Hello again everyone! I'm SO sorry I haven't been updating, work and other stuff continues to get in the way. It's also been a while because this is one of the most important chapters of the story, and I want this arc to be the pinnacle of this story, so in order to do that, I really need to take my time writing them. Before I go and let you finally read I just wanted to let you know more about this arc. This arc will be in five parts, and parts two-four will happen concurrently. Well, that's all for now, enjoy part two!
Storm clouds continued to cover Alola. Residents were being led into shelters by the Alolan gang. The Kahunas were fighting off some Team Rainbow Rocket members how had broken off from the main group. Burnet made her way towards Aether Paradise with Rotom accompanying her. On the small island they were on, Ash and Serena readied themselves for Jack and Giovanni to attack.
"Ready for a beating Ash? It's been a while since the last one hasn't it" Jack said.
Ash scowled. "Your threats don't scare me anymore!"
Jack readied a Poke Ball. "Are you sure about that?"
Jack threw the ball in the air, and a Blastoise appeared. It looked at Ash with excitement.
"I'm not the only one who's been looking forward to beating you again" Jack grinned.
Ash flinched. He remembered all the times Blastoise fired Hydro Pumps at him, just because it was bored. Nevertheless, he reached for his Poke Balls. He threw them into the air, and soon Passimian, Lycanroc, Silvally and Mimikyu appeared beside him. They all looked furious and were ready to beat him to a pulp.
"Time for your own beating you son of a bitch" Passimian said while cracking her fingers.
"I'm gonna crush you into the ground bastard" Lycanroc growled.
"Those who have hurt Ash will receive the ultimate punishment" Silvally said.
"I'll send you to hell myself you jerk" Mimikyu said as she readied her ghostly claws.
"Passimian Shadow Ball! Lycanroc Stone Edge! Silvally Ice Beam! Mimikyu Moonblast!" Ash called out.
The four fired off their attacks. Blastoise managed to dodge the Ice Beam and Stone Edge, but by doing so was struck by Shadow Ball and Moonblast. It was pushed back but remained on its feet.
'Time for some close quarters' Ash thought. "Passimian Brick Break! Lycanroc Fire Fang! Silvally Dragon Claw! Mimikyu Shadow Claw!"
The four took off towards Blastoise and readied their attacks. Lycanroc jumped as his mouth was engulfed in fire. Passimian readied her now glowing fist. Silvally and Mimikyu joined together and powered up their respective claws.
"Rapid Spin" Jack ordered.
Blastoise started to spin at high speeds. It deflected all of the attacks, pushing them back.
Serena was ready to help her boyfriend. She reached for her Poke Balls.
"Your fight is with me" Giovanni called.
Serena turned her head towards him. She scowled as she grabbed her Poke Balls.
"Have it your way" Serena said with a little venom in her voice.
She crossed her arms and released Pancham and Kartana. (You know that scene from the latest opening of Journeys where Ash releases his team? Picture Serena doing that here)
"Pancham Dark Pulse! Kartana Flash Cannon!"
The two fired off their attacks.
"Power Gem" Giovanni countered.
Persian fired of rocks from its forehead and collided with the attacks. A smoke cloud erupted.
"Use the cover of the smoke. Pancham use Thunder Punch! Kartana use Leaf Blade!"
Pancham and Kartana entered the cloud and managed to make it to Persian. Kartana flew around and slashed away at Persian. This however was Kartana's plan.
"Now Pancham!"
Pancham ran up to Persian and delivered a Thunder Punch powered uppercut to Persian's jaw. The result knocked Persian back. Serena acted fast. "Kartana use Air Slash!"
Kartana launched blades of wind towards Persian, hitting it directly. It slowly got up, however before it could do anything else, it was slammed into the ground again by Pancham's Thunder Punch.
"And stay down!" Pancham said with rage in his eyes. He thanked Infernape for all the training they did together.
Persian didn't get back up, and had swirls for eyes. Giovanni gritted his teeth as he returned Persian.
"Lucky brat! Let's see how you handle this!"
In a flash, a Rhyperior appeared. It let out a battle cry. Pancham and Kartana were unfazed by this.
Back to Ash's battle, Blastoise was getting tired. Ash decided to finally end this. He reached into his bag and pulled out a disk.
"Silvally! Please accept this Electric Memory, and lay waste with a thunderous boom!" Ash said as he threw the disk towards Silvally.
