Hello again! I've returned at last to bring you the next chapter of the Alola Crisis arc! As I said in the last chapter, this chapter will be taking place at the same time as part II. Well I don't have much left to say for now, so enjoy the chapter.
Pikachu and Sylveon scanned the new area they were now in.
"What was that just now?" Sylveon asked.
"Your guess is as good as mine" Pikachu answered.
That's when they noticed dark clouds starting to cover the sky.
"I don't like this...we should find a way back to Serena and Ash" Sylveon said.
Pikachu nodded. "I agree, but how are gonna do that? We're on different islands now."
"O-Oh...right..." Sylveon said with a sweatdrop.
Pikachu sighed. 'There's gotta be a way back...' he thought.
Pikachu then felt something overtake him. He used Quick Attack to shove Sylveon out of the way before a Water Pulse hit them. The two looked back and saw a Swampert sneering at them. The two scowled as they faced their new opponent.
"Where do you think you're going?" A voice said.
Pikachu recognized the voice. He turned and saw Misty standing behind Swampert. Pikachu growled and let out sparks from his cheeks.
"Oh come on Pikachu, are you really going to attack me? After everything we've been through?"
"Ash is far more important to me than you! Anyone who harms him is an enemy in my eyes!" Pikachu growled.
Misty didn't understand what he said but guessed it had something to do with Ash.
"It's always about Ash isn't it! That idiot didn't ever care about my feelings! What does that bitch Serena even see in him??"
Upon hearing her name, Sylveon immediately grew angry.
"What did you just call my precious trainer?!" She growled.
Misty scoffed. "What's with you? You look like the ugliest Eeveelution I've seen, makes sense why you're her Pokemon."
This struck a huge nerve for Pikachu. He shot out a Thunderbolt towards Misty. Before it could make contact, Swampert got in front of her and took the hit. However due to being part Ground type the attack had no effect.
Sylveon fired a Moonblast next, which struck Swampert. It started to fall backwards but regained its footing.
"So that's how you want to play it..." Misty said. She took out another Poke Ball and threw it into the air. In a flash a Dewgong appeared. "Use Ice Beam on Sylveon!"
Dewgong shot an Ice Beam right towards Sylveon. Pikachu acted fast and slammed his Iron powered tail into the ground, causing the Ice Beam to hit a wall of sand instead. This gave Sylveon an idea.
"Swampert, use Water Pulse on Pikachu!"
Swampert fired off a Water Pulse towards Pikachu. Said Pokemon spun his tail and smacked it back at Swampert, who got hit.
Misty grit her teeth. "Dewgong use Aqua Tail!"
Dewgong charged forward and enveloped its tail in water. Pikachu met it head on and swung his still Iron powered tail. The two attacks met and both tried to overpower the other. Pikachu suddenly grinned. Right after that, Dewgong was hit by a piece of ice. This broke the tail lock and gave Pikachu enough time to fire off another Thunderbolt and knocking out Dewgong.
"What?! But how?!" Misty said in shock. She looked over and saw Sylveon holding another piece of ice with her feelers. Misty was growing more angry. She returned Dewgong and readied her next Pokemon.
In another flash, a Tentacruel appeared. It hovered in front of Misty.
"I'll just get rid of you first! Tentacruel use Poison Jab on Sylveon!"
Tentacruel charged forward. It powered up its tentacles and started to jab them out.
Sylveon's eyes narrowed. Something inside her must have awakened, cause she proceeded to dodge all of the Poison Jab attacks with ease. Pikachu watched in awe at seeing her dodge.
Something suddenly took over him, as he sensed Swampert was charging at him with an Ice Punch.
"Your fight is with me yellow!" Swampert said.
Pikachu scowled again. He jumped in the air just before the Ice Punch hit him. "Fine with me..." He powered up an Iron Tail and enhanced its strength with Quick Attack. He struck Swampert, causing a smoke cloud to erupt.
The two separated from opposite sides as they slid across the sand. Pikachu grunted.
'Dammit! I'm getting nowhere with this. I need to help Sylveon somehow, I could easily handle Tentacruel, plus she can use—' Pikachu's eyes widened. 'That's it!'
Pikachu and Sylveon glanced at each other. They both nodded.
Swampert charged in again. "I've got you now!"
Pikachu dug his tail into the sand and flung as much as he could into Swampert's eyes. The Water/Ground cried out in pain as it covered it's eyes. Pikachu then used Quick Attack and launched Swampert backwards. After that he rushed back towards Sylveon.
