Hi Readers: What are you guys thinking about the chapters that I have been posting for you guys so far? And are you guys liking the ideas that I am putting forward as ideas for the story? Note to Readers: I have decided to change things up (again) when it came to the hospital. I have decided to combine the two hospitals, that way I can have everybody go to the same hospital. However, there will be two hospitals in one. One half of the hospital will be a hospital for the general public (like Matt and Gabby), and the other will be for veterans (like Jay). Hope you understand.

Kapiolani-Tripler Medical Center
They were on their way home, their family home; the home where they can escape from the outside world, and truly get away from work. Where they feel like they can truly spend time as a family, and just enjoy themselves; and that's exactly what Matt and Gabby are going to do, they're on their way to enjoy some quality time together. But first, they had to make a quick stop; they had to make a quick stop at the hospital, where they were hoping to see Natalie. That way, they could have a nice meeting with their OB/GYN friend so that they can find something out; and that was the truth of the real number of kids that they are going to have, the real number of daughters that they are going to have. Because that most definitely is something that they both want to have. Turning to look at Matt as they walked from their car towards the hospital, Gabby smiled as she wrapped her arms around his bicep and intertwined their fingers; at the same time, Matt smiled as he turned his head and kissed the top of her head. "I can only imagine that you're happy."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was happy, because she most definitely was happy right now. She was very happy, especially at the thought of something special happening today; and that would be learning something that she already feels like she knows, and that would be that they are having twin daughters (rather than a single baby). "Oh, I am quite happy; and that's due to the fact that I just can't wait to hear the news that I think we're going to get today. No, that I know we're going to get today." Turning to look at Gabby as she said that, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders; after which, he proceeded to grab her hand and intertwined their fingers while kissing the top of her head. "I just don't want you to get your hopes up, only for them to be dashed if you know what I mean." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was something that she needed to remember. "Of course, I know that Matt." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, because that was what she needed to do.
She needed to make sure that she stayed realistic, and that not all of their dreams will come true; I mean, other than this one. The one where they have this beautiful life with each other. And when she says a beautiful life, she really means that. There's just this way that she and Matt live here that makes her really happier, much happier than she's ever been. Sure, she loved her life with Matt in Chicago; but there's something about the life that they're making here with the boys that makes her so much happier, and that she's always going to be happy about. But what will make her even happier, is the news that she's right; right about the number of daughters that they're going to have, in just a few months. "So, what order are we doing things?" Matt was a bit confused as he heard Gabby ask him that, before turning his head to look at the woman he loves. "What do you mean?" Gabby sighed as she turned to look at Matt. "Are we going to go say hi to Jay and Alex first, or are we going to go check?" Matt then stopped in the center of the medical center lobby.
Turning to look at Gabby, Matt stepped close to her and then proceeded to grab her hand; after which, he turned his head and looked at Andy. "Andy, sit boy." Smiling as she got close to Matt, Gabby smiled as she looked up at the man she loves; after which, she leaned up and proceeded to kiss him softly. Taking things slow with Gabby, Matt smirked as he was really happy. "You're worried about this, aren't you?" Gabby took a breath. "I mean, aren't you? What if this leads to everything repea..." Matt then decided to shut that down, wrapping Gabby's arm around her back so that he can make sure that she's happy. "Hey, don't even think that way Gabby. Please, don't think that way." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, knowing that she can't think that way. "Right, sorry." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before moving his hand to the side of her head; after which, he got close to her and then kissed her forehead softly. "Gabby, I'm here; and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that everything is okay." Gabby agreed.
Getting nice and close to Matt, Gabby smiled due to the fact that she knew that was the case. Why she's doubting that, she was no clue. But right now, she has no need do doubt her loving husband; rather, she just needs to lean up and kiss him softly. And that was exactly what she just started to do, she kissed him softly and took things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. "God, I love you so much." That's when Gabby heard Andy bark. "And I love you too Andy." That's when Matt and Gabby both heard Jay walk up behind them. "Actually, I think he's barking because I just came out with Max." Turning around to look at Jay, Gabby smiled. "Hey, we didn't expect to see you until we visited." Jay was confused. "Oh, do you have..." Gabby nodded. "Well, maybe we're hoping." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that. "Do you want to tell him?" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt ask her that, before looking at Jay. "Me and Matt think that the doctors were wrong when they first told us how many kids we're having, and we think we're having twins instead."
