His heart was breaking for his wife, and the way she was currently looking outside through the windows of their penthouse primary suite; the room that they were (probably) going to be staying in for a while after everything that's happened in the past little while, including that heartbreaking news that's led to them having yet to speak to each other since they left to the hospital. Heck, even before that; it was more like since they got the news, the news that they lost another child that they'll never get to meet. And that was why Matt thought it was best for them to just come straight home, and they can figure out something for food in a minute. But right now, Matt had to do something else. He had to talk to their family about what's happening, and he was currently doing just that as he spoke to his in-laws in the bathroom. "Is everything okay Matt? Because it sounds like you're talking to us in the washroom right now." Matt sighed as he heard Antonio say that because that was the case. "Yeah, because that's where I'm talk to you guys from."
Camila agreed with her son-in-law as he said that, well aware that was the case; but she could also just hear something in his voice that was telling her that there was a reason why he was calling them right now, a reason that was not a happy one. "Matthew, I hate to even ask. But I can't help but wonder if everything's okay? I can hear it in your voice." Matt took a breath as he heard Camila ask him that, as that was exactly what the problem was. "It's actually why I'm calling you guys." Both Antonio and Camila agreed with the CEO as he said that. "It's actually about the length of you guys taking care of the boys, because uhm...we just got some bad news at the hospital." Camila got concerned as soon as she heard Matt say that. "Is everything okay with the baby?" Matt sighed. "Well, here's the thing. Turns out, we were pregnant with more kids than we expected." Antonio laughed. "So, you're having tw...wait, were? You mean that you were pregnant with twins?" Matt sighed. "Triplets." Camila and Antonio were both shocked. "Oh dear." Matt then explained.
"But we had a partial miscarriage, and we lost one of the triplets; uhm, a triplet son more specifically." Camila could just hear the pain in the father's voice as he said that, as it was clear that Matt liked the idea of having another son. "Wait, three sons?" Matt sighed. "No, we're still pregnant. We were pregnant with identical twin daughters, and then a triplet son. The identical twin girls survived, but we just lost the baby boy." Antonio and Camila both couldn't help but feel horrible for Matt, both well aware that this was horrible news. "Okay, so what do you need from us?" Matt sighed as he turned to look at Gabby again. "Me and Gabby aren't at the penthouse, we're at the family home; we're going to stay here for a bit, and just regroup. Can you just..." Antonio agreed. "Of course, Matt, me and my mom have the boys; right mom?" Camila agreed with Antonio. "Yes, of course we do; please, send Gabby my love and my condolences." Antonio agreed. "Same here." Matt agreed. "I promise. But uhm, Antonio?" Antonio agreed. "What's up?"
Matt sighed. "Can you call all of our friends, and tell them to leave us be for a minute? I don't want Gabby to talk about..." Antonio just agreed, understanding where Matt was coming from. "Of course, Matt, just take it easy and I'll call Stella and everybody; I promise." Matt agreed. "Uhm, tell Stella to maybe cancel tomorrow's surprise. You know, the real reason why we were coming here." Antonio knew exactly what he was talking about, the surprise baby shower that they were planning for Matt and Gabby (and their girls). "Right, we need to cancel that." Matt took a breath, agreeing with his brother-in-law. "Thanks again guys. Camila, I'll text you the code to the penthouse. Maybe you can stay up there during the day, and you can let the boys play with some of their toys; they can be at home in a way, we just..." Camila stopped Matt. "Matt, take a breath and just go spend time with Gabby. Me and Antonio have the boys and take care of your wife right now." Matt agreed with Camila. "Thanks Camila, love you guys." Both of his in-laws agreed.
