Last night, Ash was asked by Professor Oak, To head to Route 25 where they need to help a Pokemon Fanatic, Bill, The same guy that developed the Storage System.
But first they must walk to a beautiful golden
bridge called the Golden Ball Bridge or what most people called, The Nugget Bridge.
Ash told his friends that there heading on Route 25 and the request from the Professor.
Misty recognizes about Route 25 where at the east side is called the Cerulean Cape, She comments where is good spot to have a date there and she loves watching the sunset whenever she goes there time to time
(Author's note: I have to look up Bulbapedia that Misty looks up at the sunset at the east but it usually set on the west)
All three agree and began heading to the infamous Nugget Bridge, But before he step foot, A brown hair boy runs in a state of panic like he seen something
"Eyaaarrgghh!" He screamed
"What the-"
THUD!!
The boy accidentally knocks Ash as he stumbles and looses his balance, Both trainers fell there butts on the ground.
"Ash are you alright?" Said Misty
"Yeah I'm alright!"
Turning to the boy that bumped into him, He recognize that familiar brown hair which is Trace, The last person in that day to get a starter which he remembered is Eevee.
"Um hey, You okay dude?" He offers his hand to get him up
"Y-yeah I'm alright thanks" He grabs the hand from Ash and stands up also dusting off his clothes
"Hey I know who you are!, You're Ash right?"
"Yes, I'm Ash"
"Then I challenge you to battle!" Trace declared
"..."
"Eh!?

After the sudden declaration of Trace wanting for a Pokeball, They decided to take the back of the Pokemon Center with a battle arena for them. Brock tells them that he will be referee
for the battle.
"Ash I've heard alot of things about you"
"Like what?"
"From Professor Oak, I've heared you got stronger with your Pokemon and got two badges now"
"Uhuh yep"
"Well I wanna to see how strong you are just like the Professor said, Were going 3 vs 3, sounds good"
Ash nodded from the conditions of the battle
"Yeah I'm in"
"The battle between Ash and Trace will now begin, Both sides send your Pokemon"
Trace smirks ready to battle his rival "I'll start, Let's go Pidgeotto!"
Out of the Pokeball, An eagle like bird but unlike the small Pidgey, This one is bigger including his feathers and has some red like design on it including his long red comb.
"Pidgeo!" It cawed
"Oh a Pidgeotto"
Cue the Pokedex check...
[Pidgeotto, The Bird Pokemon, An evolved form of Pidgey, A Normal And Flying Type, This Pokemon is full of vitality, It constantly flies around its large territory in search of prey. Abilities are Keen Eye or Tangled Feet and Hidden Ability Big Pecks]
"Alright my turn, Spearow!"
He sent his other Flying type to the field
"Spearoooww!!"
"Now let the Pokemon battle...BEGIN!"
"Alright let's start off with a first hit, Quick Attack"
"Pidgeo!" The Pidgeotto blurred out of sight zooms in at the Spearow
"Spearow, Aerial Ace"
"Spear!" The Spearow flies down engulfed with
streaks of white light
Both collide with both Pokemon taking damage
"Pidgeo!"
"Spear!"
"Gah! Well in that case Gust!"
"Pidgeo!" The Bird Pokemon flaps its wings creating strong wing currents tot he Spearow
"Spear" The Spearow grunted struggling not to be blown out of the way
"Whirlwind!"
Spearow using her Egg Move, She creates wind winds from her wings to dispel the Gust attack
"Now give em a Wing Attack"
The Pidgeotto appears infront of the Spearow catching her off guard
"Spearow!?"
"Pidgeo!!!"
The Pidgeotto began to smack the Spearow repeatedly with its wings
"Dodge then Fury Attack"
The Spearow dodge the incoming Wing Attack giving her chance to react by using her beak and talons to skilfully block from the Attack.
"Spearow Headbutt!"
"Spear row!"
The bird Pokemon uses her head to slam the Pidgeotto down to the ground
"Aerial Ace!"
"Speeeaaarrrr" The Spearow flies down ready to hit the Pidgeotto like a jet plane
"Pidgeotto Gust quick" Trace yelled desperately
The Pidgeotto muster its last strength to use Gust, It manage to hit Spearow but it the Tiny Bird collided the attack causing an explosion
"Pidgeotto!"