Tentacruel kept jabbing away but Sylveon kept dodging. Before it could continue, it was zapped by Pikachu's Thunderbolt. Tentacruel started to waver. Sylveon responded by producing a Psyshock attack, Pikachu adding an Electro Ball for good measure. After a small smoke cloud Tentacruel was on the ground motionless. The two high pawed each other. Misty returned Tentacruel.
By this point Swampert managed to get the sand out of its eyes. However when it opened them, a Moonblast appeared right in front of it. It hit Swampert and after a small smoke cloud Swampert was on the ground motionless. Misty returned Swampert as well.
"Give up Misty! You can't win against us!" Pikachu shouted.
Misty reached for two Poke Balls and sent them out. In a flash, a Simipour and a Floatzel appeared.
"I'm not finished yet Pikachu!" Misty shouted in anger.
Sylveon stepped forward. "Good! Cause neither are we!"
"Yeah!" Pikachu said.
The two suddenly sensed something again. They jumped out of the way just before a Shadow Ball hit them. They turned to see three more figures a little bit away. As they came into view, Pikachu and Sylveon scowled again.
"Great..." Sylveon muttered.
"Why now..." Pikachu said.
"Well well, if it isn't Pikachu and his little girlfriend" Jessie said.
"We've got ya cornered now, so just surrenda" Meowth said.
"Piss off!" Pikachu countered.
"I've got things under control here, just leave them to me" Misty said.
"Please, a twerpette like you can't handle them, only we can do this and bring them to the boss" Jessie said as she waved her hand.
Misty grew annoyed. "Remind me again how many times I beat you when we were enemies?"
Jessie grew angry. "We weren't as strong back then! But now the boss believes in our skills and we'll do whatever he wants!"
"Whatever, just don't get in my way" Misty said with her arms crossed.
The two got ready again.
"Gourgeist use Shadow Ball!"
"Simipour Water Gun! Floatzel Water Pulse!"
The enemy Pokemon fired off their attacks. Sylveon acted fast by producing a Fairy Wind to block. She and Pikachu were facing opposite directions.
"Just another day isn't it babe" Sylveon joked.
Pikachu chuckled. "I guess you could say that."
Pikachu fired off another Thunderbolt aimed at Simipour, who jumped out of the way. Sylveon fired a Moonblast at Gourgeist, who blocked with a Shadow Ball.
The two were starting to get tired.
"Dammit! There's no end to this!" Sylveon said.
Pikachu was breathing heavily. He knew Sylveon was right. 'If only we had some back up, then we might beat them faster!'
Jessie laughed. "Are you realizing it now? You can't beat us now! After all these years we'll finally beat you!"
"And den the boss will make me top cat for sure!" Meowth said.
Pikachu grunted. 'Ugh, that again? He's got a one track—' Pikachu's eyes suddenly widened. 'Wait a minute, that's it!'
He secretly nudged Sylveon. She turned to him and saw him mouthed "follow my lead."
Pikachu turned to face Meowth and smirked.
"Do you honestly think that'll ever happen?"
Meowth looked at him with surprise. "What'd you say?"
"Think about it. If he ever wanted you as his top cat don't you think he would've done it by now? I mean, you can speak human language, surely that alone would get you that spot, but it didn't, and you know why? Cause you're an idiot. Every plan you've concocted to try to capture me has failed. Your boss wants to have a competent Pokemon at his side, one that can live up to his expectations, and that definitely isn't you, never has been, never will be."
Meowth was fuming at his speech. "Have a taste of my Furry Swipes you yellow rodent!"
Meowth ran towards Pikachu with his claws out. He was so focused on Pikachu, he failed to notice Sylveon extending her feelers. Meowth tripped and face planted onto the sand. When he slowly raised his head up he saw Pikachu swinging his Iron powered tail right into his face. This launched him backwards and right into Jessie. Misty couldn't help but let out a quiet chuckle. She recomposed herself and attacked again.
"Floatzel use Aqua Jet on Sylveon!"
Floatzel enveloped itself in water and flew right towards Sylveon.
"Sylveon look out!" Pikachu cried out.
Instead of feeling scared, Sylveon felt a huge burst of determination overtake her. She charged towards it, and with all her strength, she performed a spin dash just like Pikachu.
She dodged the attack and thanks to that, Floatzel crashed into Gourgeist as a result. Pikachu watched in shock as Sylveon landed on her feet without a scratch on her.
