(Mikey's Introduction)
Hi everyone! I'm Mikey. Now you're probably wondering why I am talking to start this part. Well this whole chapter is about my twin Tessa and her bully. So this chapter will really only be Tessa's and I's POV. Eric and Carley will be back sooner rather than later. But for now enjoy our POV.
(Mikey's POV)
Tessa and I just got woken up by our mom. Sadly we don't have phones yet. Mom said that we will when we get to middle school. And I can't wait for that.
After I got changed for school. I go downstairs with my schoolbag on my shoulders.
"Morning Mikey" Eric my oldest brother said
"Morning Eric!" I said with a smile. Then I saw his girlfriend and his baby. "Hi Carley! Hi EJ!" I said to him
"Hi Mikey" Carley said smiling at me
Tessa came down and I could tell she was sad. So I got some whipped cream and sprayed it on my nose.
"Hey Tess! Look at my nose!" I said with whip cream on it
She laughs. "Thanks Mikey" She said softly and gave me a hug
"Hey we are twins. We always have each other's back" I said hugging her back.
"Awww" Carley and Eric said
"Hey Michelle why did we never get along like that" Eric asked my oldest sister
"Because we weren't twins?" Michelle said with a laugh
"I want a twin" Eric said
"Well your son is a mini me of you" Michelle said pointing to EJ
"Cool. EJ lets get you something to eat" Eric said taking his son out of his girlfriends arm
"Eric. He eats from me" Carley said smacking his arm
"I can give him something though!" He said with a smile
"Oii Eric" Carley said touching her head
"Alright Mikey and Tessa lets get you to school" Michelle said
"Ok" I said with a smile
"Ok" Tessa said softly
I grab her hand. "I'm with you all the way sis" I said smiling at her
She smiles back. We both walked hand and hand to the car. Michelle drove us to school like she normally did.
Tessa and I got out of the car once we arrived at school.
"Bye guys. Have a great day!" Michelle said
"Bye Chelly!" we said
We walked to our third grade classroom.
Once we were there Tessa's bully was with his friends.
Nathan Davidson. The biggest bully in the third grade. Well in any grade. Well whatever grade he is in. It just sucks that we have to be in the same graduating class. Especially because he bullies Tessa. And that's not ok with me
Thats why I punched him in the stomach at the park. He tripped Tessa too many times. And no one helps her. I try but there's not much you can do at school. So thats why I hit him at the public park.
But Eric has told me to stay near a teacher because he will come back to hit me, maybe harder than I hit him. Nathan will not Eric.
Nathan comes over and slams his hand on Tessa's and I's shared desk. Tessa flinches. And Nathan laughs. I sigh and bring Tessa close to me
It is hard to be the older brother sometimes. Because usually Tessa doesn't know how to defend herself. And I tell her I will always be there for her. And I hope I always will be but at the same time it's scary to think of the future. And the fact I may not always be there for her.
Nathan looks at me and tries to scare me. But I don't really scare to easily. Tessa does but I don't. I try to move my arm away from Tessa so I could pick up the pen. But she doesn't let go of my arm. So I just let the pen stay on the ground
During the day Nathan was sending notes saying how much him and his friends are going to hurt me at recess. The problem with that is that teachers don't really watch us. They let us go out and move around. So I'm actually really scared for that
Nathan said him and his friends are gonna get me. If it was just him I wouldn't be scared but he has about 4 friends that are always with him. So yeah I'm gonna get my butt beat.
After lunch was our free time. I try to hide. Tessa is somewhere hiding from him too. But i think Nathan has picked someone else to bully. And that person.....being me.
"Hello?" Someone asked
"Huh?" I asked looking at the person
"Hi. I'm Paul. What's your name?" he asked me
"Um Michael but I go by Mikey" I said
"Well what are you doing Mikey?" He asked
"Someone is after me. And I'm hiding so he can't find me" I said to him. I don't know why I'm telling him this. He could be working for Nathan
"Who's the person after you?" He asked me
"Nathan Davidson" I said
"Oh.....you're the one who punched him?" He asked
I looked scared. "How do you know about that?" I asked him
"He's my step brother" He said. I sigh in a relax way.