"Spearow!"
Yelled both trainers of there respective Pokemon
As the dust dies down it revealed both Pokemon fainted in a single spot
"Both Pokemon are unable to battle meaning it's a draw!" announced Brock signaling both his arms in both sides
Both Ash and Trace returned to there Pokemon back to rest
"Professor wasn't kidding, You are strong"
Trace commented
"Thanks?"
"Now for my next Pokemon, Oddish"
Trace sent his next Pokemon, a plant with grass weed on-top and standing only 2 feet , It appears as a mandrake
[Oddish, The Weed Pokemon, A Grass and Poison Type, It may be mistaken for a clump of weeds. If you try to yank it out of the ground, it shrieks horribly.
Abilities are Chlorophyll and its Hidden Ability, Run Away]
"Well it's guess my turn, I choose Nidorina"
He sent his bidepal blue hyraxe which she ready her battle stance the moment she enters the battle
"Nido Nido!"
"Oddish use Razor Leaf!" "Nidorina Heabutt!"
"Ooddiisshh!" The Weed Pokemon swings its leaf hair sending sharp leaves to the Nidorina.
The Poison type rushes to the Oddish like rampaging Tauros ignoring the leaves to the Nidorina while she deals damage as she collide the attack
"Oddish!" Said the weed pokemon as it was sent up in the air from the impact of the Headbutt
"Oddish hang on! Use Sleep Powder"
Oddish releases green dust powder that it lands on the Nidorina
"Nido..."said the Pokemon feeling drowsy
"Nidorina don't give in to sleep, slam yourself on the floor!"
"Huh!?" Trace confused of what kind of order he tells to his Pokemon
Nidorina following her trainer's words muster all of her strength to hit herself in head
"Nido!"
It's able to stop the sleep to fully affect the Nidorina
"NIDO!!" The Nidorina roared
"No way!"
"Nidorina go for another Headback"
"Nido!" The Nidorina jumps to the Oddish and slams her head to the Pokemon
"Oddish!"
"Oddish No!"
The Oddish got knock backed to the other side
of the field and is unable to battle
"Oddish is unable to battle the winner is Nidorina"
Trace returned his Oddish back "You did well go have some rest" He picks up his next Pokeball
"Then for my next Pokemon, My starter, Eevee!"
His 3rd Pokemon, Looks like a dog and with fox like features, around the body is cover with brown fur and a light color of the mane.
"Eeve!"
"So that's an Eevee " Ash uses his Pokedex to scan the Pokemon
[Eevee, The Evolution Pokemon, A Normal Type, It can evolve into a variety of forms. Eevee's genes are the key to solving the mysteries of Pokemon evolution. Abilities are Run Away or Adaptability and Hidden Ability, Anticipation]
"Nidorina return, I pick Squirtle!"
He sends his Water type starter on the battlefield
"Squirtle!"
"So that's a Squirtle, You're lucky you got it very early, I'm jealous"
"Evui" The Eevee's ears lowered
"Oh sorry buddy, I'm happy that I have you in my team"
"Eeve!" The Eevee the forgive its trainer
"Go Squirtle you can do it!" Misty cheered on the sidelines
"Now let's get this going, Eevee use Take Down" It began surround itself of orange aura and charges in to the Squirtle
"Squirtle use Protect"
The Squirtle hold both of his hands on front and create a green force field, The Eevee's attack didn't work as it like it runs to a wall
"Eevee try Double Kick" With the Protect barrier disspaear, Eevee's back legs glowed and starts kicking on the Squirtle that he needed to
use his arms from the attack
"Squirtle go for Water Gun!"
"Squrt tleeee" The Pokemon shoots water out of its mouth
"Eevee fire Swift!"
The Eevee backflips and uses its tail to create barrage of stars to the opposing Pokemon.
Both Pokemon got hit from the attacks
"Eevee now Take Down!" Same as before it starts charging in
"Rapid Spin" The Squirtle retreated to his shell and rapidly spins to Eevee colliding eachother of the attacks
"Squirtle time to use Aura Sphere!"
"Squirtle! Squirt..." The Squirtle open its mouth forming a light blue sphere
As you remember Squirtle has egg move of Aura Sphere but does not master it so how come it's able to use right now in this battle?
