"Sylvie just applied for a job on the Chicago Sales Team that we're creating." -Gabby Casey
He thought that we was dreaming, he did not just hear what Gabby just said; he did not just hear the Sylvie Brett just applied for a job with his company, which she very much knows that he doesn't want her anywhere near. He even said so a year earlier, when she crashed their vow renewal; but now, he needs to make sure that this is not happening. He needs to make sure that his sales team doesn't even think about hiring her, which is the entire reason why he just grabbed his phone so that he could call Catherine Connor, the senior sales representative in the Chicago-Kenosha-Milwaukee Sales District. But he was not going to let it happen under any circumstances, and he was going to make sure that Catherine knows that. Putting his phone up to his ear as he continued to make the French toast for him and Gabby, Matt took a breath as he waited for her to answer; but luckily for him, he's not going to have to whisper during this conversation. And that's due to the fact that Gabby headed up to bed, where she needs to be.
She needs to be there so that she can breathe, and so that she doesn't get overwhelmed while overhearing everything that he's going to say to Catherine. He just hopes that she answers this Saturday, which she should because he's her boss. And luckily for him, she just answered. "Good morning Mr. Casey. I'm a bit surprised to see you calling me on a Saturday." Matt agreed with Catherine as she said that, well aware that was the case; but he also knew that he needed to concentrate on this call right now, rather than the breakfast. So, he decided to turn the burner down so that he could make sure that the Sylvie doesn't get a job. "I know, but there's a reason for that. And unfortunately, this call is going to be business." Catherine agreed with her boss as he said that, well aware that was the case. "And I wouldn't expect anything less, especially since you're my boss. Is everything okay with the sales numbers I sent you recently Mr. Casey? I believe they were accurate." Matt agreed with Catherine as she said that, well aware that was the case.
"Oh, it's not that Catherine; you are doing great, and I really want you to keep working on that deal with the CFD Academy. The ELLA deal of course, because I would definitely love to tell my wife that she has a new deal with them." Catherine agreed with her boss as he said that, well aware that would be the case. "Well, I plan on definitely pursuing that deal per your orders. But now, I am going to have to ask; just why exactly are you calling me the day after your anniversary?" Matt snickered as he heard Catherine say that, glad that she was aware of the fact that yesterday was their third anniversary. "Happy Anniversary of course Mr. Casey, please share the same wishes with Ms. Casey." Matt agreed with Catherine, smiling. "I will do just that. But I'm actually calling to you about a recent applicant for a Sales Representative job." Catherine agreed. "Oh, you got my message about how I like her a lot. Sylvie Brett? God, she knows her stuff and..." Interrupting Catherine, Matt proceeded to tell her. "You will under no circumstances hire her for the job."
Catherine was a bit taken aback when she heard those orders come from the CEO, but that didn't mean that she wasn't going to follow them; after all, that's part of her job. She's to follow his orders, and she's always going to do just that; but that doesn't mean that she's not going to question the decisions so that she can know what she needs to know (maybe) when it comes to the decisions. "Mr. Casey, do you mind if I ask why you do not want me to offer her a position? Because she was a really good candidate." Matt sighed as he heard Catherine say that, well aware that Sylvie can hide who she really is. "Me and my wife have worked with her in the past when we were members of the Chicago Fire Department, and she later abused my wife, who was her supervisor, and it later led to problems in our marriage." Catherine was shocked when Matt said that, which is something that clearly changed her mind about Sylvie. "Mr. Casey, I am so sorry that I even thought about..." Interrupting her, Matt shook his head. "Catherine, it's okay. She can fake it well."
Catherine agreed with her boss as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Clearly, because she almost conned me into getting a job with the company of the woman she abused." Matt agreed with Catherine as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Well, I'm just glad that I stopped you from hiring her into my company." Catherine agreed with her boss. "Not that you couldn't just fire her the minute you learned." Matt sighed. "Not when I don't trust her, because who knows what she can get her hands on in terms of stuff that she can use to try and blackmail us; or just other things that can damage the company, because I am not going to loose my company when I just started this company." Catherine agreed with her boss as he said that. "I promise sir that she isn't going to get anywhere near this company, and we're going to make sure that we're going to keep thriving." Matt agreed with Catherine as she said that, as that was exactly what he wanted to hear. "Now, that's exactly what I want to hear. Now, any other hires we're looking at?"