Sylveon stared down the others. "Come at me!"
Pikachu kept watching in amazement. "Sylveon..." Pikachu's expression then changed into a determined one. He charged up a Quick Attack and slammed into Simipour, who wasn't paying attention.
The two shot glances at each. They nodded and rejoined the other. They jumped up. Sylveon wrapped one of her feelers around Pikachu's hand. They charged up a combo attack. Sylveon formed a Moonblast while Pikachu shared some electricity.
"Take this! Electro Moonblast!!" They shouted in unison.
The two shot a Moonblast with electricity enveloping it. It slammed into Simipour and Floatzel. After an explosion settled, said water types were laying motionless.
Misty returned her Pokemon. She started to stomp on the ground, like a spoiled brat not getting their way.
"Dammit! Dammit! This isn't how it was supposed to turn out!"
"Get a grip" Jessie said nonchalantly.
"She's as loud as evah" Meowth added.
Misty heard them and looked at them with anger. "And what exactly are you two doing?! I've been doing everything so far!"
"...I got hit in the head by Meowth" Jessie said.
"And she has a hard head" Meowth added.
"That explains a lot..." Misty scoffed.
"What was that twerpette?!"
Pikachu and Sylveon watched the three argue. They both sweatdropped.
"Are we...still fighting at this point?" Sylveon asked her mate.
"You're lucky you haven't known them that long..." Pikachu answered.
Misty reached for her last Poke Ball. "You may have defeated most of my Pokemon, but I'll beat you both with him."
"Him?" Sylveon said.
Misty threw her ball in the air. A flash appeared and a Gyarados appeared, a BIG one. It let out a mighty roar. Now Pikachu and Sylveon felt intimidated.
"Gyarados, time to have some fun" Misty said.
"Gourgeist, let's continue ours" Jessie said.
"I'm still ready to give ya more of my Fury Swipes" Meowth said and his claws grew again.
Pikachu and Sylveon backed up.
"Not good..." Pikachu said. He looked over and saw Sylveon shaking in fear. Pikachu scowled. He got in front of Sylveon. He took a battle stance as electricity sparked from his cheeks.
"But, I'll still protect Sylveon! Cause she's the one I love the most!!"
Sylveon's eyes widened and started to produce tears, her cheeks blushing as well.
"Always the heroic one aren't you Pikachu" Misty said.
"Guess I'll start da true beating now!" Meowth yelled as he charged forward with his claws out.
However before he made contact, he was blocked by none other than Wobbufett. Said Pokemon blew Meowth back and crashed into the ground. Gourgeist was then hit by a barrage of needles. A Mareanie landed next to Wobbufett.
Everyone turned to see James running up. He stopped when he reached Pikachu and Sylveon.
"James?! What are you doing?!" Jessie yelled in disbelief.
"...doing the right thing" was all he said.
"The right thing?! This is the right thing! We're helping the boss conquer Alola!" Jessie said.
"By killing countless people and Pokemon? Even you must realize how awful that is!" James shot back.
"Well if it's for the boss then so what!" Jessie yelled.
"So what? So what?! Jessie look around! Is this really the right thing?!"
Before they could answer, a loud explosion was heard off in the distance. Everyone looked and saw a mountain located on Ula Ula Island suddenly engulfed in flames.
"What was that...?" Sylveon said with fear.
James looked back at the three Rockets. "You still think this is the right thing to do?!"
Jessie scoffed. "They were in the way of the boss."
James finally lost it. "DO YOU EVEN HEAR YOURSELF?! DO YOU NO LONGER HAVE A SOUL?!"
"Calm down James" Meowth said calmly.
James turned to Meowth. "Meowth! Surely you can't stand to see this happen!"
"If it'll make me top cat for da boss, then I couldn't care less."
James was taken aback. They really didn't care?! Even after what just happened?!
"Enough chit chat! Are you going to stand by us James? Or will you become a filthy traitor?" Jessie asked.
James stood his ground and didn't move.
"Fine then...Wobbufett, get him" Jessie said.
Wobbufett didn't move.
"What's wrong with you you blue blob?? Attack!"
Wobbufett shook his head no. "Wobbufett..."
"What did he say Meowth?" Jessie asked.
Meowth gritted his teeth. "He said I'm staying with James from now on."
This angered Jessie. She attempted to reach for his Poke Ball but saw that it was gone. She then saw Wobbufett holding his ball up. He handed it to James.
