It is currently 3:30 pm and you were rushing to pack your things. You were exhausted from the events this week, and you immediately fell asleep, forgetting the fact you haven't packed the things you needed yet.
You were sure Kaveh was already done, but to your surprise, he wasn't. You found him rushing through the hallways when you stepped foot out of your room. He was holding clothes in his hand. And here I thought he would be chilling by now. You shrugged before going inside your room to look for a suitcase to fit your stuff in.
You found one that was a suitable size for the stuff you will be bringing. You placed the suitcase on your bed as you organize the stuff you had. You had a mini notepad to check if you got all the stuff you needed.
After that, you prepared a comfortable outfit to wear. You went downstairs to select the snacks you were going to bring. Kaveh was already there. You spotted him eating some of the snacks that he was supposed to bring.
"Are these for the camping trip or for you to eat now?" You questioned him. He looked at you before offering a snack. You took one before you started eating it while looking for the snacks you will bring.
"Should we put them in one bag or?" You turn to look at him before answering. "No? We don't share the same tent," you heard him muttering some things.
"Ugh, you should've been paired with Alhaitham in a tent. I bet we all would be eating while you two are arguing about setting the tent up." You turn to him once again while he looks at you with a grin. A bag of chips was in his hands as he was munching with a mischievous grin on his face. The audacity of this man, I swear-
You stopped yourself from plotting his murder. "And get in trouble for that? You know the rules, right? Different genders can't share the same tent." He continues to eat the chips while your hands were full of snacks that would last you 3 days.
Though you were only gonna be there throughout the whole weekend. The school was generous enough to give you all a 1 week break before the start of a new semester.
After you and Kaveh finished packing, you both went back to your rooms to double-check your items before getting yourself ready. You grabbed your headphones and phone that was charging and left your room with the suitcase and bags in your hands.
You spotted Kaveh using his phone while waiting for you downstairs. He waves his hand before you walked towards him.
"Ready to go?" You nod in response before telling the head maid you both were leaving already.
The ride to the Akademiya wasn't too long. You were listening to your playlist on the way there while scrolling through TikTok. When you turn your head at the window when you and Kaveh arrived, you saw students and buses outside.
You re-grouped with your friends after you spotted them at the side of one bus. Everyone was wearing comfortable clothes for the bus ride. When it was time to get onto the bus, your friends immediately rushed in, leaving you and Alhaitham to be the last to get in. Oh, they definitely planned something. You thought as you heard your friends giggle and snicker.
Alhaitham, being the gentleman he is, lets you in first and as soon as you got in, you saw there were only two seats left, leaving you and Alhaitham no choice but to sit next to each other. You heard Kaveh and Dehya trying to stop each other from laughing out loud at the face you made when the realization hits you. Oh, you both are so dead after this.
You sat on the window seat, and Alhaitham sat beside you after. You leaned your head closer to him before whispering "They planned this, didn't they?" he turns his head to look at you, and only then you realized how close your faces were. Your cheeks heated up at the sudden realization.
He nods his head before you quickly leaned back. You could hear Kaveh groaning from the seats in front of you, but not until he started giggling again with Dehya. "What the fuck are they up to now?" Alhaitham who already had a book out shrugged. "Don't mind them."
You moved on and started to scroll through your phone again. You got bored after a while, looking at your side to see Alhaitham unfazed, still focused on the book he was reading. You got curious and decided to move closer to see what he was reading.
He noticed your action and looked at you.
"What?" He asks. He noticed that you were trying to look at the book he was reading so he moved it a bit more closer to you. Smiling in satisfaction now that you've seen the book he was reading.
"I'm assuming you're bored?" You nod as he sighs and lets his shoulders relax a bit after they tensed up at your sudden movement earlier.
"Go to sleep, then. I don't want to hear your whines and complaints later on." you scoffed, crossing your arms and leaning back on your chair. Alhaitham stifles a laugh at your actions, he glances at you, head leaning on the window while you tried to fall asleep.
"That's uncomfortable, come here." Before you could even react, Alhaitham moved your head on top of his shoulder, allowing you to re-adjust. You tried to move your head up instead of doing so. Though you were met with Alhaitham's hand stopping you from trying to move any further.
"Sleep." He orders, and you moved on from the events and decided to move the hand rest up so you wouldn't get uncomfortable. Falling asleep immediately after getting comfortable, Alhaitham glances at your sleeping figure again, admiring the soft look on your face.
He was about to move a few strands of hair that was in the way of his face before he heard a camera click. He turns his head to the seats in front of him to spot Kaveh taking a picture of you both with his camera. He sighs as the two continued to snicker quietly in order to not wake you up.
"I'm showing this at your wedding and you'll be thanking me by then." Kaveh giggles as he hears Alhaitham groan at his words.