"I didn't mean to punch him. But he hurt my twin" I said
"Hey I understand. My older sister was the same way with me" He said
"Really?" I asked
"Yeah but she was a girl and the bully was a guy. So she just said crap to him" He said
"That sounds nicer" I said
"Yeah. Listen if you need help I can help you" He said
"Thanks but I can just hide from him everyday. It's fine" I said
"That's no way to live. And besides I need a friend. So you are it" He said with a smile
"Um ok" I said unsure how that happened
"Come on Mikey let's go out" He said
We walked out together. And one of Nathan's friends saw me.
"Paul you may not be scared of your step brother but him and his friends are coming right at me" I said scared for my life
"Not if I have anything to do with it" He said
Nathan and his friends come over and smirk
"Well, well, well my step brother and guy who punched me are friends" Nathan said with a smirk
"Leave him alone Nathan" Paul said
"Paul I would leave before I have to tell your mom that I had to beat you up" Nathan said to Paul
"He punched you because you pushed his sister. When are you gonna grow up" he asked his step brother
"Alright well I gave you a warning Paul. Let's get them boys" He said to his friends
They came up and started to beat us up. But I ended up being the most beaten up just because I punched Nathan
I am coughing off blood after they are done
"Mikey!" I heard Tessa but I slowly loss my sight
(Tessa's POV)
Once I saw Nathan had found Mikey I ran inside and tried to get a teacher. But they wouldn't come out. Until one did and they finally separated Nathan and his friends from my twin.
"Mikey" I said sadly going over to him. I saw him close his eyes
"We need to call an ambulance" The teacher said
"And his mom" Another one said
"Mikey. Wake up" I said tapping him
Mom came as soon as they called. And she started to yell at the teachers and Principal for letting this happen.
Mom and I headed to the hospital with Mikey. Once we got to the hospital they patch him up and fixed his nose since his nose did break.
Once they told us that Mikey was awake. I walked into his room with my mom.
"Oh my sweet boy" My mom said going over to Mikey side
I start to cry. I go over to him. "I'm so sorry Mikey" I said
"You didn't do this Tess" He said softly
"Yes I did. If Nathan didn't push me then you wouldn't have hit him. And then he wouldn't have attack you" I said as my voice breaker
"Tessa. I made the decision to hit him. Did I think he and his friends were gonna jump me? No but I would protect you again and again. Time after time. We are family" He said
"Mikey I know you helped your sister last time. But this Nathan kid sounds like bad news. Especially putting you here" My mom said
"Well I actually had someone who got beat up with me. He may be friend" Mikey said
"Mikey......" Mom said
"Mom I'm serious. He got beat up too" He said
"I did see another guy with him mom" I said nodding to what Mikey said.
"Still. I think I should move you to another school" She said to him
"I'm not gonna leave Tessa alone" He said
"I didn't say you had to. I would put you and Tessa into another school" She said
"I don't know mom" He said
"Yeah I agree mom. We have been going to this school since kindergarten" I said
"And look what happened to Mikey, Tessa" She said pointing to my twin
"well maybe we can get Nathan to be expelled? I mean you technically can't attack someone at school" I said
"That is true. But we don't know his family. They would be rich like us and have a great lawyer" She said
"I really don't wanna leave my school mom" Mikey said
"And I don't either" I said agreeing with Mikey
"Ok fine. I'll see what Jason can do about this" She said to us. She went out of the room to call her boyfriend
I sat on the chair closest to him and sigh
"Tess. This wasn't your fault" He said
"Why does it feel like it?" I asked annoyed
"Tessa, Nathan was waiting for me to come out to attack me. Just because I hit him once" He said softly
"But you defended me so indirectly I caused you to get beaten up" I said
"Tessa. Please. I'm in pain. Just please stop saying you cause this. Nathan and his friends caused this not you. So don't think of it like that. Do you understand?" He said taking my hand
"I don't deserve you as a brother" I said softly
"Hey, we are family. I'll always have your back" He softly smiles but then stops so I think he's in pain.
