The Queen is dead. Aurae Norhorn Ashtaroth was slain in her bed and her spilled blood tainted the Love striken cheeks of her little sister, Thalia. In the aftermaths of her death, she is the only one able to claim the Pelidian throne and the quality of Senator of the Republic. But Thalia is everything but.
However, it's only temporary. Her niece Shadril will be back from war soon, and since she is the eldest daughter of Aurae, she'll be assuming the duties that stifle Thalia. Her highness can't wait for her niece's return.
Thalia doesn't understand all these people that keep looking at her with envy. How they keep chanting about her luck. It doesn't feel like luck. It feels like a destiny trap waiting to entomb her. She knows that she's not up for the task. So do the people. And so does her uncle, Myriil.
