Normal POV
During the early months of winter, Vera would host a small garden party to view the rare Frost Lilies that only bloom during the colder months of the year.
Bella and her family were invited and she wore a white and blue dress to match the aesthetic of winter.
Though it was still early, winter came a lot quicker this year so bella wore warmer clothes and boots.
Once they arrived Bella's parents left to talk to the older guest and bella walked around looking for any familiar faces.
"Lady Swift!!!" Two small voices yelled
Princess Amari and Prince Elias ran toward bella the 12-year-old twins threw themselves in Bella's arms and hugged her.
"See Elias I told you Lady Swift would show up, I told you! i told you!" Amari said
"It's an honour your highnesses, I've never met your highnesses how could you expect my arrival so much?" Bella asked
"Who wouldn't expect Qamar's reincarnation to come to their home?" Amari said
"Shh, Riri, mama said we shouldn't say that you know what happened to cousin Khalid," Elias said
"Oop! Sorry i hope i didn't offend you?" Amari asked
"Of course not princess, and don't worry Damien was only playing with him," Bella said
"That's right, i hardly doubt a count's daughter could be the reincarnate of a goddess," Enisha said, she walked up to where they were with a smug look on her face.
"It is possible, deities come in human forms that resemble their celestial forms so it is possible," Elias said
"Hmph she's not that special, what qualifications does she have for such a great title?" Enisha asked
"You win over the most eligible bachelor in Hyperion AND a Ricross award then we can talk about qualifications E.NI.SHA" Amari said, though she was twelve she was known for her outspoken nature while Elias was more docile.
"You should learn to fix that wild tongue of yours," Enisha said
"You're just jealous!" Elias yelled
"Jealous? Pft don't be ridiculous, jealous of what?!" Enisha said scowling at bella,
"You're jealous that she's better than you at everything, she's prettier than you, smarter than you, and has an awesome partner not to mention her mum's a whole lot nicer than yours!" Amari yelled
Anger raged in enisha's veins as these words escaped their mouths, the guest began to whisper amongst themselves, and enisha clenched her fist, soon a tiny yellow crystal formed in her palm,
"Know your place you half-blood rats!!!" Enisha said, ignorantly trying to use their hyperian and aspharian genes against them as she launched a crystal shard at amari
"Your Highnesses!" Bella said, she shielded amari and elias with her body, but the crystal shard left a gash on her arm below her shoulder.
"Mama! Lady Swift got hurt!" Amari yelled
"What?! Bella! Are you okay!?!?" Theresa yelled, she had heard amari yell and came running,
"Princess Enisha have you lost your mind, why would you dare harm my daughter!?" Theresa yelled, the whites of her eyes almost faded into black and her nails instantly grew longer as she held bella.
"How could you try to harm the prince and princess, if you have grievances with me, come at me! but why take out your anger on young children, I can't even imagine what would have happened if I did not block the shard!" Bella cried.
"Countess Swift, what is the meaning of this?" Vera asked, she was at a farther part of the garden and thus did not hear Amari's scream.
"Bella? What happened?" Liam yelled, he was with his father but followed the queen behind to find out what was happening.
"Waaah! Mama, enisha is so mean, she was picking on bella so we tried to defend her, who would have guessed that she would try to hurt us, but lady swift she *sniff* blocked the shard, she got hurt, mama!" Amari and elias cried
"She what?! Lord Hart, take Countess Swift and Lady Swift, i will ask a maid to summon the imperial physician. And you? Are you out of your mind, will you even try to harm children to bring even more shame upon this family?!" Vera yelled, she was fuming with rage, the rage that was particular to an angry, protective mother.
"Your words are too harsh! They're the ones who provoked me!" Enisha yelled
"I thought you would be repentant but i can see you are beyond reasoning! Princess Enisha i hereby ground you for two weeks, besides school, and within your palace, you are banned from leaving!"
"Y-you dare! You can't lock me up I'm a princess!"
"And I'm a Queen!!!" Vera yelled, Enisha ran away from the crowd of judgemental eyes back to her palace.
Bella was taken to a room in the palace where the physician took out the shard, disinfected her wounds, and stitched her wound.
"*hiss* It hurts," Bella whined
"It's okay it'll be over soon, bear with it" Liam stood beside her and held her other hand, comforting her.
"The emperor has arrived!!!" A voice announced, Liam and Theresa bowed
"At ease, how is Lady Swift's wound?" Johannes asked
"Replying to your majesty, the gash was fortunately not deep, since it was treated in time it would not be infected as long as the bandaging is done and the stitches do not open"
"Good, I must thank you for protecting my children, enisha has always been crass when she spoke, if there is anything i can do to ease your worries then just ask"
"Forgive my rudeness your majesty, but the princess actions today far surpassed crass speech, if my cousin had not blocked that shard it would have most likely ended up in either the prince or princess' chest, mere stitches won't solve the issue," Liam said
"Yes, you are. . .right, i will discipline her later to make sure this does not repeat itself" Johannes said with a slightly worried look on his face as if he did not like the idea of punishing enisha.
Minutes after Johannes left, a maid came in with a container in her hand,
"Greetings, I am a maid from the Fourth Princess' palace, she heard of what happened to Lady Swift and sent an ointment that can help with scars" The maid presented the jar of ointment to Theresa,
"Then please thank her highness on my behalf," Bella said.
"Will do my lady, I take my leave" The maid said before quietly leaving the room.
"At least there are more sensible people than not in this family" Liam scoffed
"Liam! Where did you learn to speak like that, hush now!" Theresa scolded
"Sorry Aunty" Liam apologized
Meanwhile in Roanna's palace
"You useless thing!!!". A voice roared through the palace halls, all the servants quivered in fear not daring to approach the room where the ruckus was coming from. Those closer could hear the sound of ceramics and wood breaking.
"You good for nothing waste of 9 months, what were you thinking?!?!" Roanna yelled. Enisha, practically kowtowing to her mother shivered, her mind raged with answers but her mouth refused to convey them.
"No answers ey? what did I expect from a wretch-like child!? You almost killed those two rats, I know I said I wished them dead but if your going to take me literally at least do it where the fucking Queen can't see you!!!" Roanna yelled, she threw more things at enisha who just knelt there motionless in fear
"I'm s-sorry mother" Enisha managed to say with her bleeding forehead and bruised body.
"Don't call me that till you can prove that you're my child because I refuse to believe I gave birth to such a useless thing. just get out!!!"
"Yes, moth-" Ensiah paused before weakly walking out the door and closing it behind her, she passed the stares of pity and disgust from the servants and soon made it to her room where she applied medicine to her wounds, this medicine had been secretly sourced by Roanna and had the almost miraculous ability to completely fade scars and bruises, one can only guess that this was to hide the evidence of her acts of abuse towards enisha.
She weakly slumped into bed and did not even have the strength to cry herself to sleep, the effects of her weak, tattered body were enough to send her off to a deep sleep.
