"Here let me hold the ice creams so you can wipe your eyes" Techno said as Tommy handed the ice creams over to him before wiping his eyes with a sniffle. "Does your head hurt?" Techno asked. "A-a tiny bit but it's fine" Tommy answered as he started to calm down. "Ok, you'll be alright, after the ice creams do you wanna have a talk with me in private whilst we make sandcastles?" Techno asked as he handed the ice creams back. Tommy hesitated for a second before nodding, "just as long as you don't tell anyone". "I swear I won't tell anyone" Techno said with a reassuring smile before standing up straight. "Come on you'll be alright I promise, let's go serve the ice cream to the customers" Techno smiled as Tommy smiled back before they both walked side by side down to the spot. "Now you have to put on a fancy accent as you hand it to them ok?" Techno said. "Yeah but wait, give me both of theirs I wanna do it or do you want to?" Tommy asked. "Go ahead, here" Techno smiled as he took Tommy's ice cream before handing Tommy Phil's.
Techno followed slightly behind Tommy before they both got to Phil. "Here is your ice cream sir" Tommy said in a fancy accent. "Thank you" Phil laughed as he put his book down and took the ice cream from Tommy. "Moving on to the last one, this one's a bit of a weird one so we might have to be careful" Tommy joked, making Phil and Techno laugh before he and Techno went over to Wilbur. "Here's your ice cream qUiKeD uP WhiTe BoY" Tommy said, keeping the accent but also mixing it up a bit. "Why thank you very much gReMLin" Wilbur said back as Tommy gave him his ice cream. "I like the nicknames" Techno laughed as Tommy sat down. "Your ice cream" he said, following the accent trend as he gave Tommy his ice cream. "Oh yeah!" Tommy laughed, forgetting about his own ice cream.
"Is it alright if I go sit with Phil?" Techno asked, wanting to spend time with all of them equally. "Yeah of cause go ahead" Wilbur smiled. "Techno!" Tommy yelled, giving him the look that said 'remember'. Techno nodded before smiling and walking away with his own ice cream already in hand. "Hi Phil" he said as he sat down on the empty sun bed on the other side of the umbrella. "Hiya mate, how is it all so far?" Phil asked, putting his book down before handing Techno a towel so he wouldn't get cold. "I feel free if that even makes sense, and it smells nice" Techno smiled. "It does make sense don't worry and the smell is the salt mixing with the ocean water" Phil smiled back. "Oh, that's actually kinda cool" Techno smiled, licking his ice cream every now and then. "Yeah?" Phil laughed, doing the same.
"When the sun starts to set, Wilbur will play one of his chill songs then after about 3 of those, we'll all get food then go to the arcade for a bit then head home, sound good?" Phil said. "What's an arcade? Wilbur said that before I think" Techno said, "well no I know what one is but what does it look like on the inside? And what do you do? I've clearly never been to one" he laughed nervously. "Oh you'll have a great time, there are all different kinds of things you can do there" Phil said as he explained everything you can do in an arcade, including the 2p machines, the random games that are splatted everywhere and the cool lights and music. Techno suddenly felt tears in his eyes except they weren't bad tears because he felt happy, *why am I crying?* he wondered. "Aww mate" Phil smiled. "S-sorry I don't know why I'm crying" Techno laughed nervously. "It's happy tears, you're happy, that's good" Phil smiled more. "T-thank you for everything, you-you could've just kicked me out but for some reason you didn't, thank you" Techno smiled, laughing every now and then.
"It's no problem at all seriously! Now look at you, thriving at the beach with ice cream" Phil laughed. "Yeah" Techno smiled back. They all soon finished their ice creams as he looked over at Tommy, he was smiling but something felt off now that Techno knew and saw what had happened. "I'm gonna go over to them, have fun reading" he smiled at Phil before getting up and waving. "Alright mate have fun!" Phil waved back before picking his book back up.
Techno watched as Tommy got up and met with him halfway whilst Wilbur went over to Phil. "Can we" Tommy said before sighing. "Talk?" Techno said, finishing his sentence as Tommy nodded. "Of cause we can, where do you wanna go?" he asked. "Can we go back over there?" Tommy asked, he seemed on edge. "Yeah sure, come on" Techno smiled at him before following him back over to the many sandcastles and sitting down. "Promise you won't tell anyone". "Wanna pinky promise again?" Techno asked, "we both know you can't break them". Tommy nodded as they both linked pinky's again before separating. "Ok so the guys at the shop, they're at this beach every single time we come here and I don't get how or why- doesn't matter, they always follow me to the shop and shove me around and sometimes hit me and pull my hair. The guys, not the same ones, but the guys at school do it too, yes they bully other people too but it hurts" Tommy instantly started explaining whilst building a sandcastle to keep his hands occupied.
