Sorry I didn't get any writing done but Disney was hella fun and I had a hella good time and I'm working on another (two more actually) hockey fics oops

So I hope you guys like it cause I really do

Song suggestions:
-once in a lifetime by one direction
-if I'm lucky by state champs
-never be by 5sos

So in Disney we pretty much went to magic kingdom every night and my best friend was there and we hung out every night and went on space mountain and seven dwarves and a bunch (like all of them) of other rides and it was just a lot of fun

BUT on the other hand looch got traded to the kings and he's gonna hate it out there and it makes me sad cause he's my sunshine child :(((

and Joe kelly got sent down to Pawtucket (AAA team) and I took it a bit personally

so I mean the week was fun but it was also a little bittersweet and by bittersweet I mean just bitter cause I'm a ball of hatred

Annnnyyyyywaaaaayyyyy

OH the goal is 6 votes and 3 comments :)x

"WHERE ARE MY-"

"Don't yell, Haz," Jimmy laughed, coming into the room. "I'm right here."

"Where are my copies of To Kill a Mockingbird, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Roman Holiday?" Hazel groaned. Jimmy laughed.

"Your actual To Kill a Mockingbird book is on my bedside table. The movies are on the coffee table. I'll see you tomorrow," Jimmy said, giving Haz a one armed hug.

"Where are you going so I know who to call?" she asked. Jimmy couldn't help but laugh at her over-protectiveness.

"I'm going running with Julian and Danny, and then we're going to the bar. I'm gonna stay over either Jules and Nikki's place or Danny and Addy's place. I'll be home tomorrow," he said. She nodded.

"Ok. So I'll call Nikki or Addy if I need you," she teased. Jimmy stuck out his tongue.

"Bye, Haz."

"Wait!" she called. He stuck his head back in the door. "Why is my copy of To Kill a Mockingbird in your room?" she asked suspiciously.

"Bye, Haz," he grinned, a mischievous gleam in those dark brown eyes. Hazel smiled widely, and as she watched her best friend walk away, her heart fluttered. Her phone rang, and she went over to answer it.

"Hello?" she answered.

"Hey," Logan replied, not even attempting to bite back a smile.

"Hi," she replied back, also not even attempting to bite back a smile.

"So I just called to let you know I ran into some traffic," he said. "I'll be there in like, fifteen minutes, alright?"

"Alright, Logan," she smiled. "I'll see you soon."

"Alright. Bye, Haz," Logan smiled. He hung up, and he was grinning like an absolute fool. He wasn't really in traffic, no. He was just stopping to get Hazel flowers. But obviously Haz didn't know that.

Hazel was pacing about the kitchen nervously. She had never really ever been in love.

When she was in high school, she was the shy, quiet girl that sat in the back of the classroom and read the entire class, yet still got straight A pluses. She didn't pay attention: she read, wrote, and drew, but she was smart. She was also Rolling Meadow's own resident soccer star. She was the best in the county, and one would think that made her the popular girl, but no. You would think being a musical prodigy, too, would make her popular, but no. She was just Hazel: quiet, soft-spoken Hazel.

She didn't like to be the center of attention. She didn't like to flaunt the fact that her parents had money. She didn't like to flaunt the fact that she was a soccer star or a musical prodigy. She didn't like people knowing who she was.

When she turned sixteen, someone finally caught her eye: one of the football players at Rolling Meadows High School. Gabriel Acherman was tall, handsome, and everything you would think of a football player in a stereotypical, teen-rom/com movie. He was a dirty-blonde, six foot four tight end with the prettiest blue eyes she had ever seen. His smile lit up her day, but he had no idea who she was.

That all changed one Friday night, Senior year. Jimmy was a good guy, and he was the best best friend anyone could have. So, knowing she had a crush on Gabe, he planned on introducing them. But things rarely go as planned, and Haz learned that the hard way.

They won the game, and the guys got a little tipsy. Gabe tried to kiss Haz that night under the bleachers, and his girlfriend happened to come around as Hazel (too shocked to do anything else) kissed him back. She thought she was in love with him for two years, and when she was finally in this situation, she realized how much of a douchebag he was. She was just lucky it was Senior year.

Stacy, Gabe's girlfriend, tried to absolutely kill Hazel and her reputation. People knew of Hazel, but no one truly knew her. They actually started trying to notice her. Jimmy protected her, however, and no one tried anything because of that. He was the popular boy; he was a baseball, basketball, and football star. Everyone loved him, and in turn, people started to think that maybe Hazel wasn't at fault. If Jimmy believed in her, then obviously she was alright. But Hazel still didn't like being seen.

