Dianna threw her eggs.

"Little girl!" Missouri was so tired. Dianna had been very fussy since her parents were gone. She also had been quite naughty.

Dianna rebelled against her cage (her high-chair) and screamed.

Adam walked in for breakfast himself and sighed. "Still upset, sweetheart?"

Dianna looked up at her uncle with misery in her mint eyes.

He pinched her chubby cheek. "I know. I miss your mommy, too."

Missouri slapped him with her dish towel.

"Ow!"

Sam frowned as he and Margot walked in. "What's going on in here?"

"She hit me!" Adam was offended.

"Stop chasing behind Calliope. She is married to your brother." Missouri waggled her finger.

"Still, Adam?" Sam huffed.

"I haven't done anything!" Adam was cross now.

"Uh huh." Sam helped Margot get breakfast.

"You guys are mean." Adam went to leave but Missouri hit him again.

"Get back here and eat!" She snapped.

"You're just abusive!"

"Sit down and eat!"

Dianna threw more eggs at Adam.

¥

Dean opened the door to the bunker and ushered Calliope in.

No one was around so they went to their room to put their things inside before knocking on doors. No one was inside the fortress period.

So the two shrugged and went about unpacking and taking a nap.

¥

Dean and Calliope awoke to noises in the bunker so they got up to check. Everyone was coming inside and laughing. "Hello."

Dianna screamed and waved her arms. Sam put her on her feet and she ran to her parents, dropping her stuffed dolphin on the way. She encircled their legs and cried.

Calliope bent slightly to pat her head. "It is alright, young one."

Dean picked Dianna up. "What have they been doing to you?"

Dianna wrapped her little chubby arms around her father's neck as her family got offended. "Hey!"

Calliope reached up so she could kiss Dianna's cheek.

Dianna calmed slowly.

"We missed you, too!" Adam barked.

The adults gave him a heavy lidded look.

"At least I did."

Everyone looked at Dean, who narrowed his eyes but rocked with Dianna.

"We have missed you as well." Calliope shrugged.

Margot ran to hug her. "Your child is a demon."

Calliope started.

"It's a metaphor!" Sam spoke quickly.

Calliope relaxed.

Meg took her turn. "Don't go on any more vacations for a while. This place isn't as fun without you."

Calliope beamed. "Okay!"

"Calli." Dean tried not to laugh. "We're going on more vacations."

"We're fun!" Adam shook a fist.

Benny cracked up as he got his hugs in. "I hate to agree with the whippersnapper but I am fun incarnate."

Sam ignored them all to hug his older brother and his new sister-in-law.

Dean palmed the back of his brother's neck. "Missed you, Sammy."

Sam misted up but kept his cool. "Missed you, too."

Castiel hugged his sister and new (only) brother-in-law. "Meg is right. You make everything better."

Calliope beamed. "As do you, brother."

"Get over here." Dean demanded of his youngest brother.

Adam slepped over and hugged his big brother.

Dean couldn't stand him. "You get two seconds."

"Two seconds?"

"To hug my wife."

"You're getting a lot of mileage out of this wife thing, aren't you?"

"Get over there."

Adam wrinkled his nose before sweeping Calliope up in a hug and squeezing.

"Oof!" Calliope squeaked.

"Time's up!" Dean spat.

Adam let her go, mad about it.

Missouri was tired of all of them and hugged Dean and Calliope. "We all missed you both very much."

"Thanks, Mom." Dean smirked.

She blushed.

"Thank you!" Calliope chirped.

Missouri pinched her chubby cheek.

"Where were you guys when we came back?" Dean questioned.

"A fair came to town." Sam admitted. "We thought Di could use one with you guys being gone."

"A fair?" Calliope was trying to see if she knew what that was.

"Like a small carnival."

She didn't know what a carnival was.

"We can show you tomorrow. They're here for six weeks."

She squealed happily.

Dianna pointed to her dolphin.

"Want Benny?" Sam asked.

"Yeah! Yeah!"

Sam picked up the dolphin and gave it to her.

Dean raised a brow. "Benny? She named it after Benny or did he name it after himself?"

Benny grew offended. "She loves me and she loves it! Of course she'll call it Benny!"

