Anu's POV
Right now I'm stuck with my mumma and dii for shopping for my engagement
Aghhhhh
But wait obviously you guys don't know what happened from last night to right now.
Let me tell you, after i came back home dii bombarded me with her questions where i tried to answer all of them and finally at 1 am she let me sleep.
Now fast forward to morning, papa asked me about my decision and as soon as I said yes, it was all choas. Everyone was so happy and mumma and dii were literally jumping out of their seats.
After having breakfast, papa called uncle told him that it's a yes from our side and uncle said they've already talked to their Panditji and there are two dates one is after one week and one is after 3 months and there is no auspicious time in between the two dates. Since our families were too eager they decided that our engagement would be after one week that is next Wednesday which exactly one day before my birthday.
Hence, I'm here in this showroom stuffed between my mumma and dii who are showing me numerous lehenga designs but I'm not liking none of them.
I sighed, what should I do!!!
"Anu beta, see did you like this one", mumma asked showing a green coloured lehenga
"No mumma, i will look like a peacock in this", i replied looking at the lehenga to which mumma laughed
"Here try this one", dii gave me a lehenga to try
And the same process happened for 3 more hrs till I found my dress which i was looking for.

After billing we left for home. Our hands were filled with shopping bags literally there were too many.
I just sat on the sofa and was drinking chilled water when jiju called me
"Yes jiju", i asked
"Someone here wants to talk to you", jiju said handing me landline telephone
"Who", i asked but he just smiled
I took the phone
"Hello", i answered confused
"Hi", a deep manly voice answered on other side

"Hi-hi", i stuttered
Stupid Anu!
"How are you", he asked
"I'm good, you", i answered
"Good too", he answered back
"And how was your shopping, i heard you are not a big fan of shopping", he laughed
"Don't laugh. You know, my whole body is aching now roaming from shops to shops and changing dresses", i ranted
"Aww, my poor baby", he again laughed and i blushed
Seriously, i blush too much whenever I'm around him
I remained silent
"Okay, I'm sorry. So did you selected anything", he asked
"Yess and I'm not going to tell you", i told him
"Okay fine", he said
"You had your lunch yet", i asked
"Yeah, you", he questioned
"Do you think i can even function without munching on my food", i asked
"Of course not", he again laughed
Gosh!! His laugh is soo addicting
"Don't you think it will be too hard for me to talk you like this. Like first i will call on the landline and wait for someone for pick up then tell that person to let me talk to you. It's too hectic you know", he pondered and i smiled
"You could have just asked for my number, you know", i said in the same tone
"I know but then it wouldn't be any fun", he answered and i laughed
"So can I have your number now", he asked
"Of course", i answered and gave him my number
After that we had to end our talk as he has to attend a meeting.
I entered the living room to see smiling faces of dii and jiju
I too smiled discretely taking my bags and left from there.
"Anu", dii shouted and i giggled
At night
We just finished our dinner, papa and jiju already slept because both were too tired as they were making arrangements for the engagement.
But we decided to have ice cream, so dii and i are going to ice cream parlour to get ice cream for everyone
We reached the ice cream parlour and got the ice cream.
As we were going towards our car, i collided with a man in hoodie whose face was covered with the cap
"I'm so sorry", i said
"It's okay", that man said hurriedly and left

I've heard that voice somewhere!!
Rohan..
Is he back from jail or what??
I looked back to see no one was there.
"Anu, what happened", dii shooked me
"Rohan", i managed to say
"What, did you saw him", she asked
"That man i collided with", I told her and she was shocked too
"It's okay baby. It's okay. You are safe. Come lets go home", she took me to car and we left
Just one question was roaming in my mind
How the hell did he came out of jail. He was supposed to be in jail for 3 years but now he is out just in 1 and half year
Why???
Soon we reached home
"Anu, don't think about it. Everything will be okay. You are safe. We are with you and most importantly Adith is with you", dii assured me and i nodded
"I need to sleep", i said and entered my room
After changing my clothes, i laid on the bed
My phone pinged
It was a message from a unknown number
Did he got my number too ??
