The second I got on the plane, I tore off my winter coat. I sat down and instantly pulled my hair up. I grabbed my phone and started calling him.
"Hey, baby," his voice came smoothly through the phone. "You on the plane?"
"Just sat down."
"Want me to wait up for you?" He offered.
"No," I sighed. "I'll get in really late. I'll try not to wake up you when I get home."
"Even if you do," he chuckled, "I wouldn't mind. I've missed you."
"I've missed you too, baby," I said, finally relaxing more into my seat. "I can't believe I've been in London for six months."
"Was it at least worth it?" He asked.
"Not really. I mean, the movie is going to be great but. . ."
"But what, babe?"
"I'm ready to not be freezing every day of the week," I scoffed. "I'm ready for heat and warmth and having to take off clothes instead of put more on."
"I can help with that last part." I could hear Joe's smirk coming through the phone.
"The second the jet lag wears off," I said, dropping my voice, "I'm gonna let you."
"I'm so sorry, Ms. Y/L/N," the flight attendant said sweetly. "We're about to take off and we're gonna need you to hang up."
"No problem," I said, turning on my Actress Voice.
"I heard that," Joe sighed. "See you in 11 and a half hours?"
"See you then."

I unlocked the front door and quietly shut it behind me. I kicked off my shoes and softly dropped my bags at the bottom of the stairs. I was about to head up to our room when I saw something on the kitchen table. I walked into the kitchen, a smile forming when I saw the bouquet of flowers. I picked up the note and read Joe's oddly neat handwriting.
Welcome home, baby. I missed you.
Eager to see my husband, I grabbed my bag and jogged upstairs. I was about to throw the door open when I remembered what time it was. I softly opened the door and gently put my bag down in front of our closet. I walked over and slipped into bed.
"Hey, baby," Joe muttered sleepily. He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me into his chest. "I missed you, gorgeous."
"I missed you too," I whispered as I tucked more into his chest.
"Get some sleep," he said, already half asleep.
"See you in the morning," I said as sleep overtook me.
A few hours later, I woke up to the smell of bacon. I sat up, slightly confused until I realized where I was. I got out of bed, pulling on one of Joe's flannels. As I walked downstairs, I could hear Joe in the kitchen.
"Damn," I sighed, "I could get used to waking up to my man making me breakfast."
"There she is."
I laughed as he tossed the spatula onto the counter and jogged over to me. Joe pressed his lips to mine as he pressed me up against the fridge.
"I missed you," he said between kisses.
"I missed you too."
We laughed as we somehow made our way away from the fridge and to our table. We let out matching grunts as Joe picked me up and laid me down on the table before crawling on top of me.
"Joe," I moaned when he broke the kiss and started exploring any and all exposed skin. "Baby, the bacon is burning."
He crawled off me, grabbing my hips and pulling me towards him. He was breathing heavily as he stared into my eyes. I gasped when he wrapped my legs around his waist and picked me up. Joe started caring me back to our room.
"I'll make more."

