Hi Readers: Sorry for having taken another break, and that the last chapter was a bit shorter than normal. However, I'm back and ready to have some more chapters out for you; and I hope to get them out as fast as I can, so let's not waste time with this note.

Walking over to the living room with the glasses of water that he just got for the both of them, Matt smiled as he looked at the most beautiful woman in the world as she sat on the couch and took it easy. After all, that's exactly what she needs to do; especially since that was a condition that the two of them agreed to, prior to them coming downstairs: that she still takes it easy and relaxes while they spend time with their family. And so far, that's exactly what Gabby's done since they came downstairs, which Matt is grateful for, simply because he doesn't want anything else to go wrong for the rest of the pregnancy. They've already dealt with enough drama when it comes to this pregnancy, and they just want to take it easy now, which is actually what they're in the midst of doing right now. They're both breathing, and just relaxing with each other; as well as their family, as they laugh and spend time with each other. At least, that was what Matt was hoping Gabby would be doing; but right now, it just seems like she's taking it easy. And that was okay too, as all that matters was that she was happy at the end of the day; and so far, it seems like that's what she was. Happy.
She was happy, and content as she sat in the living room; waiting for him to come join her and give her the drink that he just poured for her as they prepared to spend some time with their family this evening, while also holding each other close. Just looking at the woman he loves as he walked into the living room, Matt smirked due to the fact that she truly is extremely beautiful; and Matt just feels so blessed to have the ability to call her his wife, and the love of his life (as well as the mother of his children). Because that's the most important role that she has in his life, being the mother of his children; as she's the only woman that he's ever going to want to have children with, which is exactly what's going to happen in the future. But right now, he's going to give Gabby her water; after which, he'll be able to sit down and wrap his arm around Gabby...which is exactly what she wants him to do right now, as it will give her a chance to cuddle up to the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "Here, I got you some water so that you can stay hydrated Gabby." Looking up at Matt, Gabby smiled as that was exactly what she wanted right now. "Thanks baby."
Matt agreed with Gabby as she thanked him for the water, before moving to set his water down on the side table; after which, he went ahead and sat down next to her (while also wrapping his arm around her). After all, that was what Gabby wanted right now; to be held by her husband, as they grieve for their loss. And whether that be with his arms completely around her, which they do when they're in bed; or with his arm around her shoulders, then that's good enough for her. All that matters at the end of the day is that she gets to hold him close, and that she gets to cuddle up to her amazing husband for a bit. Moving her hand to his leg as soon as he was sitting down, Gabby smiled as they both held each other close as it was exactly what she wanted at the moment; she wanted to feel the man she loves hold her close to him, as they cuddle up to one another on the couch. And their family had to say, they look quite adorable as they do it. "So, did Matt do any work today?" Turning his head as he heard Camila ask him said question, Matt bit his lip. "Maybe just a little bit, to distract myself while Gabby took a nap; but it was mostly just e-mails that I had to respond to, keep things moving."
Antonio laughed as he heard Matt say that, before going to make a comment. "More like documents. I mean, he writes long e-mails; and he expects people to follow all of the orders to the letter, I just do it ho...." Turning his head, Matt looked at Antonio; because that most certainly was not what he wanted to hear, especially from his President and Deputy CEO of Casey Police. "What's that Mr. President and DEPUTY CEO?" Matt asked his brother-in-law, putting special emphasis on the word 'deputy' to make Antonio remember that he reports TO him, not the other way around. "Did you just say that you don't follow my orders, the others of your CEO?" Turning her head, Gabby proceeded to grab Matt's hand and intertwined their fingers. "Baby..." Turning his head as he heard Gabby speak to him, Matt soon realized what she was trying to remind him; and that was that he promised her that they wouldn't do business tonight, but instead would concentrate on being a family instead. "Right, sorry babe." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before moving to lay her head down on his shoulder. At the same time, Matt proceeded to kiss the top of her head. "How are you doing Gabby?"
Turning her head as she heard her mother-in-law ask her how she's doing, Gabby smiled as she was happy to see just how concerned everybody was about her health and wellbeing. "I'm doing much better, thanks for asking Nancy." Nancy agreed with her daughter-in-law as she said that, truly happy that she was feeling better. After all, she knows that they are in a bad place; with a lot of drama being involved right now, and that truly just breaks her heart. .The fact that her son, as well as his wife lost another child; a grandchild that she's not going to be able to meet. But at the end of the day, she can't really say anything; as she's not the one that's really suffering right now. Rather, that would be her sons and his wife; they are the ones who are really suffering right now, and she can already see that it's taking a toll on them. But at least it's not taking a toll on their marriage, which is something that she's worried about. But so far, it seems like their marriage is really strong; and Nancy is truly glad that's the case, as she doesn't want them to split up over this. But let's just be clear, that will never happen; because their marriage is really strong and is getting stronger by the day.