After which, Matt proceeded to hang up his call with them; that way, he could make his way out to his and Gabby's room and hold her in his arms. That was what he needed to do right now, he needed to hold Gabby; and it was actually why Matt was wearing his sweats right now, they both were. They were wearing their sweats, as they aren't in the mood to have sex with each other; not when they're mourning this loss, and because Gabby is taking it really hard. She always takes loosing a child hard, especially when it's something that Matt wants so much; but right now, Matt is not thinking about himself. Rather, he's thinking about his wife as she's hurting right now; and he can see it, he can see how much she's hurting. And that pains him more than she'll ever know. He hates seeing her hurt, especially when it comes to them having children; because this is something that they've always wanted, they've always wanted a big family. And this is just a huge blow. But that's not what Matt's going to concentrate on right now, because she's his priority.
Carrying his phone over to his side table, Matt decided to turn it off as he didn't want to be disturbed; not when he's taking this time to console his wife, and just hold her close to him. But first, he needed to make sure that Andy relaxed. Seeing him on his side of their room (laying down on his bed), Matt smiled as he walked up to his side table; after which, he went to set his phone down on his charger and crouched down. Putting his hand on Andy's head, Matt smiled as he scratched his head. "Just relax, okay buddy?" Andy agreed, before going to lay down; at the same time, Matt got up and took a breath while looking at the woman he loves as she stood at the window with her hands on her stomach. The stomach that used to contain their beautiful twin daughters, as well as their triplet son. And that was what Gabby had on her mind right now, the fact that she lost another one of their sons; their last one, as this is the last time that she was getting pregnant. And that was something that she was going to make clear to Matt as soon as they're in bed.
She just wants to have the man she loves more than anything hold her in his arms and make her feel better; and the truth is, Matt wants to do the same thing more than anything. Like he just said, he loves Gabby so much; and this is really hurting him, the look of pure pain on Gabby's face as he looks at her right now. And he just hopes that he can make her feel better, starting by walking up behind her. Getting close to the woman he loves from behind, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and put his hands on top of hers (which were currently resting on her stomach); after which, he leaned his chin on her shoulder as they both took a moment to hold each other close. And that was due to the fact that this really is exactly what Gabby needs right now, she needs to be held by the man she loves. "Want to get in bed, and hold each other close?" Taking a breath as she heard Matt ask her that, Gabby turned around and looked at him; after which, Matt decided to step close to her and wrap his arms around her body, like she needs.
Wrapping her arms around his back shortly afterwards, Gabby rubbed it as they both held each other close; at the same time, Matt turned his head and kissed her forehead softly. That way, he can make sure that the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world just stays close to him; because that's exactly what she needs this afternoon, to be held by the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. And that's because it's going to give her comfort, and make her feel extremely loved; heck, it's already making her feel that way. And that most definitely was something that Gabby was enjoying, because she always loves the feeling of Matt's strong arms around her. Pressing his lips to her forehead again, Matt smiled as he whispered to her. "What do you say we do lay down in bed, okay baby?" Looking up at Matt, Gabby agreed; after all, that was exactly what she needs to do right now. She needs to hold the man she loves close to her, and she needs to just get comfort from the man of her dreams; and he's ready to do just that.

She was already in bed, and waiting for the man she loves to get in bed with her; that way, she could just have him hold her close for a while. But first, it seemed like Andy wanted to get up with her first. Getting up off his bed, Andy jumped up onto the bed (in Matt's spot) before he could get in. "Hey, no." Gabby shook her head. "No, keep him on here baby; he can give us both some comfort." Looking at Gabby as she said that, Matt agreed with her; after all, that most definitely was something that he wanted for her. He wanted to do whatever he can to makes sure that she's happy (or at least as happy as she can be). And that was due to the fact that he hates to see her hurt, but you already knew that. "So, I promise you right now; no sex, just cuddles today. Time as husband and wife only." Gabby agreed with Matt, glad that was the case. "Thanks." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby say that, before proceeding to lean back against his pillow; opening his arms shortly afterwards, Matt motioned for Gabby to join her in his arms. "Come here."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her to get close to him, because that was exactly where she wanted to be right now. She wants to be in his arms, and just have him hold her close. "Thanks for changing our plans, I know that..." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby say that, before watching as she laid down in his arms; after which, he grabbed the covers and went ahead to bring them on top of the both of them. That way, they could just get comfortable with each other; but still, that didn't mean that Gabby was done. "I know you wanted to take me out, but I just..." Moving his hand to Gabby's back as he turned his head, Matt kissed her forehead softly. "Hey, look up at me and take a breath." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, doing just that; after which, Matt wrapped his arms around her and then bent down so that he could kiss her softly. Putting her hand on Matt's arm (while also moving in between his legs some more, slipping her legs in between them at the same time), Gabby kissed Matt nice and slowly as it was what they both wanted.
