Before we begin...I want to first apologize for starting so late, but I ended up getting distracted; and then I did some planning. But now, I'm back and ready to start writing for you guys on the day of the Season Finale (with Matt Casey!) God, I am so happy that he's back; and I just hope that, based on where things are going right now...that he's going to stay. Listen, I get that this is going to be happily ever after for all those Brettsey fans. But this has to mean that Jesse's going to stay, right? Maybe they can send Kelly to Oregon? By the way, I need to know what the hell is going on with him; and if Taylor's leaving, then Jesse has to come back. Send Kelly to Oregon! But now, we are not here to discuss the finale (we can do that tomorrow; and in fact, I may even post an entire part dedicated to the finale). But right now, I am going to do what we all want to do. And that's get back to the story. Enjoy my dear readers.

Now this was exactly what Matt and Gabby wanted to be doing right now, cuddling up as a family; with their sons both sitting in their lap while they just relax with them. I mean, what could be better than this? Mama, Papa, Matteo, and Noah; all cuddled up together in bed, as they relax and hold each other close for the first time in forty-eight hours (maybe even sixty hours). Because that's how long the duo have been gone. They went to work on Thursday, spent all of Friday alone at home; and then they spent most of the day alone today, so that has to be close to sixty hours. But now, they were no longer alone; and that was due to the fact that Matt and Gabby were back home, with Matteo and Noah. And the parents could both tell that they were extremely happy as they sat down in bed with them, while also getting some food. More specifically, some baby food; and that was due to the fact that they hoped that they could have them all fed, prior to them going downstairs for a family dinner; which he was actually thinking about inviting Kelly and Stella to. After all, they are basically their brothers and sisters; and they both know that they want to spend more time with them, right now.
And he actually thinks that they are here at the office right now, due to the fact that they had to take care of the work yesterday; and Kelly is also going to be in charge next week, or he was due to the fact that they were thinking of working from him. So, Kelly was going to be here to make sure that things are okay when it comes to Casey Fire; and Stella was going to do the same, but for ELLA. But that's not what Matt needs to think about right now, as he needs to instead think about how he's going to try and talk to Gabby about this; because it's not like he can really just say it out of the blue without confusing Gabby, as that's exactly what would happen if he did decide to do it that way. But still, what do you say he just brings it up. "So, listen, I am just thinking about something right now." Turning her head, Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "Oh, and what would that be?" Taking a breath, Matt just looked at his wife. "Listen, I know that we said today is going to be family dinner night." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that. "And then we would also spend time with family after supper." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was their plans.
"Unless you want to change it, and just have it be us and the boys after supper?" Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby say that, because that's not at all what he was thinking about; it was the exact opposite actually, because there was something else that he wanted to do. And that was that he wanted to invite somebody here for supper, which you already know about. "Oh, I am not thinking that way at all. I can promise you that." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, clearly able to see that was the case. "Okay, then what are you talking about baby? Because I'm a bit lost with what you're trying to talk to me about right now." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling as he looked down at Matteo while he started to play with his shirt; at the same time, he bent down and kissed the top of his head. "God, you really need to stop growing Matteo. God, already eight months and you are already so big. Daddy can't handle it." Smiling as she heard Matt say that, Gabby just snickered as she knew that the boys were just going to keep growing. "Get used to the growing Matt, it's not going to stop." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before turning to look at his girl.
"Oh, I am well aware that's going to be the case. However, that's not what I want to talk about right now; as I would much rather talk to you about something else that's currently on my mind." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, as she was more than okay with them talking about whatever he needs to talk about. "And what's that baby?" Smiling at the woman he loves, Matt smirked. "Well, I was just thinking. Listen, I get that this is a family dinner; and I know that they aren't technically family..." Gabby snickered as she heard Matt say that. "You want to invite Will and Natalie, so they don't have to eat alone? And so you can talk to them afterwards?" Matt was shocked as he heard Gabby say that, as that was the last think that he wanted to do; because those are not the people that he was thinking of inviting. "Oh, I am not talking about them; I can promise you that baby." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Okay, then who were you thinking of inviting?" Matt smiled at his gorgeous wife as she asked him who he was thinking of inviting. "Well, I have a feeling that you might like this idea." Gabby was confused, and a bit annoyed.
