Two weeks later…
"Any news yet?" Mikey asked, swinging into the medical room of where six individuals lay. It was a private room owned by Tigerclaw.
"Nope, their still asleep Mike" Donnie stated looking down at the bed holding Raphael, the hothead of their group still unconscious from over exerting himself.
On the other beds lay Aruma, Akio, Dantzer, Shinigami and April. None of them had moved after the explosion of powers. Now they all lay in medical beds in the Claw Clan's huts. For hours on end, everyone changed shifts over all individuals hoping to the gods, they would wake up. Ikkou wasn't religious but he prayed to the gods every night to make sure his twin would wake. Dantzer was another story, he had shapeshifted into his fox form and hadn't moved from under Akio's bed since he crawled under there.
Another week passed before one of them even began to twitch, Shinigami couldn't help but groan as she sat up only to see concerned faces staring back.
"Karai?"
"Shini!"
Karai wasted no time in wrapping the one she loved up in her arms. Shinigami smiled, hugging back just as another in the room she shared woke up.
"Red!" Casey's cry of happiness had Karai turning to see April waking up, she was immediately swarmed by friends and family while Rockwell did a few medical tests on her before moving to do the same with Shinigami.
"I'm glad you're awake, how do you feel?" Leatherhead asked.
"Tired, how's dad?" Shinigami replied, confusing them all.
"Dad? Shini, I thought you didn't know who your parents were?" Karai replied. looking at Saki like he had a clue.
"I didn't...Akio is my dad" Shinigami said with a smile, Karai only nodded. While Oroku Saki sighed, he left the room intending on checking on his brother when a roar from Tigerclaw caught his attention.
He turned to enter the room only to find that Tigerclaw had Dantzer against the wall holding his throat, the fox didn't even fight back. Dantzer had dropped back into his human form, he looked sick but he remained silent.
"I don't care who you are. Stay the hell away from Aruma!" Tigerclaw roared again in anger as he threw Dantzer aside, the assassin barely managed to land on his feet.
"Tigerclaw, let me wake him!"
"No! You have done enough!" Tigerclaw roared, Aruma was moving under his grip just not much. Alopex glared at Dantzer, she had a blade ready but Dantzer needed to wake Aruma before he slipped into the darkness.
"What is going on here!"
"Stay out of this Saki! Keep your brother away from us and…ack!" Tigerclaw found himself shoved aside as an orb soon slammed into Aruma's chest sending a power like no other into the tiger's chest. Tigerclaw glared as he scratched Dantzer sharply with his summoned claws. The fox didn't care as he slipped out of the room just as Aruma woke with a startling gasp.
Oroku Saki frowned, he left the room intending on finding Dantzer when the sound of cheers had him turning back to see Raphael awake and in Leo's arms. Their daughter in Mikeys.
"Raphael?"
"Father"
Saki wasted no time in wrapping his son up, Raphael clung to him. As the two held one another, a glow happened between the two as their connection sealed and…
"Woah! Raph, your hair" Donnie exclaimed, Raph pulled back only to sigh when Leo directed his face to a mirror. His black hair had disappeared completely, instead he had blond hair again with red at the ends. He froze slightly seeing emerald eyes staring back at him, a glint of red in them.
"Still as beautiful as ever" Leo's whisper had him blushing as Saki could only smile at his son's predicament. To stop himself from blushing, Raph punched Leo who only chuckled.
"You're awake! Slash!" Casey's cry followed by running footsteps revealed Raphael's older brother. Slash appeared only to pass Saki who moved out the way allowing the two to reunite, Slash pulled Raphael close cursing him out silently while the hothead just laughed.
"Alright, off. Pass Leah"
The command from the hothead of their group was certainly heard as several individuals laughed but complied knowing Raphael would hurt them all within a blink of an eye if they kept him from his daughter any longer.
"Is everyone awake?" April asked, coming into the room only to be pulled into multiple hugs. Raph smirked at her leaning further into Leo who held him tightly.
