(Eric's POV)
I woke up this morning with something on my chest. I saw it was EJ and he was looking at me. Did I bring him in here last night? I can't seem to remember. And I didn't even drink last night.
My phone was ringing. So I picked up my phone and saw that it was Carley FaceTiming us. I smile and answer it
"Hello" I said
"Hi" She said with a smile
"Did you call to see our son or me?" I asked with a smile
"Both" She said. "I miss you guys. And i missed being in your arms last night" She said softly.
"Yeah I missed having you in my arms. But EJ kept me company" I said to her
"Where is EJ?" She asked
I turn the camera on my phone to show EJ. He slowly opens his eyes.
"EJ do you see mommy?" I asked him.
He tries to take my phone but I held on to my phone just so he doesn't drop it. I also held onto EJ so he could not fall off me.
"Ohh I miss you my baby boy" Carley said to EJ. "Eric, you're gonna help him with his little suit right?" She asked
"Yes i will. Don't worry Car" I said after putting the camera back on me
"No ties!" She said
"Carley I know. I'm not stupid" I said
"I know you aren't but we did get him a tie" She said
"I only got that because you said it was cute. I wasn't actually gonna put it on him" I said
"Ok" She said nodding. "You should start getting ready. Its 10 in the morning. The wedding is at 2" She said
"Guys don't take too long to get ready" I said
"Ok" She said
"When are you girls gonna get ready?" I asked her
"We are all meeting at Ellie's at 11:30. Since all of us have to get our hair and makeup done" She said
"Well then you need to get ready missy" I said to her
"Well jokes on you. I'm at Ellie's already" She said and she did a playful face
"Wow you're beautiful" I said with a smile
She laughs. "You're so weird" She said
"You know when a boyfriend compliments his girlfriend the right response is thank you" I said
"Yeah well thats not the right response when you're truly being weird" She said giving me a smile
"I love you Carley" I said to her
"I love you Eric" She said with a smile
"How is the soon to be wife?" I asked her
"Currently sleeping. But I know she's gonna freak out as soon as she wakes up" She said
"Carley!" I heard Ellie yell for her
"Well thats my cue to calm her down. I'll see you at the ceremony" She said
"Alright. I love you Carley. I really do" I said
"I love you Eric. I really do" She said. Ellie yelled again. "I have to go. Give EJ a kiss for me. Bye" She said then hung up
"Your almost aunt is crazy" I said to EJ.
EJ and I got up and watched tv for awhile
(Carley's POV)
Once I end the call with Eric I go into Ellie's room. I see her flipping out.
"Ell what's wrong?" I asked her
"I just came to notice that today is the day that I'm really getting married" She said
"Ok and?" i asked confused
"I'm scared Carley" She said sitting on her bed
I sigh. I walked over and sat next to her on her bed. "How long have we been dreaming of our knights to come pick us off our feet?" I asked her
"Since we were 5. What does that have to do with anything?" She asked confused
"Just talking. I'll get to my point soon but just listen would you?" I asked her
She nods and just waits for me to continue
"Like I was saying. We have been wanting for two guys to come pick us up from the nightmare of the world. Now I would never say this to his face but Arthur is the knight of your story Ell. And he has been for the past 5 or so years. You and Arthur have been thru a lot like that time with Santana. If he could resist Santana then he could and can resist anyone. And he does it for you. I see it in his eyes Ell. He treats you like you are his whole world. And it's probably because in his eyes you are his whole world. I know its scary to think about getting married and especially at our age. But you and him are at the right stage of your life. You guys have taken the slow route but you are succeeding. And listen at least you never got pregnant in High school like some of our classmates did" I said throwing in a joke
She laughs and gives me a hug
"Thank you Car. I needed a little peep talk" She said
"And that's why you made me the maid of honor. Because you know that I am the only one who could calm you down" I said putting my hand on hers
"Well also because we promised each other that we would be each other's maid of honor" She said with a laugh
"That too" I said with a laugh of my own.
"I'm starving" She said
"Well I can make us breakfast before all the girls come" I said to her
"Ok" She said
"Alright. I'll be downstairs making eggs and cheese" I said. After saying that I go down to her kitchen and start to make food for the both of us.
