"Calli?!" Dean had driven to an empty field and was sitting on the hood of the Impala. "Calli?! It's safe now!"

"Why would they make a test you must urinate on?!" Calliope appeared behind the car.

He turned. "I don't know."

"Urinating is already so difficult." She grumbled as she went to sit beside him.

"Difficult?" He frowned slightly.

"I feel flushed and hunted whenever I do." She frowned fiercely.

"I think you feel embarrassed."

"Oh. Well I do not like that feeling. Make it go away."

He smirked. "How?"

"I do not know. You do not know how?"

"Nope. Wish I did. But nope."

"That is not the fair."

"You sound like Adam."

"Our bodies are the same age."

"Are you trying to make me jealous?"

"Jealous?" She cocked her head.

His lips moved before he spoke. "I think we gotta talk."

"Aren't we?"

He laughed. "I'm serious."

"As am I."

"I mean we have to talk about us."

"I'm feeling that embarrassed feeling again."

"Yeah. Me too." He peered at her seriously. "How do you feel about me?"

"I love you."

His olive eyes widened.

"I love all humans."

His heart plummeted. "Oh."

She took in his crestfallen features. "Did I say something wrong again?"

"No." He cleared his throat. "You feel how you feel."

"Isn't it a good thing?"

"Yeah." He shook his head and looked away. "It's fine."

"I feel as though I've hurt you. Is it because you hate me and don't want my love?"

He snapped his gaze in her direction. "What?! I don't hate you!"

"I am an angel and you have said that we are douchebags. I do not know what that is but it sounds negative."

"You're not like them. They dick around with people's lives. You're not like that."

She mostly understood that. "I don't understand. So you do not hate me?"

"No." He made her make eye contact so she'd know.

"But what about when I first came? You were not happy with me."

"I thought you might be like every other angel I knew (not Cas though). I didn't know how amazing you were."

She frowned lightly. "Amazing?"

"Calli,-" He shoved his big hand in her tight curls and brought her forward. "You are truly amazing."

That sounded like a compliment so her eyes sparkled like citrine.

He leaned in to kiss her when something flung him away.

"Dean?!" Calliope yelled before looking for the threat.

A young man stood in front of her several feet. "Mrs. Winchester. Nice to see you again."

Calliope was no idiot. "Muriel."

"I see she made it to this time period." The young demon smirked.

"You hurt my daughter." Calliope felt rage fill her.

"I am sorry about that. She was collateral damage." He had his hands in his pockets.

"Collateral damage?!" She knew what that meant and her eyes burned hotly as she grew angrier.

"Yeah. No hard feelings." He smirked.

A shot rang out, piercing his shoulder.

He looked shocked for a second.

Dean checked his gun to make sure he had enough rounds. "You're the damn snot that hurt my daughter. And you're going to say no hard feelings?"

"Ah." Muriel dug the bullet from his shoulder. "You still have that temper."

"It's not goin nowhere." Dean promised.

Muriel smirked before disappearing.

Calliope stood, looking around the field for him but he was gone. "What do we do now?"

¥

Sam looked up when Dean and Calliope came in. "Where have you two been?"

"We saw him!" Calliope was still whipped up.

"Saw who?"

"Muriel." Dean sneered, whipped up himself. "Little shit!"

"Dean!" Missouri yelled.

"Why is it just me?!"

Sam waved a hand as he shot up. "You saw that demon?!"

"Yes!" Calliope paced. "He was very unappealing! No manners whatsoever!"

Sam almost laughed at her upset features. This demon had gotten under her skin. "Did you kill him?"

"Dean missed."

"I didn't miss!" Dean was appalled.

"He is still alive!"

"It was a warning shot!"

"What was the warning, Dean?"

Dean looked at Sam. "I'm gonna kill that punk."

"How?" Sam questioned. "How powerful was he?"

"The bullet didn't do anything." Dean hated that. "He just dug the ball out."

Adam walked in. "Hey? You're back."

"Not for long." Dean swore. "We're going to find that snake and dead him."

"How?" Sam repeated. "He seems stronger than a regular demon. We should do some research. Find out who this kid is."

Meg and Margot snuck in.

Castiel just walked in. "Kid?"

"Dean and Calliope ran into this Muriel. Dean shot him but it didn't even faze him." Sam explained.