After which, she laid her head down on Matt's chest so that she could listen to his heartbeat; because that was what she really needed right now, she needed to lay her head down on his chest and calm herself down. And that was something that Matt knew, and the exact reason that they were already in bed with each other. Rubbing her back as he held her in his arms, Matt turned his head and pressed his lips to her forehead softly. "Gabby, I don't need to do anything other than this; not when I know that you're hurting right now, and that means that you don't want to get all dolled up and go out. Rather, you want to be home with me, and just holding me close." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that was exactly what she wanted to do right now. She wanted to lay down in Matt's arms as she cuddled up to him in their bed, which he's more than happy to let her do; especially since it means that he gets to hold the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world in his arms, as they also take some time to grieve their loss.
Moving his hand to hers, Matt stroked it with his thumb (while also moving his other hand to her lower back and stroking her side with his thumb); more specifically, he started to stroke the side of her stomach where their twin daughters are growing inside of her. "Your mom says that we can take all the time we want, she has the boys; and we just need to concentrate on each other right now." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case. "I'm glad that's the case." Matt nodded as he ran his hand up and down her back. "They said to take all the time we need, and to just relax; they have the boys, and we have time to be with each other. And I promise that I will cancel any work, because you need me Gabby; you need my full attention, and you need mem to concentrate on you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her that. "And you're okay with that?" Matt agreed with Gabby, before turning his head and pressing his lips to her forehead softly. "Of course, I am Gabby, because I know that this is what you need from me right now."
Gabby agreed with Matt. "I'm just glad that this is the last time I have to deal with this, because I hope you know that I'm done after this." Looking down at his wife as she said that, Matt was a bit confused. "What do you mean baby?" Gabby looked up at Matt as he asked her that, unsure as to why he wasn't understanding what she was telling them; then again, he's a man and doesn't always understand what she says. So, she needs to tell him. "Matt, I'm done when it comes to pregnancies; this is my last one, and I am not getting pregnant again to give you another son."

To say that Matt was shocked that Gabby even felt like she needed to say that, well that would be an understatement; and that was due to the fact that he already knew what, he knew that they were done having kids. He knew that Gabby was done getting pregnant, and he was okay with that; he was more than okay with that, because he has...and will have the family of his dreams as soon as Gabby gives birth to the children whom she's currently pregnant with, their daughters Bella and Emily. And that was something that he was going to remind his beautiful wife, and that he was going to make sure that she knows that; but first, he's going to turn his head and kiss her forehead softly so that he could calm her down this afternoon. "Hey, look up at me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, looking up at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "Gabby, I am telling you this right now. You have nothing to worry about when it comes to that, because I am more than okay with us being done after having the twins. No, we are done."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case; because that was the truth, and a decision that she could make on her own. "Not that you can really force me to get pregnant again, other than by..." Looking down at Gabby as she tried to say that, Matt looked down at the most beautiful woman in the entire world; after which, he proceeded to stop her from even saying that. Because that was not something that he was going to do, because he doesn't want to be that type of man; and because he doesn't want to be like his father. And that's something that Gabby already knows. "Hey, look up at me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "You have no reason to ever say that ever again Gabby, because you never need to worry about me doing that to you; because I will never do that to you, and you know that." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before proceeding to kiss her forehead softly. After which, Gabby laid her head back down.