Annoyed that he was trying to be coy with her, and not just coming right out and just telling her who he wants to invite. "Okay, can you please stop being so damn annoying? Just tell me for crying out loud, because I truly am starting to get annoyed with all of the guessing that you make me do Matt. I mean, who are you..." Matt smiled at his beautiful wife as she asked him that, ready to answer her question for her. "Okay, take a breath first and just relax baby." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware of the fact that she does need to keep relaxing; especially since she's still pregnant with the girls and will continue to be pregnant with the girls for another three months. So, that's why she just agreed with her husband and went ahead to take some breaths (as he asked her to do). But now that she was calm and did some breathing; she wanted some answers from him, about just what he was talking about. And more specifically, just WHO he was talking about. Because if he wasn't talking about Will and Natalie, then who was he talking about?
"Okay, if you aren't talking about Will and Natalie; then just who are you talking about Matt?" Smiling at his beautiful wife as she asked him who he was talking about, Matt smirked as he went to grab her hand so that she can relax and just take it easy right now; after all, that's what she needs to do. And it's also why he's here for her, so that he can help her relax the entire time that they sit together; and whether that be here in bed, or downstairs in the living room...that will always be his job, one that he's more than ready and willing to do for the woman he loves. "Okay, you calm now?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was calm, having just done some breathing for the man she loves. "Yes, I'm calm now. But can you please give me an answer to my question?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him whether he can give her an answer to her question, which is exactly what he plans on doing right now; answering her question and letting her know just who he was thinking of inviting to supper today.
"I was thinking, because today we're going to be having a family dinner." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most certainly is the case. "Oh, is your sister here in Hawaii? Why didn't you let me..." Matt shook his head as Gabby asked him whether his sister was in Hawaii, as that was not who he wanted to invite either. "No, my sister isn't in Hawaii; and she isn't the person I'm thinking of inviting either." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling at her husband as she tried to figure out just who he wants to invite to family dinner. "I was thinking of inviting Kelly and Stella to family dinner." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, because that most certainly was something that she really liked the idea of. Them having family dinner with their friends, whom are really like siblings to them. "I thought about it, and we both know that Kelly and Stella are not just our friends; but they are our brother and sister, because that's the type of relationship that we have with them." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as she agrees completely with his sentiment that Kelly and Stella are not just their friends; but they're family, and deserved to be here with them.
"And honestly, I think that they need to be here, as they're family, and we need to spend some more time with them." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling due to the fact that she really liked that idea. "Specifically, more time as friends; right?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that was exactly what he was thinking; he wanted to spend time with Kelly as his friend, and just have fun. "No offence, but I think it will also help us calm down; because we both agreed that's something that we want to do anyways, and it means that we can do something was friends." Gabby smirked as she heard Matt say that, before looking at the man she loves. After which, she leaned in and proceeded to kiss him softly; however, it turned out that Noah didn't especially like that feeling, as he was more interested in cuddling up to Gabby (with his head on her breast). Turning her head to look at Noah as he cried out a bit, Gabby shook her head. "Really Noah? Can't you let mommy kiss daddy at times?" Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that, before moving to lean over her; which he has the ability to do much easier, as well as kiss the woman he loves more than anything. "I love you."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling as she proceeded to kiss him softly once again. "What do you say we ask my mom first if there's going to be enough food for us to invite our friends over?" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, watching as his beautiful wife went to grab their phone. "But first, let's finish feeding the boys; then we can just cuddle, or we can even set them up with some toys for a bit." Gabby shook her head. "Not a chance. I am going to call my mom though." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before watching as she proceeded to call her mom on her phone; after which, she put the call on speakerphone so that she could set her phone down on their bed. That way, they would both be able to participate in the conversation equally.

It didn't take her mother long to answer the phone, as she was just downstairs; heck, the parents were even able to hear her ringtone because of how loud it was. And that was something that they were going to talk to her about, but not right now. As right now, they are going to concentrate on just asking her something; which was whether or not she was okay with the two of them inviting their friends over to join them for supper, the friends that they consider a part of their family. "Hi Matt and Gabby, is everything okay up there?" Hearing that it was his mom that actually answered the phone, Matt was a bit confused. "Sorry mom, did we call the wrong number?" Nancy laughed as she heard her son say that, before answering their question. "No, your mom just has a bunch of flour on her hands; and she's going to wash it off, she's started to cook Christmas cookies, if you forgot. And she's making some for desert tonight." Gabby smiled as she heard her mother-in-law say that, because she loves that idea. "Please ask her to leave some extra."
