WARNING: Dirty talk.
A/N: So so so... there has been a lot of expectation around this chapter. One of the first things you probably noticed is the lack of dot! Sorry about that! I have decided to split the chapter in two, so the next one is definitely the smut one! If i combined the two parts, it would have been wayyy too long!
This one is dedicated to @ - Kmaybank! Thanks for all your overwhelming support! And I'm glad the lines are not as confusing as before haha.
Sorry to all of you for the blue balls, don't worry, it won't be for long!

Anakin's POV
"How have I never noticed your book collection? There's some interesting pieces. -P."
I smiled at the text.
"Are you lurking in my room? –A."
"When you come back, you will have to deal with me here more often. I have grown to like it more than my own room."
"If that day ever arrives." I rolled my eyes and huffed to myself, turning my head to stare at the emptiness of space.
My body, my mind, everything in me was fatigued. There hasn't been a single day in the last three months in which I haven't been on a mission and/or on a foreign planet; It was definitely pushing my limits. My fingers rubbed the skin of my forehead, massaging some stress away. I closed my eyes and leaned back on the pilot chair, after activating the auto-pilot mode.
And worst of all, worse than my worn-out muscles, worse than my exhausted mental health, was my stinging heart; I missed her, so damn much.
More than I wanted to, more than I needed to.
These past months were an absolute nightmare, being constantly teased of a much-needed reunion while being torn apart at the same time. I couldn't keep doing this; it was killing me, utterly destroying me.
Just when I was falling asleep, my commlink beeped. I put my legs down from the control panel and sprinted to answer the call; It could be Phoenix. It had been days since we had last spoken, due to the fact that my latest mission was consuming most of my time. My index finger dashed to press the green button and the blue hologram popped into my view. But it was not who I was expecting.
—Son! So nice to see you. How's life? — Qui-Gon greeted me with a big smile.
—Barely hanging on, master. — I chuckled, masking my true words as a joke. —Arbra... —And right when I was proceeding to give him a mission revision, he stopped me.
—Woah, woah, woah...Stop right there son. —Qui-Gon lifted his hand. —Why don't you give me the mission report face-to-face? —He crossed his arms and gave me a smug look.
—What? —I frowned. I thought I was already doing so.
—That's why I'm calling you. —He grinned. —I'm bringing you back to Coruscant. You're coming home.

Y/n's POV
—And what are we having today? —I sang to Obi-Wan as I entered the kitchen looking for breakfast. I was still in my pajamas during a weekday, however, I truly didn't care if the clones saw me like this.
—Today's breakfast is not on me, sweetie. —Obi-Wan sat down heavily on the booth of the kitchen island. —I'm still kind of hangover. —He slurped on his coffee. —Your turn.
—Obi-Wan, if I cook, I'll burn the whole damn kitchen. —I argued, frowning at the end.
—Oh, c'mon, I'm always making breakfast, you can do it for once. —He snarled, leaning his head on his palm.
—I can share my cereal. —I offered, like it was a huge sacrifice.
—Fine, but check if there's milk first. Qui-Gon is always leaving empty cartons in the fridge.
I grabbed the box, picked up the bowls and checked the milk, and poured everything together. Some clones had left some toasts on a plate, so I stole a couple and served them with butter and jam.
—There you go, enjoy it. —I pushed the bowl to him before grabbing a spoonful and putting it in my mouth.
—Oh, Force. —Obi-Wan made a face and then swallowed it. —This is delicious. —He widened his eyes and picked up some more.
—Right? Right? That's why I don't share!
—With reason. This is so good. —He nodded while chewing.
—I got it at this nice spot in the market, I can show it to you. —I proposed enthusiastically.
—You will need to take me once you drive a speeder.
—You will be waiting a while, old man. Your new mullet is going to be covered in gray hairs by the time Anakin comes back. —I huffed, looking at the wall with annoyance. —Don't you have a speeder? —I wondered out of curiosity.
—Nah. —He shook his head. —I drive them, but I don't like them. —He grimaced.
—Maybe you could borrow one of Anakin's repaired ones-
—Not even if my life depended on it. —He paused after every word. —I don't trust any of Anakin's ships.
