Nathanial Winters

Waking up one morning I rolled over to find Arilynn had already gotten up and had clearly left our room since she had the habit of leaving the door open when she had finished getting ready for the day.

Crossing the room I stopped at the window and looked out on Boston which was covered in a golden sunlight. My penthouse was in a prime location where I could look around at the world and I was perfectly fine with that.

I then turned away from the warmth against my skin before walking down a hallway and into my large bathroom and undressed before connecting my phone to the speakers in the room.

Standing in front of the window I looked out once more before getting into the shower and turning on the hottest setting of what already was a droplet littered black tile shower.

I had already begun the main question of my day which was what car I wanted to drive to work. I didn't have a ton of options but I had them.

Four specifically.

Getting out I dried off and left the bathroom and used my foot to shut my bedroom door.

I had to work through class today something my profs knew in fact some of them had been kind enough to excuse me from the class today.

Benefits to knowing everything that was being covered in class.

Walking into the closet I picked out a pair of black trousers, and a zigzag ribbed pullover.

Once I had gotten dressed I styled my hair and cleaned off the stubble that had grown on my face which I honestly didn't really like.

I then walked out into the kitchen area where Arilynn was making breakfast and dancing to music.

Leaning in the doorframe I watched her for a few moments which surprised me that she hadn't seen me considering the doorframe was farther up meaning she should have been able to seen me.

"Are you going to stand there and gawk" she chimes with that small innocent smile that always seemed to remind me that she was about as pure of a girl as one could get while not being naïve.

"Well good morning to you too Arilynn" I say moving towards where she stood.

"Also I don't gawk, I admire" I add stopping in front of her and putting my hands on her lower back while my arms rested on her hips.

"Mhm, do you like the outfit I thought it was cute?" she asks looking down at her white crewneck with slightly flaired sleeves, pleated dark cream skirt, and knee length suede boots.

"I wanted to look a little more girly today" she beams.

"You definitely accomplished that love" I say reaching up to lift her head slightly before kissing her.

Arilynn then pushed herself up and pressed her lips more against mine.

"Since I know you'll vanish when we get to school, you have your morning kisses".

"I do not vanish, people just don't pay attention to where I've gone" I quip and she hums.

"Be your handsome self and have breakfast" she instructs and I laugh but listen anyways.

"What do you have today".

"I'm attending to meetings with my board today and I will definitely have one with Tatyana today to organize the coming week".

"Do you own your board or do you have to listen to them?".

"If you're asking me if I was willing to let my company be publicly owned which is what that would mean. Then no, Nexus Software will in a few months belong to Winters Group International".

Arilynn then took a bite of her breakfast while I took a sip from the glass of orange juice I'd just poured for myself.

Better then apple, too.

"What do you have going on today?".

"After school I had to meet with some of those ambassadors for my first shoot" Arilynn says looking up at me.

"May I come watch?" I ask.

"If they let you in, sure, you just can't disrupt the process" she replies giving me a warning look that just made me smile.

"Never".

"Also I spoke with an interior designer about redoing the renovation for my penthouse, my home seems very classical, but I wanted your opinion on it since of course in less then half a year we will be living together in Steinway Tower".

"Bronze will go well, wooden elements mixed with beiges and browns. I find those tones with the black and grey pieces always go well, something like how your yachts are designed".

"All my yachts vary because of space, but I get the point. Modern classical" I says nodding to myself.

"Your parents have modern rustic, or just dark soft contemporary architecture" Arilynn says, and I give her a quizzical look because as far as I could remember I never showed her my family home. Mostly due to the fact of us not ever leaving Steinway Tower.

"How do you know that, there aren't any public images of my parents home".

"Your sisters dragged me there one day over the break, during one of the girls day's".

I hummed before letting out a short laugh, "that would make sense".

"You should take out your McLaren you haven't driven it since it was bought".

"You're right, don't want it wasting away down there" I say taking my final bite, and carrying my plate to the kitchen where it got put in the dishwasher.

