Because yes, I need to check on one of our couples at the hospital after; and that family would be the Halstead family, whom are still there with their kids. Halstead NICU Room, Kapiolani-Tripler AMC – He was currently in the midst of spending some quality time with his beautiful daughter this morning, holding her on his chest as they cuddle up to each other in the hospital room; the two of them both being extremely happy over the fact that they can finally hold each other. Well, that's what Jay thinks Olivia is thinking about right now; just how comfortable he is as she cuddles up to her daddy, especially as she gets to have some real quality time with him now. Time that she hasn't been able to get with him since she was born a month ago, and that was the real reason that Jay was so happy right now; because he was finally able to do this with her, and just get some time with his daughter. Kissing the top of her head, Jay just smiled due to the fact that this is something that they have both been waiting to do for ages; and it's also been something that Alex has been waiting to see, but she can't right now. And that's due to the fact that she's sleeping at the moment, which she plans on doing for as long as she can; right now, Alex can concentrate on resting, while he and the nurses (and doctors) take care of Michael and Olivia.
And that's something that Jay is actually grateful for, because it means that she can get the rest that she needs; and so that her body can continue to recover, which it is doing right now. And now, she has the ability to work out, which Alex is very grateful for, but Jay isn't. Now let me explain what he means by that, because we both know that's a statement that doesn't really make sense; I mean, what husband wouldn't want their wife to get their body back into shape? Especially Jay, who has seen the benefits of working out in front of his boys; and not just the physical benefits that come with working out, because we all know that Jay loves being in shape. Especially when it leads to him getting lucky in bed with the woman he loves, not that he expects to get lucky anytime soon; that being due to the fact that they are still going to be recovering from they get home from the hospital: both from the physical aftermath of giving birth, and the mental aftermath that comes from giving birth to twins prematurely. And that's actually something that Jay still has on his mind each and every day, the worry that comes with Alex having given birth prematurely to their twins Michael and Olivia.
Heaven knows that is still a day that's stuck in the back of his mind, and the pure fear that was on his wife's face the entire day; the fear of having to give birth to their twins prematurely, because her own father got her all worked up. And that then led her to go into premature birth, and as a result; she had to give birth prematurely at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, before being transferred here to Honolulu's Kapiolani-Tripler Army Medical Center (with the help of Matt and the army). Yes, the army helped them get transferred here; and that's due to the fact that he still has benefits thanks to the VA, including benefits that help him with his PTSD. But right now, that's not what Jay is concentrating on; rather, he's currently concentrating on the sweet cuddles (and kisses) that he's sharing with his beautiful daughter, Olivia Marie Halstead. And yes if you're asking; she's named after Alex's friend from NYPD Captain Olivia Benson. In fact, he's actually in the midst of texting her right now; and that's due to the fact that she wants some updates on them, the Captain being a bit concerned over the fact that everything that's happened over the past couple months.... her being close to Alex.
Olivia: I'm glad that you guys are all doing better, especially after what Hank did. I am still shocked that he even did that to Alex because I know that he loves her like a daughter; so, I am just so terrified over what happened. For that to have happened to her is horrible, and I am so disappointed in him. And let's just say that he got a stern talking to from me, especially since I'm an SVU detective. Speaking of which, are you guys going to report that to the HPD? Or are you guys going to keep it between family?
Jay: I think that we're going to keep it between family, because we can just punish him by keeping him away from the grandkids for the first couple months after we leave the hospital, because there's no way in hell that he's going to be anywhere near them at Christmas. I mean, I think that I need to talk to Alex about that first; but I am thinking already that I am going to want to keep him away from the twins for a while. Maybe I can ask you for advice when it comes to that? Because I would love to know what you think.
Olivia: As an SVU detective? Or as a mother, because my answer as a mother is probably that you need to do whatever you can to protect your children. But as an SVU detective, I would say that you need to do whatever you can to keep your children safe. And if you think that Hank is a threat (not that he would physically hurt them) to your kids, then you have every right to keep him away from the kids. And I think that you need to talk to Alex about what she thinks about that. But remember not to stress her out too much.