Yes, she was the best soccer player at school. But she was still quiet and shy. It didn't matter that she was the best striker in pretty much all of the county; she just wanted to sit in the back of the room and not be noticed. Hazel was always Hazel: quiet, soft, meek. And Gabe made her even more so.

And she had never let herself get attached to anyone that wasn't family or Jimmy like that again. Until Logan came along.

Hazel would have continued dwelling on Gabe and Stacy and high school and her semi-emotional wall and her weird emotions toward Jimmy and everything swirling around in her pretty little head if a knocking on the door hadn't distracted her.

"Come in!" she called. Logan came walking in wearing a Patriots sweatshirt and jeans, flowers in hand.

"Hey," Logan smiled, his dimple showing. Hazel gave him a hug.

"Hi," she replied, and she thought about Gabe for a fleeting moment. But then...then it was just Logan.

"I um...I got you more flowers," Logan said, and he handed her the bouquet. She threw her arms around him inadvertently. Then she pulled back.

"Sorry," she mumbled, her cheeks reddening.

"No," he replied, a stupefied grin on his face, "it's perfectly fine."

"Well let's start this movie," she said awkwardly, brushing hair behind her ear. He bit his lip, and they went to the couch. "We can watch whichever first. Which one would you prefer?" she asked, and he smiled.

"I think we should watch Roman Holiday first," he replied. "After all, it is your favorite, so it must be good."

"Oh, um...." Hazel couldn't help but insanely blush. "A-Alright. That sounds good."

Hazel was looking at the ground, blushing crazily. When she went to put the flowers with the other flowers Logan had bought, she called,

"Do you want anything?"

"Just a water, please," he nodded politely. His heart was thumping uncontrollably in his chest. Haz got him a bottle of water, also grabbing one for herself. Then she went back into the living room.

"Make yourself at home," she offered, giving him the water. He smiled that award-winning smile that made Hazel crazy, and then he sat down. She sat down next to him, and they started the movie.

-

"Oh my gosh!" Logan exclaimed. "It can't end that way! No! There's no way it ends that way!"

Hazel giggled.

"It completely ends that way," she smiled.

"Both of them!" he exclaimed. "Both of the movies ended like-"

"I know, I know," she smiled. And she looked at the clock. It was well past eleven, closer to twelve, but she didn't care. The entire night was just such a rush of fun.

"I mean, first of all, Scout never sees Boo Radley again, and we have no idea what happens to Jem or Scout. Secondly, we don't know if Princess Ann sees Joe Bradley again!" he protested. "I just....It's not right, Haz! How could they do it? Gosh!"

"Logan, that's life," she laughed. "It's a good lesson to learn."

"You sound like my mother when I was a teenager," he laughed. "But wow. I can't believe how good those movies were."

"I told you. Roman Holiday is such a lovely movie," she smiled, emphasizing the word lovely. Logan laughed. She loved sharing that movie with people. It was like a part of her.

"I should probably get going," he said softly, looking at the ground. They made their way over to the door, and it seemed like the night was ending too soon.

"Yeah, I guess," she replied softly. His heart was beating faster and louder, faster and louder, and he was almost certain she could hear it.

The two of them, these two children, were standing in the doorframe lost in their own world. She couldn't help but stare at his lips and his eyes and him. And he couldn't help but stare at her eyelashes and skin and nose and everything. It was a beautiful moment. And they were so close to each other.

"This might be an odd question," he murmured, "or maybe just forward. But can I...can I kiss you, Hazel?"

The question sent Hazels stomach doing backflips.

"Can I kiss you back?" she whispered, and neither of them said another word before their lips were pressed together.

Logan's lips were soft and full, and they seemed to fit perfectly against Hazel's. They tasted like popcorn and salt, and she couldn't help but smile into him.

Hazel's lips were just as soft and just as full. They had a slight gloss on them, and they tasted slightly like butter and mint. Logan could feel her mouth smiling into him.

His hands made their way up to her cheeks, and he was lost in her. Her hands lingered in his curls. And finally, they pulled apart.

"Does this mean you're my girlfriend?" Logan asked breathlessly, taking in the beauty of Hazel's face.

"If it means you're my boyfriend," she replied softly, her breathing heavy. And she bit her lip and smiled.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" he asked, her eyes fervent and prettier than he'd ever seen.

"I'll see you tomorrow," she confirmed, and she pressed her lips to his again.

"Goodnight, Haz."

"Goodnight, Logan."

And after he was gone, after she made her way back to the couch, she discovered he left his sweatshirt. But she didn't call him back to tell him. She just went into her room, stripped into her underwear, and wrapped Logan's sweatshirt around her.

She fell asleep grinning like a fool, her lips tingling from kissing her boyfriend.
