"Byeee, I love y'all" I said walking out the room.
"We love you too, be safe." Dee said.
I walked out the door and got in the passenger seat of Khi's car. "Hey, sexyyyy." I smirked and gave him a kiss.
"Wassup, ma." He said while shifting gears.
"Why you pick me up? I was having fun." I said rolling my eyes.
"Moni, stop trynna act like shit normal right now. We got real issues." He looked at me with a serious face. "This pregnancy shit been on my mind heavy after watching that nigga get shot. You don't need to be around that shit."
The remainder of the car ride was filled with heavy silence. We pulled in his driveway and he got out the car making sure to slam the door behind him. DAMN BITCH. I slowly got out and walked into the house.
"What's wrong with him?" Teresa asked. Omg bitch not now...
"I don't know." I shrugged before walking into his room. He was sitting on the edge of his bed getting ready to smoke the wood on his dresser.
"Bae, I'm sorry." I said sitting beside him and rubbing his back.
"Nah, cus why you don't wanna talk about it? Just keep it a buck. Ion wanna get my hopes up." He looked at me then looked back down sparking the blunt.
"I'm going to book an appointment with my OBGYN now." I reached down for my phone and dialed the number.
"Dr. Tracy Forrest speaking, how may I help you today?"
"Hi, I was calling to schedule an appointment."
"What's your name?"
"Kheumoni Brown. I just found out I was pregnant."
"Congratulations, Kheumoni. Can you come in tomorrow at 12 PM?"
"Yes, I can."
"Alright, I have you down. I'll see you soon!"
"Thank you!"
"No problem."
I hung up and looked over to see Khi smiling. "You wanna have a nigga baby, huh?" He laughed.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed a towel and a rag to take a shower.

I looked up from my phone when I heard Moni yell my name. "Coming bae."
I walked into the bathroom and I saw her curled over the toilet. "I shouldn't be throwing up this early in my pregnancy." She mumbled before wiping her mouth.
"How you feeling now?" I asked while rubbing her back.
"Just nauseous." She said holding her head down on the toilet.
"Bruh, get up. Ima get you a bucket." I said before turning the shower off and going into the kitchen.
"What's wrong?" Dukes asked.
"She throwing up for whatever reason. She said it's too early to be throwing up or sum shit." I shrugged my shoulders.
"Watch ya mouf', i'm coming in there." She said getting off the couch.
I grabbed a trash can and lined it with a walmart grocery bag. Shii this'll be good
I followed behind my ma as she went into the bathroom. Moni was trying to stand up, so I quickly placed the bucket down and helped her.
"The water was too hot. The steam probably gave you a headache and made you nauseous, that's why your so weak. When your pregnant, everything is damn near a trigger." Ma said shaking her head. She helped me guide her to the bed.
"Have you told your mother?" Ma asked Moni.
"No... she's asking me when i'm coming home. I'm so scared." Moni's voice trembled.
"It's okay, how about we tell her tomorrow?" Ma suggested.
"I made my ob appointment for 12." She said.
"That's even better, maybe she'll want to go despite her being upset. That's even IF she'll be mad. You'll be just fine, love." Ma rubbed her leg then walked out the room.
Moni looked at me before laying on her side and closing her eyes. I kissed her forehead before walking to the bathroom and grabbing the bucket to place beside her. Then I walked out the house and sat in my car.
I did this when I needed a break from reality fr. Sometimes shit just be getting to me, but I can't even show my emotions because "i'm a man." Shit crazy.
I turned my car on before connecting to the bluetooth and turning on some music.

I leaned my seat back and inhaled the smoke. Watching as the car fogged up when I exhaled. Slowly getting less tense and sinking into the seat. I closed my eyes and pictured a perfect life. One where I didn't have to hide how I felt, or pretend to be good.
