I had Raphael drop me at my apartment, before he went home. I watched as he drove off, before I entered. I didn't see Magnus. I grabbed my drink and after a long day was left with my thoughts.
"Stella, I love you, mi corazon." Alexnader whispered in my ear.
"I love you too, my angel." I told him.
He gave me that beautiful smile, before spinning me around. I remember being twirled in his arms. It was a day when Magnus was busy with being High Warlock.
I cried, missing my angel. I refilled my drink, continuing every memory I have of him.
"Stella, do you think I will make a good Institute Head?" He asked.
"I do. You are such a protective and loyal person, Alexander, that I know you will have the best interest for your people and the downworlders." I told him.
I want to scream. Yell. Do something. But I can't. So, I just slowly released all my anger in a simple breath.
"Stella!" I heard Magnus yell.
"In here." I told him.
He walked into the living room to see me with my drink.
"My love, I have some news." He said.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"I have my magic." He told me, showing me his magic.
"Magnus, that's amazing, but how?" I couldn't help but ask.
"My father returned them. Also, he is on land, now." He said.
"Asmodeus is here!" Magnus and I yelled.
"What!?" I shouted.
"It's okay. I'll deal with it." he told me.
"Alright. I'm so happy for you my kitty cat." I told him.
"Thank you, my star." He whispered.
"For what?" I asked.
"Always being by my side." He told me.
"Always, my love." I told him.
"Now, I must deal with my father, I shall call you soon." He told me.
"Okay. Promise me you'll be safe." I told him.
"I will." He said, portaling away.
I couldn't help but smile, but it soon disappeared.
Why did Asmodeus give Magnus his magic back? I thought.
"I have a point. He wouldn't have taken it from you, just to give it back without reason." I told Magnus.
I kept thinking of reasons why, when I remember a certain scene.
I continued wondering. Magnus. Asmodeus. Magic. What happened during this time.
Alexander! I thought.
Oh no. It makes sense.
Alexander must have made a deal with Asmodeus. Break up with Magnus, he gets his magic back. It all makes sense. My stupid Shadowhunter, always being selfless.
"Alexander, you idiot!" I yelled at him. "How could you just go and make a deal like that!" I yelled furious, marching to him. "You made us suffer." I told him.
"I'm sorry, Stella. But even I know, I would do anything for you and Magnus to be happy." He told me, pulling me into a hug.
Before I could think any further, I heard a knock.
I opened the door, seeing - "Maryse."
"Stella, we need to talk." She told me
"Come in." I invited "What is this about?" I asked her having a feeling I knew.
"Alexander. He made a deal with Asmodeus to have Magnus keep his magic. That day when you were supposed to have dinner, he was going to propose to y'all. He was going to give Magnus the Lightwood ring and he made a necklace for you." she told me.
"I/He was going to propose!" Everyone yelled.
I couldn't believe, Alexander was going to marry us.
"It's gorgeous." I said, looking at the necklace.
I gasped. I didn't know he was going to propose. And that necklace. Alexander always knew what I liked. And he made it.
"I didn't know he was going to propose. I just figured it out about the deal. Maryse, I need to fix this. Wait, does Magnus know?" I asked her.
"I was on my way to tell him." She told me.
"Alright, let's go, then. Wait, there's something I need to do." I told her.
"I'll tell Magnus." She told me.
I nodded, watching as she walks away before grabbing my spell book.
Ring spell. Found it!
"That's gorgeous, Stella." Isabelle told me.
"Thank you." I told her.
"Perfect." I told myself.
I grabbed my necklace putting it on, before portaling to Magnus magic.
"Stella, I sent Asmodeus to limbo. I also know about the proposal." he told me showing me the lightwood ring.
"Maryse told me as well. I'm sorry." I told him, knowing how he must feel.
"No, I'm sorry. If it wasn't for me, we would still have Alexander." He told me.
Before I could say anything, I felt the number of demons.
"I feel it. That's Alicante." I told him.
"Stella, we must go. Alexander needs us." Magnus told me.