I looked over my shoulder to see Joe watching me get dressed. He was chewing on his bottom lip as he scanned my body.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing," he sighed, sitting up and leaning against our bedframe. "I'm just enjoying the sight of my wife, finally back home."
I smirked as I crawled onto the bed and back over to him. He didn't move as I straddled his lap. I ran my fingers up and down his chest, slightly dragging my nails across his pecks.
"And your wife is happy to be back," I whispered. I leaned in and pressed my lips to his. I moaned when he started massaging my hips, making me grind my hips against his.
"I forgot," he moaned without breaking the kiss, "I have a surprise for you."
"You're pregnant?"
Joe broke the kiss and laughed at my question. He looked into my eyes as he reached up and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.
"I got you an early Christmas present," he said softly.
"I thought we agreed we weren't going to do anything big," I sighed, relaxing back onto his lap.
"I know," he shrugged. "But we haven't seen each other in six months. I wanted our Christmas to be special."
"Alright," I said, giving in. "What did you have in mind?"
"First, get dressed," he said, giving my ass one final squeeze. "Then, we'll try making breakfast again."
"Or," I said in a sing-songy tone, "you could tell me what your big Christmas surprise is and we could. . . celebrate."
I leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips. He tried to deepen the kiss but I broke it.
"We still need to get dressed," he pouted.
I sighed before finally crawling off of him. We got dressed, continually glancing at each other. Once we finally had clothes on, Joe grabbed my hand and led me downstairs. He pulled me in for another kiss and gently pushed me onto the couch. Before we could get into things, he broke the kiss and went back into the kitchen.
"Is your Christmas surprise bacon?" I called out.
"No," he laughed from the kitchen. "Just trust me, okay?"
"Whatever you say."
I laughed when I looked up to see Joe standing in the doorway with his hands behind his back. He walked over and sat next to me, still hiding his surprise. He sent me a teasing smile before finally handing me the envelope that was behind his back. I took the envelope from Joe and slowly opened it. My breath got caught in my throat when I saw what they were.
"Tickets?" I asked under my breath. "But where. . ."
"I figured you'd be tired of the cold," he explained. "How does Christmas in Maui sound?"
"Hawaii?" I stuttered.
"How would you like to spend the holidays, sitting on a beach with a Mai Tai?"
"When did you have time to get these?" I asked, still shocked.
"Baby, you were on a twelve-hour flight," he chuckled. "I had plenty of time to call a travel agent and get tickets. We leave tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?"
Joe scooted closer to me, his smirk that usually ends in losing a few clothes returning.
"Well, I figured that you'd want to relax at home, wash your clothes, maybe. . ."
I cut him off and pressed my lips firmly to his. His smirk turned into a smile as he started kissing me back.
"Maybe spend the night with your husband," he finished.

Two days before Christmas, Joe and I checked into our 5-Star hotel right on the beach. We dropped our stuff off in our room and changed into our swimsuits. We walked hand-in-hand to the private cabana that Joe rented for us.
The second we sat down, someone came and took our drink order. Moments later, he came back with them. As he walked away, Joe turned towards me.
"Baby, can I ask you something?"
"Of course," I said, glancing at him.
"Are you sad that we're not spending Christmas at home?"
I turned towards him, putting my drink on the small table between our chairs.
"No," I said sweetly, "I'm not. It's not like it's our first Christmas as a married couple. I love that we're here."
I paused when I saw the way he was staring at something behind me. He wasn't actually looking at it. It was more like he was looking through it.
"Is there something else?" I asked gently.
"While you were gone," he hesitated, "I got to thinking."
"Thinking? About what?"
"About us. About our life. We've been married for five years and I love our life but. . ."
"But what, sweetheart?"
"I want to expand our life."
"Expand?" I asked. "Joe, what are you talking about?"
"I think we should start our family," he rushed out.
"You wanna have a baby?"
Joe leaned forward, his elbows on his knees. He reached over and grabbed my hands.
"I know we're both busy with our different movies and shows," he sighed, "but the entire time you were gone, I kept thinking about kids. Maybe it was filming season 4 but. . . It doesn't matter. What matters is that I realized I wanted to start our family. I know this isn't a decision I should be making on my own. It's a huge decision that we should talk about and make together. I shouldn't. . ."
I cut him off by jumping up and pressing my lips to his. My momentum knocked us both back onto his lounge chair. He laughed as he started kissing me back. He wrapped his arms around me, deepening the kiss.
"You wanna start right now?" He asked, his voice mumbled against my lips. I broke the kiss and slightly glared at him.
"Obviously not right now, right here," I sighed.
"We do have a room upstairs," he chuckled.
"Then what are we doing down here?"
I was about to get off of him, but he pulled me back.
"Merry Christmas, Y/N."
"Merry Christmas, Joe."