—What? He is the best engineer I know! —I scoffed, drinking some orange juice.
—He is the only engineer you know. —He rolled his eyes and chuckled. —And he is not even a certified one.
—Well, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I bet they are not thaaaat bad. —Something told me that I was wrong. Completely wrong.
—Do you talk to him? —Obi-Wan inquired after seconds of silence, sipping milk directly from the bowl.
—Sometimes. — I shrugged my shoulders, looking down. —Not that much lately. You?
—No. Last thing I knew he was in Arbra.
—Yeah, right, right. —I rested my head on my palm. —I followed your advice. We had a really good talk the other night. —My grin let Obi-Wan know how appreciative I was. —You were right, it was great. We really got to know each other. —My cheeks flustered.
—Wow, you would look at that! —Obi-Wan gasped and laughed. —This I did not see coming. I love that for you guys, let's toast to that! —And he picked up the toast by the side of his plate and put it up.
—You didn't just...You didn't... Obi- —His big, pleading eyes made to surrender, picking up the piece of bread and clashing it with his, to which he beamed.
We kept on gossiping about our troops during breakfast; apparently Commander Cody had a crush on Taaray.
—No way... wait, I think I saw them in a tent the other day- Hey! There's the birthday man! —Obi-Wan yelled and clapped when Qui-Gon showed up, still in his pajamas.
Qui-Gon chuckled and filled his coffee mug to sit in the booth in front of us.
—The big 6-0. How's that like? —I sipped some juice.
Qui-Gon was the type of person that wouldn't make such a big deal about birthdays, especially the ones that got him close to being a senior citizen. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't plan anything at all.
—It doesn't feel accurate. —He frowned. — But I've decided that celebration or not, I'm still turning 60- —He grimaced, and then bit on his pastry. —So... I'm having a party! —He shouted with his mouth full.
—A party? When? Your birthday is tomorrow and there's no way you can plan something fancy in this amount of time. —I tilted my head.
—Tomorrow. In the ballroom. —He smiled and moved his eyebrows. —But nothing fancy. No senators, no politicians, no Emperor shit. Just booze... and booze, and good music. And maybe we can order some pizza.
—Are you for real? —Obi-Wan raised his eyebrows.
—He better be, I'm already arranging everything. —Commander Wolf, from Qui-Gon's private troop, entered through the kitchen.
—Inner circle only; no captains, generals or, Force forbid, Krennic here. Only you guys; the troops and some other friends. —Qui-Gon chewed on the last piece of the bun.
— I wouldn't like to be Anakin right now. —Obi-Wan chuckled.
—Oh, didn't I tell you? Anakin's coming back today. —He said, munching on his breakfast.
Needless to say, the remaining milk almost exploded through my nostrils. Checking my commlink, I saw that I had no new messages.
—Today? —My eyes widened and Obi-Wan handed me a handkerchief to clean myself up as I coughed.
—Yeah, he should be on his way. Maker, you must really hate his guts...
◇◆◇◆◇◆◈◇◆◇◆◇◆
I checked the clock with unease and huffed.
[6:50pm]
Qui-Gon told us that Anakin could arrive at any given moment during the afternoon and here I was in my room waiting like a fucking loser. My commlink was constantly being flipped to see if he had the audacity to tell me something about his whereabouts. Or anything at all. But no.
Fuck this. Anakin is not the center of the universe.
I hopped off the couch to reach for the knives on my drawer to throw on my personal target when my commlink beeped. It was a text from Qui-Gon.
"Please come to the hangar to welcome Anakin and the 501st."
Rushing to the main entrance to the hangar, I felt my hands sweating, the horrible sensation of having your heart beat too loudly and my stomach hurling. I picked on the skin besides my thumb nails, trying to control myself. I had no idea why I was so nervous, it was only him. At that moment my whole mood changed.
I was finally seeing him.
My nerves dropped and the butterflies came back.
I was finally seeing Anakin.
All I've wanted for months, so why was I making excuses to feel happy?