Catherine agreed. "I am looking at a new member for the digital sales team, because we need to have a representative here." Matt agreed with Catherine as she said that, as that definitely is something that they need. "Okay, well I will be speaking with Ryan Jones too. You know who Ryan is, right?" Catherine took a breath, sighing. "To tell you the truth, I don't remember who that is. Remind me again?" Matt smiled. "Ryan Jones is my Business Manager for the Chicago area. Please put things past him for purchases and everything." Catherine (once again) agreed with her boss as he said that, well aware that was something that he has to do. "Just curious, are you going to make an office in Chicago? Because I know that you're from here." Matt agreed with Catherine because that is something that they're going to do. "Don't tell Ryan, but his future title is Assistant Deputy CEO for the Chicago Office." Catherine agreed with her boss as he said that. "I promise not to tell him anything Mr. Casey. Now, I need to make some calls for you."
Matt agreed with Catherine as she said that, glad that was the case. "Thank you so much Catherine, and please send the message that she is not to be hired in the company; I don't want to have this conversation again, or else I will not be so nice about it." Catherine agreed with her boss as he said that, before starting to type something. "I am hearing you typing." Catherine laughed. "I am going to write an e-mail." Matt agreed. "Can you send it to me?" Catherine agreed. "Of course. Now, have a good day sir." Matt agreed with Catherine as she said that, before hanging up his phone as he's now solved the problem; after which, he turned his attention back to the breakfast that he was making for him and Gabby. After all, that's what he needs to concentrate on right now; afterwards, he can go lay down in bed with her (where he'll hold her close, as they enjoy some breakfast with each other). Because that's what she needs from him right now. She needs him to hold her in his arms, and just make her feel better, which he's an expert in doing.

Coming upstairs from the kitchen this morning, Matt took a breath as he looked at Gabby, who was currently sitting in bed, with her hands on her stomach as she was trying to think positively right now. And that most definitely isn't something that he likes to see, because he hates the fact that she's currently hurt right now; hurt that the woman she hates even got close to the company that she and Matt are creating, just like she was (almost) at their vow renewal. "She's addicted. That's the only way that I can describe how she is, addicted. She's addicted to you Matt." Looking at his wife, Matt was confused as she said that she's addicted to him. "What are you talking about?" Turning her head, Gabby took a breath as she looked at her man. "Can you really not see how she looks at you? How she always stares at you when she was close to you?" Matt took a breath as he heard his wife say that, before getting close to her; after which, he went to set their breakfast down on their bed. He then decided to make his way over her side of the bed.
Making his way over to Gabby's side of the bed, Matt smiled at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "No, I never saw that." Gabby just stared at him as he said that, as she really didn't believe him. "Really? You never noticed?" Moving to get close to Gabby, Matt sat down next to her on their bed before putting her hand on her stomach; after which, he stared into her eyes and smiled at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "No, because I had another paramedic on my mind. Gabby, you were my fiancé when I met her. I don't care if we weren't engaged on her first shift, we were in my heart. Because the only you said no on the day of Boden's wedding, was because Shay died. I should've just given you the ring." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before reaching up and moving her hand to his neck. At the same time, Matt smiled as he moved his hand to her back; at the same time, he leaned in and proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything. "I love you."
Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before moving her hand to his face again; after which, she started to take things nice and slow with the most loving man in the entire world. "I love you Matt, and I am so lucky to have you as my husband." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling as he felt the same way. "Baby, I feel the same way; and I promise you right now that she is not getting close to our company, she is not going to get a dime of our money." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that was exactly what she wanted to hear from the man she loves more than anything in the entire world; at the same time, he took things nice and slow with the most beautiful woman in the entire world. "Listen, how about I get in bed with you? Then, we can have breakfast together; because we want to eat before the food gets cold." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most definitely is the truth. She didn't want to have the food go cold, not when that would mean that she needs to be away from the man she loves again.