Nancy agreed with her daughter-in-law as she said that, because that's already something that her mother was going to do. "She's already going to do that for you Gabby." Gabby agreed. "Thank god. But listen, me and Matt are just calling because we wanted to ask her a question. Is she nearby?" Nancy agreed. "Of course, let me just put you on speakerphone." Going to do just that for the married couple, Nancy went ahead and told them that they now had the ability to speak to Camila. "You can speak to your mom now Gabby?" That's when they heard her speak to them first. "Is everything okay Mija?" Gabby agreed with her mother. "Everything's fine mama. We're just wondering whether we can invite our friends, who we see as brother and sister to our family dinner; I mean, if that's okay, and we have enough food?" Camila laughed as she heard her daughter say that. "Mija, I already expected this question. And I know you like leftovers, so I made two lasagnas. The more people, the better." Matt was shocked as he heard Camila say that.
"That's too much Camila." Camila laughed. "Honestly, it isn't. Please, just let me do my think and let me spoil you guys." Gabby agreed with her mom as she said that, as she was not going to complain that she was being spoiled. "Hey, you aren't going to hear me complain that I'm being spoiled." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Of course you aren't." Turning her head, Gabby went ahead and slapped his arm. "HEY! I'm holding Matteo." Gabby just glared at her husband as he said that, because she didn't want to hear that. "Love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before watching as he leaned in and kissed her softly. "Love you too." Camila just laughed as she heard her daughter and son-in-law say that they love each other, before getting back to the topic at hand. "I will make sure to set up two more place settings, as well as get two more plates out. If they aren't coming then let me know." Matt agreed with Camila as she said that. "I promise, I will Camila." Camila agreed with Matt.
After which, they all went ahead and proceeded to hang up on the call; after all, they did already accomplish everything that was needed to be done for them to get on the same page. Now, they just needed to talk to Kelly and Stella about whether they want to come over. "Do you want to make the call? Or would you rather I make the call?" Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that. "You already have your phone out." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before proceeding to make the call to his best friend.

Casey Headquarters – 24th Floor: Home of Kelly & Stella Severide
The boys were currently fast asleep in their nursery, which meant that the parents had a bit of time to spend with each other; time where they can just be together, watch TV and relax. And that was exactly what Mr. and Ms. Severide were in the midst of doing, as they used Matt's NHL Center Ice subscription to watch some Blackhawk Games. Games that they miss watching from home, as they no longer have the ability to watch them live; nor do they have the ability to watch them on local TV, because of stupid blackout rules. Even if they wanted to watch them live, using NHL Center Ice; they can't because they can only watch the Los Angeles games. It's stupid, and he doesn't like it. So, the only way for him to watch games is to watch them delayed; and his wife knew that it bothered him. "I know, you hate the fact that you need to watch these games delayed." Kelly agreed with Stella as she said that. "I mean, we're in Hawaii. We should be able to choose our own team, and watch it during the live broadcast; especially when it's earlier."
Stella agreed with Kelly as he said that, before looking up at him. "Then again, there's also a benefit to it." Kelly was confused as he heard Stella say that. "And what benefit would that be?" Smirking, Stella ran her hand down her muscular husband's toned, shirtless chest. "We can make it a date night. When the games are done on TV, we can watch them on Center Ice." Kelly smirked as he heard Stella say that, as he most definitely does like that idea. "Well, I do like that idea." Bending down, he smirked as he went ahead and started to kiss the woman he loves; who just so happens to also be the woman he's craving attention from right now, and whom he wants to have sex with. But unfortunately, it seems like someone doesn't want that to happen; and that was due to the fact that someone just had to call them right now, which led Kelly to turn his head and look at his phone. And god, was he mad at just who was calling him. "God, I hate this guy." Stella looked up at Kelly as he said that. "Who do you hate?" Turning his head, Kelly sighed.