I opened a portal, before we stepped into the chaos of Alicante.
"Our home." The shadowhunters said, as they saw the chaos.
Demons everywhere. Shadowhunter's being taken and killed.
"This way!" Magnus screamed.
I followed him as he led the way. I came to a halt next to Magnus, to see demons coming straight towards Alexander and Isabelle. Before they got to close, Magnus and I fired our magic decimating them.
"Sorry we're late." I told them.
"Traffic was hell." Magnus said afterwards.
Alexander grabbed our hands leading us inside, towards a room.
"You both can't be here." He told us.
"I can't be anywhere else." Magnus told him.
"No, you don't understand. We all can't be together--" Alexander started explaining.
"Asmodeus can't come between us again. We know about the deal. And why you did what you did. It's... it's okay. I..." I was telling him before he kissed me.
"Get it, Alec." Jace said.
"Shut it, Jace." Isabelle told him as Alexander flushed.
I kissed back with as much emotion as I could. He pulled away, before pulling Magnus into the same kiss. They pulled away from each other as Jace and Clary joined us.
"Where's the sword?" alexander asked them as I continued killing the demons.
"Johnathan destroyed it." Clary told us.
"We can't close the rift." Jace said.
"Y'all better think of something quick. More demons keep coming out." I told them, firing more of my magic towards them. Suddenly, there was an explosion. One of the demon towers has fallen.
"This is it, isn't it?" Isabelle asked, sounding scared.
I stopped firing my magic, walking towards Magnus. I know what I have to do, but before I could say anything, Magnus spoke up.
"My father told me about... a way to increase my power." he told us.
I could feel Magnus get super eerily calm as we watched.
"Enough to close the rift?" Isabelle asked.
"Potentially, yes... the strength I would need to pull it off... can only come from one place." Magnus explained.
I could only think of one place.
"No!" I screamed.
"Edom?" Isabelle asked.
"Magnus, don't." Alexander told him as he moved next to us.
"We can only fight them off for so long. The demons will keep coming back unless we seal the rift. it's the only way to keep you all safe." Magnus said.
"Magnus, no. Let me do it. I can handle Edom. My love." I cried out.
"Magnus, you can't. There's something I had to do, there's something I had to say--" Alexander started telling us.
"We know." Magnus told him.
"Needless to say, you forgot something back in New York." I told him, before showing them the lightwood ring. I moved my magic again making my protection ring appear.
"And one more." Magnus said, making one more engagement ring appear.
"It's gorgeous, Mags." I told him.
"I'm glad." he told me.
"You all propose!" Clary screamed.
"Alexander made you an engagement necklace. I wanted to give you a ring." he told me.
I could only hold back my tears.
"Alexander Gideon Lightwood... Stella Diamondas... will y'all marry me?" Magnus asked us.
I watched as Alexander grabbed Magnus ring first. "Only if y'all will marry me too." He said.
He placed the ring on Magnus, before Magnus grabbed my ring placing it on my hand. I grabbed the last ring, placing it delicately on Alexanders finger.
We all smiled at each other.
"I love y'all." Alexander told us.
"I love you too, Alexander, Stella." Magnus told us.
"I love y'all, too." I told them.
Magnus was about to pull me into a kiss, before we heard an explosion. Magnus walked towards the balcony. I grabbed Alexander's hand for comfort.
Magnus summoned a portal to Edom.
"It's only Edom. You always come back." Alexander told him.
"Never thought I'd be a runaway groom." Magnus told us.
I couldn't help but laugh.
"Do we ever get a happy moment together?" I asked.
I could only cry, watching as he disappeared into the portal. Alexander and I walked towards the balcony, crying for the loss of our love. I cried and cried, for Magnus to be okay. To come back. Alexander just held onto me tighter. I knew he was crying from the wetness I felt.
I soon felt comforting hands on me and recognized them as Isabelle's and Jace's hands. I looked up, to see the rift closing. I just pushed my face into Alexander's chest.