Well it goes like this
Flashback before arriving at Cerulean City...
As everyone where still asleep in the morning, Ash began to open his eyes hearing something
"Squuirt...tle" Ash recognize the voice to be his Squirtle but wonders what is he doing in the morning
Moving out from his sleeping bag, He slowly walks where his Pokemon is, Eventually he find him what seems to be Squirtle attempt to use Aura Sphere. But instead of a perfected of light blue its more a small ball of a size a walnut, It didn't even hit the stone target perfectly
Squirtle pants after tries of perfecting his egg move, But still stands up determined to finally perfect the move. When he is about to do it again, Ash stops him
"Hey don't overwork yourself buddy"
"Squirtle?"
Ash sits next to him and decides to talk to his first Pokemon he ever gotten "Trying to perfect that move, Squirtle?"
"Squirtle" The Pokemon nodded
"Well I'll help you out Squirtle, Just for a sec"
"Squirtle?"
Rummaging to his magical bag, He eventually
found his portable TV device that he upgraded few features
"Aha found it, Here it is" He placed the device on the stone, The Squirtle tilted his head in confusion wondering what is it
"Squirtle?"
"Well I built this thing to watch on something in the internet and pass my time to play video games. We will watch a video that might help you to use Aura Sphere"
"Squirtle squirtle? "Are you sure?")"
"Yep we will just try and learn, simple as that"
Ash began to search tutorial video about Aura Sphere
"Now which one, Uhuh Alright found one"
They play the video for Squirtle to know Aura Sphere to learn, The video shows examples such as Lucario using the said move which are mostly known for, Other Pokemon like Togekiss and Mienshao using the move.
But the one that got his attention is a Clauncher and a Clawizter using the move out of there launcher claw. Squirtle's eyes were on the screen and learning the info into his brain.
Ash guessed that the Squirtle and its evolutin line are currently have the egg move, Aura Sphere passed down by there Clauncher or Clawitzee parent. The other option is getting the TR from the Galar region.
Once they were done with video, They began to start training to perfect Aura Sphere.
"Okay let's start, Aura Sphere!"
"Squirt...tle" The Squirtle attempt to mimic the steps from the video only to create a small orb as before
"Squirtle" The Squirtle bummed out from his move
"Don't worry Squirtle, Let's try agin but focus and don't rush it"
"Squirtle!"
"Okay again, Aura Sphere!"
"Squuuuiiirtt...tle!" The orb grows bigger this time but not enough
"Again!"
"Squirtle!" Another orb blast again
"Again!"
"Squirtle!" and another one
"Work harder Squirtle! Aura Sphere!"
"SQUIRTLE!"
Moments later, Both of them are panting there breathes but Squirtle is slowly improving it's move
"Now one last time, Aura Sphere!"
Squirtle closed his eyes focusing to build up the light blue orb from his mouth "Squuuuiirrttt..."
"Yes! Just focus and keep going, Squirtle!"
"Squuuiirrttt..." The orb grows bigger as it continues to charge it
"Squirtle now!"
"TLE!" He blast the Aura Sphere right to the rock and then
BOOOMM!!!
With a direct hit, The stone broke into a smaller pieces and no Geodude ever came out.
Both of them widen eyes from the sight and look at eachother with wide grins on there faces.
"You did it Squirtle, You really did it"
"Squirtle! Squirt Squirtle!" The Turtle cheered from his success while his trainer just chuckled to his Pokemon's victory
And that's how Squirtle learned Aura Sphere
Now back to the present...
"Eevee quick use Swift"
"Evee!" The Eevee swings its tail and sends multiple star projectiles
"...tle!" He launches the light blue orb breaking star projectiles, It passes trough and heads straight the Evolution Pokemon
"Eve!"
BOOOOMMMMM!!!
"Eevee!" Trace runs to find his starter Pokemon who is now filled with marks and sooth from the attack
"Eev......"
"Eevee is unable to battle, Squirtle wins, Victory goes to Ash!"
"Nice job Squirtle!" Ash raises his hand for a high five which Squirtle did too
"Squirtle!"