In a moment of weakness, Jessie cried out. "Why James? Why are you going against us? Against me? After everything we've been through over the years, why are you now turning your back against us?"
James looked down. He clenched his fist in sadness. "You really don't remember...?" Tears started to fall down his face. "You really don't remember what Giovanni did before we came here...?" He looked up with a heartbroken face. "You don't remember when he killed Chimecho?!"
Pikachu was shocked. Of all the Rocket Pokemon he's delt with over the years, Chimecho was the only one he genuinely liked. At some point he even considered her a potential friend. Sylveon felt Pikachu's sadness. She wrapped a feeler around her boyfriend to comfort him.
"...so what."
The heroes looked up in shock from the words that just came out of Jessie's mouth.
"That thing was in the boss' way" Jessie said.
James was at a complete loss for words.
"...in the boss' way...?" James muttered.
Mareanie could feel the pain in her master's voice. She suddenly grew very angry. She shot up and fired a barrage of Poison needles at her enemies.
"How dare you hurt him like that!" She yelled.
Gyarados, who had been waiting to attack, blocked the needles with its giant tail, the attack not even hurting.
Misty decided to continue on with her attacks.
"Gyarados, use Aqua Tail."
Gyarados' tail became enveloped in water as it slammed it towards Pikachu's group. Wobbufett activated his counter again, however, the Gyarados proved to be more powerful than they thought. It broke through the counter and smacked Wobbufett away.
"Wobbufett!" James yelled in concern. Wobbufett was down, but not out just yet.
James reached for another Poke Ball. "Inkay come out!"
Inkay appeared and got ready. It also felt sad for James' lost Pokemon and was more than willing to avenge it, even if it had to fight its now former allies.
"Inkay use Psybeam on Gourgeist" James said.
Inkay let out a quick sorry before it fired at its former friend. Gourgeist dodged and was about to fire back when something made it stop. It looked at Inkay, who looked back. A tear suddenly fell down Gourgeist's face.
"Gourgeist...please, let's not fight..." Inkay pleaded.
"I...I don't know what to do anymore...I don't want to abandon Jessie, but...even I can't stand this...I-I don't know what to do...!"
Inkay floated up to her. He smiled at her. She looked at him with sadness.
"Let's stop this, and finally do the right thing..." Inkay said.
Everyone was looking at them with confusion. Jessie was getting mad.
"Don't just float there! Use Shadow Ball on the traitor!"
Gourgeist was growing even more conflicted. She held her hair hands against her head. She kept struggling. She suddenly felt something touch her. She opened her eyes to see Inkay smiling at her.
"Gourgeist...you know I love you right?"
Gourgeist felt a lump in her throat. She gave him a sad smile.
"...I love you too..."
"Did you not hear me?! Attack!" Jessie yelled.
Gourgeist turned around and fired at Jessie. This caused Jessie to fall to the ground. She looked up and saw Gourgeist floating next to Inkay as they rejoined Pikachu and Sylveon's group.
"Y-You...you're betraying me too?! After everything you and I have been through?!"
"This is wrong! I see that now! And I finally see you for what you truly are! And I don't want to have a trainer like that anymore!" Gourgeist said.
Meowth translated what she had said. Jessie was fuming big time.
"...fine then...you'll just have to face the boss' wrath when he finishes off the twerps on MeleMele!"
Pikachu and Sylveon gasped at that.
"S-So that means Serena is..."
"Ash..."
Before anyone could do anything else, a plane carrying a smaller weapon was heard coming their way.
"It seems one is almost here, we better finish this up and get out of here" Misty said. She held her hand up to her ponytail, and revealed her keystone. "Let's end this now!" She tapped on it and light made its way to Gyarados. After it faded, a Mega Gyarados appeared, letting out another mighty roar. Misty smirked. "Hyper Beam."
Mega Gyarados shot a fully powered Hyper Beam all around the area. A huge explosion erupted. It was so destructive that fires started to break out and the sand became solid.
Pikachu slowly came to after a brief blackout. He looked around and saw his allies scattered around, all either unconscious or maybe even worse. He looked and saw Sylveon laying near him. She had blood on parts of her body, some coming from her mouth.
Pikachu stared at her wide eyed as tears started to fall. Flashes of memories the two have had flashed in his mind.

Sylveon started to stir. She opened her eyes and saw her mate covered in blood. This caused her to copy his facial expression.
