He just spent the past twenty minutes making a nice breakfast for him and Gabby, as well as a quick snack for Natalie; just because he isn't her husband, that doesn't mean that he can't help his friend. But there's also another reason why he made her a snack, and that was due to the fact that he wanted to sit up here for a while; he wants to sit up on the top deck for a while, as they need to get a bit of fresh hair. They need some, just as much as Andy needs a bit of water, which is exactly what Matt just finished doing for his service dog and was now carrying the water bowl back to the are where Andy was having a bit of fun, rather than keeping it by the tap where he can just drink water much easier. But still, that doesn't mean that they can't just keep him hydrated; especially when they're up here on the top deck, because it's so hot up here when they live in Hawaii. And that's why they're not going to stay up here that long after they have breakfast, because they need to make sure that Gabby gets enough rest; and just like Andy, she needs to stay hydrated.
And that's something that they're going to do for the entire day, while also having fun with each other; because Matt has no plans to work today, not when his wife needs him right now. "So, Gabby says that you don't plan on working today." Setting the bowl of water that Matt just got for Andy, he smiled as he proceeded to put his hand on his head; after which, he rubbed it and just smiled at his man's best friend (and the dog who helps him with his PTSD). However, he isn't the only one that helps him with his PTSD; because Gabby most definitely does help him too, more than anybody in the entire world. She understands him, and his PTSD in a way that allows her to take care of him in the way that he needs to. "No, I don't plan on working today; because Gabby needs me to take care of her, and I just need to relax and take it easy. We both have something to deal with." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case; after which, Matt made his way over to Gabby so that he can sit down with her (and hold her close).
Grabbing his coffee as soon as he sat down, Matt smiled as he brought it close to his lips and then proceeded to take a sip; after which, he turned his head and smiled at the woman he loves. "I hope you know that you can always tell me whether it doesn't smell good, because I don't want you to gag while you're here with me." Gabby shook her head as she heard Matt say that, as that was not what she wanted him to worry about; rather, she was more than okay with the smell that came out of his coffee. "Baby, I'm fine. And the smell of coffee doesn't bother me as much anymore, especially not when both you and my mother drink it on a regular basis." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before turning his head and kissing the side of her head. "So, what did you guys talk about while I was downstairs making breakfast?" Natalie smiled as she proceeded to grab the snack that Matt made for her, a nice bagel. "By the way, thanks for the bagel; I'm sure that Will is going to really appreciate the fact that you made me a snack, since I'm pregnant."
Matt agreed with Natalie as she said that, well aware that was the case. "If I were in Will's place, I would hope that he would've done the same for Gabby." Matt then turned to look at his beautiful wife, smiling at the most beautiful woman in the entire world. "Is the food good? If you need something else, I can go make you something else." Gabby shook her head as Matt asked her whether she wanted him to make something else, as that most definitely isn't what she wanted; rather, she just wanted him to relax and stay here. She wants her loving husband to stay here, and she wants him to spend time with her and their friend; after all, they are going to go inside after they're done breakfast. "No, I want to stay here as I eat my eggs, bacon and toast." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aw are that was the case. "I can only assume that's because you like being with Natalie, so that you can talk to her right now?" Gabby smiled as she looked at the man she loves. "And because I want to get a bit of sunshine right now." Matt agreed.
"I think we both know that you need it more, but you love how much we cuddle up to each other in bed; and just get some sexy time with each other, and we're just taking a bit of time to deal with the bad news that we got recently." Natalie agreed with Matt as he said that, before taking a breath as she actually wants to talk to Matt about this. "Listen, I know that I'm not a party to this marriage; but I am your friend Matt, and we've been friends for a while and..." Going to grab his coffee, Matt picked it up and finished Natalie's thought. "You want to know how I am." Turning her head, Gabby smiled as she looked at the man she loves. "Me and Natalie already spoke about it just to let you know, so I am well aware of the fact that Natalie is concerned for us; and I am more than okay with us talking about it." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, glad that was the case; after all, he does want to tell Natalie how he feels. And that's due to the fact that he wants to talk to a medical professional, who just so happens to also be the doctor who told them.
"I had to say, I did appreciate the fact that we got the news from someone that we know; I think it really just hit me just how much I appreciate it, and how much I didn't know that it was what I needed. And it really is what I needed, because I love that you know me; and you know how to talk to me." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, not having thought about it that way; after which, she turned her head and just smiled at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. And she has to say, that he just has this way of saying it that makes it sound so easy. "I swear, I am so glad that you said it that way; that's just something that I could never have said, and you said it so eloquently." Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, well aware that was the case. "I think that's due to the fact that I used to be a politician, and I know how to talk." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that's the case. "And you were a great politician." Matt sighed as he heard Gabby say that. "I'm still a politician, because I'm dealing with a local union."
Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that, unsure as to what he's talking about. "What are you talking about baby?" Matt sighed. "I don't want to talk about business." Gabby just looked at her husband. "Baby, just talk to me. What's up?" Matt smiled. "Okay, I just want to say that I have acquired a plot of land on the island; and we're going to use it as our first Casey Training Facility." Gabby was shocked as she heard Matt say that, looking at her husband. "What, how come this is the first think that I am hearing about? Baby, this is huge news!" Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling at the woman he loves. "I have a meeting with Linda Errs who just got the contract for the land acquisition, and I am going to be writing the downpayment." Gabby looked at Matt. "What's the downpayment?" Matt bit his lip. "$130,000. Total price of the lot is $1.3 million. The construction contract is $2.5 million with a 15% downpayment or $375,000." Gabby looked at Matt as he said that, before understanding that it would cost money.
"Hey, I understand that." Matt agreed. "Be glad that I got the construction team to do both the Fire Training Facility, as well as the Police Facility for a single cost. So, I am basically paying $2.2 million for each facility: $1.25 million per construction contract, and $1.95 for the land that I am going to use." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before wrapping her arms around his bicep; after which, she turned his head and kissed it softly. "Well, I am so glad that you finally are going to star the facilities; because I know that you really want to get that started, and I know you want to have a facility here in Hawaii." Matt agreed with Gabby as he said that he wants to get a facility here in Hawaii, but he also knows that he needs to talk to her about something else. "Also means that I need to get a bit busier, and I need to make the curriculum with Kelly and Stella; I am thinking of getting something from the CFD Academy, or something else. I'm not sure yet, and I just have a lot to think about." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that.
After all, she knows that he has a lot on his place. "But I'm happy to say that we at least, finally have some income coming in." Gabby was shocked as she heard Matt say that. "We do?" Matt smiled. "We just got six contracts signed." Gabby smiled as she heard her husband say that, before going to grab her hand. "That's amazing baby. Wait, how much are we talking about?" Matt smiled. "We are closing the year with a $61,194 profit, with us being guaranteed almost $410,000 by the third quarter of fiscal year 2024." Natalie was shocked as she heard Matt say that, very happy for him. "Wow, I am so happy for you Matt." Matt smiled as he heard Natalie say that. "Thanks Natalie, just know that this does mean that I can pay some salaries; but not all of them." Turning her head, Gabby smiled as she proceeded to grab his hand. "We can use some of our other funds to do that, as we aren't taking salaries; and we can also dip into our personal funds." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that most definitely is something that they can do.
"And I think we will." Turning his head, Matt smiled as he kissed her forehead softly. "Good, because I like that idea. But now, we do have something else." Gabby looked up at Matt as he said that. "And what's that?" Matt smiled at his beautiful wife. "You need to keep eating Ms. Casey." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before watching as he bent down so that he can kiss her softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt just smiled before proceeding to grab his fork; after which, he went ahead and started to eat some more of his breakfast. That way, they can just relax and hold each other close. "So, what are you and Will going to do today Natalie?" Natalie laughed as Matt asked her what she and Will are going to be doing today, because she wasn't sure. "Honestly, I'm not sure yet." Matt smiled as he heard Natalie say that, before turning his head and looking at Gabby; after which, he kissed the side of her head. "I already know what me and Gabby are going to be doing today." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling.
After which, she leaned up and kissed him softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves (again), Matt smirked before pulling away and whispering to her. "I think that I may want you today." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that's the case. "Do you want to take a walk first? Because we need to talk Andy out." Matt shook his head. "I'll go take him for one, you need to rest." Natalie agreed with Matt as he said that. "And I think it's a bit too humid for you to go out Gabby, I would wait until tomorrow." Gabby agreed with Natalie as she said that, before hearing Matt whisper in her ear. "And you need to rest, and just take it easy. You're a bit emotional still, and because I heard you cry this morning." Gabby took a breath as she heard Matt say that, well aware that was the case. "I know." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before turning her head and then kissing her forehead softly; after which, he smiled as he proceeded to kiss her forehead softly. Laying her head down on his chest afterwards, Gabby just smiled.
At the same time, Matt smirked as he went to grab her hand; intertwining their fingers shortly after grabbing her hand, Matt turned his head and kissed her forehead once again. "We'll figure something out for what we can do okay?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case as she proceeded to grab some more of her breakfast (ahead of them going inside together).
