"Welcome back! You guys are about to hear about the invention that I personally like to think is the best one that Donnie and I could've ever made. I got one word for you: Metalhead."

WITHIN A WAREHOUSE that the kranng were inside, the five mutant turtles alongside with Boy Danger and Captain Violet were in the middle of fighting the alien robots once again. "Keep moving. Don't let them surround you. Failure is not an option." Leonardo calls out to his team.

"Technically, failure is always an option." Donatello said.

"You know what else is an option?" Raphael questioned with a frown. "Slapping you!"

"Focus, you two!" Boy Danger reminded them, using his weapon to slice a kranng droid in half.

As Donatello went to hit a kranng droid with his staff, nothing happened to it. "Are you kidding me? I hate this thing!"

"Nice work," Raphael said as he took out the droid that was about to shoot the purple masked mutant turtle. "When we're done here, there's a marching band that needs a majorette."

While the others were fighting the alien robots and slicing them in half with ease, Donatello was the only one that wasn't able to make any damage with his staff. "Everyone, stand your ground!" Leonardo called out, before spotting the powerful kranng machine. "On second thought, run!"

Just as the machine started shooting lasers at them, the seven teenagers managed to jump away in time.

"Oh, come on!" Donatello complained just as one of the lasers blew up his staff.

"Dude, your weapon just exploded!" Michelangelo called out towards him.

Donatello ran and took cover behind a corner. "How am I supposed to fight advanced alien technology with a stupid stick?"

Then, he runs back to where the others are, who are now cornered. "Kranng, destroy those who call themselves the turtles, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet when that which is the signal is the signal that is given by me." One of the alien robots ordered.

Reaching into his belt, Boy Danger took out a ninja star and threw it at the worker cart, turning it on. It drove right into the kranng machine and just as the seven teenagers jumped out of the warehouse, the machine exploded.

"Dumb luck." Raphael said.

"Nope, not luck and dumb had nothing to do with it." Boy Danger said with a smirk.

The sound of grunting caught their attention and they looked over to see Donatello trying to carry something out. "Hey, give me a hand with this."

"A hand with what?" Captain Violet questioned.

Donatello motioned to what he was holding and they all went over, helping him carry it. "We're carrying this thing because why?" Raphael asked.

"Don't you want to understand how these things work?" Donatello asked.

"No," Eclipse denied with a shrug. "Not really."

Raphael then added in agreement. "I know how they work. You hit them till the brainy toy surprise pops out."

"That's your problem, Raph," Donatello said as he dropped the alien robot's body into the sewer but it didn't fit. "You never think things through."

"Was that supposed to fit?"

👑👑👑

"THIS TECHNOLOGY IS light-years ahead of anything I've ever seen!" Donatello said, looking at the kranng body. "Do you know what this is?"

"No." April answered.

"Neither do I! But I can't wait to find out!" Donatello said excitedly.

"Look, Spike," Raphael said with a smirk. "Donnie got another stick to break."

"With all due respect, sensei," Donatello said. "I can't keep fighting alien technology with a six-foot staff. I was hoping to upgrade my weapon."

"Hm, a seven-foot staff. Interesting." Splinter said.

"No, I meant using modern technology." Donatello said.

"Ah, a solar-powered staff." Splinter said.

"I'm serious, sensei."

"I know, and yes, you may upgrade your weapon."

Immediately, Donatello frowned and spoke up, not realizing what he said at first. "That's totally unfair! You can't just— wait, did you say yes?"

Splinter nodded. "Ninjas have improved their arsenal for centuries. We are masters of adaption."

"That is great!" Donatello said happily. "Cause with this technology, I will be invincible! What should I make? Electric sais? Multi-shot shuriken? Plasma swords! I just gave myself goosebumps! You wanna feel? Eh?"

His siblings couldn't help but facepalmed at those words while April shook her head. "Pass."

"But remember, technology is a means, not an end. It is you who must prevail in battle, not your weapon. Combat is not a video game." Splinter advised seriously.

"That's it! I'll turn combat into a video game!" Donatello said, standing up from where he was sitting. "Thanks, sensei!"

Then, the purple masked mutant turtle walked into the lab where Briana already was, sitting at the desk since she was using the computer to search something up. Her sapphire blue eyes scanned the bright screen as she read the title of the website over and over again.

The Myth of Princess Briana Gem Sentry.