The slot on Silvally's head opened, allowing the disk to insert itself. Silvally's eyes, tail and head feather started to glow yellow.
"Multi-Attack!" Ash yelled.
Electricity enveloped Silvally. It let out a roar and slashed Blastoise with its claws. Said Pokémon fell backwards, laying motionless.
"What the hell?!" Jack said in surprise.
"This is the power that I share with all my Pokémon. The Pokémon that will help put an end for you for good!" Ash said with his hat covering his eyes. "You always looked down on me, making me believe I was weak, and beat me so many times I had lost count. But you know what? I'm glad you did...cause now I finally have the chance to prove you wrong" Ash said as his hand shook, then turning into a fist at the end. He revealed his entire face as he clenched his fist. "So come at me with all you've got!!"
Jack grunted as he reached for another Poke Ball. "You're even more pathetic than I thought!" He threw the Poke Ball in the air, and soon a Dragonite appeared, this one looking angrier than Iris'.
"Dragon Claw!" Jack ordered.
Dragonite's claws grew green as it flew towards Ash's Pokémon.
"Brick Break!" Ash said to Passimian.
Passimian ran at high speed and collided with Dragonite. The two entered a deadlock, trying to overpower the other. Jack suddenly smirked.
"So naïve." Dragonite suddenly opened its mouth. "Hyper Beam!" Dragonite shot a Hyper Beam at point blank at Passimian. Passimian was launched back and slammed into the ground.
"Passimian!" Ash called out in concern.
Passimian started to get up, albeit very slowly and with intense struggle. She called out to Ash, saying she was fine. Ash shifted his focus back towards his father.
"Pathetic! How could someone as weak as you ever be a successful trainer? You may have gotten lucky with Blastoise, but you still don't stand a chance against a Pokémon Master like me!" Jack taunted.
Ash's eyes weren't visible, but his mouth suddenly curved upwards, letting out a "hmm."
Dragonite was suddenly hit with an Ice Beam and Stone Edge. This caused it to fall onto its back.
"What?!" Jack said with surprise. He noticed that one of them was missing. He suddenly heard noises growing louder and louder. He looked up to see Mimikyu in the air with her claws out and holding a giant Moonblast above her. She had a dark blue flame like aura around her, and her black eyes were star shaped and colored yellow.
"No one hurts my precious trainer and gets away with it!!" Mimikyu yelled. She then threw the giant Moonblast right into Dragonite. After a huge explosion, Dragonite was completely motionless. Mimikyu landed in front of Ash with her claws still out. "You are so uncool!"
Jack was growing more angry.
"Still think it's just luck?" Ash said with a scowl.
Back at the battle between Serena and Giovanni, Rhyperior was on its last leg.
"Lousy brat! Rhyperior finish them with Rock Wrecker!" Giovanni ordered.
Rhyperior fired off its strongest attack. Serena and her Pokémon stood motionless as the attacks were coming towards them. Serena's eyes had been hidden. Suddenly a surge of Aura passed through her. She lifted her head up, revealing her eyes.
"We are not done yet!"
Pancham and Kartana took off again, this time way faster than before. In an instant Pancham and Kartana appeared behind Rhyperior, Pancham's fist glowing and Kartana's blade's colored green. After a few seconds, Rhyperior fell over, not getting back up.
Giovanni was becoming more infuriated. He took out another Poke Ball.
"I'm ending this now!"
In a flash, a Golem appeared.
"Explosion!" Giovanni yelled.
Golem started to glow brightly. Serena acted fast. Using her Aura again, she called out to Pancham.
"Stone Edge!"
Golem exploded, shaking the ground and almost knocking Ash and Jack over. When the blast ended, Giovanni looked with shock to see a bright blue glowing wall of rocks shielding the two Pokémon.
"Impossible! How did you-?!"
Giovanni was growing more angry than he's ever been. He reached for another Poke Ball.
Back towards Ash, thanks to the explosion, Jack's Snorlax fell onto its back.
"End it with Brick Break!" Ash shouted.
Passimian, who had recovered, was in the air, and once Ash gave the call, she powered up her fist at full power. She let out a battle cry as she slammed her fist into Snorlax's stomach.
"Sleep tight!!" She yelled.
Snorlax's turned into swirls. Jack took out his next Poke Ball.
"Let's see you handle this!" He threw it into the air and a Venusaur appeared. "Solar Beam!"