There was a knock on the door. I saw the other guy who got beat up at the door with his mom I assume.
"Theres he is mom" The boy said
"Hi. Is your mom somewhere?" The women asked me
"She is currently calling her boyfriend. She will be back soon I think" I said
The boy came to Mikey's side
"Hi Mikey" He said
"Hey Paul" He said smiling softly
"I'm sorry Nathan did this to you Michael" The women said
"My name is Mikey" Mikey said
"Right, sorry. Mikey" She said
"I'm sorry who are you two?" I asked confused which they are in my twin's hospital room
"I'm Paul. I was the other one who Nathan and his friends beat us up" Paul said smiling softly and puts his hand out for me to shake.
I shook his hand. "I'm Tessa. Mikey's twin sister" I said
"And to answer your question about me. I am Paul's mother and Nathan's step mother" The women said
"Ohh" i said kind of scared now
"Mom this is the girl who Nathan picks on. Mikey saved his sister" Paul said
She looks at me and I saw the sorry in her eyes. "I am so sorry for my step son for bullying you" She said to me
"He may be your step son but my real son is in the hospital" My mom said coming in
"I'm assuming your Mikey's and Tessa's mom" She said to my mom
"That would be right" Mom said
"Paul and I came here to say sorry" She said to my mom
"Yeah well my son's in the hospital. Sorry isn't gonna cut it" Mom said
"I also came by to tell you Nathan and his friends got expelled. So you guys won't have to deal with him anymore" She said to my mom
"Hmm. Ok" Mom said not believing it
"You don't believe me do you?" She asked my mom
"No. I don't" Mom said with her arms crossed
"I know you are angry. But all I can do is tell you Nathan is going to a boarding school hours away. So you won't be seeing him anymore" She said
"I'll believe it when I see it" Mom said
"Me too" Mikey and I said
"I understand" She said. "Paul are you ready to go?" She asked her son
"Mom can I stay? Mikey and I were going to watch tv" He said
"I can take him home" Mom said
"Oh um thank you. I'll see you at home Paul" The women said kissing Paul's head
"Bye mom" Paul said
Paul and Mikey ended up talking and leaving me out. But after being alone with my own thoughts for 2 hours. Mikey finally seems to know I was there
"Hey Tess wanna play with us?" He asked me
"I don't know. What are you guys playing?" I asked
"Well Mikey and I like WWE. So your mom gave him her phone. We are playing wwe games on here" Paul said to me
"I like WWE too" I said
"Cool!" Paul said smiling at me
"Who's your favorite wrestler of all times?" I asked him
"I would say probably The Rock" He said
"No way Stone Cold is so much better" I said
"Oh is that right?" Paul asked with a smile
"Yep 100 percent" I said smiling back
Paul and I ended up talking about WWE but then started to talk about other things too. It was nice. I think Mikey and I just got a real friend.
Once the hospital finally let Mikey leave. My mom drove Paul back to his house first before going back to ours.
Once we got home everyone was sitting in the living room. They all looked relieved after seeing Mikey
"Mike" Eric said sighing.
"I'm sorry Eric. I tried to do what you said" Mikey said looking down
"It's fine....I'm just happy you are ok" He said and hugged Mikey softly
"Are you ok?" Carley asked coming next to Eric. She gave Mikey a hug
"Yeah I'm fine" Mikey said with a smile. He hugged her back
"We were all worried bro" James said coming up to Mikey next
"I am alright" He said to James
"Good then I can do this" Michelle said then slight hit Mikey
"Hey!" Mikey said
"Thats what you get! Mikey you should have never hit that guy at the park" She said sighing
"I know. I regret hitting him but I don't regret protecting Tessa. She's my twin" He said. He held my hand in support
"Mikey ended up meeting a new friend" i said
"Who's the person?" Arthur asked
"His name is Paul" I said smiling
"Ohhh does Tessa have a little crush?" Ellie and Carley said
"No! He's our friend!" I said
I mean I don't think I have a crush on him.....Do I?