After hearing Gabby say that, Jay was a bit shocked; especially since he knows exactly what she's talking about, because he's had the same experience in the past. In fact, they went to the same doctor as them. And they told them that they were having two daughters, yet they ended up having a boy and a girl; so, maybe Matt and Gabby had something to it. "I have to say, I wouldn't be shocked if that happened." Matt was confused as he heard Jay say that, unsure as to why that was the case. "What do you mean?" Jay smiled. "We went to the same doctor back in Los Angeles, and we got told that we were having two daughters; but we ended up having one daughter, and a son." Gabby agreed with Jay as he said that, well aware that was the case. "Well, then I think that this most definitely can happen unfortunately." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before rubbing her back. "So, listen; we were going to go up and see you guys just to say hi, but I think we'll do it after we go get a scan to see whether we're really having twins." Jay agreed.
"Well, I hope that you guys get the news that you guys want to have." Matt agreed with Jay as he said that, well aware that was the case. "And I hope that you guys get news that you guys are going to get out soon, because I know that would be the news that I would love to have gotten so soon after giving birth; but now, we're going to go up. Maybe we should go see Alex first." Jay then thought about it. "Actually, how about you do that, and I can get Natalie to come join us? Then you can talk to her, and she can get you that scan you want?" Matt agreed with Jay as he said that, really liking that idea. "Thanks Jay." Jay agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling at him. "Well, I like that idea." Jay smirked as he heard Matt say that, before watching as he walked away with Gabby so that they could both go see his wife; at the same time, Jay turned his head to look at Max. "Okay, let's go to the washroom and take a quick walk Max; you need to get some exercise." Barking, Max agreed as he proceeded to make his way over to the grass right now.

Making their way up to the NICU, Matt and Gabby both smiled as they find themselves having happy memories here instead of having bad memories here; and that was due to the fact that they're happy that they had the twins here, because that was exactly what they both wanted to do. They wanted to have the boys here, even though they had them early. But now, they are happy and healthy; and that was all that mattered at the end of the day, that they're happy and healthy. They just hoped that they don't need to be here again. That was the last thing that they wanted, and they are both happy with each other. But now, they are ready to find a bunch of things out; including whether they are going to be having twins, or not. But first, they need to visit Alex. Well, after they run into Natalie (well, Andy did). "Hey, watch it." Looking down, Natalie saw a service vest. "Oh, I'm so sorry sir." Turning around when he heard Natalie say that, Matt just smiled. "No, it's okay; I should've kept him close." Natalie agreed with Matt, smiling at him.
"Hey, what are you guys going here?" Smiling, Gabby proceeded to make her way over to the doctor (and expecting mother); she then proceeded to hug her and smile. "Good, we're just here to visit Jay and Alex." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that. "And we actually wanted to run into you at some point." Gabby smiled, agreeing with Matt; after all, that was the case. After which, she decided to get close to Matt. "How about you explain to Natalie, while I go say hi to Alex before Max gets back?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before leaning up and proceeding to kiss him softly. "Sounds good." Matt then looked down at Andy. "C'mon Andy, let's go say hi to Alex." Andy then walked away with Matt so that they can go see their friend, while Gabby also speaks to the doctor that was there. "Listen, I'm sorry that I thought that...." Gabby laughed as she looked at Natalie. "Hey, take a breath and just relax Natalie. It's more than okay. But I'm just glad that I ran into you, maybe not literally." Natalie laughed and agreed with Gabby.
"Go, what's on your mind?" Gabby took a breath as Natalie asked her that. "Listen, I know that this is crazy; but I am starting to wonder whether I'm really just having one baby, because I've been having dreams about it." Natalie was a bit taken aback when she heard Gabby say that, but she didn't discount what she was saying. "I mean, we went to the same doctor as Jay and Alex did; and they got the gender wrong, so what if they got the number of kids wrong? Add in the fact that I was previously diagnosed...." Natalie then understood. "I know, you always get the wrong news at first." Gabby took a breath. "And I trust you Natalie, and you're our doctor. If you think that it isn't worth it, then we w..." Natalie then got close to Gabby, smiling as she put her hands on her arms. "Hey, take a breath. I am not going to discount what you're saying, because I hear what you're saying; and I believe you." Gabby smiled as she heard Natalie say that, before getting close to her so that she can hug her. "Also, I wouldn't mind getting the gender too."
Natalie smiled as she heard Gabby say that, before grabbing her hand. "I love that idea, and I am so glad that's the case." Natalie then proceeded to walk away so that she can go get everything ready, while Gabby walked into Alex's room so that she could join Matt in there. "Well, I think that we both know that you're going to be enjoying a bunch of quality time with Jay and your kids for a while." Alex laughed as she heard Matt say that, as that most definitely was the truth. "As long as I can keep him out of the office you mean." That's when Gabby came in and spoke to Alex. "You can keep him out of the office as long as you want, by staying away from the penthouse." Turning around to look at Gabby, Matt smiled as he extended his hand to bring her close. "Hey you." Gabby smiled as she made her way over to Matt so that she can get close to the man she loves. "How are you feeling Alex?" Alex smiled as she looked at the mother. "I'm pretty good. So, what brings you here again?" Matt smiled as he turned his head and looked at his beautiful wife.