(Few Hours Later)
(Carley's POV Still)
It is currently 1:50 in the afternoon. Only a few more minutes before we start. Ellie had another break down but I got her to calm down like I did this morning.
"Alright bridal shower lets get you into line with your partner" One of the people said
I go in line and Eric stands next to me. He leans in my ear and whispers. "You look extremely beautiful"
I blush. "Thank you" I said to him
We walked down the isle hand and hand. I saw that EJ was in Stephanie's arms. And he looks extremely cute. Just like his daddy is right now.
"EJ looks great" I said whispering to him
"Yeah I dressed him that's why" Eric said with a laugh
Once we get to the little thing that Ellie and Arthur were gonna be standing on. Eric and I separated and went to each of the sides. I was the closest to Ellie because I was the maid of honor. And Eric was the closest to Arthur because he was the best man
Arthur came out after Eric and I. Arthur walked out with his mom and dad. Then they sat down while Arthur went on the stand thingy.
"All raise for the bride" The priest said
Then Ellie came down. I looked over at Arthur and saw he was crying. Like I said Arthur was the knight that Ellie was waiting for. I smile and looked back at my best friend. She honestly looked amazing. And I am so happy that she is feeling better than she did this morning.
Once Ellie hugged her mom and kissed her dad on the cheek. Arthur goes over and takes Ellie's hand.
Ellie gave me her flowers to hold. Then they both go on up to the stand thingy. I don't know what it's called.
"You may be seated" The priest said. Once everyone sat. The only ones standing were the groom party and the bride party. Also Arthur and Ellie but that was mostly a given.
"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to celebrate the love of Ellen Samantha Goodman and Arthur Benjamin Rogers" He started
After his long speech of what every priest says at every wedding
"Now the groom has some vows?" He said about Arthur. Arthur nods. "You may now say them" He said to Arthur
(Ellie's POV)
Arthur pulled out a paper. I looked confused but smile. He looks at me with a smile
"Ellie, where to begin" He said with a chuckle. "I fell for you in freshman year when I wasn't looking for someone to love. We did happen to already know each other since we were in the same kindergarten class. Thank you Mrs.Brown" He said even though she wasn't here. I just laughed at that. He continues. "I never thought I would find my best friend, and soulmate all in one person. Some people would call me lucky. And honestly I would agree. Ellie you have been the light in my life since we started to date. You always make me laugh even when I am mad. Usually at my idiot cousin" he said then looked over at Eric. Eric makes a hurt face but then laughs. "We have had so many downs in our relationship but that only made the ups so much sweeter. I would have never wanted to take this journey with anyone but you. And i am so happy it is you that is standing right across from me. I love you Ellen Samantha Goodman. And I promise I will love you for the rest of my life" He said then put the paper away
I was crying really hard. I didn't even know he wanted to do vows. So now I kind of look stupid for not having any.
"Can we get to the i do's" He said to the priest
"Do you Arthur Benjamin Rogers take Ellen Samantha Goodman to be your lawful wife to have and to hold. In sickness and health?" He asked Arthur
"I 100 percent Do" He said with a smile as he held my hand
The priest then turns to me. "Do you Ellen Samantha Goodman take Arthur Benjamin Rogers to be your lawful husband to have and to hold. In sickness or in health?" He asked me
"I do" I said smiling
"I now pronounce you man and wife" He said then looked at Arthur. "You may kiss your bride" He said
"Don't mind if I do!" Arthur said then pulled me into him and dipped me. He then kissed me passionately. Honestly the most passionate kiss we have ever felt.
After a minute he helps me up. Then I get the flower from Carley and walked down the isle with my now husband.
(At Reception)
(Eric's POV)
It is currently now 4:30 in the afternoon. And everyone is waiting for the husband and wife to come in.
The DJ hits the mic to get our attention
"Ladies and Gentleman please welcome for the first time. Mr and Mrs.Rogers!" the DJ said.
A song was playing as they walked in. Everyone clapped for them.
Some people were dancing while others were talking.
"Will everyone clear the floor as the husband and wife have their first dance" The DJ said
Speechless by Dan and Shay comes on. Ellie laughs and Arthur does a stupid move. But they do come together and start to slow dance.
I looked over at Carley and put my hand out for her.
"Eric it's their first dance" She said
"There is other couples going on the dance floor with them. Come on don't leave me hanging" I said desperately
She took my hand. Then we walked onto the floor with the couple. But James and Taylor are on the floor. So is Michelle and Ben.