"What do the guys at school do if you don't mind me asking?" Techno asked. "T-they punch and kick me until I don't have energy, then they leave me. They never touch my face though, I guess to make everything unnoticeable" Tommy shrugged, "but it's fine it doesn't affect me". "Do you have a lump in your throat?" Techno asked, trying something. "Yes, how did you know?" Tommy said confusedly. "Then it's definitely affecting you enough to make you want to cry" Techno said. "That's what that is?!" Tommy said confusedly. "Yeah" Techno laughed before getting serious again, "If I'm still around the next time you come here then get me to come with you-" "wait what you're not staying?" Tommy said, giving Techno a look. "Well your house is only my permanent house for another 6 months or so I think, my memory isn't the best but it's something like that" Techno explained. "How do I make you stay forever?" Tommy asked, clear worry in his voice. "Phil would have to adopt me but let's not worry about that now, we can talk about that later ok?" Techno smiled.
"Ok but promise me you will stay forever" Tommy said, holding his pinky out. "Tommy-" "Pinky promise. It's a promise you can't break you said it yourself" Tommy said as tears slowly filled his eyes again before he started blinking them away. Techno nodded as their pinkies linked once again before separating. "It's alright I'm not going anywhere" he smiled at him, "when are we going to school next?" He asked. "Well it's Friday today so on Monday in 3 days" Tommy answered, wiping his eyes for a second. "Ok, in school, I want to know where they hurt you and when because I can protect you ok? I know who you're talking about so I know who to look out for" Techno said calmly. "N-no no you can't do that" Tommy said, he sounded scared and quite panicked. "Ok ok, it's ok, take a deep breath" Techno said, keeping his tone the same. Tommy nodded as he did what he said. "It's alright, relax ok, you're fine, I just need to know when and where they hurt you" Techno said.
"At-at break and lunch, and they always take me to the side of the school" Tommy said. "Do your friends not help?" Techno asked. "Well Tubbo is more focussed on the things around him and Ranboo just follows Tubbo" Tommy said. "Ok, wait is that why you wear that? To keep the bruises and what not hidden?" Techno asked concernedly, hinting at the long sleeved top. "P-please don't tell them" Tommy stuttered. "We've pinky promised twice that I will not even speak" Techno said. "I know its just a big secret" Tommy sighed. "I get that, it's completely ok don't worry, just maybe get your friend group to come sit with me and Wil for lunch and come hang around us at break ok?". Tommy nodded, feeling the lump in his throat start to hurt. "Wait didn't you say a few days ago in the car that they have stopped?" Techno said confusedly. "I-I lied, dad has called the school about it which didn't do anything and Wilbur looks out for me occasionally but he never comes up to me a-and asks" Tommy explained more as he started breaking down again.
"S-sorry I don't know why I just told y-you all that" he said as he started to regret it. "It's alright I promise, you have nothing to apologise for, you did good" Techno smiled, repeating Wilbur's words since he didn't really know how to comfort someone. "Thank you for-for helping and listening" Tommy said, suddenly feeling the need to shut up. "It's alright, when we get home do you mind if I have a look at the bruises in case some of them need to be treated?" Techno asked. "O-ok" Tommy stuttered. "Can I ask you one last question?". Tommy nodded. "Do they cut you or do anything like that?". "T-they did once, I-it hurt a lot but I don't think it was bad". "When did they do it if you don't mind me asking?". "Y-yesterday at lunch" Tommy answered as a tear ran down his face. "Tommy look at me" Techno said as they both made eye contact, "you're very brave for telling me all of this and I'm glad you did, on Monday just stick with me and Wil and yell as loud as you can if they start to drag you away ok? I'm sure you won't have to though because I'll keep a very close eye on you ok?". "Thank you" Tommy cried, "I can't tell Wilbur anything be-because he just gets mad and he doesn't listen so thank you".
Techno felt bad for Tommy, "you can tell me anything ok, I promise, I'll listen if that's all you need" he smiled. "Thank you" Tommy cried into his hands. "It's alright, you're ok" Techno said as he shuffled closer to Tommy before pulling him into a hug. "Do you mind if I feel for any bumps on your head?" Techno asked, feeling Tommy nod. Techno carefully ran his hand through Tommy's hair, suddenly hearing him hiss. "Does it hurt there?" he asked, taking his hand away. Tommy nodded. "Ok it's alright, you can rely on me with these things if you don't want to tell Wilbur or Phil ok?". Tommy nodded once again with a sniffle. "It's ok, we can talk more later if you need but for now let's go have fun, yeah?" Techno smiled as he separated from the hug. Tommy nodded. "It's ok, try not to think about school or any of that, wanna go get everyone drinks?" Techno asked with a smile.