Venusaur began to charge up, however this turned out to be a huge mistake.
"Lycanroc Fire Fang! Passimian Rock Tomb! Silvally Ice Beam!"
The three unleashed their attacks, hitting Venusaur before it could finish charging. Venusaur was still standing but could fall if it hit one more time. Before Jack could give a command, Venusaur started to glow and being lifted into the air. They saw Mimikyu's eyes glowing again as she held her claws out.
"Finish it" Ash said with anger.
Mimikyu was more than happy to do so. With all her strength, she slammed Venusaur into the ground hard. Venusaur didn't get up after that.
Jack was growing even more angry. He looked and saw Ash just staring at him. He gritted his teeth as he threw his next Poke Ball. In a flash, a Jolteon appeared. It growled as it took a fighting stance.
Ash felt a surge of Aura take over. He looked at Silvally, who looked back at him. The two nodded. Ash then turned towards the others.
"Lycanroc Accelerock! Passimian Shadow Ball! Mimikyu Wood Hammer!"
They fired off their attacks. Jolteon was fast enough to dodge them, however this is what Ash wanted. Jack was still unaware of what was coming next.
"Jolteon use Thunderbolt!"
Jolteon fired off its attack. The three managed to dodge it. They suddenly grew smirks on their faces. This confused Jack and Jolteon. Suddenly a figure appeared behind Jolteon. Silvally had its claws out, and was sporting brown eyes, tail and head feather.
"Multi-Attack!" Ash yelled with his hand out.
Silvally slashed at Jolteon, the latter immediately falling to the ground.
Returning to Serena, Giovanni threw his Poke Ball into the air. A Nidoking appeared. It let out a roar. Giovanni smirked.
"No one has been able to defeat him! You are done here! You and your precious boyfriend will die here!"
Aura surged through Serena again, this time more stronger. She hadn't said a word since she ordered Pancham to create the Aura powered Stone Edge wall. Her eyes weren't visible again. Giovanni continued to laugh.
"...Guillotine."
In a flash, Kartana sliced Nidoking. Kartana said nothing during the exchange. Giovanni stopped laughing and looked on in confusion. Nidoking suddenly fell over, completely motionless.
Giovanni was beyond shocked. One of his strongest Pokémon had been defeated in the blink of an eye. Kartana flew back and hovered right next to Serena.
"Serena is everything to me...and anyone who hurts her will pay the price" Kartana said with hatred in his tone.
Ash and Serena rejoined each other, all their Pokémon joining them as well.
"Now do you see dad? I'm not the weak pathetic freak that you thought I was. I may be reckless, stubborn and even a little arrogant. But one thing I have above all else, is an unbreakable bond with the ones I care about. I may have been all alone and didn't have anyone to help me be strong growing up. But now, I've found ones BEING strong for, and it's thanks to them that I'm still here, still fighting, and still chasing my dream of becoming a Pokémon Master!"
Jack and Giovanni were shaking with rage.
"Jack...you didn't tell me they were THIS strong!" Giovanni said.
"They won't be for long. We still have our secret weapons left" Jack said.
The two readied their last respective Pokémon.
"It ends here Ash!" Jack yelled.
Jack threw his ball, and out popped a Charizard. Giovanni threw his ball, and out popped a Garchomp. The two men then revealed their key stones.
"Mega Evolve!" They both shouted.
The two transformed into their Mega Evolved forms, Charizard turning into its Y version. The two megas roared as they got ready for battle.
Ash and Serena grabbed the other's hand. The two looked at each other. Serena then smiled as she nodded her head. Ash did the same in return. The two looked at their enemy with bold smiles.
"You're right about that, it does end here!" Ash said.
"And our ultimate bond will make it happen!" Serena added.
The two took out their Z-Crystals and placed them on their respective Z-Rings.
"Let's go Lycanroc!" Ash yelled as he threw his arms into the air and formed an X.
"Let's do this Pancham!" Serena yelled, copying Ash.
Lycanroc's eyes suddenly turned red. He let out a howl as rocks started to spring up. Pancham placed his sunglasses over his eyes as he grinned.
Giovanni turned to Jack. "This wasn't part of the plan Jack!"
Jack said nothing. He was essentially out of options. He grunted.
Ash and Serena did the respective dance for their Pokémon.
"Lycanroc! Splintered Stormshards!!" Ash yelled.