After which, he leaned in and proceeded to kiss her softly. "We think that we're actually pregnant with twins rather than a single daughter." Alex was shocked as she heard Matt say that, before looking at Gabby. "Wow, now if that isn't something special." Gabby agreed as she turned to look at Matt. "it also means that I'm not the only one getting surgery if this is the case." Turning his head, Matt was confused as Gabby say that. "You really think that I'm the only one taking counter measures to make sure that we're done after this? Oh, hell no. If I give you daughters, then I'm done having kids; and that also means that you need to get sterilized, before you even think about getting sex with me after I give birth to the twins." Alex laughed as she heard Gabby say that, before watching as she walked away to the sink so that she can wash her hands (and see the Halstead twins). Going to wash her hands, Gabby smiled at Alex. "You still on pain meds?" Alex agreed. "I'm going to keep taking them for a bit longer." Gabby smiled, agreeing with Alex.
After which, she went to grab a paper towel to dry off her hands. Making her way over to the cribs afterwards, Gabby smiled due to the fact that their twins are adorable. "God, they are so adorable." Alex agreed with Gabby as she said that. "I'll take your word for it, because I haven't really had a chance to go see them." Gabby hates that was the case, before looking at the mother. "I'm sorry that's the case Alex." Alex agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. Looking at the twins, Gabby smiled as she reached in. "I think that we're just going to stay for a minute, and then we'll let you go; because we need to go do something." Alex agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I think you definitely want to go find out the real gender of your twins; because last time I checked, your dreams always come true somehow." Matt agreed with Alex as she said that because that was the case. "I know, isn't that weird?" Alex nodded, smiling at the father as he said that. "What are their names?"
Turning around, Matt was confused. "What are you talking about?" Alex snickered. "In your dreams, what are the names of your daughters?" Matt smiled. "Bella and Emily." Alex smiled. "Well, that's a nice name. I just hope that you guys get your dream come true." Gabby agreed with Alex as she said that, because that was exactly what they want too. After which, Matt smiled as he walked up to Michael and Olivia (while also putting his hand on Gabby's back); after which, he smiled as he went to rub the top of Michael's head. "Hello future Casey Police employee." Alex laughed as she heard Matt say that, as that most definitely isn't something that she's going to do. "Stop that, because my father is already going to call him a cop; and I am not going to make him do anything that he doesn't want, and I expect you guys to do the same for our kids." Gabby agreed with Alex as she said that, before turning to look at Matt. "And we can make sure that happens, because Matt is going to do the same for our children." Alex agreed with Gabby.
"Well, I am glad that that you guys are going to have an easy time with your kids." Gabby agreed with Alex, smiling at her; after which, both she and Matt took another look at their twins. "So, what are you guys going to do after you guys find out the genders?" Matt smiled as he turned to look at Alex as she asked them that. "We're going to our big house and spending the weekend there." Alex agreed with Matt as he said that, glad that was the case. "Just the weekend?" Gabby shrugged. "Maybe a couple days after, we haven't figured it out yet." Matt nodded, smiling as he proceeded to rub her back; not wanting her to be stressed, especially if she's pregnant with twins. "Just take it easy baby, you need to relax in case we have twins." Gabby agreed with Matt as she said that, ready to find out whether they're having twins; because that's really what she wants to have, she wants to have twins and have a big family. And let's just say that they are ready to go find out what that is. So, they are going to go see Natalie as soon as they can.

The little visit that they just had with the Halstead family was really nice, because it gave them a good reminder of what could be their future if Gabby is in fact pregnant with twins; and that was actually what they were in the midst of talking about, as they made their way down to the Health Center where Natalie worked (so that they can get a new scan). But right now, they just need to talk about what they need to ensure they're ready for. Taking a breath, Matt looked at Gabby. "Hey, so...are you okay right now?" Turning her head, Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was okay. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just brings back a lot of memories." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Of course, I know that." Moving his hand to Gabby's back, he rubbed it and just held her close; after which, he proceeded to kiss the side of her head. "You need to take it easy, and you just need to relax okay? We're going to be okay." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well are that was the case. "I know."