Jay: Trust me, that can't happen. I mean, she's always so damn worried when it comes to the kids. Every beep, and every alarm always wakes her up; and she hasn't been getting much sleep. It's only been recently that she's been able to get some sleep, since the kids are starting to be treated as if they are in NICU Level II rather than in NICU Level III. They had to go on a vent the moment they were born, and Alex has just been so worried the entire time. And everybody (my brother and sister) are happy that this is the case now.
After sending the last text to Benson, Jay heard his Olivia make a bit of noise (while staying on his chest); and that led to him putting his phone down on the side table next to his chair and moving Olivia to his chest. Cuddling up to her, Jay put his hand on her back and tapped it as he then proceeded to kiss the top of her head; after which, he decided to move her head to his heart so that she could relax and just cuddle up to him. And let's just say that's definitely something that Olivia is enjoying because it is very relaxing. Just the way that they cuddle up to each other is perfect, and it's something that Jay has been missing ever since Alex gave birth. But now, he has this back; and he's just enjoying all the time that he gets to have with his family, even though they aren't getting a chance to spend the time at home. But regardless, that's all that matters at the end of the day; that he gets to spend some time cuddling up to his family, and just relaxing with them here in the hospital. It's so damn comfortable, and he just loves the feeling of Olivia moving her hand around his chest; especially since it reminds him of his beautiful wife, because she's doing it in a way that Alex does too.
But that's not the only type of intimate time he's sharing with his kids, as there's a reason that he's currently sitting in the recliner rather than sitting in bed with Alex; and that's due to the fact that he wants to spend some time with his son at the same time, by reaching into his warming bed and extending his finger. Doing just that, Jay smiled as he gave Michael a bit of attention right now; and boy is that nice, as it's very sweet. And he can already tell that his sweet boy loves the feeling of his finger on his face, because it's just a way for him to get some attention from his father; but not as much attention that his sister is getting, but he's okay with that because he loves cuddling up to the blanket that his aunt Natalie just recently purchased for him. It's really cute, and he's just so glad that he has a chance to cuddle up to it because he wants to make sure that he's still warm; and thanks to the blanket, as well as the warming bed, he's staying extra warm. And that means that his little boy is also quite cozy there in his bed, which means everything to both Jay and Alex; because it means that he's getting healthier by the minute, and that means they're a minute closer to bringing him home.
And that's all that Jay and Alex want, because they want to be home with their children; and they want to make sure that they are safe at home, with them. And that's just going to be a lot of fun, because it means that he and Alex are going to be able to cuddle up to each other in their own bed, because that's something that they always dream of; in fact, it's what Alex just finished dreaming up. But now, she was dreaming of something else; rather, she was starting to have a wet dream about something. So much so, that she just started to moan for a bit. "Yeah, that feels nice Jay." Turning his head as he heard his beautiful wife say that, Jay laughed a bit as that was not something that he expected to hear; and he was a bit embarrassed as he soon saw a nurse come into the room with the fresh towels that he ordered. "Uhm..." Jay just looked at the nurse, smiling at her. "I'm sorry about that. I'll take care of her." The nurse agreed with Jay as he said that, smiling at the father as he held his baby girl n his arms. "Of course, Mr. Halstead. Would you like me to close the door on my way out?" Jay agreed with the nurse as she asked him whether he would like her to close the door, as he does.
