Guide:
(Y/N): Your Name
(A.N. This is my first attempt at a Love triangle story, so wish me luck-also it's gonna be a short one)
"If you had to choose someone, between just us two,
Would you choose me, to make me your you?"
This thought Tadashi as he and Hiro rode to the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology on his moped. And this thought Hiro as he sat at the back seat, his hands on Tadashi's shoulders. Flower bouquets were hidden in both boys' backpacks, though neither of them knew of the other's plan.
For several months now, both boys have grown attracted to you since you showed up in San Fransokyo as a new citizen, and a new student who recently entered SFIT. Of course, for love, there must have been friendship. And so that was what they were to you, and you to them-best friends. But soon, you had become so mesmerizing to them that both brothers, without the other knowing, started to compete for you. Give you cards with sweet messages. Pass on bouquets of flowers that you cherished just as equally. Ask you on separate dates that you soon became so occupied with both boys and projects on your plate of life. And every single day after a separate date you would question their strange behaviour, and then debate and deliberate hard-were you ready to choose if you had to?
Speaking of you, you were also on the way to SFIT, simply walking along the sidewalk, a gentle breeze lifting your hair and your spirits as you walked. It was just another cheerful day, and a smile graced your face. You let out a laugh, letting it ring in the morning air, smiling wider as you did so. For what is the point of living when you're not happy enough to do so?
Suddenly, as you reached the courtyard, something collided into you, and you fell on your back, stunned and slightly angered.
"HEY!" you cried, looking up and backing away as you saw both Hamada brothers on Tadashi's moped, frantically taking off their helmets and running over to your side.
"Sorry, (Y/N)," Tadashi said gently, helping you sit up. "Just lost in my thoughts. Are you okay?"
"Suits you right, Tadashi," Hiro smirked as he chuckled, and you turned to the younger Hamada brother now as he rose a hand and stroked your cheek. "He just doesn't know what he's up to, eh?"
A slight blush rose to your cheeks, and you smiled back at Hiro temporarily. "Well...I don't know. It all depends on the thoughts, right? If they are distracting, then yes, they distract. But if not, it still takes you away from the task at hand." Then you turned to Tadashi and gave him a reassuring smile. "I'm fine. Don't worry. I'm a tough one."
Tadashi laughed as he helped you stand up. "I always believed that."
"You should now," you simply said, shrugging as you turned to help Hiro get up. "Anyway, what brings you two here so early?"
The two brothers both turned beet red as they tried to come up with the best explanation without becoming fools and spilling the secrets they have been hiding for a while now.
"Um..." Hiro glanced off to one side.
"We were just going to-" Tadashi started explaining.
"Finish something!" Hiro finished.
Tadashi nodded frantically. "Yeah! Of course!"
Then both boys started laughing nervously, which made you raise your eyebrows in suspicion.
"Well...alright then," you shrugged. "Care to join me inside?"
Both boys nodded eagerly and they both took your hands-Tadashi took your left, Hiro your right. Smiling, the three of you headed inside SFIT, you completely at ease, the boys completely at unrest. They wanted to get your heart before the other boy did, but should the time come, who would you choose?

Later on as you re-entered your lab after a quick trip to the bathroom, you were surprised to see two rose bouquets on your desk-one was pink, kind of like the one that you see in a Californian sunset; the other was red, like a deep dark blood red. Attached to both bouquets were notes, and you giggled as you caught sight of the note cards, both brothers' handwriting entrancing your heart.
The first one you read was the pink Californian sunset rose one, which came from Tadashi.
Hey (Y/N)! I know, I probably gave you quite a few of these already, but you should probably know by now what I'm up to. I'm honestly really shy and stuff, but hey, haven't I always been! You're one of the smartest and sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. And now that I mention it, how about we meet this afternoon at 5:00 at the bridge? You probably know which bridge I'm talking about. :) Anyway, yeah! See you then! ~Tadashi Hamada
You smiled faintly as you sniffed the roses. How did Tadashi manage to find something so incredible, so rare? You always loved the older one to bits, you really had. But this might be a bit much.