"I'm glad that's the case, just know that you can always talk to me if you need to." Gabby smiled, agreeing with Nancy as she said that; as that will be something that she takes into consideration, if she can't talk to Matt or her mom. "I mean, after Matt and your mom of course." Gabby snickered a bit as she heard her mother-in-law say that, as that was exactly what she was thinking. "Funny enough, I was just thinking the same think." Nancy smiled as she heard Gabby say that, glad that was the case. "Well, I'm glad; because we both know that as long as you talk to people, then everything is going to be okay." Turning his head to look at his mother, Matt put his hand out to try and get her to take it easy and relax; especially since they already had this conversation before, and he would rather not have this conversation again down here. The conversation that they had upstairs in bed was sufficient, and Matt is more than okay with everything that was said upstairs; and the truth is, Gabby is as well. She doesn't need to talk about it anymore, because she's content with what she and Matt have agreed to so far; and she was ready to tell Matt that, as she proceeded to grab his hand.
Intertwining their fingers after grabbing his hand, Gabby smiled as she looked at him (as she knew that he was trying to tell his mom to stop talking to her about what she was talking to her about). "Baby, take a breath and just relax. If your mom wants to talk to me about something, then please let me decide whether I want to talk about it or not." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, okay with that. "Of course, baby." Gabby smiled as she proceeded to walk her arms around his torso, cuddling up to him in the process; meanwhile, Matt turned his head and went to whisper to his beautiful wife. "Do you want to sit in my lap? Cuddle up to me like that, I think our family would understand." Turning her head, Gabby looked at everybody before getting up; after all, she wants to sit in Matt's lap...which is something that Antonio seemed to figure out. "I guess you decided to sit in Matt's lap after all?" Looking at her brother as he said that, Gabby was a bit taken aback; I mean, is she really that predictable? "Am I that predictable?" Antonio snickered, while Gabby made her way to the couch so that she could climb into Matt's lap; which is where she wants to be right now, in his arms.
Sitting down in his lap, Gabby smiled as she went to lay down against his chest; wrapping his arms around his torso in the process, Gabby smiled as she felt him wrap his arms around her and kiss the top of her head. Meanwhile, she turned her head and looked at the boys as they played together; and that was the best sight, a sight that both she and Matt were enjoying. .So much so, that Gabby decided to move her hand to Matt's head and keep it there for a bit as he pressed his lips to her forehead; rubbing her back at the same time, Matt proceeded to whisper to her. "The boys look so adorable as they play with each other, don't they?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before turning her head and looking up at the man of her dreams. At the same time, she leaned in and kissed him softly. "I was just thinking the same thing." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, just smiling as his beautiful wife laid back down in his arms and got comfortable with him; just like she should do, whenever she wants to cuddle up to him in his arms. Plus, he knows that it makes her feel better; laying down in his arms gives her comfort, which is what she needs right now.
And if that's something that he can give her, as they also spend some time with their family; then he's more than okay with doing it, as it also gives him a chance to talk to his mother. "Hey mom?" Turning her head after hearing her son call out for her, Nancy Mathies smiled as she looked at her son and daughter-in-law, who looked incredibly comfortable, as they laid down on the couch with each other. "Yes Matt?" Smiling at his mom as she smiled at him, Matt already knew that she was smiling at the sight of him holding Gabby in his arms; but that was not the reason why he called out for her, rather it was to see whether she spoke to Christie. More specifically, about what Christie plans on doing in a couple weeks; and just where she's going to be staying, if they come to Hawaii. "Have you spoken to Christie recently?" A bit taken aback as to why Matt would be asking her said question, Nancy just nodded as she just spoke to Christie yesterday. "Yes, I spoke to her yesterday; is there a reason why?" Matt sighed as he looked at his mother. "Did you guys talk about Christmas? I know that I should reach out to her, but I was thinking if you could...." Nancy laughed, before smiling at her son.
"Matt, take a breath and just relax; okay? I already spoke to Christie about that, and she's going to be coming here for Christmas; and she's going to be staying with me at the penthouse, if that's okay with you Camila." Smiling at her mother-in-law, Gabby smirked. "You and Christie can stay in the penthouse when she comes for Christmas, okay Nancy?" Matt was shocked as he heard Gabby say that, before looking down at her. "Really?" Gabby agreed with Matt as she looked up at the man she loves. "Christie's probably going to be here on New Year's Eve, so we can send the boys there for New Year's Eve." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, loving that idea as he turned his head and kissed her forehead softly; after all, what's better than them getting to spend their last New Year's Eve as parents of two alone...ahead of them welcoming the girls in March. "By the way, Friday; right?" Matt agreed with his mom as she asked him whether their anniversary is Friday, because it is. "We're still figuring out what we want to do that night." Nancy agreed with her son. "Wherever you guys want to go, then I'm more than okay with watching the boys; whether it be here, or at the penthouse."
Camila agreed with Nancy as she said that, as she was ready to do that as well. "I will help." Smiling, both of the grandmothers agreed with each other as they said that they would help each other take care of the boys on their anniversary; and the truth was, that was something that Matt couldn't wait to celebrate. His and Gabby's third wedding anniversary is going to be something nice, that they get to celebrate alone; and not just for a single night, but for the entire weekend.

I want to apologize for how short this chapter is, but I just thought about how I want to write their anniversary; and since I have an idea for it, I want to start writing it. So, I hope you don't mind if I go ahead and write it.
