2 hours later ...
Lucy's POV:
Keira had gone into emergency surgery. I sat in the same position for 2 hours, my mind racing. I was snapped out of my trance by Keira's parents walking in.
Neither said anything, but dropped into the seats either side of me.
" Keira Walsh's family," a doctor called.
Keira's parents pushed me out of my seat and into the doctor's room.
"So the surgery went well, however there are some complications." My heart dropped.
"In what way?" My throat was dry.
"I'm very sorry to say but Keira is now in a coma," he told me.
I stood up, tears streaming down my face, and walked back over to Keira's parents.
They pulled me into a hug, her mum cupping my face.
"Luce?" She prompted.
"She's in a coma," I cried into her shoulder.
"Sorry to interrupted, but one of you can see her now," the doctor told us.
I went to drop down into a seat, but Keira's dad pulled me up.
"What are you doing?" He asked me.
"You're her parents, one of you can see her," I replied.
"Absolutely not. You're the love of her life Lucy. Get in there."
I took a deep breath before following him into Keira's room.
Silent tears poured down my face, as I saw her. Her face was pale, her small body fragile on the hospital bed, attached to wires. The doctor left, shutting the door behind him.
I fell to the floor, my head falling into my hands. Silent tears pouring down my face, choking me.
