevator. If there was a staircase she could use she would've taken that instead but she couldn't even find it, there was no specially marked door and she didn't want to waste time testing all of them.
"That's a fucking fire hazard." she said quietly.

She stood in front of the elevator and right before she could press the button, it dinged and opened.
She looked at the man in front of her and he just grabbed her arm and began pulling her back.
"Fuck." she huffed, the heels of her slippers sliding against the floor.

She was shoved back into the room and Killian stared at the passed out grown man on her floor with a bag over his head.
Part of him wanted to laugh. He scoffed with a smirk on his face then stepped over the body to walk inside.

He eyed the pancakes, bacon, eggs, and orange juice stain on the floor.
"You're ungrateful." he stated.
"No, I'm a prisoner."
"Prisoners eat."
"If whoever cooked that is part of your little sex trafficking ring then I really don't give a fuck."
"Is that why you think you're here?"
"Is it?"
"No. We don't do that."
He looked at her body again.
"Then why am I here?" she asked.
He stared at the floor in thought. Wondering how she didn't know.
She scoffed. "YOU FUCKING KIDNAPPED ME JUST TO DO IT?!"
He looked in her eyes.
She flinched and looked at the floor.

"I'm gonna come back and you're gonna eat."
"Whatever, asshole. Take your friend out."
He looked back at the body on the floor and chuckled again. Surprised.

He walked over to him and picked him up by his shirt. He dragged him out of the room. Tati watched the door close and listened to him lock it.

"So fucking close." she huffed with hands on her hips. She tried to think of something else.

Killian made it to the lounge and tossed Rodney on the floor.
The rest of them looked at the body.
"What happened to him?" Kanan asked.
"He tried to bring breakfast to the girl."
They all looked at him with expressions of shock.
"She did that?" Teo restated.
"Mm." Killian gave a nod.
They all stared back at Rodney.

Killian chuckled to himself as he remembered the girl's violence and left the room after dropping Rodney off. "Like a stupid little Rottweiler."

~•~

While Killian was on his way back inside the building from getting Tati new breakfast, he ran into Shawn.
"Sir, these are the clothes I got for the girl last night." he stated and held out the bag.
Killian took it.
"Do you...want me to bring it to her instead? I'm sure you're busy, boss."
"No, she'll try to kill you." he explained and walked off.

Shawn's face fell.

Killian stepped into the elevator with one bag of food, a drink, and another bag full of clothes. As much as he appreciated Teo's buys from yesterday, he couldn't let her constantly walk around half naked because she could get sick. And he didn't know how strong her immune system was. Again, if she dies, it ruins everything.

He made it to her floor and got out of the elevator to walk to the door.

His hand found the key and he began to unlock the knob.

He opened it just to see her standing there with her arms crossed.

"Waiting for me?" he teased.
"Die."
He scoffed.

He placed her bag of clothes onto the bed, when you're done eating, try that on.
"What is it, more whore clothes?" she asked.
"Unfortunately no."
She rolled her eyes.

He handed her the food and drink.
"Sit and eat." he instructed.
She just stared at him.
"I'm not leaving until you're done."
She groaned and sat on the floor then began taking her food from the bag, not wanting him to stay even a second longer than he has to.

"Why didn't you sit on the bed?" he asked.
"I'm not sitting or laying down on that shit. Fuck you and your mattress." She opened the platter of French toast and bacon.

"You're lucky I like French toast..." she mumbled and began opening her utensils.

Killian went and stood against the wall to watch her.

"You're gonna make me go bartend today, aren't you?" she asked and took a bite.
"Mhm."
"Can I at least take a fucking shower first?" She looked at him while he stared at the floor.
He looked at her.

She didn't flinch.

His brows furrowed.

"Hello?!" she exclaimed as they held eye contact.
"Yea, you can shower." He looked away again.

There was a knock at the door. Both of them looked at it while Tati continued to chew.

Killian walked over to it and opened the door.

"There was a phone call for you, sir." Hugo stated. "I was told I could find you here."
He looked into Killian's eyes then immediately flinched and looked back down.
Killian noticed and took the phone. He shut the door.

"Hello?" he answered.
"One of the girls quit..." Silas stated.
"What?"
"She said she got groped and it made her uncomfortable. Plus she couldn't handle the men rushing her. So she quit and she left."
Killian looked at Tati as she took a bite of her bacon.
"It's alright. I'm bringin' a new one that I think can handle it."
"Yes, sir."
Killian hung up.