Briana didn't know why but there was something about it that made the girl curious. Despite the fact that she believes her adoptive father isn't keeping anything from her, she still felt like there was something about her that she didn't know and she had a feeling that just maybe, it had to do with this.

"Hey, Little Genius," Donatello said, catching her attention by the nickname he has for her. "Do you want to help me?"

Forgetting all about the website, Briana felt a grin come onto her face as she nodded, clicking off the website. "Sure!" She said happily.

👑👑👑

"HEY, GUYS! CHECK out this post I got." April said from where she was sitting on the couch with her laptop on her lap.

"Hang on, April, I just have to destroy Lame-O-Nardo." Raphael said as he and Leonardo played, the game ending with Raphael winning.

Raphael smacked Leonardo in the back of the head but as they sat down with the others, Leonardo smacked the red masked mutant turtle right back.

"I set up a message board to collect unusual sightings around New York," April informed. "People send in pics, videos. I also get some stuff that may help us track the kranng and find my dad. Like this video of a gas explosion."

April then played the video on her laptop. "A kranng droid!" Leonardo said.

Michelangelo let out a quick scream as he fell off the couch where he was taking a nap. "Ah! Where!?"

"Not here, you knucklehead." Eclipse told him.

"We'll check it out tonight." Leonardo said.

"Why not now?" April argued.

"Because it's daytime and they can't get spotted." Henry said.

"Well, I can." April said, closing her laptop and standing up from her seat.

"April, think about this. It could be dangerous." Leonardo said with a serious tone.

"You know what else could be dangerous?" April asked as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Standing between me and my father."

Leonardo looked over at the others and Henry, who shrugged. "Okay," Leonardo said and with that, he moved out of the way, letting April leave.

👑👑👑

"WHAT DO YOU make of this, Dr. Mindstrong?"

"This is very disturbing, Captain, sensors indicate," there was an alien screech then a crash. "Everything is fine."

"Great galaxies!"

"Captain, what's happening?"

"Dr. Mindstrong's been taken over by the Cortexicons."

"What'll we do? What'll we do?"

A loud smack was heard.

"Ow!"

"There's only one thing we can do. Dr. Mindstrong must be destroyed."

"What a hero." Leonardo said, his eyes fixated on the tv.

Suddenly, there was a thunderously metal clanging and everything started shaking. The clanging continued as they looked over to see that the suspect causing the clanging was a robot.

"Take me to your leader!" The leader said.

"Leo, Henry, it's for you." Michelangelo answered with a bored expression on his face.

Both Leonardo and Henry stood up and stared at the robot curiously. "Okay, what is that thing?" Leonardo asked.

"I don't know but I can think of two people that built it." Henry added, much to their agreement.

"Gentlemen, ladies, and Raphael," Donatello said as he and Briana stepped out. "This is the future of Ninjstu."

"So, is this what you two have been working on in there the whole time?" Eclipse questioned.

Briana nodded. "Yep!"

"I always thought the future of Ninjstu would be taller." Raphael stated.

"Aw, he's so cute." Michelangelo said, tickling the robot's chin. The robot then got a bunch of weapons out, Michelangelo screamed and jumped back.

"He doesn't like being tickled." Donatello said as he patted the robot's head. "Isn't it cool? We reverse-engineered it from the kranng droid."

"Okay, why?" Leonardo asked.

"So, the drone can handle the dangerous stuff while we stay out of harm's way." Donatello explained.

"Oh, I get it. This is for wimps too afraid to fight." Raphael said.

"No, it's for wimps too smart to fight." Donatello argued.

Briana patted the robot's head. "I named him Metalhead."

"Ooh, I get why! Because it's got a head and it's made of—" Michelangelo started.

"We get it." Eclipse told him.

"I don't need a toaster to fight my battles for him." Raphael said.

"Wouldn't this take the whole point out of being a ninja?" Henry questioned.

"It's exactly the point of being a ninja, we adapt. Now, watch this. Attack the drone, give it all you've got."

"You sure? I don't want to break your toy." Leonardo said.

"I do!"

As they went in to attack the robot, Briana stood back and watched as Donatello made Metalhead fight back, beating them with ease as the others were in a pile.

"I kicked your shells! And I didn't even have to use the laser cannon! Face it, guys, with this thing, I'm invincible!" Donatello said.

"Oh, yeah?" Raphael said as he quickly stood up and used his sai to knock the remote out of his hands.