"Pancham! One Million Dark Punch Barrage!!" Serena yelled.
As the attacks launched, Jack and Giovanni panicked.
"Flamethrower!" Jack ordered.
"Dragon Pulse!" Giovanni ordered.
The two megas launched their attacks. They made contact but didn't cancel out.
"KEEP GOING!!!" Ash and Serena shouted as Aura surged through them.
The Z-Moves overpowered the Mega Pokémon's attacks. Upon making contact, a huge explosion erupted. Ash and Serena covered their eyes until it died down. A flash suddenly erupted, a second later revealing the now defeated mega Pokémon reverting back to normal.
Everyone let out deep breaths. The Pokémon were incredibly tired from the fight, but kept their guard up.
"It's over. You've lost" Ash declared.
To their shock, the two men started to laugh.
"Over?? Did you honestly believe that??" Giovanni said.
"We didn't need to beat you. We just needed to waste your time" Jack said.
Now Ash and Serena were confused.
"Wha-...What are you talking about?!" Ash asked.
"Oh stupid boy, you didn't honestly think we invaded with just our Pokémon did you?" Jack said.
That's when Ash remembered the news story about the destruction of Alto Mare. He then remembered the dream he had the night before. Ash started to shake with fear. Serena turned and grew concerned.
"S-So...the destruction of Alto Mare...that was your doing?!" Ash asked.
Jack laughed. "It sure was, and my apprentice helped make it possible."
'Apprentice?' Ash thought. That's when it finally occurred to him. "N-No...why would she...?"
"Ash? What's wrong?" Serena asked while gripping his arm.
"You really messed up big time Ash. Rejecting the love from a girl you traveled with at the very beginning of your journey, now coming back to make you suffer for it" Jack taunted.
Ash started to form tears. "Is this really my fault? Am I really the cause of all this...?" He whispered.
Ash suddenly felt his arm being gripped tighter. He looked and saw Serena looking at him with slight anger and tears running down her face.
"...Don't you dare..." she said.
Ash stared at her with shock.
"Don't you dare for one goddamn second think this is your fault!"
"Serena..."
"Thinking it's your fault for rejecting her love? Give me a break! Don't you get it?! Who cares if you started your journey with her! Who cares how long you traveled together! She still treated you like shit every chance she got! If she truly loved you...she would've stood by you, fight with you, laugh and cry with you, support you, and..." Serena gave a sad smile. "Never giving up on you..."
Ash stared at Serena in silence. He took her words in. He suddenly smiled as he placed a hand on the side of her head. This surprised Serena, who blushed on instinct.
"Serena...you're right...about all of it. Who cares who I started my journey with? Who cares how long I was with her? I became who I am because of you. The bond I formed with you, the bond that brought us together all those years ago...is something I too will never give up on."
The two stared at each other lovingly. The looked back at the two men.
"It doesn't matter what we'll face!" Ash said.
"Cause we'll face it together!" Serena.
"Because that's...our ultimate bond!!" They shouted in unison.
There was silence at first as the humans stared each other down. Jack grabbed a phone and spoke.
"Is it ready?"
"Firing in 30 seconds" a voice said.
"Nice speech, however it's time for Alola to burn" Jack said calmly.
At Aether Paradise, a red alarm suddenly went off. Lusamine tapped on a button.
"Report!"
"There's a fleet of planes flying over the islands! There's a weird weapon attached to them!"
"Madam President! There's one over Mount Hokulani that's glowing!" Wicke said.
Suddenly a transmission appeared on the screen. A man with blonde hair, glasses and wearing a blue jacket appeared.
"Miss Lusamine! It's bad!"
"Molayne! What's happening over there!" Lusamine said.
"A plane with some kind of weapon on it just appeared out of nowhere! It looks like some kind of drill but more cylinder shaped!"
'Why does that sound familiar?' Jake thought to himself. He quickly reached inside his pocket. He took out a phone shaped object.
"Molayne! Can you possibly get a shot of the plane?" Jake asked.
Molayne was confused but did so anyway. The camera switched to a clear view of the plane and the weapon it was attached to. Jake held the phone up to the screen and scanned it. After a few seconds, the phone dinged. Jake looked at it and his eyes widened in horror.
"No..."
"What? What is it?" Lusamine asked.
"Molayne!! Get out of there right now!!" Jake yelled.