Dean rolled his pine eyes.

"Benjamin is a pleasant name." Calliope thought so.

"It is a little sexy." Meg ribbed Castiel.

"I've always thought it was cute." Margot agreed.

Missouri thought it over. "You're right. Every Benjamin is attractive."

Benny preened.

"Alright, we're going away now." Dean didn't like this.

"Didn't you just spend two weeks alone?" Adam complained.

"I hate agreeing with him but he's right." Sam said. "Spend some time with us."

"You're clingy." Dean muttered.

Calliope squeezed his hand. "We can spend time with you. What shall we do?"

"We can play CandyLand." Adam offered devilishly.

Calliope's toffee eyes sparkled.

Dean was so mad. "We can't. The game caught on fire."

Her whole face dropped in disappointment. "Can we not purchase another?"

"Where?" Sam truly wanted to know.

"I don't think they make CandyLand anymore, Calli." Dean lied gently.

Now Calliope was sad.

Dean could kill Adam. "It's okay. We can watch TV. You love Scooby-Doo. We can watch an old episode and check out Velma and Daphne together."

"Okay." Calliope had a... preoccupation with Velma Dinkley.

Adam gave Dean a flat look. "How did CandyLand catch on fire?"

Dean threw Adam a hot glare. "You set it on fire."

Adam gaped as Calliope looked at him in hurt. "Why would you set CandyLand on fire, Adam?"

Adam's mouth moved in shock but nothing came out.

"Yeah, why'd you do that, Adam?" Dean taunted.

Adam made a strange bird like sound in offense.

Sam scoffed in amusement.

Benny was wiping away tears, trying to be quiet so he could hear.

Castiel was confused. "That seems really rude to burn CandyLand, Adam."

Meg made a sound, trying not to laugh.

Margot was watching with wide eyes.

Missouri couldn't stand any of them. "Did you set that game on fire, Adam?"

"No!" Adam found his tongue.

"Liar." Dean folded his arms across his chest.

Adam couldn't believe him! "What?!"

"Adam." Calliope stared at him in pain. "I'm so disappointed in you. It's bad enough to burn CandyLand to ashes but to lie about it?"

"I'm not!" Adam's voice rose a few octaves.

"Listen to him." Dean taunted. "Liars always sound high pitched."

"You-!"

"Don't blame me for knowing your tell."

"I-!"

"Suck for turning CandyLand into a parking lot."

Adam stared at everyone looking at him before stomping off for his room.

"What is going on with him?" Calliope wondered.

"He's behaving so strangely." Castiel agreed.

"What do you think it is?" Calliope clucked worriedly.

Castiel shrugged. "Demon blood?"

"No!" Sam came alive. "We're not going through that again! No one in this family is drinking demon blood!"

"Then what do you think it is, Sam?" Calliope demanded.

Sam looked at Dean, who smirked. "He might still be upset about the wedding."

"Still?" Calliope echoed. "He was upset about the wedding?"

"Calliope." Sam looked at her in sympathy. "He still has feelings for you."

"Still?!" She groused.

Dean laughed.

Meg was right behind him.

Castiel frowned. "Why are you laughing?"

"Seriously." Missouri snapped. "This little boy is hurting and you're laughing at his pain."

Dean scoffed. "Pain?"

"What if Calliope didn't love you back?"

He snorted.

"You're not that gorgeous..."

He thought otherwise.

Calliope was dead confused. "I don't understand."

"Imagine you loved Dean but he didn't love you back. That's how Adam feels." Margot helped.

Calliope cocked her head, trying to understand. "If Dean did not return my affections, I would find someone new to give them to."

Meg whooped.

Missouri almost laughed. "It's not so easy."

"Why not?" Calliope asked. "If you do not love me then I do not love you."

"It hurts, sweetheart. Emotions are messy."

Calliope thought it over before shaking her head. "No. I would find someone new and Dean would never know. I will not pine for anyone; not even Dean."

Meg loved that. "Yes!"

Missouri had to say she approved as well. "Emotions are messy."

"Emotions are... odd." Calliope admitted.

"Very." Castiel muttered.

"It's the burden we carry." Missouri told them.

