Today was the day. No longer would Ben be seen as a mere prince, after today he’d be known and seen as a king of an entire country Though nervous, the idea of what his girlfriend would be wearing eased his nerves.
“So, how do I look?” He heard Nevaeh’s voice ring out as she stepped out of the bathroom. Turning around, his jaw hit the floor and his eyes went wide. Hair let down in beautiful waves, the necklace he gave her shining from its place perched on her chest, and dressed in a long, navy blue, sparkly dress with straps, Nevaeh couldn’t have looked any more beautiful.
“Y-y-you look,” Ben swallowed, subconsciously inhaling her amazing scent, and couldn’t help but act on his feelings. Pulling her close to him by her waist, Ben kissed her passionately, allowing his actions to convey his feelings. Separating for air, Ben couldn't help but smirk at her swollen lips.
“I’ll take that as a good sign.” Nevaeh chuckled.
“You look absolutely gorgeous, practically stunning. Honestly, I would love to take you here and now, but we have somewhere to be.” Ben smiled before slightly pouting. Leaning towards his ear, a smirk formed on her lips.
“Well, if you love the outside so much, something tells me you’ll love what’s underneath… that is, if you’re bold enough by the end of tonight.” She whispered seductively, grinning up at him when she felt his grip on her hips tighten. Catching himself before he went too far, Ben released his grip and took a step back.
“We’ll just have to wait and see, ma reine.” He said. Once they left the room, they headed outside to where the carriage was waiting to take them to the cathedral for his coronation.

Narissa sighed to herself, bored out of her mind as she filed her nails.
“At last, here we are broadcasting live from the coronation where Prince Benjamin will soon be crowned king! I’m Snow White bringing you up to the 2nd coverage of Who’s the Fairest of Them All!” Reported Snow White from the television that the villains sat watching, while eating popcorn.
“”I’m Snow White!”” The Evil Queen mocked, throwing popcorn at the TV.
“Oh, who is she kidding? She’s definitely had work done.” She ranted, slightly seething.
“Awe! Fairy godmother is looking radiant! But.. What is happening with Jane’s hair? Oh! And there’s Fairy godmother’s wand!” Snow recalled, gushing while the camera showed the display of the magic wand in its glass case.
“I want that wand!” Breathed Maleficent as she got closer to the TV.
“Do you? Hadn’t heard.” Cruella said sarcastically.
“Oh! And here comes Ben now!” Exclaimed Snow, the camera view showcasing the carriage Ben and Nevaeh were riding in that was pulled by 2 white ponies, the both of them waving to the crowd with smiles on their faces.
“With Nevaeh looking like some kind of-”
“Princess” Both Maleficent and Narissa breathed out, one out of bitterness and shock, while the other was out of pride and longing.
“Let’s see who this beauty is wearing. Evie, someone named Evie designed her gown.” Snow read off a card.
“Evie! That’s my daughter! Evie!” Gushed the Evil Queen as she fawned over the announcement.
“Oh, wow, she sewed a dress, meanwhile Narissa’s daughter is this close to grabbing that wand.” Maleficent retorted.
Deep down she was bitter and jealous that it hadn’t been Mal to get close to the crown or wand, but as long as the wand was stolen she’d be able to escape.
“Bitter, party of one, bitter, party of one.” E.Q repeated.
“It’s happening people! It’s happening! Guard your loins, I say, guard your loins. Our revenge begins today.” Maleficent cheered as she ran up to the second level where the balcony was.
Poised and collected, Narissa patiently waited for the time to escape, and knowing that her daughter didn’t care for the whole “stealing the wand thing”, she just wanted to reunited with her baby dragon.

As Ben and Nevaeh rode in the carriage, they waved and smiled at the crowd.
“You seem more nervous than I am, and I’m the one being crowned king.” Ben noticed before entwining their hands together.
“Relax. All you have to do is stand and look pretty. No problem there.” Ben smiled.
“Ben, I have to be honest with you because I love you, and I don’t want you to think any differently,” Nevaeh breathed out, looking him in the eyes with a serious expression that caught Ben’s attention.
“Something big will happen today, but I want you to know that I’ve already made my choice, and it’s you. It’s always you.” Nevaeh confessed, holding his cheeks in her hands before kissing him.
Ben could feel the nervousness and worry that was being poured into the kiss, and had wanted to ask her what exactly would be going on, but knew now wasn’t the best time.
Drowning out the “awe’s” and “ooh!” of the rest of the crowd, Ben kissed her back with passion while he slipped his Beast family ring onto her right index finger.
Feeling the sudden coldness of the metal around her finger, Nevaeh separated from the kiss to look down at the ring with a surprised expression.
“I want you to wear it.” He announced.
With a breathy laugh, she nodded before giving him a final kiss just as the carriage came to a stop.
Getting out first, Ben then helped Nevaeh out, the two proceeding to walk up the steps leading to the church as pictures of them were being taken.
At the end of the stairs stood Belle and Beast, both of whom Nevaeh curtsied to. As Beast took a few steps forward to approach Nevaeh closely, she held his gaze with a fierce one of her own.
“I meant what I said the other day.” She stated firmly.
“I actually came to apologize. To the both of you,” Beast addressed, a surprised look momentarily capturing Nevaeh’s face.
“I told Ben this wasn’t going to be easy.” He said.
“You also taught me that a king has to believe in himself, even when it isn’t easy.” Ben said.
“I did? I-how very wise of me.” Beast questioned before correcting his statement after a light smack from his wife. Belle reached her hands out to grasp her son’s.
“Ben, we are very proud of you. You keep listening to her and your heart." Belle proclaimed, gesturing to Nevaeh with her head, causing the prince to smile; Ben thanked his mother.
"You're going to make a fine king." Beast stated proudly, patting his son's shoulder before taking his wife's hand, and walking away.
"Wish me luck." Ben said, his eyes quickly glancing at her chest before meeting her eyes just as a throat clearing caught their attention.
With one last look, a bit of playfulness shining in her eyes, Nevaeh mouthed "good luck" to him before being led by a servant to her place of seating as his girlfriend.
As the choir sang beautifully, the four VKs exchanged glances of sorrow and hesitation from their place in the higher seated rows.
Once the double doors opened, hand placed in front of him, Ben walked down the aisle, everyone bowing at the king-to-be as he walked by. A smile graced Nevaeh's face as she watched him walk by.
After exchanging greetings with the present royals, Fairy godmother removed the crown off of Beast' head and placed it on the head of a kneeling Ben.
"That's gonna be you someday, mi hija." Orion whispered in his daughter's ear from his place behind her. Nevaeh but her lip to try and suppress the growing smile on her face as she registered her father's words.
However, nervousness came rushing and her smile was wiped away once the glass case was removed and Fairy godmother took her wand out.
"Do you solemnly swear to govern the peoples of Auradon, with justice and mercy, as long as you shall reign?" She recited.
"I do solemnly swear." Ben proclaimed.
"Then it is my honor and my joy to bless our new king." Fairy godmother beamed, gently tapping Ben's shoulders with the wand, and by doing so completed the blessing of Auradon's new king.
Suddenly, gasps filled the room as the wand was snatched out of F.G's hand, the unstable magic going berserk and sparking, making the user let out a line of magic that broke through a hole in the window and a hole in the Isle's protective barrier.