"You did very well Eevee, You deserve some rest" Trace return his Pokemon back to its Pokeball and walks up to Ash
"Wow you're strong, I'll train harder next time so I can beat you whenever we meet"
"Will see, Also why did you run in a state of panic like you've seen a ghost, Something happened?" Said Ash
"Well there's a house up ahead where this famous Pokemon fanatic is supposed to live..."
("Must be Bill then")
"I wanted to stop by, because I thought maybe I'd maybe get to see some rare Pokemon ir something."
Then Trace turns around as he continues the story
"But what I found... and don't freak out when you hear this" The air began to feel uneasy
"W-what is it? C'mon say it" Misty feeling a bit scared
"That the Pokemon fanatic Bill wasn't there...
Instead there was a Pokemon... that TALKED!"
"A Pokemon c-can t-talk!?" Misty shivered of a Pokemon actually talking like humans
"But that's impossible" said Brock
"I know right, But just thinking about gives me creeps. Just don't go there, Ash"
"Uhhh...." Ash not sure what to say
"Anyway got to go the Pokemon Center and trained up for my Gym battle, See ya!"
Trace waves goodbye to the group leaving the 3 have second thoughts in getting there
"We aren't gonna go there right, Ash?" Said Misty nervously
"Unfortunately..."

Route 24, Kanto
They continue on traveling to where Bill as they are now at the infamous Nugget Bridge
"So this is the Nugget Bridge that they have been talking about, It sure does look pretty" commented Brock
"I've heard this bridge was made by the rare gold nuggets that the miners found years ago.
It's amazing they made this bridge pretty" said Misty
("Hm wonder what I could get for dinner") Said Ash lost it thought until it stops in his tracks
"Hey Ash why we stop?" Misty questions
Ash pointed his index finger to the group of 5 trainers blocking the path
"Um hey can you let us pass?" saids Brock
"Nah we don't wanna" the bug catcher said
"Then why not?"
"If you want to pass through us, You must beat all 5 of us then we will let you" the camper said
Ash just groan and picks all of his Pokeballs and muttered "Let's just get this over with"
After Ash beat all of the 5 trainers like for examples has a whole team non evolved bugs, Pair of Nidorans and etc., They finally reached and meet up this guy congratulating them
"Congratulations! You beat our five Trainers!"
("Something about him makes feel off")
"You just earned a fabulous prize!" The mysterious trainer gives Ash a box which has the golden Nugget.
"By the way, kid, how would you like to join Team Rocket?"
"Hell no, Like I would join you!" Said Ash
"Like we would join in your evil organization" said Misty
"Heh that's right!" Does a little spin and now reveals the guy with his Rocket Grunt iniform
"We're a group dedicated to join evil using Pokemon. So one more chance, Wanna join"
"My answer is still no!"
"Oh c'mon really join, Really I'll male you an offer you can't refuse-"
"SHUT UP!!!"
There was small pause from Ash's outburst as for the Grunt, He do not like the answer
"Tsk, Fine then, I'll just beat you up nice and easy, Get em Zubat, Ekans and Koffing!"
He sent 3 Pokemon all at the same
"Hey that's cheating! You can't use all of it in the same time!" Misty accused to the Grunt which he does not care
"Like I care girl, Now then beat them up to pulp" as he commanded his Pokemon all of them jumps into the Pokemon Trainer
"Squirtle and Pikachu use Water Gun and Thundershock altogether" He sent 2 Pokeballs to the 3 and in right timing uses there attacks
"Squirtle!"
"Piikaa...chuu!!!"
With the moves combined it gives the Grunt's Pokemon massive damage with water and electricity combined together, It's enough KO all of them
The Grunts stumbled back in fear like he sees the menacing aura from the boy as he looked down upon him
"H-hey, With you skills you could become a to leader in Team Rocket! Think of the opportunity! You shouldn't let a chance a chance like this pass you by-" Only to be stopped by Ash as he look at him dead straight
"You better leave or else these two will do to you the same way as your Pokemon"
It's enough for the Grunt to return his Pokemon and flees out of fear
"Weaaaahhhh, I won't forget this!!"
Misty and Brock smiled to there friend who stood up against the Grunt
"You beat him well"
"Yeah you show em who's boss!"
Ash smiled from his friends phraise
"Heh thanks but let's head back on the road, Bill is waiting for us"
And so they are off to meet Bill in next route ahead...