"You and your collection of British sports cars" Arilynn teases while rolling her eyes.

"Don't lie, you like them" I muse and she feigns uncertainty.

"Anyways, I'm going to school now, so I'll see you probably when I am heading home, since you'll be done class by then" I say and Arilynn nods before giving me a doe eyed look.

"What are you forgetting" she sings and I pretend to be dumb by checking my pockets for everything aside from the kiss goodbye she was wanting.

"Well I have my phone and my keys" I feign while a small smirk plays at my lips, and a scowl forms on her face.

"Oh you're so easy to tease" I laugh before walking over to her and giving her a passionate kiss, "I love you Arilynn, I'll see you later".

"I love you too" she coos as I walk to the elevator and get inside before I am swiftly carried down to the garage level of the complex. I wanted to be more humble here especially since Boston wasn't a flashy city, and I wasn't exactly willing to let myself be delved into if I had ten vehicles here in a public garage where other occupants of the condo complex lived.

The ding of the elevator alerted me to the arrival to the basement level and I crossed the bare concrete floor towards my cars which I'd admit I had gotten fond of despite having only ever driven my 765LT on the day I bought it and one other recent time to get something checked.

Unlocking the car I walked over to it and lifted the door before slipping inside what was my second favourite car that I owned. I may have liked my hypers but this was only second to my DBS and I would never deny that.

Driving out of the garage I looked around at the various vehicles around me, and I slowly made myself put together a list as I drove, because I didn't drive all of my cars and I likely never would, my dad managed to drive a different vehicle every day though even he had one's he preferred. I wanted just a few that I could rely on driving all the time so I would likely over the coming summer make a list of what would get kept and what would be sold.

It was a lot less then what my parents owned though.

I just knew I'd never get use out of dozens upon dozens of cars if I bought them.

Eventually I got to school and parked before getting out of car which several of my peers were staring at and my urge to glare at them didn't manage to be suppressed before then quickly turned away at the same time my friends arrived and got out of their own vehicles.

"Nathan scaring the local populous again?" Zavier muses and I give him a blank look.

"No he's just reminding them to mind their own business. Unlike you we're not all attention hogs" Lea says looking at her boyfriend who looked dumbfounded whilst the rest of us laughed.

"We all know that he only behaves for you" Theo quips, and I just shake my head at all of them.

"So what's the play today Nathan?" Lucian asks crossing his arms while he leaned on his Porsche.

"My profs know that I'm not showing up to class today, and if I do I'm working" I say walking around to the passenger side of my car to retrieve my laptop that I'd carried down to the car with me.

"At least your hands will get to heal, you fucking tore them open like an idiot" Izzy says appearing with my other sister and both of their significant others who separated to have banter with the boys.

"It was stress relief Izzy, and they are healed, look" I say turning the backs of my hands to show my sister.

"They still have red marks on them" she comments with her eyebrows raised.

"I'm fine Iz, promise" I assure before walking away towards Harvard campus so that I could hide in some far corner of the building.

Climbing the steps I walked inside and brushed my feet harshly against the carpet before proceeding to make my way towards the farthest lounge area that I knew not many students went to.

Why some people chose to go to the main hall I have no idea.

Years in Thornbrook also hadn't rubbed off nicely because I'd gotten used to people moving for me, and they typically did however people still crowded the halls and didn't bother moving so I definitely ended up being irritable by the time I'd gotten to my destination.

Finding a seat I settled into my spot and opened my laptop to check my schedule which started with a meeting with my PA so that the rest of my day could flow nicely instead of having a bunch of check in's throughout the day. I didn't mind the check-ins I just found them disruptive when I am trying to get things done.

As class started twenty minutes later so did my meeting and I was blessed with empty halls for the duration of my work that morning.

Completed, yay, also the chapters will seem sort of like I'm bouncing back and forth but I am trying to set up dynamic for the work and private life of Nathan and Arilynn so bare with me. comment, vote, and share. Anyways

Peace