"W-will you come with me because the guys will be there again" Tommy asked. "Yeah of cause, lets go get everyone's orders" Techno joked as he stood up before helping Tommy up. "I'm gonna do the funny voice again" Tommy sniffled, cheering up as he smiled. "Go ahead" Techno smiled back as he followed Tommy over to Phil and Wil. "Hey guys, what were you 2 talking about over there?" Phil asked. "How about that drink" Tommy said, ignoring the question. "Drinks already ok!" Phil laughed as he ordered his before Wilbur ordered his. "Will that be all?" Tommy said, putting on the accent again. "I think so" Wilbur smiled. "Alright, I will be just a second" Tommy laughed as he started walking away with Techno following.
Techno noticed the group of boys that had started following them, of cause the same ones that were at the ice cream shop. "Ignore them, did Phil give you money?" he asked. "Yup, got it right here" Tommy smiled. "Want me to order or do you?" Techno asked. "Can I?" Tommy asked. "Yeah sure go for it!". Techno listened as the boys started laughing again, he then noticed Tommy hide his stomach and ribs again with his arms as he started stuttering in his words. "Is that all?" The man asked at the counter. "Y-yes yes please" Tommy stuttered. "They're not laughing at you don't worry" Techno whispered to him. "You don't have to lie" Tommy whispered back. Techno suddenly noticed one of the boys lean in and start to move their hand toward Tommy's head. The anger quickly returned as he grabbed the boy's wrist and flung it back. "Pink hair has got moves!" He heard one of the boys laugh. "Techno-" "it's alright trust me" Techno smiled at Tommy as Tommy gave him a concerned look.
"There you go" the guy at the counter said. "Thank you" Techno smiled at him as they both grabbed the drinks before going. "You started stuttering there" he pointed out as Tommy walked by his side. "Yeah" Tommy sighed. "Are you ok?" Techno asked. "Yeah I'm fine" Tommy said quietly. "You don't have to lie, remember I'll listen" Techno reassured him. "Before you came over to me before at the ice cream shop, they said hurtful things about how skinny I am and how I'm basically a skeleton" Tommy said, his voice cracking towards the end. "I can assure you now you look nothing like a skeleton, for one you have skin that's literally all I have to say because after all skeletons don't" Techno joked, "and your body is completely fine, its perfect Tommy and its not something you need to worry about ok? You look fine and plus, the boys can't say much, most of 'em had basically drawn on moustaches and abs like come on". "Yeah" Tommy laughed, slowly cheering up again.
"It's alright, people say you get used to it which is true but it's not a particularly good thing to say, saying that implies that it continues but it will stop, it does stop especially as you get older, people mature more and if they don't then them themselves will end up in a bad place but then it's not your responsibility anymore if you get what I'm saying? Sorry kinda went on a rant there" Techno laughed. "I get what you're saying" Tommy laughed. "Oh we're already here, do you wanna serve Phil and Wil their drinks again?" Techno asked. "Yes please" Tommy smiled as he grabbed the right drinks from him before going over to the 2. Tommy did his little speeches again before relaxing with his own drink whilst Techno had his. Him and Phil shared a sun bed whilst Tommy and Wilbur shared the other.
"How has everyone's day been?" Phil asked, starting small talk. "Good! I love coming here it's so nice" Wilbur said as Tommy nodded. "The ocean is weird" Techno said, making them all laugh. "I've been very relaxed under the umbrella with my book" Phil smiled. "Of cause you have" Tommy said quietly. "What was that Tommy?" Phil said. "Nothing" Tommy said, his voice high pitched which made everyone laugh.
The sun started to set as Techno gasped. "I love sunsets" Tommy gasped with him. "We know Tom you say it every time" Wilbur said, as Techno and Phil laughed. "Did you know I love sunsets" Tommy said directly into Wilbur's ear. "Ah man what the fuck" Wilbur laughed as he shoved Tommy away. "Language" Phil said. "You sound like one of my friends online" Tommy laughed. "You've said that a million times too" Phil said with a laugh. "Yeah" Tommy said quietly whilst smiling. "Right I'll go get the guitar!" Wilbur said as he quickly got up and grabbed the keys before running off to the car. Once he got back, Tommy sat on the sand whilst Wil got comfortable and started playing 'Losing Face'. About another 2 songs later, the 3 clapped whilst Wilbur got up and bowed, making them all laugh. "Arcade time!" Tommy yelled, quickly standing up before being stoped by Phil.