Smiling at his beautiful wife, Matt wrapped his arm around her and just smiled as he wrapped his arm around her back nice and tight; at the same time, Gabby wrapped her arm around his back as they held each other close. Turning his head, Matt smiled as he kissed the side of Gabby's head. "I promise, everything will be okay." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, continuing to lead her away so that they can make sure that they get a real diagnosis. "So, what do you think of the possibility of us having twins?" Gabby smiled as Matt asked her what she thought about them having twins. "I actually really like that idea, and I am ready to do just that. I just hope that it's girls because I'm not sure if I can do five boys." Matt smiled as he looked at his beautiful wife. "I think you mean four boys, and a man." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before walking up to the elevator; after which, she proceeded to push the button to go up and got close to Matt.
Wrapping his arm around Gabby, Matt smiled as he bent down and proceeded to kiss her softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt smirked due to the fact that he was really happy. "I love you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I know." Matt just smiled due to the fact that this is what they both want to do, and that's due to the fact that they want to find out some news. The news that they have twins. They just have to know that's the case, don't ask how.

Making their way into the clinic shortly after coming to the floor, Gabby smiled as she proceeded to take out her wallet while walking up to the desk. "Hi." Looking up, the receptionist smiled at the pending mother. "Hi, how can I help?" Gabby smiled. "Gabriela Casey for Dr. Natalie Halstead?" The receptionist smiled and was about to answer when Natalie came out. "Don't worry about it Georgina, I already got it. I've been waiting for them remember?" Turning her head, Georgina agreed with the doctor. "Of course, Dr. Halstead." Gabby laughed as she heard Natalie say that, glad that she already spoke to the reception. "So, I can only assume that you're already ready for us?" Natalie agreed. "I made sure to get the big room so that we have enough room for Andy here." Looking down at Andy, Natalie smiled; at the same time, Matt nodded. "Go ahead Natalie." Natalie then proceeded to rub his head. "Hey buddy." She then got up and smiled at her friends. "C'mon guys, let's get you back here so that we can get you all checked out." Gabby agreed.
Letting go of Matt's hand so that they can walk in with Natalie, Gabby smiled; however, Matt couldn't help but look around at just how nice the clinic is. "God, I am starting to get nervous." Natalie and Gabby were both confused as they heard Matt say that, before turning to look at him. "What are you talking about baby?" Matt smiled. "This is a really nice clinic, are you sur that you're going to want to leave for our clinic once it's set up?" Natalie laughed as she heard Matt say that. "Last time I checked, I have no choice but to do that per the terms of my contract." Matt laughed a bit as he heard Natalie say that. "I wouldn't hold it against you, but I know that I pay you more than you ever get here at the clinic." Natalie agreed with Matt as he said that, because that most definitely is the case. "Tell me about it. I'm literally right back to the bottom now that I started here." Matt agreed with Natalie as they walked into the exam room that they were going to be using, before smiling as he looked down at Andy. "Andy, in here. Go in here." Andy then agreed.
Walking in with them, Andy smiled as he got ready to relax while Gabby got a scan. "So, you guys think that you guys are having twins again? Any reason?" Matt sighed. "I've been dreaming about it, and they're normally true." Natalie agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I swear, it's creepy that it's so true." Gabby laughed as she heard Natalie say that before looking at the dress. "Shit, I just realized something." Going to close the door behind him, Matt looked down at Andy. "Go lay down Andy." Andy agreed and went to do just that; meanwhile, Matt looked at his beautiful wife. "Here, how about you let me help you?" Gabby agreed.

He was currently sitting down next to Gabby in the chair that they have for dad's to use, holding her hand so that they can both look at the screen where they're going to be seeing their children. "Okay, I think we both know what's going to happen here." Matt and Gabby both agreed with Natalie as she said that, before watching as she went to put the doppler on her stomach. At the same time, Natalie smiled as she proceeded to start finding the heartbeat; and luckily, it didn't take that long. And there was a reason for that, a reason that they were both extremely happy about; because it was their dream come true. "I always thought that the heartbeat was a bit too loud for a normal heart." Matt smiled as he heard Natalie say that, starting to think about what she was just saying; after which, she turned the monitor towards the parents so that they could look while she moved the doppler around. "Okay, so here's the first baby." Gabby agreed with Natalie as she said that, before watching. "And it looks out that you were right Gabby, here's baby number two."
Matt smirked. "Can you tell us the genders by any chance?" Natalie smiled as she proceeded to look around again, trying to find the genders. And lucky for the parents, she was able to; but unfortunately, not just for their twins. "Uhm, this is going to be hard." Matt and Gabby were both alarmed when they heard Natalie say that. "What's wrong?" Natalie sighed as she went to zoom in on the picture. "Well, here are the twins. And I'm proud to say that they're both girls." Gabby agreed with Natalie as she said that. "Still waiting for the bad news." Natalie then took a breath and zoomed in again. "And here's your son...who doesn't have a heartbeat."