(Sono shunkan anata mitsuketa)
They both slowly started to make their way towards each other.
(Ano hi kowai yume kara)
"Sylveon..." Pikachu barely got out.
"Pikachu..." was her only response.
(Nigashite kureta nukumori)
The two inched closer as voices echoed in their minds.
"Hi, I'm Pikachu, it's nice to meet you."
"I-I'm E-Eevee..."
(Zutto oikaketeiru)
Pikachu reached out his hand, Sylveon extended her feeler.
"You just have to have a little more confidence! I know you can do it if you try!"
"I'll never be as strong as you are..."
"Don't say that! You are strong!"
"R-Really?"
(Sono senaka wo marude inoru you)
The tips of themselves touched.
(Furimuki mo sezu)
"If he ever faces a crisis, I want to be the one by his side to help him. And in order to do that, I need to be the strongest, so I can fight by his side."
(Doushite iki isogu no)
Pikachu's hand and Sylveon's feeler made full contact. Misty and Jessie were about to leave when they noticed a glowing light getting brighter. They turned and looked on in shock.
Pikachu and Sylveon were slowly getting up, however Aura was engulfing both of them. Yellow Aura covered Pikachu's body. Lilac Aura was covering Sylveon's body.

"What is that...?!" Misty said.
"You'd think I'd know?" Jessie said.
"I have no idea either!" Meowth said.
The two Auras started growing stronger as Pikachu and Sylveon grabbed each other's paws.
"This is...our power! Our bond!" They both said.
(Watashi ga ima iki tsunagu wake wa)
Suddenly yellow and lilac electricity started to burst out.
(Mamoritai hito no)
"ITS AN ICON OF OUR LOVE!!"
(Sonzai tatta hitotsu)
As the lightning got stronger, the more nervous Misty and Jessie got.
"G-Gyarados! Use Flamethrower!"
Gyarados shot a large stream of flames from its mouth and towards Pikachu and Sylveon. The attack hit its mark. Misty and Jessie were grinning until they finally saw it.
Pikachu and Sylveon's Aura Lightning had canceled out the flames, and it was still growing stronger.
(Hitomi no yami ni sasu)
"What the hell?! What ARE they?!" Misty said in utter shock.
Pikachu's Aura started growing bigger.
"We fight...!" He started as more yellow lightning appeared.
"Together!!" Sylveon finished as her Aura grew bigger as more lilac lightning appeared.
(Hitosu ji no hikari wa)
Suddenly the weapon above them started to charge up. Misty and Jessie panicked.
Misty looked at Pikachu and Sylveon with hate. "IF I'M GOING DOWN, I'M TAKING THOSE TWO'S PRECIOUS PARTNERS WITH ME!! GYARADOS, HYPER BEAM AT FULL POWER!!!" She screamed.
(Kizutsuita anata no)
With all its remaining power, Mega Gyarados fired its ultimate Hyper Beam at Pikachu and Sylveon. The Weapon above them began to fire as well.
(Kodou kan jieta toki)
With all of their remaining strength, Pikachu and Sylveon released a giant Aura Lightning that enveloped the entire area. It first struck Mega Gyarados, then Misty Jessie and Meowth who were subsequently blown away, then finally reaching the weapon, which exploded on contact.
Pikachu and Sylveon screamed as they let out the last of their power.
After it was extinguished, they both fell to the ground, heavily wounded as a result. They slowly opened their eyes and stared at the other. Fresh blood was clearly visible on both of them, but they didn't care.
Sylveon gave her mate a very tired but happy smile. "Well...we beat 'em..."
A see through image of Ash in his Kanto attire appeared next to Pikachu.
Pikachu's widened as tears began to fall. He closed his eyes tight.
(Douka...ikanaide...)
Pikachu's mouth winced as his eyes remained closed. He suddenly opened them slightly and smiled.
(Mata hitori ni)
"Yeah...we sure did..."
(Modosanaide...)
The two's eyes closed, neither opening again. They laid side by side, connected by Sylveon's feelers.
(Ah...kienaide. Anata dake ga kaeru beki basho)
A bright light covered all of Alola, originating from a small island on MeleMele.
(No matter where you are)
And so ends Part III! Things are really heating up aren't they? I'm sorry this took so long to get out, but you probably know my reasons by now huh. Next chapter will be the penultimate chapter of the arc, and the one I'm most excited to write. So if you're still not pissed off at me, stay tuned for Part IV! Power to the Readers!