"It's Matt." Stella laughed, understanding why he wasn't happy. "Might be business related." Kelly groaned, before going to answer his phone. "You sure have bad timing, because I'm currently in bed; watching a Blackhawks game with Stella, a game the Blackhawks won." Matt laughed as he heard his best friend say that. "Sorry man, guess you don't want to come have some Dawson Family Lasagna?" Kelly was shocked as he heard Matt say that. "Sorry, did you just say Dawson Family Lasagna?" Looking up at her husband, Stella smirked. "Are they inviting us for supper?" Turning his head, Kelly smiled. "Put us on speakerphone Kelly. I heard Stella, and I know she's there." Agreeing with Gabby as she said that, Kelly went ahead and put her on speakerphone. "You're on speaker Gabby." Gabby agreed with Kelly. "Why you didn't put us on speaker right away is not something I like, but whatever. Hey Stella." Stella agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Call my phone next time girl! I'm not as useless as my husband." Turning his head, Kelly was shocked.
"She isn't wrong Kelly." Kelly groaned. "Be lucky that you're married to my boss, and best friend; and that we need you on New Year's Eve!" Matt laughed as he heard Kelly say that. "Well, we could always talk about that; while we also provide you with a fresh meal that you guys can enjoy?" Stella smiled as she heard Matt say that. "Let me guess, this is you guys calling to invite us to family dinner?" Matt agreed with Stella as she said that. "Yes, and we checked that there would be enough food for you. Bring the kids, and we can hang out afterwards. Our boys need to get to know each other some more and play together." Gabby agreed. "Just make sure that you guys feed them before you come upstairs, because then they can play with our sons." Stella agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that was a good idea. "I like that idea." Kelly agreed with that. "Me too. Maybe we can even ask one of your moms to watch them, and we can all take a swim after supper?" Matt laughed. "We'll see. Depends on how tired Gabby is after supper." Stella agreed.
"Of course, Matt." Matt then went to add something. "By the way, no work. It's still our anniversary weekend!" Stella agreed with Matt, but she also knew that wasn't true; which was why she snickered. "Yeah, we'll see how long that sticks." Gabby laughed as she heard Stella say that, as she was thinking the exact same way. "Girl, I was thinking the same way!" Stella laughed as she heard gabby say that, well aware that was the case. "Listen, we'll be upstairs soon. Can we get the code?" Matt agreed with Stella as she asked him that. "It's CASEY or 22739." Stella thought about it, and just agreed. "Right, that makes sense. See you guys soon!" Gabby agreed with Stella as she said that, before going to hang up; at the same time, Stella went to get out of bed so that she could get ready. "Hey, where are you going? We still have a bit of time before we have to leave, they're feeding their twins!" Stella looked at her husband as he said that. "And we don't have to feed Kyle and Stephen?" Kelly agreed with Stella as she said that, well aware that was the case.
"Right." Laughing a bit, Stella walked away so that she could go get Stephen; after all, she always feeds Stephen. But you know what, she just changed her mind. She wants to feed Kyle today. So, she walked up to his crib. Seeing her do that, Kelly was confused. "Kyle?" Turning her head, Stella agreed. "You always feed him. My turn today." Kelly agreed with his wife as she said that, well aware that he isn't to question what she says. After which, he watched as she went ahead and picked Stephen up out of his crib; at the same time, Kelly went ahead and grabbed a bottle for Stephen. After all, he needs to use it to feed Stephen; because he doesn't have the ability to create breastmilk, like Stella does. But rather than carry it all the way to the crib, pick up Stephen, and then go to bed to feed him; he instead made his way over to his side table, and set it down first. After which, he made his way over to Stephen's crib so that he could pick him up in his arms. "Hey buddy, you ready to get some quality time with me?" Kelly then went to pick Stephen up, and smiled.
And boy did Stella love to see that smile, because it was the smile of a proud father of their two-month old twins. "You like being a dad so far Kelly?" Kelly agreed with Stella as she asked him that, as he loves being a dad. "Best job that I've ever had." Stella smirked as she heard Kelly say that, before watching as he made his way back over to their bed; that way, he could join her once more ahead of them going upstairs, so that they could spend some time with Matt, Gabby, and their family.
