"Way Ji-ya!" I called as I saw her standing near the school gate.
"Jennie." She said as I hugged her.
"What are you doing?" I asked and stared at her other two friends who stood erect as soon as they saw me.
"Just teaching our Hanbin here some manners." She smirked while patting the head of the scholarship student.
"Aren't you tired of this already?" I sighed.
"Tired? Never. They must pay some price for being here in a prestigious school like this for free." She said, staring at Kim Hanbin who looked like she was suffocating from the hold on his shirt's collar by one of the other two girls.
"Leave." I glared at them.
They hesitated for a second as they looked at Way Ji.
"..Jennie." Way Ji tried to protest.
"Are you making me repeat myself?" I asked as I raised my brow.
They let go of the collar and walked away. Kim Hanbin fixed her shirt and looked grateful to breath again.
"You can go." I said.
She didn't need to be told twice as she ran away. I sighed and turned towards Way Ji who looked annoyed.
"You have been bothering her a lot lately." I stated.
"So?"
"What do you mean so? Dude, is everything alright with you? You always hang out with those two girls nowadays. You don't even hang out with us anymore." I said.
"You know why." She spat.
"It's been four years. Haven't you warmed up to her yet?" I put a hand on her shoulder.
"How to warm up to the person who stole your best friend?" She said before shrugging off my hand.
"Yah. Way Ji-ya. Yah! Fakway Ji!'
She just ignored me and walked away. I let out a frustrated sigh and was about to chase after her but a familiar car stopped in front of me.
Oh, god.
The car door opened and I flinched already thinking about the pestering. Sana got out of the car and shut the door behind. She glared at me as she stood in front of me with her arms crossed.
"Oh, you came early today. I was waiting for you." I said.
"Like you were. I know better than to believe that. Have you checked your phone? Do you know how many times I called you? Have you have any idea how worried I was? You weren't at your home nor were you at your friend's place."
"I was at one of my friend's place." I replied.
"No, you weren't. I called them and you weren't there. What were you doing all night, huh? I was up so late till night that I ended up having swollen face. Aish! All you do is make me wor—"
I put my hands over her mouth to stop her.
"How can you talk so much? Aish. My ears hurt." I whined as I put my hand down.
"Good. You deserve it." She let out a sigh and continued, "I am not asking for much but just pick up my calls. And inform me before going anywhere."
"Inform you? Sana, I am nineteen years old. I need to inform nobody about where I go and what I do."
I walked towards the school building after I said that. I know I sounded rude but I hate it when she does that. She's like- tell me before going anywhere, tell me every person you meet, call me every hour and stuff.
"But I am your girlfriend. I need to know where you go, what you do and who you meet." She shouted at me.
The word 'girlfriend' halted me. I have been meaning to talk to her about our relationship. I have been ignoring her for a reason. Ignoring her makes me sound like a douche but it's hard talking to her. It's hard to fake it. And it's hard to tell the truth as well. But I know that she knows why I am like this. She knows what's going on with me but she chooses to just ignore it.
I let out a sigh as I turn towards her.
"Sana, I have been meaning to talk to—"
"Let's walk in together. Couples should always walk in together." She said cutting me off and held my hand.
I just went along with her without protesting. She knows what I am going to talk about and she cuts me off like she always does.
Sana smiled as everyone stared at us. They were staring with envy.
Aish, I am so jealous.
They are so lucky to have each other.
They have the cutest relationship honestly.
If they only knew how cute our relationship really was.

I entered the classroom and my eyes automatically landed on Ye-ha. She smiled and waved at me. I waved back and walked towards my seat.
She turn around as I put my bag down.
"About yesterday we—"
"I am sorry." I blurted out.
"Eh?" She looked confused.
"You guys were right. I would have made the situation worse. You guys were looking out for me and have been nothing but sweet and friendly to me but I repay you guys by calling you bullies. I am such a horrible person. I am so sorry." I said.
Ye-ha stared at me for a while before bursting into laughters. I stared at her confused.
"Thank God. We three were so worried since you stormed off that way. We thought you were really angry with us. It's a relief you aren't. Sorry for stopping you. You were trying to do the right thing."
I shook my head.
"Who knows what could have happened to me if you guys hadn't stopped me. I acted at the heat of the moment. I could have made the situation worse for the girl too." I said.
"I am glad that we aren't awkward. We really like you a lot even though we only just met yesterday." She said.
I smiled brightly at that as I nodded.
"Si-yu and A-seo will be so happy seeing you at lunch."
I giggled at that. The only good thing happening in my life right now were them.
The teacher entered the class and we stood up to greet.
"Good morning to you too, class. Please take your seats."
I sat down and pulled out my book for the class. Just then the classroom door slammed open and Jisoo walked in without even asking for permission. She just walked towards her seat and sat down. I looked ahead as she glanced at me.
"Good morning, Rabbit-ah." Teacher said.
Rabbit? I guess it's one of her name.
Jisoo ignored the teacher as she pulled out her books from her bag.
Oh, she bothers to bring book.
The teacher sighed.
"Good morning, Jisoo." The teacher once again greet her.
"Oh, good morning, Teacher." Jisoo smiled brightly.
The teacher shook his head as he focus his attention to write on the board.
She has a cute eye smile, I thought.
"Yah, Choboja. What are you staring at?" Jisoo asked.
Oh, shit. I didn't realize I was staring.
"Oh, nothing." I squeaked as I hurriedly looked at the board.
I hope she doesn't sleep today. Her snore is really loud.
"What?"
I frowned as I looked at her.
"Yes?"
"You said 'her snore is really loud'." Jisoo imitated me in a high pitch voice.
Don't tell me I spoke my thought out loud.
"I haven't spoken a word at all." I said.
She glared at me for a while but turn ahead. I let out the breath I was holding. Just when I said I will keep a low profile; why am I doing stuffs that is making these popular kids notice me?
God, please, why are you doing this to me?
"Are you even up there?" I looked up at the ceiling and thought to myself.
"Lisa-ya, what's wrong?" Ye-ha whispered.
I looked down and saw the whole class staring at me. I did it again, didn't I? I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me. I could already tell my face was red as a tomato by the heat I was radiating.
"Ahem. Lalisa, who is up there?" The teacher said pointing the ceiling.
"Oh, no one, Teacher. Sorry for disturbing." I said as I bow my head down.
Students chuckled as they turned ahead. I chuckled too to hide my embarassment. I looked to my side and saw Jisoo giving me a disapproving look.
"Weirdo." She said bluntly.
I sat there dumfounded with my mouth wide open and eyes twitching.
"Lalisa, look at the board. Not at Jisoo." The teacher said.
I jolted out. Everyone chuckled, even Jisoo. Invisible tears ran down my face as I sat there drowning in my own embarrassment. I held my book up and tried to hide my face behind it.
Why does stuff like this happen to me?!