Moving his hand back to Gabby's back, Matt sighed as he ran his hand up and down her back so that he can make sure that Gabby feels better; and lucky for him, that was exactly what he was in the midst of doing. "Gabby, do you want me to do anything for you right now?" Gabby smiled at Matt. "Can you pass me the TV remote? I want a distraction, and not that type of distraction." Looking down at Gabby, Matt was shocked that she would even think that he would try and get her to be intimate with her...especially after she just miscarried one of their children, which is something that he knows they're going to have to deal with for the rest of the pregnancy, especially since she is literally carrying said child for the rest of the pregnancy. Yes, Gabby is still carrying their son; and that's due to the fact that they could do a D&C after discovering that she had a partial miscarriage, as it would be far too risky for their daughters. And that was all he needed to know, as he doesn't want to take the risk under any circumstances. So, they didn't do one.
But it also meant something else, it meant that they no longer could do a home birth; and that was due to the fact that they also need to get a D&C at the same time, to get rid of the tissue that needs to go with their late son. Plus, she's also going to get her tubes tied then and there; but they've yet to talk about that...so, Matt decided that he might as well bring it up; just as soon as he gives Gabby the remote, as he knows that it'd be better for her to just get the conversation over with. "Listen, I think we need to talk about something." Going to turn the TV on after grabbing the remote, Gabby turned her head to look up at Matt. "And what's that?" Taking a breath, Matt looked down at the woman he loves before running his hand up her back and pressing his lips to her forehead once again. "What this means for our birth plan, and how we can really do this." Gabby took a breath as she heard Matt say that, well aware of what he was walking about; and that would be that she now has to give birth at the hospital, which she didn't plan on doing.
"Oh shit, I can't do a home birth now."

The moment Gabby mentioned that she can no longer do a home birth (as she needs to do another procedure at the same time), Matt took a breath as he knew that was the case; after which, he decided to turn his head so that they could talk about that. That was due to the fact that he knew that Gabby out want, no; he knew that she had to talk about it, or else it would stay in her mind the entire day. He just knew his wife so well, that he just decided to bite the bullet so that they could get past it. Taking a breath as he looked down at his girl, Matt proceeded to kiss her forehead again (while also running his hand up and down her back). "No, unfortunately you can't." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. And that was because of her experience as a paramedic, she knew what you can and can't do when it comes to giving birth; and when she has the ability to assist a moment to give birth if she goes into labor in the ambulance, prior to them being able to get to the hospital. But still, that was something to consider.
"I mean, there are other procedures that I need to do now; and god, that's just..." Matt sighed as he heard Gabby say that, before running his hand up and down her back; after which he tried to calm her down, as that was what she needed to do right now. She needs to take a breath and just calm down for the sake of their daughters. "Hey, take a breath and just relax babe. You need to relax for the girls." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know." Matt nodded as he bent down and kissed her forehead once again, before whispering to her. "It'll all be okay at the end of the day, and we both know that." Gabby agreed with Matt, before taking a breath as she proceeded to grab Matt's hand and intertwining their fingers. "So, are you okay with the implications?" Matt looked down at Gabby as she said that, not sure what she means exactly. "What do you mean Gabby?" Gabby took a breath as Matt asked her that, as it didn't seem like her husband was understanding everything that the news meant.
"Matt, you know that this may every well mean that we need to stay in the hospital longer than expected." Looking down at Gabby as she said that, Matt agreed with her as he was well aware that was the case; and he could clearly see that there was something else on her mind, other than the fact that they're going to have to stay in the hospital longer than they expected. "Okay, you have something on your mind; and I'm going to ask you what's on your mind, and I expect to get an honest answer." Gabby took a breath as Matt asked her that, before looking up at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world; and the truth is, there was something on her mind. And that was the fact that this may be really bad for his mental health, as it may bring up some PTSD from the time that the boys had to be in the NICU. "I guess, I'm just a bit worried when it comes to what this is going to mean for you." Matt was confused as he heard Gabby say that, unsure as to what she was talking about right now. "What are you talking about Gabby?" Gabby sighed.
She then sat up and proceeded to look at the man she loves. "What if this brings up some more of your PTSD?"