After all, she just walked in on Alex moaning during a wet dream; so, he would rather have the door closed after that. And now that it was, it's time for Jay to get up and put Olivia back down in her warming bed. Getting up, Jay just smiled as he proceeded to walk over to Olivia's warming bed; after which, he laid her down and just smiled as she got all comfortable in her bed. "There we go Olivia, time for you to just calm down and lay down." Reaching into the bed, Jay smiled as he proceeded to rub her chest and just smiled due to the fact that she is so damn adorable; both of his kids are adorable, and he's so happy over the fact that they're currently in the midst of falling back asleep in their cribs. That way, he can get in bed with Alex, and make sure that she calms down when it comes to her moaning; as that's what she's just finished doing. Leaning over Olivia, Jay smiled as he kissed her forehead softly and then made his way over to Michael. Leaning over him too, Jay smiled as he proceeded to kiss his forehead softly; after which, he smiled as he went to grab his phone. "You kids just stay calm and take it easy, because I need to go do the same with your mommy."
Looking down at Max as he laid down at his feet (close to the warming beds), Jay smiled as he bent down and then proceeded to rub the top of his head. Looking up at Jay as he did that, Max was really happy and comfortable as that was exactly what he wanted to feel; he wanted to feel him rub his head, and just be comfortable. And that most definitely is what he just did. Smiling at his service dog, Jay smirked. "Well, I think that you are a happy boy; and I know that you're also a good point. So, how about you just stay quiet and make sure that you relax?" Max agreed with Jay as he said that, before moving to lay down on his bed. Smiling as Max did that, Jay got up and took a breath as he looked at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; and the woman he needs to get to calm down, due to the fact that she just moaned in the hospital. And that most definitely is not something that he wants to hear, especially not when a nurse just came into the room (and heard it); but hey, there's still a Brightside to his. That Brightside being the fact that the nurse was a woman, rather than a man; because no husband wants another man to hear his wife moan his name.

They were now alone once again, and that meant that Alex had the ability to moan his name if she wants to; however, that's not what Alex wants to do. Rather, she just wants to relax and just take it easy with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. And let's just say that Alex is quite comfortable as they laid down in each other's arms, because that's how she always feels; along with also feeling embarrassed, which is something that she and Jay are going to talk about as she cuddled up to him in bed once again. "I can still see that you're embarrassed over what you did." Looking up at Jay as she put her hand on his chest, Alex agreed with Jay as she said that; just smiling due to the fact that was exactly how she felt, but she was also happy about it. "I'm not going to complain though, because it felt incredible. Getting a nice moan out as a way to tease my man, because I know that really turned you on." Jay laughed as Alex said that, as that most definitely is the truth; I mean, what husband wouldn't be turned on by his wife moaning for him...while there are other people in the room, and then not feeling ashamed of it whatsoever. "I think we know you loved the sound of it." Jay agreed with Alex as she said that, because that most definitely is the truth as he was extremely turned on by the sound.
Turning his head, he smiled as he put his hand on his back and looked down at his beautiful wife. "I think that you still need to take it easy, and we don't need to go too fast." Alex agreed with Jay as he said that, well aware that was the case; I mean, of course she knows that she needs to relax and just take it easy as they're in bed with each other. They both need to relax and just cuddle up to each other, while they are extremely comfortable with each other; and they are also very happy over the fact that they're alone with each other right now, even though they're in the hospital. God, the way they cuddle up to each other is just perfect. This is everything that they want, but they also want to be home with each other. And that's exactly where they're going to be in a month, which is something that they are both incredibly happy about; that they're going to be home with each other in a month.

Note to Readers: I want to explain why it took so long to get this chapter out. It's due to the fact that I got distracted, and because I am not really enjoying writing the hospital chapters anymore; so, here's the thing. I am going to tell you right now that this is the last chapter that I am going to be writing in the hospital, and I am going to be going to start writing Jay and Alex at home from now on. And that starts next chapter. I hope you understand my reasons for skipping and will continue to enjoy my story, even though it is quite jumpy at times; but still, this does mean that I get to do something else sooner than I thought. And that would be that I get to write a romantic anniversary day with Matt and Gabby (and I also get to get out of the drama). So, I hope that you guys understand; and are ready for a new era in this story, one where we have three families in a single building. More specifically, the Casey Headquarters. Enjoy readers.
