Why the hell is it so dark?
Everything was hurting.
I tried to move and started to flicker my hand feeling someone else's. I tried to speak but couldn't it was like my mouth was jammed. C'mon pussy get up.
I grunted a bit and flicked my hand some more and started moving it completely ignoring the pain. I tried to move my arm but it was completely stuck like it was numb.
I opened my eyes a bit and everything started to get clear. I saw Thea turning a bit to look at me. "Thea." I grunted moving some more looking around seeing my arm in a cast
The hell happened?
"The hell is this shit." I sighed snatching all the wires off of me trying to sit up.
"Nicolas?" She smiled and then stopped me from snatching the cast off my leg.
"What?" I asked confused trying to get up but she sat me back down. I looked at her seeing her eyes puffy. "Why were you crying?" I asked wiping her eyes.
She sniffed giving me a kiss onto the lips. "Get all of this shit off of me." I told her standing up again with her trying to stop me.
"Nicolas you can't do that you're still injured." She told me. I ignored all of the pain seeing the bruises all over my body.
"Daddy?" I heard Luna say making me look up by the door seeing her holding a cup of juice. She set the cup down and ran towards me giving me a hug.
"Lu." I smiled picking her up with the good arm. "How long have I been out?"
"Three weeks." Thea said making me sigh mentally. "You shouldn't be standing up."
"Then hell is he doing out of bed?" Marco said coming inside.
"What happened?" I asked him.
"The explosion in the warehouse." He told me sitting me back down. "Lu can you go get the nurse for me?" He asked her.
"I don't need a nurse I feel fine." I told him not wanting to lay in bed anymore. I hated feeling weak. I hated feeling vulnerable. He knows this.
"Stop being so damn stubborn." He told me. I looked over at Thea reaching my arm to her. She came over giving me a hug.
"I missed you." She whispered to me making me want to smile but I held it in.
"You goddamn idiot I told you to get the fuck out of there." Marco haftly shouted making me ignore him. "Why do you always do things that would get you killed?!"
"I'm alive still aren't I." I told him.
"Barely you stubborn asshole. Look at you! Something could've fell on you and you would've been dead." He said actually looking upset.
"Marco- No this is his second time doing this shit. I know what we do for a living but that doesn't mean you have to actually go out get yourself killed intentionally." He said cutting her off.
"Can you leave us for a second?" I whispered to Thea. She nodded while I gave her a kiss on the forehead. She walked out and I looked up seeing Marco still glaring at me.
"I know who the rat is. I was hoping I didn't have that dumbass memory loss crap and I'm grateful that I don't." I said getting up.
"Who is it?" He asked.
"Kai, where is he?" I asked.
"Wait what? Kai?" He asked.
"I saw his name on the papers on the Angelo's office. That's why it took so long for me to get out of the building. The details, the notes everything was from him." I said.
"Shit."
"Where is he?"
"He went to checkout some stuff with Dario at the warehouse." He told me. "Want me to handle it?"
"I got it." I told him.
"What are you going to do?"
"I got my own plan with him." I shrugged.
"I was serious about what I said though Nicolas, you've got to stop taking risk like that." He said.
"When I stepped up to be the heir of this Mafia I knew what I was getting into. I'm the leader of this entire empire meaning that I will protect the men, handle and do things the way I want to."
"That doesn't mean that you have to risk your life when their are other options to chose from. Their are people that care about you. I'm not ready for another funeral." He told me.
"Mr.King?" The nurse questioned knocking on the door. She walked inside and hooked a tube back up to my arm checking for something.
"Tell him he needs to lay down and stop being the stubborn asshole that he is." Marco said making me glare at him.
"Get out." I told him.
"Il mio fottuto piacere." He said walking out. (My fucking pleasure)

"You don't have to help me each step of the way." I told Thea.
"I want to."'She told me laying me down on the bed. I sat and pulled her down into my lap seeing her trying to get back up. "I don't want to hurt you."
"You won't." I assured putting my hand on her cheek. I moved her face over to me and gave her soft kiss on the lips. My hand went on her neck and deepened the kiss more by sliding my tongue in her mouth.
She wrapped her arms around me and I laid her down onto the bed not breaking the kiss. I didn't know what I was doing with Thea. We've already went on dates, the night we had sex was complicated.
I didn't expect it to happen that fast. I knew I liked her, but I also knew that I still had to be careful. She's already a target because of me. She was making me vulnerable and I hated being vulnerable.
"Nicolas.." She breathed out while I kissed her neck. "You're hurt." She said putting her hands on my shoulders making me face her.
"You need to get your rest." She told me.
"I've been resting for three damn weeks." I said standing up from the bed.
"How don't you realize how serious this is? Your body is covered in bruises, there's a huge scar on your side, you can't even move your arm." She pointed it.
"I feel fine." I told her walking into the bathroom.
"It's not a crime to get help from others. Stop trying to do everything yourself." She said following me.
"I don't need any help." I said removing the patch from my side seeing the huge wound. It was bleeding bad still. I leaned over the counter towards the sink feeling Thea snatch the bottle out of my hand.
"Your arm is in a cast, and your other arm is bruised, just let me do it." She said making me sigh mentally. She put the alcohol over the wound looking at me.
"You expected me to flinch?" I asked her making her roll her eyes. She finally finished while putting the new patch on.
"I just want you to be okay, The past three weeks i've felt like shit. I couldn't even come and see you because I felt sick every time I did. I hated seeing you like that."
"I know." I said bringing her closer to me. "I'm fine you don't have to worry anymore." I wiped her eye giving her a kiss and pulling her into a hug.
"Stop crying Angel, I hate it when you cry." I told her.
"I know." She sighed laughing a bit.
