The group got closer to the oval, which it was dead center of the room.
"How do we attack? Do we just enter?"
"This just says that we didn't think anything out." Capricorn said.
"We'll make it!" Virgo smiled.
"Who's going in first?" Libra asked.
Scorpio stood forward.
She pulled out her glittering iron sword.
"I'll go first.." she finally said.
"Are you sure?"
"Mhm.."
Scorpio's mood changed as she yelled, "FOR STINGER!" As she ran towards the opening.
"What?"
"A monster squashed stinger." Virgo said, following Scorpio with his bronze sword.
The others followed, not far behind.
Virgo almost ran into Scorpio.
"Scorpio! What the-" Virgo stopped suddenly.
The others almost rammed right into the two.
They were about to curse them out for stopping without warning, but noticed why they stopped.
A large yellow light, it faded into black and orange in the center.
"This is it.." Leo mumbled.
"You're back?" Cancer asked.
"Yeah..somewhat." Leo stepped forth.
With no weapon, Leo almost touched it.
"Don't! Remember it'll burn you!" Pisces pulled her away.
"But-" Leo looked back.
"The opening closed!" She shouted.
The others looked behind.
There was no sign of the other side.
"Shoot!"
A cackle was heard.
A woman with black hair, fair skin, and a king gothic dress gave a wicked smirk.
"Finally! The signs of the zodiac descendants!" She cackled.
"Nyx.." Libra mumbled.
"The goddess even Zeus is afraid of, this was planned by you. Wasn't it?" Leo asked.
"Oh, yes it was. You're smart dear Lion."
"And for the record, you did this to yourselves." Another voice boomed.
Eris came forth.
"We- how?!" Gemini questioned.
"You fell for the Minotaur, you made your way here, and you entered the opening." Eris explained.
"What about the sewer? That was planned?"
"Yes, but not your survival.." Nyx said with disappointment.
"Our plan would have gone better, if only Nemisis would join us..." Eris grumbled.
"You wanted to goddess of Revenge on your side?"
"Yes, but she refused our offer..."
"That goes to show that even those who are said to have no heart are better than you." Pisces said.
Eris glared at him, then looked at her mother.
Nyx gave a reassuring nod.
"Enough with the small talk, let's get this over with." Eris chuckled.
A wave a pure hatred rushed through Pisces.
"Even the calmest cannot resist the urge to let out every ounce of anger." Eris sang.
Nyx gave an evil smirk, as everyone felt slight rotation.
"What's going on?!" Libra asked.
Nyx tan for Leo.
But the girl dodged the goddess.
"You can't escape. If I'm even feared by Zeus himself, what makes you think you can beat me?" Nyx cackled.
"You- you're rotating the earth at a very high speed! Why?!"
"It gives me the upper hand."
At that moment, Leo was pulled by the arm.
She let out a yelp as the goddess cut her arm.
Sagittarius shot an arrow, and the goddess dodged...having the arrow hit Leo.
Sagittarius had a wave of pure fear rush over him, as Leo's body hit the floor.
"Sagittarius! What'd you do?!" Pisces yelled.
"I-I meant to hit-Nyx!" Sagittarius suddenly felt rage.
"Why're you yelling at me?! You've done nothing so far! At least I'm doing something!" He yelled at Pisces.
"Excuse me?! Last I checked I was the one that found this opening!" Pisces defended.
"Hey! I noticed it first!" Aquarius also got mad.
The three argued.
"Eris..Crap!" Aries mumbled knowing her power.
"Yes, dear ram! You understand!" Eris said.
"You're power- you turn people against each other! You-you're actually the cruelest goddess.."
Eris only pointed behind Aries.
When he looked behind him, Nyx was gently passing a sharp object across Leo's chest. The girl was awake, but couldn't move with the arrow.
The shape object was revealed as a dagger.
Just as the goddess lifted her hand to stab Leo, she yelled, "No! My life isn't over! Not yet!" As she yelled those words, the Dem star shot a orange laser.
"It's activated by sound..?!" Nyx asked.
Even though this wasn't the worst to be witnessed, the goddesses retreated in order to avoid getting burned by lasers.
They disappeared with a gold glitter.
The three that were arguing suddenly stopped.
"Why is my bow aimed at Pisces?!" Sagittarius put his bow down.
"Why are you trying to kill me?!"
"I don't know!"
"Leo!" Aries rushed to her side.
The others gathered around.
The girl had shallow breathing, next to her a small pool of blood stood. She was shot near her rib.
"Come on! Let's get you fixed up-"
Leo interrupted Aries with a yelp of pain.
"There-There's no point..just-get a weapon and shoot-the core." Leo winced.
"I can shoot it with-"
"No, it'll burn the arrows...you need more force."
The rotating also stopped, which helped a lot.
"Leo! We can't do this without you! What about your promise to Laura?"
Leo pulled a paper from her pocket.
Blood trickled down her mouth.
"Here..."
Aries took it, but shook his head.
"No-No! We-I'm not-I'm not doing this without you!"
"You'll be fine..Leo representatives don't live long usually. My time would have come sooner, but I was spared. Now..."
"Don't say that..!"
The others couldn't bare to watch.
"I'm ready...I'm happy..seeing the people I'm closest to...it's the best way..a proper death..This is a proper death to me. You want me to be happy don't you?"
"Of-Of course! But-you can't go! Not like this.."
Leo chuckled.
"Aries..I'm-I'm ready..ready as I'll ever be."
Aries couldn't hold it together anymore.
He cried.
As he moved a piece of hair from her face, she smiled.
"Blood loss isn't the worst death you can get, I'm lucky.." Leo chuckled.
Aries held Leo close.
"Can you all look at me?" She asked.
The others mustered the courage to look at Leo.
Blood down her mouth, weak eyes, a pool of blood in the floor..and she still smiled.
"I'm happy seeing your faces..one..last...time...."
Leo rested her head, it tilted slightly to the side, her body wasn't tense, and her smile slightly faded.
Aries did nothing, but cry.
Taurus put a hand over her mouth, and she looked away.
Scorpio put a hand on Aries' shoulder.
"She was ready..she accepted her fate.."
"Yeah, but-it wasn't supposed to go like this..she-she was supposed to enjoy her life..not-no! She didn't deserve this..!"
Scorpio sat on the floor with Aries, she rested her head on his shoulder as tears rolled down her face.
The others hugged each other, but no one could get over the fact that they just watched their friend die..but at least she was happy about it.
She was ready...as ready as anyone could be for death.