"Can we delay wor..." Leaning in, Matt kissed her again. "I am going to kiss you after breakfast, just like you want." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before moving to grab his hand. After all, that's exactly what she wants. She wants to hold the man she loves close to her, and she wants to just feel loved by him; because that's something that only Matt can do, he can make her feel extremely loved. "I'm glad that we're going to spend the day in bed though, because I really like that idea." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before moving to grab her hand. "To tell you the truth, I don't really think that we were going to last long downstairs." Gabby smirked as she heard Matt say that, as that was something that she most definitely loves the idea of; but not as much as she loves the idea of the two of them having breakfast with each other. "What do you say we have breakfast in bed? Then, we can hold each other close and relax." Matt nodded as she said that, before moving his hand to her neck; after which, he kissed her softly.
Just taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world, Matt smirked as he then got up and bent down so that he could kiss her neck; moaning as he did that, Gabby smirked as she grabbed his hand. "Oh god, now that's hot." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I am so glad that this is exactly what we're going to be doing today." Matt agreed with Gabby, as he felt the same way. "Good, because I want this to be a continuation of our anniversary celebration." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, liking that idea. "I love that idea. Now, how about you join me in bed so that we can have breakfast? I'm hungry and ready to eat." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before smiling as he proceeded to get in bed with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; the woman he plans on spending the rest of his life loving, because she's the love of his life...and she will always be the love of his life, as well as being his one-and-only.
Cuddling up to his gorgeous wife, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arm around her before closing the covers; after which, Matt reached over to the side table. Bringing their breakfast into his lap, Matt smirked due to the fact that he could already see that Gabby liked the idea of them having breakfast in bed. Going to grab the fork, Gabby smiled as she went ahead and started to eat breakfast with Matt this morning. "Thank you for protecting me." Turning his head, Matt looked at the woman he loves; the woman he plans on protecting for the rest of his life, because that's something that he's always going to do. "I hope you know that I plan on always protecting you, especially from that monster of a woman." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case; after which, Gabby put her hand on his chest and leaned up to kiss him softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt smirked due to the fact that this really is exactly what they both want to do right now. They want to hold each other close, as they enjoy breakfast.

As they sat in bed together while eating breakfast, Matt couldn't help but wonder what was on her mind at the moment; in fact, that was why he decided to ask her to speak to him. "So, do you mind if I ask you what's on your mind right now?" Taking a breath, Gabby turned her head and looked at the man she loves. "I do have a question for you." Turning his head, Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "What do you need to ask me baby?" Taking a breath, Gabby proceeded to grab her hand; after which, she proceeded to intertwine their fingers as they both held each other close. "Do you think that we can change our plans for today?" Looking at Gabby, Matt realized what she was talking about. "Let me guess, you don't want to work today?" Looking down at Matt asked her that, she got nice and close to the woman he loves; after which, she leaned against his chest and just cuddled up to him. At the same time, Matt wrapped his arm around her back and turned his head to kiss her forehead softly. "Gabby, we don't need to work today."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case. "Good, because I don't want to think about work right now." Nodding, Matt already knew that was the case; and he also knew the reason why she didn't want to work right now after all, because working on ELLA would make her think about Sylvie. And that was the case thing that she wanted to do, because it's not something that they want to think about; not when they are trying to move past that life, the life where they had to deal with her each and every day. "I still can't believe that she even did t...." Bending down, Matt went ahead and kissed the woman he loves; after all, this isn't what he wants her to think about right now. He doesn't want her to think about Sylvie, because that's not going to help her whatsoever; rather, she just needs to take it easy and relax. "Listen, you need to take it easy and just relax. You need to make sure that you stay calm for the sake of those little girls in there." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, putting her hands on her baby bump.