Before Molayne could respond, people behind him noticed the plane from the window. A light grew brighter, until a beam shot out from it.
Screaming was heard for a split second before the screen turned to static.
Everyone in the room was silent.
"Lusamine..." Burnet said.
She and Kukui brought up a screen of the now inflamed mountain.
"I managed...to save the recording of the weapon firing-roto..." Rotom said with sadness.
"...put it on screen" Lusamine said.
Rotom's face turned into the recording it salvaged. Everyone could only bare to watch it once.
"I never thought...he'd go through with it..." Jake suddenly said.
"Go through with what? What exactly was that?" Lusamine asked.
"I've been tracking down Jack for years, trying to find out what he had been planning. After countless years of searching, I had finally found it" Jake explained.
"Found what?" Kukui asked.
Jake pressed a button on his device. Schematics of the same weapon projected itself.
"This weapon was put into secret production by Giovanni of Team Rocket. However, Giovanni only had the funds, not the resources. To solve this issue, he searched for people who had what he needed. He encountered Jack, who sought revenge against the Pokémon League for his constant defeats. Later he enlisted the help of Faba to start the construction of a prototype, falsely promising him it would allow him to become Aether President. It took a turn for the worse when Faba discovered the best possible fuel to keep the weapon from exploding after firing...Ice Aura" Jake explained.
Everyone gasped at this revelation.
"The KCIA has long searched for this weapon, however it always remained elusive. But it gets worse" Jake said.
"W-What do you mean?" Burnet asked with fear.
"The one from the footage is smaller, meaning it won't do as much damage. And based on the data we gathered from the destruction of Alto Mare, it's safe to say the main one is somewhere else in Alola."
More beeping suddenly went off. A screen showing MeleMele island appeared with a bigger plane and weapon attached to it.
"That must be it!" Wicke said.
Kukui suddenly got a brainwave. "Hold on...where's Ash and Serena?"
There was silence. Overwhelming fear took over Burnet and Jake.
"No..." Burnet whispered.
"Serena..." Jake whispered in fear.
Back on MeleMele, Ash and Serena watched in horror as smaller beams rained down in the distance.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Giovanni said. "Soon Alola will burn to the ground, and I'll rebuild it in my image."
Ash and Serena looked at him with anger.
"Bastard!" Ash grunted.
Giovanni laughed. "Well, it truly has been fun, but I have a Region to rebuild, and you brats are in the way." Giovanni pulled out a gun and aimed it at the two.
Ash took a protective stance in front of Serena. Giovanni laughed again.
"Brave of you Ketchum, but now you die."
A gunshot erupted. Ash and Serena opened their eyes and gasped in shock.
Giovanni looked down and saw blood spreading across his stomach area. He turned to see Jack with a gun in his hand, smirking.
"Y-You...what..."
"Sorry Giovanni...but I'm the one who gets to kill Ash. Oh, and I'll rebuild Alola for you too" Jack said.
"Bastard...y-you'll pay for this...YOU'LL PA-"
Before he could finish, Jack shot him in the head, his body falling to the ground dead.
Ash and Serena and their Pokémon said nothing.
Jack blew the tip of his gun. He looked at the group.
"Wow he was SUPER annoying wasn't he." He turned on his phone again. "You may fire when ready."
Ash and Serena looked up and saw a big weapon above them charging up.
"W-What's that?" Serena said.
Flashes appeared in Ash's mind again. Images from his dream. Ash suddenly grabbed Serena.
"SERENA RUN!!!"
Jack covered himself in a protective shield. He laughed. "Fire!!"
A massive beam shot down. Suddenly, six figures appeared and blocked the beam. The group looked up and saw the island guardians and two other Pokémon, one was white and gold, the other purple and yellow.
"Solgaleo! Lunala! Lend us your strength!" The island guardians yelled.
The six Pokémon held on for as long as they could. Jack grunted. He pressed a button. The beam grew brighter. It eventually became too much and slipped through. It crashed into the ground, decimating the area. Ash and Serena tried to get away with their Pokémon but was blown away from each other.
Everything went black.
Ash slowly started to open his eyes. He slowly moved his head to look around.
The whole area was destroyed and partially on fire. He tried to get up but his body was too heavy. He saw the Pokémon motionless nearby. They didn't appear to be dead, or at least that's what Ash hopes. He slowly moved his head again. That's when he saw her.