You then turned to the blood red rose bunch from Hiro.
Hi (Y/N)...heh, you probably already figured it out, huh. I really really like you (Y/N) and I hope you understand it through, oh I don't know, so many things we have done. Though it wasn't a lot. So what? You're just an awesome person and I am oh so fortunate to have met you. Speaking of which, how about a meeting on the bridge outside SFIT at 5:00? I have something to properly confess. ~Hiro Hamada
This is weird. How could you choose between both brothers after they have both done so much? You then realized what was happening. You were stuck in a love triangle, where you have to choose between two people-two brothers who you were so fond of-and eventually break someone's heart over the choice you made.
How could you make your decision?
Just as you put Hiro's bouquet down, in came both Hamada brothers, tripping over each other and landing in a heap in front of you, which made you whirl around.
"Tadashi? Hiro?" You approached them and picked them off from the floor. "What are you doing here?"
Both brothers blushed as they tried to answer your question, but you already figured it out.
"Hey, I get it. You both...love me, don't you?"
They nodded.
Now what?
Slowly, you came closer to them and held your hands out, holding Hiro's hand in your left and Tadashi's in your right. As you did so, you immediately felt sparks fly in your right arm, and you knew. You knew right then and there that it was Tadashi who was the right one. Hesitantly, you dropped Hiro's hand and changed your hand position in Tadashi's hand, intertwining your fingers tightly with his and smiling at Tadashi.
"So, you've chosen?"
You turned to see Hiro blinking out tears, his cheeks flushed crimson, his form shattered like a glass sculpture.
"Hiro," you whispered, using your free hand to lift Hiro's face up to yours, stroking your thumb on his cheek to wipe the tears away.
"It was all for nothing!" Hiro cried bitterly. "All those gifts, all those little things that I used to try and, well, you know...all gone to waste, isn't it, now that you chose my brother?"
"Just because I chose your brother doesn't mean I love you less, Hiro," you murmured. "I really appreciate your efforts, I really do. Sometimes I got the impression that you are much older than you really are. But even as I go with Tadashi, your actions would never go to waste."
"But what made you..." Tadashi faltered as the question died on his tongue.
"Sparks," was your only reply.
You helped Hiro get up and hugged both of them now, sharing an embrace with the two brothers. Tadashi buried his head in your hair, glad that you wanted to be with him, but how would Hiro cope with it? And what if the relationship fails?
"It won't," you said, as if you were reading Tadashi's mind. "I kinda knew you were there, always, and it just feels more right, you know, being with you, Tadashi. And Hiro, trust me when I say that I will never ever forget what you did. You'll always be a little brother to me, one whom I know I can trust and turn to in times of trouble."
As those words resonated in the boys' ears, they knew you were right. Even if one person fails, the other would always be there. But even so they couldn't make a single mistake with you.
"So what's the plan now?" Tadashi asked. "Since you probably figured out that both of us wanted to take you out on a date..."
"We'll go together," you decided, giving a light laugh that sent chills down both boys' spines. "Then maybe after that...you know..."
"Yeah," Hiro said sadly. "You two will have all the fun."
You shook your head. "Hiro..."
"I'm happy for you," Hiro managed to say finally after a moment, smiling. "As long as you are happy, I will be. Eventually I'll find someone, right? There are other fish in the sea."
"That's it," you grinned, ruffling Hiro's hair.
Both boys now felt significantly better now that you made your decision and comforted both of them—up to the point where they just didn't have enough sense to leave your lab and do work themselves.
"Guys, are you just going to stand there and gawk at me while the day whiles away?" you asked. "You do have work to do, don't you?"
"RIGHT!" Both boys grinned as they left your lab, and you waved back as they exited, smiling to yourself again. Yes, love could take a toll, even lead to heartbreak. But once tamed, romance is easy to play around. You quickly took out a blueprint and got set to work, finally glad that you got this mystery solved—and in the right way.