"You know what I mean." Donatello said as he went to retrieve the remote. But as he kneeled down and reached for it, Splinter appeared in front of him and the purple masked mutant turtle looked back up. "Sensei, I was wondering if I could take Metalhead out for a spin tonight?"

Splinter remained silent for a while. "You may."

"That's totally unfair! You can't just—!" Donatello stopped when he realized what he said. "Wait, what?"

"You and Briana have created this new weapon," Splinter said as he walked over to Metalhead and patted its head. "We must see how well it works."

"Well, that's great!" Donatello said as he bowed his head. "Thank you, sensei!"

"But, this is a test only," Splinter said firmly. "Do not take it into combat."

"No problem, sensei." Donatello assured.

Splinter looked at him for a moment before turning around and going into the dojo. The second he was out of sight, everyone turned towards the purple masked mutant turtle. "You're taking it into combat, aren't you?" Eclipse asked.

"Totally!" Donatello confirmed.

👑👑👑

THEY WERE AT the area where the gas explosion had taken place. Boy Danger, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Eclipse, and Captain Violet were kneeling down on the rooftop as they were observing the area below. There was a whirring sound and they all turned, Metalhead jumped onto the roof, cracking the concrete. Captain Violet winched at the sound, hoping that nobody would hear the sound. The robot ran over, making loud stomping noises with each step then stopping before them and steam shot out of each side of its head, making a loud, squeaking sound.

"Should we double back?" Leonardo asked, clearly irritated. "I think there's a car alarm he didn't set off."

"Maybe we should make it walk around some more," Boy Danger added, clearly irritated as well. "I don't think we woke everyone in the building just yet."

"I kinda like it." Raphael kneeled in front of the robot and patted its head. "It goes nicely with all the sirens and cries for help."

"Oh, come on! You guys are just jealous!" Donatello's voice issued from Metalhead's speakers. "Cause you're out in the cold, and I'm here eating Mikey's last slice of pizza."

"Hey!" Michelangelo punched the robot then yelped in pain. "Ow!"

"Not trying to say that this thing isn't useless," Eclipse said. "But you guys couldn't add a stealth mode on this thing or something?"

"It's a work-in-progress." Donatello explained.

"To be fair, it'll take some time to install something like that into Metalhead's system." Captain Violet added as well.

"Hello?" A quiet voice whispered.

"Guys, quiet," Leonardo whispered. "Someone's coming." At once, they all dropped to their knees. Metalhead did too, but very noisily.

"Guys, it's me," the voice said again and this time, they recognized it.

"April!" Leonardo exclaimed. They jumped over the edge and landed in the alley below.

"Guys!" April said happily. "I was just looking for you!"

Suddenly, something large landed in the dumpster right behind her. It tipped over and fell on its side, loud noises issuing from the inside. Then, the kid swung open and Metalhead stepped out, standing in front of April while looking up at her. Both Boy Danger and Leonardo couldn't help but facepalm at the scene.

"Still, it's stealthier than the real Donatello." Raphael said simply.

"Eh, you're not wrong." Eclipse said with a shrug in agreement.

"What the heck is that?" April asked.

"Donnie's and Violet's latest, brilliant creation," Leonardo explained. "Metalhead."

Metalhead's mouth dropped open and Donatello's voice sounded loudly from the bullhorn instead of the speakers. "Oh, sorry, April!" They all winched and covered their ears to block out the whining feedback. Boy Danger flinched from how loud the noise sounded to his ears, not realizing how sensitive his ears would be to the sound. "I'm still getting used to the controls—"

"Donnie," Captain Violet said. "The bullhorn."

"Uh? Oh... whoops." Metalhead's mouth closed over the bullhorn. "Megaphone button got stuck."

"Guys, we gotta do something!" April said quickly. "The kranng are gonna poison the city's water supply with mutagen! The whole city will become a disaster area!"

"There'll be mutants everywhere!" Donatello exclaimed.

"Wow, think of all the friends we could make!" Michelangelo said, hugging Metalhead's head with excitement. They all turned their heads to stare at him. "Well, excuse me for being a glass half-full kinda guy."

"Let's go!" Leonardo and Boy Danger started running with the others following.

"Yeah! The kranng don't stand a chance!" Donatello said excitedly. Leonardo and Boy Danger skidded to a halt, and everyone else stopped too. The leader and second-in-command held out a hand, stopping the bot in its place. "What?"