Castiel frowned. "Not even a little?"

"No." Dean paced with his hands on his hips.

"I could go downstairs." Meg offered. "See if anyone knows him."

"No." Everyone said.

Calliope went on, "I promised to keep you safe. You can't go to Crowley's domain without protection. I could go with-"

"Nope!" Dean shook his head as he still paced.

"Oh no." Castiel, Sam and Adam prepared themselves for her tantrum.

"I can protect myself!" Calliope yelled.

"You just got back from purgatory!" Dean yelled back. "No!"

"You're not my father!"

"You didn't listen to Him either!"

"Wrong move, big bro." Adam hissed.

"So wrong." Sam hid.

Calliope screamed.

Dean frowned. "You're just like a little kid! You don't get your way so you scream!"

She stopped screaming but moved forward.

Dean moved but she went to Meg and disappeared with her. "Why? Why is she like this?!"

Crying was heard.

"Missouri?! Can you check on Di?! I've got to drag her mother from hell!"

¥

"No." Dean couldn't believe he had to tell his seventeen year old daughter she couldn't go to hell.

"But, Daddy-!"

"No buts, Di."

Teenaged Dianna screamed. "That's not fair!"

He looked at her like she was crazy. "You're just like her."

Dianna unclenched her fists. "I'm like Mom?"

"Yeah."

She beamed accidentally.

"Just like her." He smiled.

"And you like that?"

He frowned and cocked his head. "What?"

"You like that. That I'm like Mom?"

"Oh." His face cleared. "Yeah." He continued packing weapons.

"So that means you like Mom? Right?"

He realized exactly what she was asking. "Who told you to ask that?"

"Daddy,-!" She groaned.

"Was it your Uncle Benny?!"

"Daddy, you're so commitmentphobic!"

Now he knew it had to come from Benny. "I'm killing that vampire..."

"You're where DJ gets it!"

"Gets what?!"

"He never stays with one girl long enough to say anything about!"

"He's fifteen!"

"I knew I loved Muriel at first sight."

"Look where that got you." He deadpanned.

She flinched.

"I'm sorry." He opened his arms.

She rushed into them.

"I'm going to kill him. I promise."

She giggled. "Okay, Daddy. Can I go with you?"

"No."

¥

Dean, Sam and Adam went through the portal to hell. So far, so good. It was just as drab and dark as before but with a stronger stench of misery in the air.

"I hate this place." Dean muttered, upset because his daughter was upset with him for leaving her behind.

"Ditto." Sam sneered.

Adam was having déjà vu. "I'm with ya."

"Let's find the girls and get the hell out of hell." Dean suggested.

His brothers nodded. "Let's!"

¥

It took a lot of searching before the guys decided to ask around anyway. They were there after all.

"Muriel?" A demon laughed. "Yeah, I know the kid. Real new but he's got "plans"."

"What sort of plans?" Sam asked.

"He claims he's got a twenty year plan to run this place."

"Yeah right." Dean sneered.

The demon laughed. "That's what I say. But hey, I gotta go. Break's over, ya know?"

"Keep 'em screamin." Dean nodded.

The demon snickered wickedly as he walked off.

Sam and Adam stared at Dean.

"What?" The eldest brother shrugged.

"I forget you spent 40 years down here." Sam sometimes wondered about his big brother.

"Shut up." Dean scoffed. "We gotta find somebody who's seen Calli and Meg."

"Is she here?" Crowley's voice sounded frightened, it frightening the guys, who hadn't heard his approach.

"I'm going to kill you." Dean hated being afraid with a passion.

Crowley waved that away. "Why are you down here?"

"Looking for Calliope." Sam braced himself for whatever Crowley might attempt.

"And Meg." Crowley raised a brow.

"You don't need her." Dean spat.

Crowley shrugged. "Where's that crazy angel?"

"Don't call her names!" Adam was heated.

Crowley was seriously confused. "I thought she was with Squirrel, Weasel?"

"Weasel?!"

"Let it go." Sam advised.

"If she's not down here, we'll leave." Dean rolled his eyes.

"Ah!" Crowley raised a finger. "I felt a disturbance. Something's happened topside. What'd you do?"

"Why does everybody blame me?!"

"It was your fault." Adam pointed out.

Sam stopped them from fighting. "You should watch your back, Crowley. You have snakes in your midst."