The 399th was arriving at the exact time as I was, so they lined up in a triangular form behind me before entering. Everyone else was already there, but no sign of the Resolution cruiser or the 501st.
—Phoenix, over here. You're right on time. — Qui-Gon called me with his hand and signaled me a spot right besides Obi-Wan.
—She wouldn't miss it for the world. —He mocked me and I squinted my eyes at him.
After several minutes had passed and we were just staring at the sky, I asked Qui-Gon.—So when are they coming in again?
—They were supo- Oh, here they are!
An enormous ship cut from the peaceful, blue sky of the city and landed on our port. The boarding door opened up and a cloud of smoke came out of the ship, the clones marching down in two single lines.
From the bottom of the line, with his signature black robes and almost-too-perfectly messed up hair, with a sly smirk and sparkling eyes, emerged one Anakin Skywalker. To my eyes he was moving in slow motion; every step he took closer to me made my heart skip a beat. On his walk down, he tilted his head to the clones of the 212th, the 600th (Qui-Gon's platoon) and the troopers from the 399th.
He reached the end of the aisle, the one where Obi-Wan, our master and I were: He stopped to give Qui-Gon a bow first, who greeted him warmly, telling Anakin how happy he was that the troop came back safe and sound. Anakin then stretched out his hand to give Obi-Wan a hand shake that ended up in a hug, with the former giving a few back pats on the back to the latter. The pair joked before separating, Anakin telling Obi that his beard was longer than last time.
And then he looked at me. And the galaxy stopped to allow us to savor in the moment of our encounter.
Anakin stared at me like I was the only thing in the world before briefly smiling. Every anxious memory from the past days vanished away the moment he beamed directly at me; For a few seconds, the most marvelous seconds, it was only him and I.
—Phoenix. —He bowed slightly.
—Anakin. —I tilted my head as well, my voice coming out lower than I intended to. I put my hand in between us and he took it, squeezing it gently with his thumb softly caressing my skin.
Literal shivers exploded the second our fingertips touched, resembling the feeling of lighting running through our hold. It was wild how even though we were in a room full of people, I couldn't care less about the pair of eyes fixed in our interaction.
—Missing me? —He laughed, my cheeks tainting a light red.
A sneeze from a trooper in the distance reminded me where we were.
—Missing you? Were you out? I' ve barely noticed you were gone. —I scoffed, rolling my eyes. —You should be grateful I'm even here.
—I am grateful you're here. —He stated, gaining a widened-eyed look from everyone, even from me. —It means you're not out there messing everything up. — I tried to glare at him, but I ended up laughing and shaking my head.
—Jerk.
—It's nice to see you too, princess. —He winked at me and turned to speak with Qui-Gon.
—Son, what do you say if we go to my office for the mission report- Oh, wait. — Commander Wolf interrupted Qui-Gon to tell him that he had some senators on the line. —Is it urgent? Yes? Okay, I will go and find you later when I'm finished. We need to talk about the message you intercepted.—Qui-Gon announced to Anakin before marching down at a fast to his office.
The troopers were unloading the ships around us and Obi-Wan took the opportunity to run some things by Captain Rex, leaving Anakin and I alone. There was certain tension to see who would talk first; would we go back to our old ways? Or the sentimentality of our previous encounters would be found in person as well?
—A heads-up would have been nice. —I was the first to break the ice, talking with raised eyebrows and crossing my arms. Creating barriers already? That was fast.
—I didn't even know about it until this morning. I would have said something but my commlink died, sweetheart. —He took it out and it had the icon of a low battery.
—I see... —Nodding slowly, I begged my body not to melt into a puddle when I heard the nickname live. Anakin stared at my blushed cheeks, embellished by my embarrassment.
—Why? Were you expecting me?. —He got close and put a string of hair behind my ear, his fingers grazing my jaw gently. He got closer to me, his breath hitting me directly. For a second I panicked, thinking he was going to kiss me out in the open. —I missed you too, sweetheart.
Uneasy breathing, burning skin and dry mouth; vulnerability was consuming me. I, undoubtedly, deeply, missed... the safeness of being behind a screen. This was more susceptibility that I could handle and my heart was already beating fast enough from his little strut down the ramp.