"Donnie, we need to hang back," Leonardo said firmly. "Metalhead is just too clumsy, it'll get in our way."

"Clumsy?" Metalhead threw its arms out in exaggeration but accidentally knocked over a couple of trashcans in the progress, causing the two to fold their arms over their chest. "I did that on purpose to emphasize my point."

"You're not coming, Donnie," Boy Danger said sternly. "I'm sorry." Then, he and Leonardo turned to leave with the others following.

👑👑👑

"LOOKS LIKE A kranng picnic down there," Leonardo said softly from where they were crouched in the rafters.

"Ready to bash some bots?" Eclipse asked with a smirk.

"Destroy some droids?" Raphael added with a smirk as well.

"Clean some closets!" Captain Violet blinked, she and the others turned to stare at the orange masked mutant turtle, who stared back at them. "Uh... I meant to said crush some kranng?"

None of them paid any attention to that mistake before they all jumped down, taking out the kranng droids with their respective weapons. Each and every one of them were dodging the kranng's aim as well. At one point during the fight, they all started struggling with how many alien robots were there.

"Ah! They're everywhere!" Michelangelo shouted. "Run!"

"We're trapped!" Leonardo yelled as he and the others were hiding behind a bunch of crates with the kranng advancing in on them.

"Or maybe, they're the ones who are trapped? Hm?" Michelangelo asked, sitting on his knees and peeked his head up over the old barrel he and Eclipse were hiding behind. A second later, he yelled and ducked back just as a laser barely missed his head. "No! It's us! What do we do?"

The sound of glass smashing rang throughout the building. They looked around the barrel and saw Metalhead standing on a pile of kranng, his arms stuck out at awkward angles.

"Donnie, what are you doing?" Boy Danger snapped. "What's wrong with your arms?"

"My hands aren't on my hips?"

"No!" Both Boy Danger and Leonardo hissed.

"Sorry." Donatello chuckled sheepishly. "Forgot to press B."

The arms whirled around for a moment before landing on the robot's hips. The kranng powered up their weapons, aimed them at the little drone, and then fired. The lasers hit Metalhead with brutal force but didn't have any effect on the robot. The drones continued to fire until they realized their weapons were doing no good and stopped.

"Now it's my turn!" Metalhead's left hand retracted into its arm and a large gun barrel replaced it. "Eat hot laser!" Large, blue lasers shot out of the gun. Within seconds, it took down most of the kranng. Over all the noise, they could hear Donatello laughing. "Hahaha! You want some of this!? Whoo! Hahaha! Yeah, baby!"

Metalhead aimed its right hand at the kranng and the fist detached itself from the arms and started flying around the room, punching down every kranng droid that got in the way. The hand punched a few more kranng before coming back to the end of Metalhead's arm. Then, the drone turned its head towards the ninjas. "Hey, Raph! How does it feel to be shown up by a toaster?"

"Oh, burn!" Michelangelo said while Raphael glared at the little bot.

"Yeah, I thought that was a good one."

"Watch out!" "Donnie, focus!" Boy Danger and Leonardo called out. Several more kranng droids were coming up behind Metalhead.

"Oh! Right!" Metalhead turned around and huge flames shot from his arm, scorching the kranng droids. Once they were down, Metalhead retracted the flamethrower and replaced it with the laser gun from before. The drones started firing everywhere at the alien robots. It turned, and the ninjas yelped as they ducked behind their hiding spots to avoid getting hit.

"Hey!" Eclipse yelled.

"Dude!" Michelangelo snapped.

"Oops! Sorry, guys!"

"Donnie, watch the friendly fire!" Leonardo ordered.

But he wasn't listening. Donatello was too busy having the time of his life with shooting the kranng. "Here's some for you! And some for you!" His gamer-crazed voice issued from the bot. "Oh, yeah! I saved a little for you too! How'd that taste?" He fired at what appeared to be the last droid standing. The thing fell to the floor and a couple of Donatello's lasers hit a couple of gas barrels.

The barrels exploded in a wash of fire and the force knocked the other ninjas back. Metalhead was slammed into a large, metal supporter and slid to the ground as sparks were shooting from the corner of his head and the silver antenna fell to the floor.

"No! I lost the control signal!" Donatello's voice cried.