"Of course. I surround myself with the best- You mean that in a terrible way, don't you?" Crowley growled. "Who is it? Which demon is trying to take my throne?!"

"Muriel." Dean crossed his arms.

"Muriel?!" Crowley laughed heartily.

"He's young and thirsty for the chance to take you down."

"Muriel's male?!"

"Yuck it up." Sam snapped. "But he's bad news for all of us."

Crowley stopped laughing. "How?"

"He's come from the future where he overthrows you."

Crowley gasped southern grandma style. "Oh no! This will not do!"

"Funny." Dean shifted. "Good luck dry rotting. We've an angel to find. Come on, guys."

"Wait, wait, wait!" Crowley held out a hand. "How far into the future?"

"Does it matter?! You're going to lose the position you slithered into!"

"Okay! Okay! How can I help?" It stuck in his craw but Crowley loved the power he wielded and would not give it up without a fight.

Dean smirked. "Glad you asked."

¥

Dean, Sam and Adam returned to the bunker.

Margot looked up. "They've been back for ten minutes."

Dean grunted, mad as a wet hen. "Thanks."

"Wait. I know you're mad but it worked. They found Muriel's bones-"

"What?! How?!" The trio came alive.

"The real Muriel. They're hoping I can scry for his demon essence and we can find him before he attacks us. So far, nothing."

Dean digested that. "Thanks, Margot."

"You're welcome."

Adam went to his room to gather shower equipment and Dean went to see where Calliope was. Sam went to Margot. "Having a fun night?"

Margot smirked.

¥

Dean found Calliope in the nursery. Day was breaking but she was singing to both Diannas, who were asleep again. He stood in the doorway, watching.

Her singing tampered off and she hummed lightly before looking at him. "I am sorry for screaming."

"And disappearing?" He put his hands in his pockets.

"Yes."

"You know I just want you safe."

"Why?"

He double blinked. "Because."

"Because why?"

"Because-" He growled in frustration. "I take care of my family."

"I am your family?" Her toffee eyes grew.

"Yeah. You're family, Calli."

She smiled softly.

He held his hand out.

She stood up and went to take it. "Are we going to make love?"

"Yeah."

She grew excited and pulled him to their room.

¥

"Hey, Margot." Dean strolled into the living areas later that day. "Did you stay up all night?"

"Yes." She shoved her long hair back from her face. "But I think I can pinpoint where the demon Muriel is."

Dean changed direction from the kitchen to the table she was sitting at. "Where is he?"

"That's the problem though. He never stays anywhere long enough to do anything about but the good news is he keeps returning to a specific place."

"Where?"

¥

"Why does Muriel go to Kenova, West Virginia?" Dean sat teenaged Dianna down for a talk.

She blushed.

"Di? What aren't you telling us?"

Dianna swallowed but remained quiet.

Calliope, who was sitting next to her, took her hand. "You can tell us anything."

"Not this."

"Why not?" Dean had a sinking feeling.

Dianna bowed her head. "He was my first."

"Demon you brought home?" Dean played dumb.

Calliope sighed heavily. "Dean, be serious."

Dean shot up to pace. "I don't want to hear this!"

"You never want to hear me." Dianna cried lowly.

Dean was knocked back by the accusation. "What? Of course I do."

"Ever since I started seeing Muriel, it's like I've stopped existing for you!"

"That can't be true."

"It is!" She wept openly now. "You only care about DJ and how good a hunter he is!"

Dean gaped.

"You blame me for Muriel killing Mom." She whispered.

"I do?" Dean was hurt and ashamed of his future self.

Dianna nodded slowly.

Dean felt awful. He went to his daughter and sat before her again. "I am so sorry my future self is an ass. You fell in love. There's nothing wrong with that. He turned out to be a douche but you were brave enough to give your heart away. That's better than me. I'm scared of your mother."

Calliope gasped. "I frighten you?!"

"Yeah." Dean finally admitted.

Calliope felt terrible. "I am sorry. I did this. I ruined the future."

"Mom, you're the best thing about this world." Dianna kept her from spiraling. "You see things the way no one else does. You may be scared of something but you try it anyway. You're so brave. I always wanted to be just like you."

"You are better."

Dean smiled at both smiling at each other. "Looks like we're going to West Virginia."