Calliope's shoulders slumped. "I will speak with Adam."

Dean was appalled. "What about the show?"

"That's been off regular viewing since 1970?"

He gave her a flat look.

"I will speak with Adam."

"Kiss me."

That doubly confused her. "Why?"

"Calli. Kiss me."

"Whatever for?!"

"Calli."

She couldn't stand him and his strangeness. She lifted up to kiss his lips quickly then stalked off to find Adam.

Dianna giggled.

Dean tickled her tummy. "Mommy's still thinkin bout that kiss."

"Oh greatness." Missouri rolled her eyes.

¥

Calliope knocked on Adam's door gently.

Adam answered. "Oh. Hey."

"May I enter?"

"Are you sure your caveman will let you?"

"Caveman?" She cocked her head.

"Dean."

She giggled, imagining Dean as a caveman.

He lit up at her giggling and moved.

She entered his room and sat on his bed. She patted the space next to her gently.

He sat next to her. "We're going to have a "talk", aren't we?"

That was confusing. She blinked at him.

"A serious talk."

She grimaced but nodded. "Yes. It's come to my attention that you still have romantic feelings for me."

He groaned loudly and threw himself back on the bed.

"Is that code for it is untrue?" She peeked at him.

He rubbed his hands over his face roughly. "No."

"Adam..." She peered at him in hurt.

"Leave me alone!" He turned from her.

"I do not understand."

"I see!"

"Why are you behaving this way? Do I bring this out in you?"

He groaned again and sat up. "I don't know. I just know that it's eating me alive seeing you with him."

"Why? We have been... with each other since we met. Why is this a problem now?"

"It's not. Or it is." He tried to gather his thoughts. "I hated that you guys were together before but I could pretend that one day you'd wake up and suddenly be into me but then you got married. Married! Now I know you won't ever be mine! That's-!"

She hugged him.

"That's worse." All the fight left him and he deflated.

"What is worse?"

"You being nice to me."

"Must I be cruel?"

"No. But you're trying to get me to get over you and I'm kinda offended by it but it's so nice of you but of course it is because you're nice."

She mostly understood that rambling mess. "You believe I am the nice?"

"Yeah. You're nice. But more than that. You're kind. You don't want me hurting and that just makes me love you more and that hurts worse because I can't have that."

She grew wildly frustrated. "What can I do? It has been months since our first talk. Are you any closer to un-loving me?"

"I don't know if it works that way." He truly didn't. "I just know I look into those pretty brown eyes and I feel...-"

"Yes?"

"I feel."

She worked her mouth before disappearing.

He cursed softly and rubbed his light hair.

It took two seconds for her to return.

"Who needed inspiration?" He realized she hadn't just disappeared on him.

"Your future wife."

He frowned and cocked his head. "Abi? Is she taking another test?"

"No."

"Is she making something?"

"No."

"What did she need inspiration for?"

"To find you."

His blue eyes widened. "Why? What about the timeline? What about her freedom?"

"You need her. As long as everyone has someone and you do not, you will always hold me in your heart. You do not deserve that and neither does she. You deserve to be together and happy and happy together."

"Thank you." He meant that.

"You are very welcome." She meant that.

He smiled into her eyes.

"Why did you burn down CandyLand?"

His expression went flat.

¥

Dean perked up when Calliope walked into their room. "Hey. Ready to watch the show?"

Calliope tossed him a poisoned look.

Dean's heart fell. "He told on me?"

She cocked her head with a frown.

"He did not?" He was smart but he couldn't read minds.

"What are you speaking about, Dean?"

"Nothing."

She looked at him strangely.

"Why'd you look at me like that?"

"Like what?"

"Like I did something wrong."

"You did."

"So he did tell on me!"

"Dean."

"I'm beating him up."

"Dean."

"Little rat. Crowley was right. He's a weasel."

"Dean."

"I'm going to pay him back."

"Dean!"

He snapped to. "What?"

"What are you speaking about?"

"What did I do wrong?" He countered.

"Being so mean to Adam."

"So you don't care about CandyLand?"

"What about CandyLand?" Her gaze sharpened.

"Nothing." He said quickly. "So I'm being mean to the little runt?"