A kranng alien crawled up to Metalhead and onto its head. It was electrocuted but didn't last long. The alien wrapped its arms around Metalhead's head, closing its eyes. A few loud surging noises showed Metalhead powering back up as the drone tilted its head up, and its once-blue light bulb eyes had gone kranng pink.

"Aw, sewer apples." Captain Violet muttered under her breath.

"Uh-oh... guys!" Donatello yelled. "If you can hear me, you might wanna run!"

They all looked up to see Metalhead standing before them, the kranng still attached to its head.

"The ones that which are called the turtles, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet will now be called the turtles, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet that are..." Metalhead's mouth dropped open to expose the bullhorn, "destroyed."

"Phew!" Michelangelo sighed. "I was really afraid at the beginning of the sentence but then, I sorta just lost interest towards—" there was this loud sound of shifting metal and they all turned to see Metalhead's left hand replaced by a laser gun. "Okay! Now I'm afraid again!"

They all jumped away to avoid being shot at. "Give him everything you've got!" Leonardo ordered.

At once, they all charged and surrounded Metalhead with their weapons at hand but no matter what they did, there wasn't as much as a single scratch on him. "Now kranng will destroy you," the kranng's voice issued from Metalhead. "Which one wants to be first to be destroyed by kranng?"

"Me!"

A familiar purple masked mutant turtle jumps down from the hole in the ceiling and lands in front of Metalhead, his boe staff at hand.

"Donnie!" Michelangelo exclaimed. "Banging entrance, dude!"

"You guys deal with the droids!" Donatello ordered. "I'll handle Metalhead."

With the other ninjas taking down the kranng, Donatello was handling Metalhead. The purple masked mutant turtle was dodging the bullets that Metalhead was firing at him, which exploded against the metal supporters and crates. Metalhead fired its head but Donatello jumped over the drone, avoiding the shots. Metalhead continued to fire, his lasers going up and hitting the ceiling. Donatello landed behind him, the drone turning around to face him. The supporter on the other side of the room started coming down, straight toward Metalhead and...

"Donnie!" The others called out.

Donatello held up his boe staff just as the supporter fell. The staff was enough to keep the metal from falling and crushing him. As the dust cleared, pink sparks seemed to shoot out from the other end of Donatello's staff. Metalhead was crouched in front of the purple masked mutant turtle, forced down by the supporter and the wooden staff was shoved into his metal chest.

"Booyaskasha!" Donatello exclaimed.

"Sounds weird when he says it." Michelangelo commented.

"Sounds weird when you say it." Eclipse told him.

"That which is the revenge will be had on those who called themselves the turtles, Boy Danger, and Captain Violet..." Metalhead powered down.

The kranng alien jumped off and scrambled away as the rest of the others joined him. "Not bad, D," Boy Danger told him.

"Nice job, bro!"

"You did it!"

"Way to go, Donnie!"

"Thanks a lot, D!"

"Yeah, not bad," Raphael admitted. Then he frowned. "Except for the part where you built that thing in the first place. And the part where it broke. And the part where it tried to kill us. And the part—"

"Okay, I get it!" Donatello said.

"Come on, let's go home." Eclipse said.

👑👑👑

EVERYONE WAS HAVING fun back at the lair as they were playing one of the arcade games. Everyone but Donatello was watching Raphael trying to beat Leonardo's high score but failing. Donatello himself was sitting on the couch with a glum expression on his face as the giant rat mutant walked over to him.

"What troubles you, Donatello?" Splinter asked.

Donatello looked up at him and sighed. "This was all my fault, sensei."

"You are responsible, yes," Splinter said in agreement before continuing. "Responsible for destroying the mutagen. Responsible for saving the people of this city; responsible for defeating advanced technology using only ingenuity, bravery... and a stick."

Donatello smiled a little as he stood up. "Thanks, sensei. Maybe you're right."

"I am." Splinter said.

"I guess with proper training there's nothing better than a wooden stick," Donatello continued and Splinter nodded. "...Except a laser-guided missile launching wooden stick!" He held up a wooden stick with a missile attached to one end. Donatello slammed the other end on the ground, a loud beeping noise sounded from it as everyone looked over.

"It's not supposed to do that!" Donatello yelled. "RUN!"

At once, Henry, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, Eclipse, and Briana scattered away from the game and took off running with panicked yells leaving their lips.

"Haha! Yeah... okay, maybe Metalhead caused issues at first but I still think that Metalhead is one of the best inventions that we've made."
