One more month went by, two more months to go. One more case wrapped today and we got back to Quantico in the morning. But now it's 10 pm and I'm still in the office with so many things to do. The bullpen is completely empty.

"What happened with Emily?" he wonders
"She has a scheduled vacation this and the next week. But the latest case came in two days ago and by the time we got back, she was barely catching her flight. I offered to do her paperwork so she could go. She deserves that vacation" I explain
"You deserve vacation too. You're too good for them" he says
"No, you're too good to them and now I'm just paying the price. At least I've put everyone doing their own tactical arrest plan reports from now on. You're welcome" I inform him
"You did? Why?"
"Detention... And because you're doing too much for what you are getting paid for, love"
He chuckles. "Do you think you'll be done in an hour or two maybe?" he asks
"Oh no. There is no way"
"Can you take a break?"
"Taking a break will just delay me. I told you, I can talk and write. You don't have to hung up"

"Shut up" I say as I jump out of my chair and I run out of the office.
I see him coming up the stairs and I freeze.

He walks past his office and towards me. "Why didn't you tell me?" I ask
"It was last minute. Surprise" he answers.

"For how long are you staying?" I ask as we pull away

"After the attack last month and some other events, they decided to shut down the operation" he explains
"Other events?" I ask
"It doesn't matter now" he replies as he rubs my cheek. His eyes fall to my neck and he smiles even more as he notices me wearing the necklace he got me.
"Ok, here is what we're going to do because you'll definitely get me distracted" I say as I look at him and that beard
"You will go home and I'll join you when I finish with all of that" I point at my desk
"Or..." he leans down and kisses my neck "...you could take the files and come with me" he kisses my neck again
"Will you let me finish them?" I ask
"I will. I mean, the sooner I make you finish, I'll let you finish them too" he says between kissing my neck
"Ok, give me a minute to get my things". I return to the office and he follows me. I gather all the files I need as Aaron helps by putting together my briefcase.
He takes the files from me and carries them along with my briefcase. "Ready, boss?" he asks
"Yeah" I answer and I kiss him.
When we got to his place, I sent him for a shower with the order to not shave his beard, while I sat down in his desk to continue my paperwork.