—It was mostly because of R2. He was driving me nuts asking about you.—I huffed, pretending I didn't care.
Why couldn't I say it?
Why couldn't I admit it as effortlessly as him?
The only thing I've been talking to myself for weeks was how much I dreaded his absence. And here I was, in the perfect moment to say something, to someone who would really care about those words, and... it just wouldn't come out.
—Oh, really? That's a shame. I liked to picture you impatiently waiting for me on my way here. —He smirked, towering me. Immediately I blushed and stepped back, not able to handle all of the emotion pouring out of me.
—Me? Impatient? —A huff dropped from my lips and Anakin nodded cockily, raising his right eyebrow with smugness. —You're thinking too much of yourself, I even forgot you were coming at all for a few hours. — Okay, shields up or he's gonna sense that you are lying.
I gulped when Anakin fixated his beautiful blue eyes for more time than necessary, carefully examining every inch of my uptight face, like he was looking for something, but I didn't know what. Finally, he let out a chuckle.
—You did? Seriously? —He frowned and twitched his mouth, looking around to check if anyone was seeing us before coming up to me and whispering in my ear. —Then why did you wear my favorite suit? — He said with his velvety voice as he sucked on my earlobe; to which I felt my clit throbbing. He pulled away, scanning me up and down before licking his lips.
At that precise moment, that singular and vital moment, my legs decided to fail and started to shake, almost imperceptibly to my luck. But I was aware, very aware of the betrayal of my body, the displays of weakness of it. I cleared my throat and blinked quickly a couple of times, trying to regain my posture.
Fuck, I was getting wet and loosing ground at a rapid pace.
Pulling the very last piece of strength out of me, I dared myself to gaze at his eyes instead of his Adam's apple; Anakin was staring down my tight cleavage, specially at the skin popping out of the leather-ish material.
Hell, I should have been smarter. If I was weak on my knees, I couldn't even imagine how Anakin's pants situation was.
—Oh, that's nothing. — With a new found sense of confidence, I walked up to him and pretended that I was fixing up his leather armor, but I actually used it to pull him to me. Inches from his chin, I whispered back with a glint on my irises. —You should see my underwear. —And I smirked back, stroking his chest and abs with my hands slowly moving down, my nails momentarily grazing his nipples.
—Sweetheart-
—General Skywalker! The team and I were hoping to do a recount of the resources used and- —Fives appeared behind Anakin's back. — Oh, hi General Phoenix! So nice to see you again! It has been forever! —He spoke so fast the last words could easily pass as mumbles.
—Hello, Fives. —I greeted, without breaking eye contact with Anakin, my nails scratching his toned torso. —It looks like you're needed, General. —I whispered, lowering my hand subitly to graze the waistband of his pants.
—I'm coming in a second. —Anakin stated firmly without looking back at Fives (who was still rambling on and on about all of the reasons why they needed Anakin to go stat), too busy undressing me with his gaze.
—I better get going, you have your hands full. — After I grinned innocently, I took a step back, pulling his belt slightly.
—Don't you dare- —He looked down on me with threatening brows, shaking his head with menace.
—I can't promise I won't start without you. —I breathed out, biting my lips into a cheeky smile. —It has been three months... I'm rather impatient. —I emphasized the last word, earning a glare from Anakin's yellow eyes. — Tick, tock, General or I'm taking your shirt with me. —That was my last whisper before chuckling and heading out.
The last thing I heard was Anakin harshly yelling at the troopers to hurry up and finish up fast. Needless to say, he was cranky.
On my way to the chambers area, Obi-Wan joined me, glancing at me with a peculiar humor in his eyes.
— Why the rush? —Obi-Wan asked, picking up his pace to match mine.
— Oh, shut up. —I rolled my eyes laughing.
—You should stay close, or else a handmaid is gonna beat you to it. —He shrugged his shoulders, both of us parting ways at the intersection between the chambers area and the path to the kitchen.
—Screw you, old man! Hope your viagra runs out. —I flipped him off, at this point I was already running.
—Get fucked! —He screamed before heading left.
—Currently trying to!