Serena was also on her stomach. Her shirt was gone, leaving only her black tank top. Her beanie was also gone. But what was worse was that Serena had a lot of blood on her, some coming from her head and some from her mouth.
Serena suddenly moaned. She opened her eyes and saw Ash. He had lost his shirt and hat, his pants ripped, his gloves still intact but barely, and had blood on his face.
Ash began to slowly crawl his way towards Serena.
"Sere...na!" He managed to get out.
Serena stared at him with wide eyes as her breath hitched.
"Serena..."
Serena started to cry.
"Ash..."
She slowly started to crawl towards Ash.
A voice suddenly echoed in Serena's head. "Don't give up till it's over, kay?"
A voice then echoed in Ash's mind. "Hey Ash? We'll still continue our journey right?"
The two reached their hand out to the other. They both felt the edge of something. They grabbed onto it.
Light started to glow from the ribbon, both of their strength returning.
(You're...not alone...)
Jack removed the shield and saw Ash and Serena slowly standing up.
(There's no doubt...you're gift...isn't futile to be...)
"How are they...still standing?!" Jack said.
Indigo Aura started to envelop Ash. Pink Aura started envelop Serena.
"Our bond...can't be broken..." Ash said.
(If we'll be United...)
"By anyone..." Serena said.
(We're stronger together)
Ash looked up, revealing his Indigo colored eyes. "We stand by each other!"
(We always have the high hope)
Serena looked up, revealing her pink eyes. "No matter what!"
(Not all for one, but one for all)
The blue ribbon wrapped itself around Ash and Serena. Their respective Aura intensified around them.
Jack was at loss for words. "What is this power?!"
The blue ribbon tightened itself, creating a mental link. Flashes of memories flashed in their minds.
"Where is everybody? Mommy!" A young Serena's voice echoed.
(Don't, worry bout a thing...)
"I'll show you all! I will become a Pokemon Master!" A young Ash's voice echoed.
(We'll reach out...to you...)
An image of Ash and Serena meeting for the first time appeared. Ash was hugging Serena as the patter's eyes were wide.
(Even if it's the harder way...)
"We'll fight as one!" Ash said.
(It's...plain to see...the reason why)
"Now and forever!" Serena said.
(Oh, that's all because of the mighty heart)
"I've had enough of this nonsense!!" Jack yelled. He charged up the beam again, this time at full power.
(Remember it's just, natural that, we'll be there...if you need help)
A young Ash appeared. He was wearing an orange tank top and blue shorts, he immediately turned back into his present self. "Never giving up!!" He yelled as he readied his fist as his Indigo Aura grew even stronger.
(Far across...the distance)
A young Serena appeared. She was wearing her pink sundress and straw hat, she immediately turned back into her present self. "Till it's over!!" She yelled as she readied her fist as her pink Aura grew even stronger.
(Rest assured that...our faith just won't die)
"DIE!!!!!!" Jack screamed. He fired the beam right down at them.
Ash and Serena stomped on the ground as they started to swing their fists upward.
(You know...)
"AMOURA...SPHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!" They both shouted. A multicolored beam shot out from them.
(We have to sacrifice...ourselves)
The two beams collided with each other. Ash and Serena screamed as blood shot from their arms, but this didn't waver them. They kept pushing, memories of their past fueling them.
(Whatever they may say
It's plain to see the reason why

Jack saw that his beam was starting to weaken. "No! This can't be happening!! What ARE they?!"
(Remember it's just natural that)
Ash and Serena continued to scream as their arms started to burn from the continued attack. Amoura Sphere finally made it through and hit the weapon with full force. The resulting strike blew up the weapon and plane it was attached to.

Far across the distance)
"No!!! This can't be happening!!" Jack yelled.
Ash and Serena screamed one more time as their Aura did one last surge.
(Rest assured that our faith just won't die)
A final explosion erupted. A bright light shined all over Alola. Everyone who saw watched in awe at the sight. While at its brightest, Ash and Serena began to fall down. They made eye contact with their half opened eyes. They both formed a weak smile.
"...I love you..." they both whispered, yet it seemed to echo.
They hit the ground, right as the bright light started to fade.
And that my dear readers, ends part II. I really wanted to do a scene like this, I think it adds a lot to it. Again, I'm so sorry I took so long to update. And like I said at the beginning, the next two chapters will take place at the same time as this chapter did. I hope you all are still enjoying this arc and I'll see you all again soon.