"You should like have a speech related to their rivalry and how their slow burn, burns slower than plastic." The two couldn't stop laughing at their plans. Alhaitham could only stare at them in disbelief.
"Shut it, both of you. Y/n will kill you both if she wakes up from her sleep." he tried to remind them both how you act when someone disturbs your sleep. The two looked at each other before Kaveh spoke.
"Kiss her too shut up like what Miss Lisa said, then." Kaveh immediately slaps his hand on his mouth to contain his laughter while Dehya lost it. They earned weird looks from the other students near them as they both tried to stop their selves from laughing any louder. Kaveh was choking while Dehya was smacking his shoulders.
Alhaitham stared at his two friends, wondering how he was friends with them in the beginning. He was starting to regret his life decisions.
He continues to read the book he was reading. He was reading in comfortable silence. He was relaxed not until you hug his arm and started snuggling closer. He tensed up from your sudden action before letting his body relax again. He could hear Kaveh taking a picture in the background, not paying any attention towards him.
He stops reading after a while, he closes the book he was reading. Most of the students were asleep. He turns his head slightly so he wouldn't wake you up while he looks at the students that were at the back.
He spots the calmer part of the group with Aether at the back while playing TCG. He turns back before leaning comfortably. He soon fell asleep with his head on top of yours.
You woke up after a while, not even noticing Alhaitham also fell asleep since he woke up before you. He was eating some snacks while watching something on his Laptop. He turns to you as he noticed you were awake. "Want some?" He asks as you nodded as an answer before taking some.
"Are we near yet?" You yawned as you stretched your arms, still a bit sleepy after your nap. "Yes, almost there. Eat for now." he hands you a snack he took out from a bag. You nodded before taking the snacks he handed you. It was one of your favourites. He remembered?
You didn't think too much of it as you continued to stare at the window. Taking a few pictures to post on your Instagram account later on. Before Alhaitham could even notice, You took a pic with him without him noticing.
"Haitham, look here." He turns his head in your direction just to find you taking a picture of the two of you. He wasn't prepared for it but to your surprise, he still looked good.
"Wow, didn't know Mr smarty pants is a photogenic person..." you mumbled as you check the photos. Alhaitham, being the attractive person he is, still looked good even at a surprise shot. "Is this guy gonna be a model? You question yourself as you stared at the photos.
After a while, you finally reached the camping site. The place looked amazing. Spacious and everything. There were a few cabins and restrooms, and an outdoor kitchen too. Your group chose a nice area to assemble your tents. Near it was an amazing view, you could even see the city. You were excited to look at it at night.
You were assembling your tent with Dehya as Nilou was helping the others prepare a few things. The sun was starting to set and the sky looked as beautiful as ever. The sunlight was hitting you and Dehya. You couldn't help but feel like someone's gaze was on you.
You turn your head to find Alhaitham looking at you, you locked gazes with him, neither of you daring to break eye contact. Well, not until Dehya spoke and caught your attention again.
"Are you helping or what?" She turns her head in the direction you were looking at to see Alhaitham. She couldn't help but snicker. Before realizing something.
"I am! That smartass just caught my attention..." She chuckles as you realized what you admitted. You try to defend yourself from your words, which she only laughed in return. Her laughter slows down before she spoke.
"You know, I've come to realize something." You looked at her, giving her a look that was giving off, 'What?'
"When Alhaitham looks at you-" you cut her off before she could finish her sentence. "He looks at me?" you heard her scoff making you laugh a little.
"Stop acting like you don't know or notice, we both know you do." You laughed before putting your hands up, surrendering.
"He has this look on his face when he does." You look at her with confusion, not getting what she was talking about. "A look of what?" You asked her. She looks at you with a smile on her face.
"Like he doesn't want to look away."
You felt your cheeks starting to heat up again as you looked at Dehya who had a grin on her face. Oh, how you wanted to wipe it off.
"What?!" to flustered from her previous words. She couldn't help but start laughing again at your flustered state. "Stop it! You're making it sound like those books I read!" Dehya couldn't stop laughing at all.
"Are you being for real, though?" You asked her, and she looks at you, her grin turning into a smirk. "Curious now, aren't we?" you groan making her laugh again.
"Yes, I am serious. I sometimes spot him when he stares at you while you speak. I can't help but think his eyes soften and all." you were in disbelief at what she said. Alhaitham? Him out of all people? It sounded way too good to be true.
"Have you started reading romance books too?" She groans as she was putting together some parts. "I'm literally being serious, can't you tell?" you shook your head earning another groan from her, laughing at her reaction.
"Damn it. This shit burns slower than a slow burn." you could hear her mutter. You gasp in disbelief. "I can literally hear you, you know." you spat out.
"Exactly, so you can make it burn faster!"