"You're ready to be a girl dad." Moving his hand to her stomach, Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that; after which, he kissed her forehead and just smiled due to the fact that this is exactly what they both want to do right now. They want to hold each other close, and they just want to be happy with each other. And that's exactly what they both are. They're happy with each other, and they're going to make sure that they do whatever they can to be ready for the girls. "What do you expect? I want to cuddle up to my daughter all the time. I swear, I remember when Violet was small. I just wish I got to know her from birth." Going to grab her husband's hand, Gabby took a breath due to the fact that she knew that was hard. "I know what you mean, and I promise that will always be the case when we're raising our kids." Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, before leaning in and kissing the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I think that we both know that's always going to be the case." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling.
After which, she proceeded to grab his hand and intertwine their fingers; she then brought his hand up to her lips, kissing the back of his hand. At the same time, Gabby smiled as she laid her head down on Matt's shoulder as they both cuddled up to each other; because that's exactly what they both want to do right now. They want to hold each other close, and they want to make sure that they are very happy with each other. And that's always going to be the case, because of how connected they feel. "So, what do you want to do today?" Gabby smirked as she looked at the man she loves. "I want to do something with the man I love, and just hold him close to me." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that was something that he wanted to do as well; he wants to hold her close to him today, as they just relax with each other today. "Do you want to turn the TV on while we eat breakfast?" Turning his head, Matt smiled as he went ahead and kissed her forehead softly; after which, he went ahead and grabbed the remote so that Gabby can turn the TV on.
"Here." Looking at Matt, Gabby smiled as she grabbed her remote so that she can put it onto the Hallmark Channel, which is something that Matt's already expecting, because it's what she likes to watch. "I'm glad that you're okay with me watching the Hallmark Channel." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before wrapping his arm around her; after which, he kissed her forehead as they both held each other close. At the same time, Gabby grabbed his hand as they hold each other close. "I am so glad that this is what we're doing right now." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as he feels the same way. "I'm glad that we're going to just hold each other close too, and we're going to just take it easy. I promise, that's all we're going to do today." Gabby smirked, agreeing with the man she loves as they got ready to just enjoy a really nice day with each other in bed; and that most certainly will include some time where they kiss each other softly. However, it most certainly will not include any sex, because that's not something she wants.
She doesn't want to have sex with the man she loves, because she just wants to relax and hold him close to her. "So, you okay with us just holding each other close today?" Turning her head, Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was okay with them just holding each other close today; because she was more than okay with that, as it's exactly what she wants to do today. She wants to hold the man she loves close to her; and she wants to make sure that he does the same with her. "Promise me that you do nothing but hold me in bed today?" Turning his head, Matt smiled as he proceeded to kiss her forehead softly; after which, he looked down at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. Bending down, Matt smirked as they are both really happy with each other. And they're just going to get happier when he does exactly what Gabby wants him to do today, all day. "I promise Gabby, I'm not going to let you go today. I want to hold you just as much as you want me to hold you in bed." Matt then took a breath.
"Can I ask you a question first though?" Turning her head, Gabby agreed with Matt. "Of course." Taking a breath, Matt looked at the woman he loves. "Is your need to have me hold you..." Gabby took a breath, already well aware of what he was going to ask her. "Maybe. It's still hard." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Then what do you say we eat? I'll bring our plates to the kitchen, then I'll come back to bed and hold you in my arms." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as she very much liked that idea.

Hi Again: Iwant to apologize for the change in plans from the top of the chapter to thebottom of the chapter, but that's just something that can always happen in mystory; and that's due to the fact that I get ideas in my head in the middle ofthe chapter, and it changes things in it's entirety. But now, this is where weall know I am. And I hope that you guys continue to enjoy the story for awhile, because this is just the beginning. I am nowhere near done, and thatmeans that you're going to have to deal with sudden changes to plans like thesefor a long time; because as long as I'm going to write, there's going to beplans that change.