"No, Akio is still asleep," Saki said with a grim expression. April frowned, she caught a glimpse of Ikkou in Akio's room.
"I'm gathering Ikkou hasn't left his side?" Raph spoke up, he received silence in return, it answered the question.
"Is Shinigami awake? Dantzer?" Raphael called out, he rubbed his eyes as he passed Leah to Donnie who took her. He was aware he was only wearing joggers but he moved to get out of bed.
"They are but you should be resting"
Raph only rolled his eyes, he climbed to his feet with them all watching, "April, get Shinigami and Aruma. Meet me in Akio's room, Leo, a little help".
"Raph, you should be resting"
"I know but if we don't wake Akio now, we potentially lose him, considering it's been three weeks…yes, I heard Donnie earlier" Raph bluntly put it, stealing Leo’s hoodie to wear for the time being.
Leo could only sigh at his stubborn mate who was soon helped down the corridor. The two entered Akio's room only to find the man in none of his armour, his unique blond hair had bits of navy and purple in it while he had bandages across his pale skin covering his eyes. Ikkou looked up at their approach, he was maskless holding tightly to his twin's hand, the same twin he felt slipping away, his twins fox was dying.
"What do you want?" Ikkou turned to them all only to gasp as his nephew's eyes were glowing. Saki reached forward pulling Ikkou back, his brother didn't say anything as Raph made his way to Akio's side, Shinigami opposite him while Aruma took up Raphs other side and April opposite him.
"I can't find Dantzer," Casey called out from the doorway.
"He's under the bed" Ikkou said softly, Saki nodded as he kneeled to see his youngest brother curled up with terrified eyes.
"Can we wake him without Dantzer?" April turned to ask Raph who shook his head. Ikkou was confused about what was going on.
"Ikkou, you try. He's not responding to any of us" Saki stated, turning to his brother who nodded, kneeling beside the bed only to sigh. Dantzer was tucked in the back corner, Ikkou didn't say anything but he did sign a few words which got Dantzer moving. The assassin slowly came out from under the bed as Ikkou helped him out. He switched forms in a blink of an eye as he avoided everyone's looks. He pulled his hood up over his unique silver hair as he stood at the bottom of the bed.
Raphael smiled at his uncle who remained impassive as they all summoned the orbs that Akio had originally given them.
"What do we do?" Shinigami asked only for Aruma to make a silent symbol. A feeling like no other passed through each of them as they felt the power flowing through their bodies.
Leo watched with concern as Raph swayed slightly on his feet as he placed the orb he had in the centre. Raphael's eyes closed while he focused to keep the orb afloat, Dantzer moved slightly using his own powers to bear the burden as the test of the orbs came together and a blinding light followed making many of them look away.
Once the light died down, Ikkou found himself being pushed forward slightly as he took his nephews place at his twins side as a hand clasped loosely to his own. Ikkou's eyes widened seeing that Akio was awake. No longer able to hold himself up, Raphael slumped back only to be caught by his mother, Aruma was hardly standing on his own two feet as he held tightly to the bed frame to keep the two of them up.
Shinigami had already slumped into the bed, Karai had grabbed her while April had been caught by Casey. Moving swiftly over to his mate, Leo managed to take Raph from Aruma who nodded in thanks. The older man moved to talk to Dantzer when he took notice of the fact that the fox had literally vanished, somehow he had managed to slip past them all without being noticed. Aruma frowned but allowed Tigerclaw to guide him back to a place of rest, the two passed Alopex who smiled sadly at them as she continued down one of the corridors.
For once in his lifetime, Oroku Saki found himself genuinely smiling as he watched his family relax all under one roof, he knew Dantzer was somewhere in the building, over time he would reappear but he knew his brother needed time, he had lost too much and needed time to take in it all. Which he was sure he would give once the 'wonder' twins as Hamato Yoshi had nicknamed them years ago, were reunited.