(Mikey's POV)
I saw Tessa get weirded out with that question. I sighed and took that into consideration. I mean after he found out Tessa liked WWE they started to talk more. But I don't know if I'm ready for her to have a boyfriend. She's my twin after all. I don't want her to get hurt by a guy.
"I am going to sleep. Today was a very long and painful day. So I'll see you guys tomorrow" I said as I said goodnight to everyone.
I slowly made my way up to my bedroom. It was painful but I got up there all on my own. Once I was in my room I fell on my bed. But I ended up feeling more pain because I fell too hard onto the bed.
I slowly fell asleep but as soon as I closed my eyes I saw the flashes back to when Nathan threw the punches. I sigh and go downstairs after waking up.
Everyone looked at me
"Hey. I thought you said you were going to sleep" Eric said to me
"I um.....I can't sleep honestly" I said to him
He sighs and comes over to me. "Lets go upstairs. I'll tell you a story" He said and gently pat my shoulder
We head back up to my room. We sat on my bed together.
"I know what you are going thru Mikey" He said
"How?" I asked. "Did you ever get beaten up so bad you passed out?" I asked
"No but I did have a serious injury" He said
Then I remember back to 4 years ago. And how everyone was scared for some reason.
"What happened 4 years ago Eric?" I asked him
He sighs. "I got hit in the car. By a guy who hit then ran. I was in the car for at least 5 minutes. But I lost conscious in a minute. I didn't wake up until late that night. You were only 5 when it happened but I was in a wheelchair for a long time" He said
"I remember the wheelchair. You have had it for the past 3 years" I said
"Yeah well that one injury destroyed my life. I could have died. But I didn't. But the point I am trying to make is. That I still have flashes of that. Of me flipping in the car and crashing hard. But you know what I did?" He asked me. I shook my head no. "I had a great support system. But I also had a great therapist" He said
"So you think I should see a therapist for this?" I asked him
"I honestly think it could help you a lot" He said nodding
I nod. "How long did it take for you not to have the flashes?" I asked him
"I still have them but they aren't serve like they were before I was on my medicine" He said
I nod and just try to process what he told me.
"So you think I will get better?" I asked
"Your memory will always be there. And it will show you episodes of what happened today. But if you get some medicine that will help. Then it won't be as bad as it is right now. And that's the whole point to medicine" He said
"Your story didn't seem happy for awhile did it?" I asked him
He smiles softly. "No it wasn't happy for a long time. But look at me now. I'm better. I'm pretty much back to normal" He said. "Just be glad a beating gets recovered faster than what had happened to me" He said patting my shoulder
"I'll try to sleep again" I said laying down
"Goodnight Mikey. I love you" He said
"Goodnight Eric. I love you too" I said smiling at him
I slowly went to sleep.
(Eric's POV)
After walking out of Mikey's room I went to Carley's and I's room. EJ is asleep in Carley's arms. I smile and go over
"Hey. How did the talk go?" She asked looking at me
"Well I told him that medicine might help him" I said sitting on the bed
"Yeah but he's pretty young" She said to me
"Car he's already having flashes of what happened today" I said to her
"I know but maybe we can just get him to talk to someone" She said
"Talking only helps so much" I said to her
"That may be true but talking helps" She said. "Here can you go put EJ to bed?" She asked about to hand him over to me
"Of course" I said holding onto my son. He was still asleep after he came into my arms.
I walked over to the next door since that's where his room is. I slowly put EJ on his crib. I kiss his head softly
"Goodnight buddy. I love you" I said and walked out of his room and went back to Carley's and I's
"Was he is still asleep?" She asked looking at me
"Luckily yes" I said sitting on the bed
"Well I'm gonna go to bed. I'll see you in the morning" She said then kissed my lips. "Goodnight" She said then turned over
"Goodnight Car. I love you" I said
"I love you" She said. Then I heard her fall asleep
I go on my computer real quick to see how I can help Mikey. But most of them say that since I am an adult now I just have to listen to him.
I turned my computer off and went to sleep for the night.