She narrowed her coffee eyes before coming to the bed. "You are being very unkind to your baby brother."

"Me?!" He sat up.

"Yes. You."

"What?!" He stammered, stumbling over the word.

"You." She repeated louder.

He gave her a flat look. "I am not being "unkind" to the twerp."

"You just called him a twerp."

"You don't even know what that means."

"I know it's negative."

His jaw dropped.

"You are being very inconsiderate of his feelings on this matter. He has romantic feelings for me and instead of helping him stop, you mock and deride him. Castiel and I speak very lovingly to each other. You do not with Adam and honestly Sam."

"Wait a minute!" He felt attacked.

She grabbed the new smartphone he'd bought her on their way home and set the timer, very serious about this discussion.

"No. I meant- Make it two minutes." He wanted to come up with a good argument.

She set it for two minutes then looked at him.

He scratched his head, wondering how he got into this then how he'd get out.

She stared at him for one minute, forty five seconds then looked at her phone to watch the timer go off.

He hated her literalness at times but he was thankful for this one. When the timer went off, he had a counter. "I don't think he's been very kind to me either."

She looked up and he hurried to paste a hurt expression onto his face. "Why do you believe Adam has been unkind?"

"He has a crush on my wife. What if you leave me for him?" He was kind of proud of himself for that one.

"You believe this? That I will leave you for your brother?" She was visibly horrified.

"Maybe? You have a lot in common. You're the same age physically and you have the same sense of humor and he looks at you like you invented chocolate." He frowned. Was he not lying anymore?

Her jaw dropped. "No! We are the same age physically but my mind is much older and he is simply too young for me. We have the same humor but so do Sam and I and so do I and you. I am too new to Earth. I laugh at anything. As for inventing chocolate, I did give the inventor inspiration for it but I did not myself invent it nor is that adequate reason to ruin so many lives. I have the loving emotion for you and you alone."

"But you told Mom that you'd love someone else if I didn't love you back." That had been stuck in his head all day.

"That is true. I did say that and I meant it. I love you, Dean but I will not pine over you. If you cease to love me one day, I will find someone else to love."

He knew what that meant. He had to stay on his toes.

"I can see you thinking."

He pouted. "So if I mess up, you'll leave me?"

"Dean, this is not a game. Love me because you love who I am; not because you have the jealousy feeling. I am not a token nor prize to be won."

His shoulders slumped. "You're right."

She peered at him.

"I'm sorry."

"Does this mean you cease to love me?"

He double blinked before his olive eyes widened. "No! I'm just going to be a better man!"

Her insecure whiskey eyes shown wet.

He took her hand. "I love you. I will always love you. But you're right. I let my jealousy get out of hand and I act like a jerk. The truth is, Adam did not burn down CandyLand. It's still in the closet."

She gasped.

"I only said he burned it because he put me on the spot for lying about it catching on fire in the first place."

"Why, Dean? Why would you do that?"

"Jealousy. Besides, you scare me."

Her gingerbread eyes grew. "I scare you?"

"Yeah. When you play games, it's terrifying. I've never met a more competitive person. And so random at that. It's horrifying."

She felt terrible. "I am sorry."

"No. I should just explain sportsmanship to you. Not be scared you're going to yell at me over Monopoly."

"I yell?" She was unaware that she did that.

He nodded sadly.

She was hurt and upset with herself. "I started this."

"No, I did. I should have just been a man and told you the truth but I lied and doubled down and lied on my own baby brother to escape that lie. I'm sorry. You didn't deserve that and neither did Adam."

The corner of her mouth kicked up. "I like this side to you."

"What side?" He frowned lightly.

"The gentle earnest side. Usually you are very much grrr! but now you are more prrr!."

He burst out laughing at her growling and purring.

She smiled at him laughing.

"Wow! I needed that." He wiped away tears of mirth. "Do it again."

She swatted him.

He grinned. "I am sorry and I'll apologize to Adam tomorrow."

"It is still daylight. Why not now?"

"Because I have to be thorough in my groveling to you."

"Groveling?"

He waggled his eyebrows.

She burst out laughing at his "sexy" face and threw herself at him.

¥

And groveling took all night because he was very... thorough.