Once the song was over Carley and I head over to EJ. Who was still in my moms arm.
"Hey bud" i said taking EJ out of my mom's arms.
He looks and touches my face. I smile.
"You two are so cute" Carley said running her hand on his little face
"Now for the father, daughter dance" The DJ said
Carley and I stayed with EJ. I watched Arthur and Aunt Evie go on the floor when Ellie and her father go on the floor.
After that dance it was dinner time. EJ had milk from Carley like normal. But she went to the bathroom to do this. Just because she was in a dress. And honestly I didn't want her to do it in a crowded room.
After eating I thought now was a good time to do my speech. So I go to the DJ and told him I was gonna do my speech. So he gave me a mic.
I walked onto the dance floor in front of Arthur and Ellie
I cough silently. "Hello? Can everyone hear me?" I asked into the mic
"Yes!" I heard everyone say
"Alright well, hi. My name is Eric Wilson. I am the cousin of the groom but I am also known as the best man" I said and got some laughs. "So Arthur and I go way back. I mean we have know each other since he was born. I am older than him so I got that over him" I said with a laugh. "Arthur, I have never seen you be happy with anyone other than Ellie. She is your dream girl. And people I'm not kidding. Arthur and I wrote a letter to Santa as a kid and he literally asked for a girlfriend" i said. Everyone laughed. "He wrote a pretty big detailed letter to Santa too. Arth you remember that?" I asked him. He laughs and nods. "And in that later he described his perfect girl. And it turns out he found her in Freshman year of High school. And when he told me about Ellie he said and I quote. "Coz....I found her. I have found the girl I have dreamed of ever since we wrote those silly letters in kindergarten". When he told me that, i was shocked. But I did meet her that Christmas and I did see what he meant. Ellie was.....is really the girl of his dreams. Personality and all. It's like the gods of love shined bright on you two. Ellie please keep being the sunlight Arthur needs. Because now it's on you to make him happy. Oh and welcome to the family Ellie" I said raising my glass
Arthur came over to me and bro hugged me. I nodded. Then I made my way to my seat so now it was Carley's turn.
(Carley's POV)
Eric's speech honestly made me cry. But I'm about to make everyone cry as well. I took the mic from Eric and went in the spot he was just in
"Hi everyone. I'm Carley Levi. Maid of honor of the bride. So Ellie and I have been best friends since diapers. So in a way we kind of had a similar story to Arthur and Eric. However we never wrote letters to Santa to ask for our knights. No you see one day in kindergarten, Ellie and I were being picked on. No we didn't get physical hurt but emotionally we did. So we had a sleepover that night and we talked about what our knights would look and be like. Ellie always said that her knight would be at least 6 foot tall. So Arthur thank god you're over 6 feet huh?" I asked joking. "In all seriousness. She also talked about how he would have a good sense of humor almost like hers. And he would be smoking hot. Now flash forward to Freshman year of High school. Ellie and I were pretty much in the same classes but one class we didn't have was gym. Which sucked but I knew she would be fine. Our other friends at the time were with her so it turned out good. But after school one day that year, she came over to my house with a bump on her head. So I asked her what happened. She told me the whole story how she got hit with a dodgeball but she always talked about the savior. Arthur Rogers was his name. Now I never met him so I was kind of concerned she made him up. But the next week she brought him over to my house for a movie night. And thats when I met him. And he looked like the knight she described. After that I kind of became the third wheel constantly. And Arthur's brother would agree. But then I meant my boyfriend who is the best man. Yes my boyfriend is the cousin of Arthur. Now today Ellie was freaking out about what was going to happen. And if Arthur was going to bail or not. But I told her about our knights. Our knights have came for us after all Ell. Arthur I hope you treat Ellie like a true princess like you have for the past couples of years. Because she deserves a knight. You both deserve each other" I said
Ellie come up and hugged me. "I love you Car" She said into my ear
"Love you too Ell" I said while hugging her back
After that everyone pretty much partied until 10 at night. But before everyone said goodbye and goodnight. Ellie threw her flowers into the crowed
And I happened to grab them. Well they really fell into my hands. Eric looks at me with a smile.
Maybe I will be next. Only time will tell.
